Chapter 3: You're Part of the Gang, Peggy Jean
"This castle is so cool!" BJ smiled. "Where'd you get it?"
"We made it out of cardboard boxes, and we still got lots more." Whitney explained.
"I can tell." BJ laughed. "Marcie made a bookshelf and Schroeder made a piano with a Beethoven bust."
"I made the bust." Linus smiled.
"Impressive."
"Would you like to make something, BJ?" Barney asked.
"Oh would I? This is going to be so great!" BJ smiled.
"What're you gonna build?" Peggy Jean asked.
"PLEASE say you HAVE A BLUEPRINT!" Lila exclaimed.
"It's not a building Lila." BJ said. "But wait till you see it."
A few moments later, Barney, Kami, Peggy Jean, Lila, Whitney, Sally, and Heather were waiting by the Idea Bench. "I still don't see anything." Sally said.
BJ then came out from behind a tree, wearing a top hat and cape. "Ready?" BJ whispered.
"For what?" Peggy Jean wondered.
BJ then cleared his throat. "Ladies and gentlemen, presenting, BJ's one and only, happy box pachyderm!"
"What in the world is a pachyderm?!" Sally asked with wide eyes.
"That's just another word for elephant." Barney smiled.
"ELEPHANT?!" The girls and Barney asked.
"Wow!" Peggy Jean giggled.
"Right this way! Here she comes!" BJ smiled before a cardboard elephant costume came out with Peppermint Patty and Scott inside it.
Barney, BJ, Barney's Friends, and Peanuts Gang:
Elephant, elephant, elephant, elephant.
BJ:
She's big and friendly (Elephant!)
Wrinkled and gray (Elephant!)
And with her great big feet, better get out of the way
of the elephant (Elephant!)
The ground it shakes (Elephant!)

And she sounds like a trumpet, whenever she talks

with her floppy king-sized elephant ears.

Peppermint Patty and Scott popped out of the costume. "That was fun!" Peggy Jean smiled.
"Shucks." Lucy smiled.
"Wow Jay, you really had a good idea for those boxes." Mario smiled.
"You certainly did. In fact, you all used a lot of imagination, and made fun things out of these boxes!" Barney smiled.
"But Barney, you haven't made anything yet." Lila pointed out.
"Oh you're right." Barney realized. "With all the fun that's been happening, I guess I forgot."
"What can a dinosaur make with boxes?" Peggy Jean wondered.
"Good question. You'll get a super-dee-duper answer." Sally winked.
Barney began to think of an idea. "Oh ho ho, I got it! And it's something we could all do together!" Barney smiled.
"YEAH!" the kids smiled before heading inside the caboose, and gathering supplies.
"What're we making?" Peggy Jean asked.
"Instruments." Schroeder smiled.
"Wow!" Peggy smiled.
She then joined them and got to work. Peggy, Heather, Lila, Lucy, Whitney, Marcie, and Kami built shakers. Schroeder, Franklin, Snoopy, Woodstock, and Mario built guitars. And Charlie Brown, Linus, Peppermint Patty, Sally, and Scott built kazoos. After awhile, they were done and began to march.
"Alright! Here we go!" BJ smiled.

"YEE HAW! Shaker solo!" exclaimed Peggy Jean, to everyone's amusement.
"That was super dee duper!" Barney smiled. "Oh, and thank you for the baton you made me."
"And check out the great drum I made out of a hat box." BJ smiled. "Man, I gotta take this home and show sissy! She'll love it! And besides, it's probably time to wake her up from her nap anyway. See ya later!"
"Bye BJ!" Everyone waved as he disappeared in a trace of magic sparkles.
A few moments later, they were all back outside. "So, did we clean up all of the boxes?" Charlie Brown asked.
"I believe so." Linus said.
"I think I'm gonna like it here." Peggy Jean said, to Heather and Lucy.
"Well good! We'll have more fun times together!" Heather smiled.
"You know for a bunch of empty boxes they sure were a lot of fun." Scott smiled.
"Well, boxes are nice. But it's really your imaginations that made them so much fun." Barney smiled.
"You know, you're right." Peggy Jean giggled. "These are just as fun as you, Barney."
"Awwww." Everyone smiled.
"Thank you, Peggy." Barney smiled as she hugged him.

"Nice song. I'll memorize it." Peggy smiled.
"Please do. It'll be more fun if you sing it with us." Charlie Brown smiled.
"Well, I guess we better get going now." Whitney smiled. "I can't wait to tell my grandparents about all the neat things we made with the boxes."
"Bye Barney, bye Snoopy!" the kids waved. Snoopy then cleared his throat, getting Peggy's attention. She then saw the tissue box that Kami had.
"Oh, Kami must have forgot." Peggy said before handing the Barney doll his flower and a tissue. "Here's your flower back, and if you sneeze again, there's one more tissue in the box." Peggy smiled then kissed the Barney doll on it's head. "Thanks again, Barney! Bye!"
Snoopy and Woodstock smiled before they both winked at the Barney doll, which winked right back.
