Chapter 2
Tension in a New Dimension
The Demi-Rocket travels through the wormhole as the Girls watched the vivid colors and dancing lights in amazement.
Bubbles: (eyes start flashing in rainbow colors) Wow! What a lightshow!
Bouquet: (eyes flash in rainbow colors) So many pretty colors!
Blossom: Don't get too distracted, Girls. We're inside an inter-dimensional tunnel, remember? If we slip up here, we may never get out.
Butterfly: (she starts to panic) Never get out? B-But I don't wanna be trapped in here forever! I'll... I'LL GO NUTS!
Buttercup: Hey! Take it easy, Butterfly!
Butterfly: (she pulls puppy-dog eyes) I just couldn't help myself, Buttercup…
Buttercup: Hey! We'll make it through this! Besides, it feels pretty smooth so far.
Just then, the rocket starts shaking violently as the wormhole starts becoming more violent. An alarm blares and Butterfly starts panicking again.
Butterfly: EEEE-AAAAAAAAAHHHH! (she starts frantically flying around the deck)
Buttercup: Me and my big mouth... SNAP OUT OF IT, BUTTERFLY! (she chases after Butterfly)
As Buttercup tries to snap Butterfly out of her panic mood, Blossom checked the specs on the rocket to make sure nothing is broken.
Blossom: Okay... Exterior hull, green. Rocket boosters, green... Guidance system... RED!?
Bubbles: What does red mean!?
Blossom: It's bad! The automatic guidance system is failing!
Bubbles: WHAT!?
Blossom: We'll have to switch to full manual control!
Buttercup: Better do it fast! Butterfly's at it again!
Butterfly: I think I've already got cabin fever!
Blossom: Hang tight, Girls! Switching to manual...
Bouquet: Gulp…
Blossom: NOW!
The rocket starts spinning wildly and Blossom has a hard time keeping it under control but somehow, manages to even it out. While that happened, the orb comes loose and starts rolling around on the deck.
Buttercup: (gasped) The orb! Somebody catch it!
Butterfly finally managed to come back to her senses and uses her telekinesis to catch the orb.
Butterfly: Got it!
Bouquet: Yeah, but who's got us!?
Blossom tries her best to keep the rocket steady as she sees a faint light ahead.
Blossom: Look! There's a small light up ahead! We're almost out!
Suddenly, the Girls started distorting and glitching out, along with the rest of the rocket.
Bubbles: What's happen-pen-penning to us-s-s-s!?
Buttercup: We're gl-gl-glitching out!
Blossom: It mu-mu-must be some kind-ind-ind of trans-dimensional anomaly-y-y-y!
Bouquet: Do something, Blo-lo-lossom! I'm sca-ca-cared!
Butterfly: IT'S O-OVER! WE'RE DOOM-OOM-OOMED!
The glitching gets worse, the closer the rocket gets to the light until the rocket becomes a glitchy mess.
Girls: (glitched screaming)
It stops when they come out to the other end of the tunnel, and they find themselves in a completely different world.
Bubbles: Phew... That sure wasn't very fun... But at least we made it...
Buttercup: (groaned) Speak for yourself, Bubbles... I feel all funny...
Bouquet: Me too…
Butterfly: (she looked out the window and gasped) Check it out, Girls!
The Girls looked out the windows to witness the mountainous landscape they have appeared over.
Bubbles: Oh wow! Look at this pace! It's beautiful!
Buttercup: I'll say! Get a load of those mountains!
Bouquet: I don't think we have ANYTHING like this back home!
Blossom: Guess that proves it. We are NOT in Townsville anymore.
Butterfly: Yup! Good thing we're not dreaming this! This place is amazing!
Blossom: Now, all we have to do is to find the nearest city so that we can get to the bottom of the mystery of this orb, what it is, where it came from and what it's meant for.
As Blossom points out the priorities of the mission, Buttercup becomes very eager to try the Demi- Rocket out for herself.
Buttercup: Scratch that! (she kicked Blossom out of her seat)
Blossom: (she landed on her butt) Ooof! (she turned to Buttercup) Hey! Buttercup, what are you doing!?
Buttercup: I wanna see what this baby can really do!
Blossom: No, Buttercup! Don't touch anything!
Buttercup: Hmmm... (she notices the big red button reading 'TURBO SPEED') Huh? Turbo speed?
Girls (except Buttercup): GASP!
Buttercup: Cool!
Bubbles: No, Buttercup! DON'T!
Buttercup: Hey, I know what I'm doing! Turbo speed... (she slams the button with her palm) GO!
The Demi-Rocket suddenly goes into turbo speed and flies at an increasingly dangerous velocity.
Girls (except Buttercup): AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
Buttercup: YAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO, BABY!
Blossom: (shouted) BUTTERCUUUUUUUP!
The Demi-Rocket speeds insanely fast as it flies past the city down below. The citizens are stunned when they see the rocket speeding past in the sky above.
Blossom manages to stand on her feet and reaches for the normal speed override button. After pressing it, the rocket goes back to normal speed.
Buttercup: HEY! I was just getting to the best part!
Blossom: Are you insane!? You nearly got us all killed!
Bouquet: Yeah! And look what you've done to my beautiful hair! (she's shown with her hair got puffed up) It's all puffed up!
Buttercup: Come on, you guys! I was just trying to have some fun!
Bubbles: Just please don't do that again!
Buttercup: (grumbles) Fine. (she crosses her arms)
Butterfly: From now on, nothing but smooooth sailing. (she notices something approaching up ahead) As long as we don't hit (she pointed forward) THOSE MOUNTAINS!
Blossom: What mountains? (she looks back) UWAH!
Noticing the mountains too late, Blossom steers the rocket hard to starboard, but the rocket hits the mountain and loses its port wing on impact.
Bubbles: That didn't sound good! I think we've been hit!
Butterfly: Worse than that, we've lost the port wing! Repeat, THE PORT WING IS GONE!
The rocket starts spinning out of control and plummets towards the ocean. The Girls start screaming as the rocket plummets until it hits the water with a loud splash.
The Girls regained consciousness right after the crash and Blossom asks if there are any injuries.
Blossom: (groaned) Is everyone alright?
Bubbles: (groaned) I think so.
Bouquet: I'm still breathing.
Butterfly: Me too.
Buttercup: Same here.
Blossom: (sighed) Damage report.
Butterfly: No good. We've lost our port wing, the engine's flooded and we're rapidly taking on water. (she pauses for a brief moment, then her eyes widen with shock) WATER!?
The Girls only just noticed that the deck is being flooded with seawater and when Bubbles looks out the window, she notices a school of fish swimming outside the rocket.
Bubbles: WE'RE SINKING!
The Girls jumped with fright when they heard a loud electrical crackle and all the lights go out.
Buttercup: HEY! Who turned out the lights!?
Bouquet: We've just lost all power!
Butterfly: Aaah! ABANDON SHIP!
Buttercup: Hey, take it easy, Butterfly! We'll figure a way out of this!
With time running out, Blossom looks around until she spotted the escape hatch, along with five emergency life jackets.
Blossom: Look! There's the escape hatch! (she ran towards the life jackets and grabs them) Quick! Put these on!
Blossom throws four of the life jackets to her sisters. After they all put on their life jackets, Blossom runs to the escape hatch and gets ready to open it.
Blossom: Okay, Girls! Get ready to hold your breath!
Just when Blossom is about to open the hatch, Butterfly realizes they are forgetting something.
Butterfly: Wait! The orb! (she quickly grabs the orb) Got it!
Blossom: Okay! Here we go…
The Girls breathe in deeply as Blossom opens the escape hatch and all the water comes rushing in. They managed to get out of the rocket and they swim for their lives to the surface. As soon as they do, they gasped desperately for air.
Girls: (gasping and coughing)
After watching the rocket sink to the bottom of the ocean, they swam to the shore, all exhausted and very wet.
Bubbles: (she panted heavily) We made it…
Butterfly: But our ride's... sleeping with... the fishes!
Bouquet: I'll say…
Buttercup: Well, this never would have happened if Cap'n Klutz here hadn't been hogging the controls!
Blossom: Hey! You're the one who pushed that turbo speed button! And I told you not to touch anything!
Buttercup: And there you go again (she does a mocking imitation of Blossom) 'Don't do this! Don't do that! I'm the boss around here!' You NEVER let us do anything fun!
Blossom: (she quivered with frustration) Oh, Buttercup! When will you ever learn!?
As Blossom and Buttercup kept arguing, Bubbles, Butterfly and Bouquet noticed something very different about them.
Bouquet: Um... Blossom? Buttercup?
Blossom/Buttercup: WHAT!?
Bouquet: Not sure if I've noticed this before, but there's something strange about you two.
Blossom/Buttercup: Huh?
Bouquet: You've got hands and fingers!
Blossom: Hands?
Buttercup: Fingers?
Blossom and Buttercup looked at themselves and realized they DO have limbs.
Buttercup: What the heck's happened to us!?
Blossom: I don't know! W-Wait! Don't tell me...
Blossom and Buttercup looked at their reflections at a nearby pool and made a shocking discovery that their artistic design and animation style have changed.
Blossom/Buttercup: GASP!
Blossom: (stunned) Why, I... I've changed... I look like some kind of...anime character!
Buttercup: Me too! Man, this is just too weird!
The other Girls noticed that they have changed as well and take a liking to it.
Bouquet: Hey! I've got hands and fingers too!
Bubbles: (giggled) You look so much cuter, Butterfly!
Butterfly: (giggled) Aw, shucks!
Buttercup: Wait a sec... You don't think this has anything to do with those crazy glitches, do you? And how come we haven't noticed these changes before?
Bubbles: Mmm... I don't know.
Bouquet: Me neither. (she turned to Blossom) Blossom, do you know what's going on?
Blossom: (she scratches her chin) Hmmm... It's quite possible that these changes occurred the moment we stumbled into this dimension through the wormhole. That's my guess on what those glitches were about. As for not noticing these changes before, my guess is that traveling between dimensions must've temporarily disoriented our perception of reality.
Butterfly: That's quite interesting, but... (she looked at herself) I actually kinda like the new me!
Bouquet: Me too!
Bubbles: Me three!
Just then, Blossom hears her newly modified HotPhone and she answers after shaking the seawater off of it.
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) GIRLS! Doggone it! Come in! Do you read me!?
Blossom: We're here, Professor!
Buttercup: Sheesh! Why'd you have to be so loud!?
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) Oh, thank goodness you're alright! When I lost the signal from the Demi-Rocket, I thought you were goners!
Bubbles: We're just fine, Professor.
Professor Utonium sees the Girls through the HotPhone's monitor and noticed the changes they have undergone when entering the orb's dimension.
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) Oh, Girls. I'm just so relieved you're all safe but... you look kind of funny. Did something happened when you travelled through the interdimensional tunnel?
Blossom: Well.. yes. We've undergone some dramatic changes upon entering this dimension.
Bubbles: Yeah! We look so much cuter now!
Butterfly: Hey, if you think that's weird, look at these! (she shows Professor Utonium her hands)
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor, shocked) Ahh!
Butterfly: See? Fingers!
Bouquet: But we've all grown to like these new changes.
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor, he scratches his chin in intrigue) Mmmm, fascinating!
Buttercup: Well, that's the good news. The bad news is the rocket's... (she becomes sheepish) kinda, sorta…sunk?
Blossom: BUTTERCUP!
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor, shocked) WHAT!?
Buttercup: But it was all our fearless leader's fault! If only she'd- (she gets hushed by Bubbles) (muffled shouting)
Blossom: Buttercup hit the turbo speed button and sent us crashing into a mountain and into the ocean!
Bouquet: Yeah! We were all there when it happened!
Butterfly: (nodded) It's true! That was so scary!
Buttercup breaks free of Bubbles' grasp and shouted at the top of her voice.
Buttercup: (shouted) TATTLETALES!
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor, sternly) Buttercup!
Buttercup: (she grumbled and crosses her arms)
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) OH! That reminds me, Girls! There's something I forgot to tell you right before you left!
Girls: What is it!?
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) You mustn't use your powers while you're traveling in that world.
Buttercup: What!?
Bubbles: But why?
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) Call it a hunch, but inhabitants of that dimension may not be familiar with anyone with super-strangth, or laser vision or the ability to fly. If you were caught using those powers, they might freak out, or worse…
Buttercup: Are you telling us we have to march, march, MARCH our way into town!? Well, that's just GREAT!
Bouquet: Let the Professor finish, Buttercup!
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) I know it's hard for all of you to take in, but it's for your own good. So, are you up for the challenge, Girls?
Blossom: (she thinks for a minute) Hmmm...
Buttercup: (concerned) Blossom…
After considerate thinking for a minute, Blossom finally speaks up to Professor Utonium, much to Buttercup's distress.
Blossom: We can take it, Professor.
Buttercup: WHAT!? Aw, COME ON!
Blossom: (she turned to Buttercup) What choice do we have, Buttercup?
Buttercup: (groaned)
Blossom: Okay, Professor. We'll go on ahead now, and we'll update you as soon as we get to the bottom of this mystery.
Professor Utonium: (through the HotPhone monitor) I know I can count on you, Girls. We'll stay in touch. Good luck, and remember, no superpowers. Got it?
Blossom: Got it, and thanks, Professor. (she hangs up)
Bouquet: Okay, now what?
Blossom: We head for the nearest settlement. If I remember right, it's over those mountains. (she pointed to the mountains)
Buttercup: Those mountains!? You've gotta be kidding!
Butterfly: Hate to break it to you, but she's not kidding.
Buttercup: Well, that's just terrific! Just how are we supposed to make it over those things if we're not allowed to fly!?
Bubbles: We walk, that's all we can do.
Bouquet: Besides, you could use some exercise.
Buttercup: Aw, MAN!
Blossom: Come on, Girls. We've got a long way to go.
The Powerpuff Girls started walking through the wilderness under the blazing sun, growing more and more exhausted with every step they take. Eventually, when they are half way through the mountains, Buttercup snapped under the pressure and lets out a scream.
Buttercup: GRRR! THIS IS TAKING FOREVER!
*echoing* Forever! Forever! Forever!
Butterfly rolls her eyes in exasperation after Buttercup's outburst.
Buttercup: What's the point of all this hiking anyway!? If we flew our way into town, we'd be there a few HOURS ago!
*echoing* Hours ago! Hours ago!
Blossom: Buttercup, we have to keep our word to the Professor, because even if we do use our powers, it might put some inhabitants of this dimension at great risk.
Buttercup: RISK!?
*echoing* Risk!? Risk!?
Buttercup: Hellooo! I'M the one at risk here! AT RISK OF GOING COMPLETELY BANANAS!
*echoing* Bananas! Bananas!
Butterfly sternly marches in front of Buttercup, glaring at her to stop. This makes Buttercup a little nervous.
Buttercup: (nervously chuckled)
Butterfly: Haven't you caused enough trouble already!?
*echoing* Already!? Already!?
Buttercup: (nervously) Sorry…
Suddenly, Buttercup's eyes widen over realizing that she just wimped out in front of Butterfly.
Buttercup: Wait a minute... What the heck am I sorry for!?
*echoing* Sorry for!? Sorry for!?
Buttercup: Besides, LOOK!
*echoes* Look! Look!
Buttercup: There isn't anyone around for MILES up here! What's so good of hiding your powers if nobody's around to see you!?
*echoing* See you!? See you!?
Bubbles is so tempted by Buttercup's shouting echoing in the mountains, that she lets out a yodel, much to the annoyance of her sisters.
Bubbles: (singsong) YODELAY-HEE-HOOO!
*echoing* Ay-hee-hoo! Ay-hee-hoo! Ay-hee-hoo!
Buttercup: (she turned to Bubbles) Really?
Bubbles: (giggled cheerfully) It's kinda fun!
All of a sudden, they heard a loud earth-shaking explosion from down below that makes them jump with fright.
Girls: EEEP!
Bouquet: (startled) What the heck was that!?
Bubbles: That sounded like an explosion!
Buttercup: (she turned to Bubbles) Now you've done it!
Bubbles: (remorsefully whined)
Blossom notices a plume of smoke coming from a mountainside village.
Blossom: It came from down there in that village!
Buttercup: FINALLY! Some action! Now can we-
Girls (except Buttercup): NO!
Buttercup: Aww, come on!
Blossom: (whispered) Shh! Look down there!
Using their powerful yes to zoom their vision in on the village, the Girls discovered that it is being ravaged by a gang of armed criminals.
Butterfly: Oh, that looks bad…
Bubbles: They're being attacked by gangsters!
Bouquet: With guns!
Buttercup: (sarcastically) Well, we can't just WALK our way down there! It'll already be too late by then!
As they watched the smoke rise from the village, they spotted in the sky the silhouette of a young boy with gold, gagged hair and a muscular physique. He starts flying down towards the village with a proud look on his face.
Bubbles: HEY! That boy's flying!
Bouquet: And glowing!
Butterfly: He's got superpowers too!
Buttercup: (she turned to Blossom, smugly) You were saying?
Down in the village, the crooks have rounded up an innocent family and threaten them at gunpoint to surrender whatever money they have.
Little Girl: Ngh! Let me go, you creep! That hurts!
Gangster #2: Ah, SHADDUP! (he throws the little girl in with the others)
Little Girl: OOF!
Gangsters: (surrounded family and chuckle sinisterly)
Innocent Family: (terrified whimpering)
Gangster Leader: Ah-right, ya buncha country bums! Give us everything ya got and nobody gets hurt!
Gangsters: (they're taking aim)
Gangster Leader: Otherwise, you's TOAST!
Gangster #3: (he noticed the boy approaching from above) Wh-What the heck is that!?
Gangster Leader: SHADDUP! Whaddaya talkin' about!?
The mysterious boy landed on the rubble behind the hostages.
Gangster Leader: Oh.
Gotenks: Yo, punks! Trying to gun some innocent folks out of their money, huh? (he wagged finger) Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Gangster Leader: Hey! Who do you think you are, ya little shrimp!?
Gotenks: I'll just make this quick, okay? Anybody who starts a ruckus around here is gonna answer to the one, the only... GOTENKS! That's me!
Gangster Leader: Oh, really? Light 'em up boys! Show that twerp who's boss!
The gangsters fired at Gotenks until they run out of bullets, but he effectively catches every last one with his bare hands.
Gangsters: (gasped in shock)
Gotenks: (he crushes the bullets in his hands and drops them to the ground) You see that, losers? To me, catching your bullets is a piece of cake.
Gangster Leader: (angrily clenches fists) Oh... YEAH!?
The leader dashes to his car, pops the trunk and brings out a bazooka to fire at Gotenks.
Gangster Leader: (he locks on target) WELL, CATCH THIS, PUNK!
The gangster leader fires a rocket at Gotenks, but the boy catches it with ease, twirls it around in his hand and jumps high into the air, getting ready to send it back.
Gangster Leader: (stunned silence)
Gotenks: Hey, moron! You dropped this!
Gotenks throws the rocket like a javelin directly at the car as it goes up in an explosion that sends the leader flying into his gang, rendering them unconscious.
Back on the mountain trail, the Girls are amazed by what Gotenks just did in defeating a mob all by himself.
Bubbles: I don't believe it... He took them all down!
Butterfly: And he did it with zero effort!
Bouquet: Whoever he is, he's amazing!
Buttercup becomes a little jealous of Gotenks and the other Girls started teasing her about it.
Buttercup: Hey, I could've done that!
Bubbles: What's the matter, Buttercup? Are you jealous or something?
Buttercup: OF COURSE NOT!
The other Girls looked at Buttercup suspiciously.
Buttercup: Okay, maybe a little.
Back in the village, Gotenks brushes off his hands and watches the police putting the gangsters under arrest and taking them away. He then turned to the family he just rescued but they are in stunned silence by Gotenks' powers.
Gotenks: What? No applause?
Innocent Family: (speechless gasping)
Gotenks: Uhhh... (he tilts head to right) You're welcome?
The family still does not reply.
Gotenks: Well, I'd... better be off! Gotenks out! (he flies off)
The Girls keep watching as Gotenks flies away until he is out of sight.
Buttercup: Well, now we know that some folks in this world can fly and kick butt and stuff, so now can we-
Girls (except Buttercup): NO!
Buttercup: But WHY!? You saw what that kid did!
Blossom: We saw everything, Buttercup. But this world is different from ours, remember?
Buttercup: So? What's your point?
Butterfly: Surely, you must've seen that family's reaction when they saw what that boy can do.
Bouquet: Yeah. They were stunned speechless.
Bubbles: (nodded) So true.
Blossom: You see, Buttercup? The people back home don't mind us having awesome superpowers but the people here would see them as something alien.
Buttercup: Alien, huh? (she crosses her arms) But we came here from another dimension, not another planet.
Blossom: Same deal. I'm sorry, Buttercup. We all are, but that's pretty much the gist of it.
Buttercup is about to say something but has no words left.
Blossom: Now, come on, Girls. We'd better keep moving.
The Girls continued their strenuous journey through the mountains until a few hours later, on the verge of collapsing with exhaustion, they come across a huge crop field.
Butterfly: (her stomach begins to growl) Boy, I'm so hungry…
Bouquet: (she groaned as her face turns green from heatstroke) At least you're hungry... I don't feel so good…
Bubbles: GASP! Water... Need... water…
Buttercup: Aw, this is nuts... We've been walking so long, my toes feel like they're about to fall off! Wait a minute... (she takes off left mary jane shoe and feels her left foot for toes) Yeah, I got 'em, but for how much longer?
Blossom: I'm sure we'll find some food around here somewhere. If only there's-
?: Watch out!
The Girls looked in front and there was a tractor heading towards them.
Girls: (they cling to each other) AAAAHHH!
The Girls tried to escape but are too exhausted to move fast enough. The tractor keeps moving in closer and closer until a tall man jumps in and pushes the vehicle out of the way. It falls with a crash and the man apologizes for putting them in danger.
?: (he scratched his head) Aw man, now I've done it again…
Buttercup: You sure did alright! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT ALL ABOUT!?
?: (he nervously laughed) Funny story actually. Sorry about that.
Bubbles: What happened?
?: Well, you see, I was out ploughing this field here when Goten came on by and brought me some lunch.
Blossom: Who?
?: Goten, my son. Anyway, I dug in and completely forgot I left the tractor's brakes off and I saw it coming towards you guys.
Bouquet: That's a pretty bad move, sir
Buttercup: I'll say! That thing could've mowed us down!
Blossom: Buttercup, it was just an accident.
Buttercup: Yeah. A really STUPID accident!
Butterfly looked at Buttercup sternly, then she turned to the tall man and nervously smiled.
?: (sighed) She's probably right. I really need to get my head together. OH! I haven't even introduced myself yet!
?: My name's Goku! And you are?
Blossom: I'm Blossom.
Bubbles: Bubbles!
Buttercup: Buttercup!
Butterfly: Butterfly!
Bouquet: And Bouquet!
Goku: Mmmmm, nice names! Although you did look kinda like the Ginyu Force back there.
Buttercup: (confused) Excuse me?
Goku: Er, never mind what I just said there! Actually, you guys look a bit more like Zenny.
Girls: (confused) Zenny?
Goku: WHOOPS! There I go again! (he nervously giggled)
Nearby, a tumbleweed blows past in the middle of this awkward moment between Goku and the Girls.
Buttercup: Weir-DO.
Suddenly, Butterfly's stomach growls very loudly and she blushes with embarrassment.
Butterfly: (embarrassed giggle)
Goku: Oh, you must be hungry, huh? Well, good thing I have some food left over before that whole tractor thing. You girls look like you need that stuff more than I do.
Butterfly: (she jumps with joy) Great! Thanks, Mr. Goku!
Butterfly dashes over to Goku's lunchboxes and the other Girls followed her.
Buttercup: Hey! Don't even think about hogging all of it! Leave some for me!
Bouquet: (sighed and shook her head) Buttercup sure hates to lose.
Bubbles: Yup.
Blossom: Tell me about it.
A few minutes later…
Butterfly: (her tummy full) Yum! De-LISH!
Buttercup: I'm so stuffed!
Bubbles: That was the best lunch I've ever eaten!
Bouquet: Me too!
Blossom: (she turned to Goku) I don't know how we can thank you, Mr. Goku.
Goku: No problem, but please, just call me Goku.
Blossom: Okay, M- er... Goku. (giggled)
Goku: Hey, I've been meaning to ask. Are you little girls lost or something?
Buttercup: (sighed) You don't know the half of it.
Butterfly: Yeah, that's right.
Bouquet: We've been walking across the mountains for...uh... Um... (she turned to Blossom) How long have we been walking?
Blossom: I'd say about... three hours?
Buttercup: More like four.
Goku: Wow! That must've been some pretty intense training.
Blossom: Hmmm... You could say it that way.
Buttercup: (sighed) It sure FEELS that way.
Goku: Well, how about I ride you into town, and see if there's anyone who can help you out?
Bubbles: That would be wonderful.
Goku: Well, you girls are lucky when you ran into me.
Goku takes a deep breath and calls out to the sky.
Goku: Flying Nimbus!
Girls: Flying Nimbus? (they looked up in the sky in confusion)
Buttercup: (confused) Who the heck is Nimbus?
Just then, Bouquet spots a yellow cloud flying above the sky.
Bouquet: Girls, check this out.
Blossom: A yellow cloud?
The cloud comes to a complete stop in front of the Girls.
Bubbles: WOW! It looks so soft and puffy!
Butterfly: Just like a pillow!
Bouquet: Maybe even cozier!
Buttercup: What kind of cloud IS this!?
Goku: This, Girls is Nimbus. Believe it or not, you can actually ride this thing and it goes CRAZY fast! But there is a catch.
Blossom: (she touches Nimbus) A catch? What?
Goku: You'll have to be pure of heart and mind to ride it.
Buttercup: (confused) Pure of heart? I still don't get it.
Goku: Well, you'll have to hop on to find out.
Everyone watches as Bubbles carefully gets on top of Nimbus, followed by Butterfly.
Bubbles: Hey! It works! (she started jumping on Nimbus) I'm actually riding a cloud!
Butterfly: And it's so soft and warm too!
Buttercup: Really? Let me give it a try.
Buttercup tries to get on Nimbus, but falls right through it.
Buttercup: (she falls through Nimbus) Uwa- OOF! (confused) Uh... What just happened?
Bouquet: You just fell right through it!
Buttercup: Hey! Wasn't it supposed to hold me? Did I do something wrong?
Goku: Dunno, but it must've been pretty bad.
Buttercup: Pretty bad!?
Blossom: He means you're not pure hearted.
Buttercup: WHAT!? THAT'S LUDICROUS! I'm just as good and heroic as you guys!
Blossom: Yeah, but still, you can be cocky and rude and reckless and er... a little bad-tempered.
Buttercup: (eye twitches) A little?
Goku: Hey, hey, it's alright. Maybe you'll have better luck next time.
Bouquet: (she stand besides Buttercup) Yeah, Buttercup. There's always next time. So, lighten up.
Buttercup: (she crosses her arms) Hmph. Easy for you.
Seeing that Buttercup can't ride on Nimbus, Goku offers her a ride on his back instead.
Goku: (he nervously chuckled, turned and bends down) Well, if you want, you can always ride on my back. Doesn't look like Nimbus will have enough room for me anyway.
Buttercup: (she turned to Goku, sighed) Fine…
Buttercup reluctantly climbs onto Goku's back, but doesn't find her new saddle to her liking at all.
Buttercup: Ugh, gross! Your back's like a damp ol' rock! So cold, hard and slimy! Shower much!?
Goku: (sheepishly) Oh, sorry about that. I've been training a little right before I started working.
While Buttercup complains about her saddle on Goku's back, Blossom and Bouquet successfully climbed aboard Nimbus.
Blossom: WOW! This is great!
Bouquet: Yeah! It's like a nice, comfy bed!
Buttercup: OH! So I'm the odd one out, huh!? Is that it!?
Butterfly: Hoo-boy. Somebody seems a little (snorts) green with envy!
Bubbles: (giggled) It actually kinda suits her!
Bouquet: Guess every barrel has its bad apples!
Girls (except Buttercup): (they bursted out laughing)
Goku: (he tries to contain his laughter)
Buttercup: (sarcastically) Oh, hardy har-har-har! Real funny. Let's just get this show on the road already.
Goku: (he recovered from laughing) Alright, girls, hang on tight.
Girls (except Buttercup): (nervously) Okay…
Goku: (to Nimbus) Go for it, Nimbus!
Nimbus takes to the skies at breakneck speed, leaving Buttercup and Goku far behind in an instant.
Girls (except Buttercup): WHOOOOOOOAAAAAA!
Buttercup: Wow, that's fast! Just how are we gonna keep up with that!?
Goku: (to Buttercup) You'd better hang on too.
Buttercup: (confused) Huh?
Goku immediately ascends a few feet into the air and prepares to follow Nimbus.
Buttercup: (shocked) Wh-WHAT!? You can fly!?
Goku: Of course I can. Got a problem with that?
Buttercup: (stunned) Uh... (thinking) So he can fly too, huh? Wow! So he's not alone then.
Goku: Okay, off we go!
Buttercup: Hey, wait!
Goku lets out a burst of light and takes off with Buttercup riding on his back as they start chasing after Nimbus.
Buttercup: UWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Not too far away from Buttercup and Goku, Blossom is having trouble keeping in balance on Nimbus with Bubbles, Butterfly and Bouquet holding on.
Butterfly: How do you drive this thing!?
Blossom: I don't know! I've never flown a yellow cloud before!
Bubbles: Me neither, but it's actually kinda fun!
Bouquet: I'll say!
Blossom slowly regains her balance and slowly but surely starts to enjoy the experience as well.
Blossom: You know, I'm starting to get the hang of this!
Butterfly: Me too!
Blossom: And you're right, Bubbles! This really IS exhilarating!
Bubbles: WHEEEEEEE!
Blossom, Bubbles, Butterfly and Bouquet started to really enjoy riding Nimbus, while Goku slowly gains on them.
Goku: HEY! There you all are!
The Girls looked behind and there was Goku with Buttercup on his back. They were stunned when they saw Goku flying.
Blossom: You can fly!?
Goku: Yep! It's the only WAY to fly!
Buttercup: (smugly) Got a problem with THAT!?
Blossom, Bubbles, Butterfly and Bouquet shook their heads for no.
Goku: So how's Nimbus?
Bubbles: It was a pretty rough start.
Butterfly: But we started getting the hang of it.
Bouquet: And it's turning out to be a BLAST!
Goku: That's great!
Blossom: You bet it is! It's like something out of a dream!
Butterfly: (she looked at Buttercup, smugly) Unlike someone's saddle, right?
Buttercup: Well, it maybe a little stinky, sticky and hard. But hey, it sure beats walking!
Goku: (thinking) I don't think I've seen anything like these kids before. Just who are they and where'd they come from?
As Goku is in deep thought about the Girls and where they came from, a gigantic city comes into view.
Blossom: Hey, guys! I can see a city right up ahead!
Bubbles: Really?
Butterfly: (she jumped with excitement) Oh! I wanna see! I wanna see!
Bouquet: It looks HUGE!
Goku: Oh! That's West City.
Buttercup: West City?
Goku: That's right! I know someone who lives there who may be able to help you!
Blossom: (she turned to Goku who's flying with Buttercup on his back) You do?
Goku: Yep! She's super smart and has invented all kinds of crazy stuff!
Bubbles: Wow! (she turned to Blossom, Butterfly and Bouquet) That sounds a lot like the Professor back home!
Butterfly: Hey! (she secretly brings out the orb) Maybe she can help us figure out what that orb is and what's it for! (she puts the orb away)
Blossom: Hey, Goku? Do you know where we can find her?
Goku: I can take you there! Just follow me!
Goku with Buttercup still on his back flies into the city and Blossom, Bubbles, Butterfly and Bouquet followed him on Nimbus.
