"…. W-What's going on, why're we still here and not home." Linda heard a familar voice askijg groggily hugging Shocket gently but guessed she'd finally stirred which made her happy.

It was now a few mornings later since the High Evolutionary had kidnapped Shocket, giving her super-soldier serum without her or her dad's consent but now was in the infirmary of a certain campus while being checked out plus Lijda had been worrying about her despite it being finals week so she'd came to see her furry soulmate in case she was awake, and she was making Shocket just as relieved unawsre her dad and Howard noticed letting them be plus Rocket was filling Gamora in on what was happening to their girl.

"Everything's okay Shockie, the docs were just making sure the serum isn't screwing with your body, only it's pretty coll you're sort of becoming a super-soldier and taller than your pops." Linda replied as they were cuddling making Dr Banner smirk, knowing from Rocket how close those two were, only Linda remembered something she'd wanted to say unsure of how Shocket would react being quiet, which worried Shocket in case something was wrong.

"Shockie there's something else we need to talk about, I-I got into Harvard." Linda said seeing Shocket grin surprising the female-duckling she wasn't upset which was good knowing her soulmate as Shocket knew how badly her Ducky wanted this and studied hard kissing her feathery cheek.

"I knew you coulddo it and so proud, like your dad must be." she replied.

"He is and already bragging about it, like your pops with you leading the New Warriors at least we'll have Summer, maybe you'll come up with something so when I do go to college, it'll be okay." Linda told her seeing a mischievous look on Shocket's furry face at that.

"Challenge accepted, Ducky." Shocket told her seeing her leaving for class unaware her and Shocket's friends had found out that Shocket was here, wanting to see her making the female-duckling sigh, Shocket needed to rest so their friend-group badgering her mightn't be the best thing however Galacta was giving her a buttload of candy for Shocket which was alright.

"Thanks, I'll get it to her at recess, she's gonna love it." she said.

"Yep, your dad told us what happened, she's gonna be okay." Tommy said.

"Yep, and you toldher your news, about Harvard." Billy added seeing her nod.

After the final in that class, Linda was heading to the infirmary with what their friends had given her seeing Shocket running from doctors wondering what theheck was going on seeing her rip a door off it's himges seeing one of the docs there explaining they'd tried to get a blood sample which shegot telling him to let her handle this guessing where she was heading to her uncle's office hearinghim and Shocket opening the door softly.

"There you are, the docs are looking for you, plus our friends want to see you, Galacta gave you a buttload's worth of candy, it's not about me going to Harvard." Linda said to her sitting near her on the floor like old times listening to her explain understanding.

"She'sjust struggling with what's happening to herself and the changes in your relationship with you going to Harvard, we'll help her out plus it was a mistake to show her needles you know." Rocket told Linda knowing the swear jar in her and Linda's place might burst making Lijda chuckle, stunned her girl had kept her trash-mouth shut the entire time she'dbeen here.

"Comeon Shockie let's go." Linda said giving Shocket an idea, putting Linda on her back leaving making the female-duckling giggle seeing the reactions of students but also the faculty at this including Dean Carol as Shocket charged through the hallways like a football player, needing to talk to Rocket despite hearing cheering especially from Shocket's friends knowing this would encourage mischief.

"That was freaking brillant what you did, the teachers were talking abiut it all day along with the other students but so glad you got discharged as we missed you." Linda said to Shocket that early-evening.

After the little chaos and getting her bloodwork done by cuddling Linda, Shocket had been discharged so was back home at her and Linda's partof the penthouse-apartment they shared with Firestar and Gravity, only the docs had toldher to take it easy which Linda was helping with by having an easy night as Shocket wanted to celebrate that she got into Harvard seeing Howard show up, asking Shocket if he could borrow Linda.

"Sure she's your kid after all, bet you're wanting to celebrate her news." she said to him which Linda noticed her tone despite Shocket saying it was okay for her to go with her dad.

"You sure Shockie, I'll make it up to you." she whispered kissing her
