"How're you feeling, my furry genius and our leader, does your dad know yet that you're being a leader." Linda asked Shocket as she was sitting outside on the fire-escape drinking Dr Pepper as she was enjoying the night-breeze blowing through her fur and mohawk needing some air after deciding to become the leader of their team which was a total surprise belching, which made Linda giggle seeing Shocket grin.
"Not yet as he'd flip out either freaked or joyful ashe's the leader of the Guardians but he would be proud of me, if I tell them compared to what the adults in my life had told me." Shocket replied wondering where Firestar and Gravity were hearing they were out unaware they were working on a surprise for Shocket and had went to ask Rocket and Gamora the things Shocket loved, to throw her a party to welcomeher asthe leader.
"I guess they're doing their own thing, like us just chilling you know." Shocket said.
She also realised RJ'sbirthday was coming up, knowing it was a big deal for her dad because he was the one who'd adopted him, knowing he'd do something big for her brother including a cake involving Nutella knowing it was his coping food which made him a happy kit hearing Linda ask, if she wanted to get ice-cream seeing her excited grabbing her nech-suit since Linda could fly, activating her rocket-boosters but had locked their apartment-door so intruders wouldn't break in enjoying the sounds and sights of New York guessing Casey felt like thisevery jight patrolling as Raccoon Girl grinning which Linda got, landing outside the ice-cream parlour seeing Shockethem conceal it before she and Linda entered to not draw attention to them holding hands grinning sitting down at a booth taking a photo together sending it to their dads ordering a sundae they could share excited about the future, only she was still a detective in training and still attended Avengers Campus but was her senior year meaning she'd graduate making Shocket so proud of her, knowing she'd want to go to college after that, but would support her Ducky if this happened pushing those thoughts away
"Yeah, only I haveclasses tomorrow, plus a practice-case coming up which makes me excited like you being a leader and I'll help when not studying or doing homeworkso you don't get overwhelmed you know." Linda said to her seeing Shocket eating a lot unaware her metabolism was changing and slowly getting cute and squishy like her dad grinning deciding to let her discover this adorable change on her own hoping she wouldn't freak out and just being themselves leaving after paying returning to the apartment as Linda had classes in the morning seeing Linda getting into pyjamas making Shocket grin, drinking hot cocoa to relax her mind as she wanted Lijda to have a good night's rest making Linda frown, she was more concerned about Shocket who wouldn't sleep without her and Helen plus saw Shocket yawning getting into bed beside her promising to let her rest.
"Shockie, as much as I love detective stuff, I also love you and want you to get sleep so you can be the best leader." she said to her kissing her seeing her grin lying beside her feeling safe and secure as the apartment quietened down as Firestar and Gravity returned realising things were quiet opening Linda and Shocket's door smiling seeing they were sleeping giving them an idea, to have celebration pancakes until Shocket heard somebody asking for help, activating her mech-suit leaving the apartment hoping she wouldn't bump into Casey seeing thieves scooping down and kicking their butts tying them up seeing cops show up curious about the stranger in the purple mech-suit asking if she worked with Raccoon Girl, taking off.
Shocket felt good returning to the apartment, taking off her mech-suit getting back into bed beside Linda hoping everything would be okay until Linda saw the morning-news being proud of Shocket and worried spitting out coffee seeing the news making Gravity impressed by this.
"She's very awesome and see why she's your soulmate." he said seeing Linda nod as she was leaving for school hoping Shocket would be okay, until she got back and checked on her seeing Shocket deep asleep in her side of the bed cuddling Quacker and Helen kissing her head before leaving for the day aftergrabbing her detective stuff closing the door gently so she wouldn't wake Shocket.
Shocket awoke around early-afternoon sitting up in bed realising that Linda wasn't there aboutto flip out remembering Lijda was in classes taking a deep-breath feeling hungry, really hungry gettingout in her nightshirt with purple leggings stretching leaving her and Limda's room, going into the fridge finding pancakes and making herself coffee to wake herself up astounded seeing Firestar.
"Sorry if I frightened you, let me heat those Up foryou, boss." he said using his fire-powers to heat up those pancakes making her in awe hearing Firestar chuckle at her reaction being careful not to set off the fire alarms or hurt Shocket clapping her paws making him surprised by this.
"Thanks Shockie, and was talking to your folks and proud ofyou plus bet your dad is bragging about it." he said making Shocket's furry cheeks go pink at Firestar's words sitting at the table surprising Firestar, wondering why she was like this, she deserved to be the leader of their team.
"It's a lomg story, Firey." she replied softly sipping coffee
