Chapter 6
The Fight at the Edge of the World
Zulfer is sitting on his throne while he watched the sight of Earth as the Black Puff Girls are besides him.
Zulfer: Look at that pathetic mudball, my children. What a miserable eyesore of a world.
Blossom Black: Indeed it is.
Buttercup Black: Yeah. Very disgusting.
Butterfly Black: Yeah. This place was the pits!
Bubbles Black: Hard to believe we suffered so much on this dump.
Bouquet Black: But not as much as out imposters will soon...
Bubbles Black: And did you see those…
Zulfer: SILENCE!
Black Puff Girls: (they jumped with fright)
Zulfer: Never mind about that wretched cesspool for now. If we are going to set up shop on this one, it would have to be somewhere on the surface, far too inhospitable for the inhabitants to even THINK of following us.
Blossom Black: Um... With all due respect, master, the whole planet looks too inviting for our taste. Where are we going to find such a place on this dirtball?
Zulfer: Hmm... A reasonable question. Commander?
Commander Bassalt came into the throne room right after Zulfer calls to him.
Bassalt: Yes, master?
Zulfer: Have you made a full analysis of the surface yet?
Bassalt: I have, sir. Most of the planet is riddled with thriving cities, mountainous regions and-
Zulfer: NEVER MIND ALL OF THAT! Now tell me... Are there any locations on the planet that are too inhospitable for the weaker inhabitants?
Bassalt: (nervously) Er... Th-There is one, master.
Zulfer: Yes? And where is that?
Bassalt: The inhabitants call it the Yunzabit Highlands, master. The living conditions there include periodic storms, gale force winds and freezing temperatures.
Black Puff Girls: (fascinated) Ooooooh.
Butterfly Black: Now that's my kind of place.
Buttercup Black: Me too.
Zulfer: Mmmm, perfect! Now, what are the coordinates of this... Yunzabit?
Bassalt pulls up a holographic world map and points to Yunzabit's location at the edge of the map.
Bassalt: Right here, master.
Zulfer: Very well. Prepare the fortress for atmospheric entry at exact coordinates!
Bassalt: Yes, my lord!
Bassalt returns to the command deck, while Zulfer starts feeling excited about moving into Goku's turf.
Zulfer: We're moving in, children. How exciting is that?
Blossom Black: Very!
Bubbles Black: I can't wait to tear this planet apart!
Buttercup Black: And as for those fakers…
Butterfly Black: We're gonna make them wish they never EVER existed!
Bouquet Black: This is gonna be fun…
Zulfer: Indeed it is. (chuckled evilly)
Black Puff Girls: (giggled evilly)
Brimstrom started descending through the Earth's atmosphere and catches fire in the process.
Back on the Lookout, Dende and Mr. Popo caught sight of a giant flaming object coming down from the sky. Jaco overheard this and started to panic.
Dende: He's here! Zulfer's fortress is heading this way!
Jaco: WHAT!? (he looks up at the incoming fortress) Oh, no, no, no, no! NOT YET!
The space cop rushes to the entrance to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and bangs the door frantically but there's no answer.
Jaco: Goku! Everybody! He's here! Zulfer is here! (no answer) C'mon, you guys! Open up, I tell ya! OPEN UP! Don't leave me to face that creep on my own!
Mr. Popo: Please calm down, space man. I'm sure they'll be done with their three months training soon.
Jaco: Well, they'd better be quick in there! That Zulfer creep's right at our doorstep!
They suddenly heard a loud clunk from the Time Chamber door as the handle turns and the door itself opens with a dazzling light gleaming from inside.
Jaco: Whoa! That's insane! It must be like an oven in there!
Goku: (off camera) And look what's coming out!
Goku, the Z-Fighters and the Girls walked out of the chamber after three months of training, leaving Jaco breathless in awe.
Dende: You're out!
Mr. Popo: So how did your training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber go?
Blossom: It went great, Mr. Popo.
Buttercup: Yeah! I'm feeling way stronger already!
Butterfly: (she looped around and around) Whee-hee-hee! And so much lighter too!
Bubbles: We really enjoyed sparring with these guys.
Bouquet: It sure was nice getting to know them.
Dende: Glad to hear it, Girls. And your timing couldn't be anymore perfect.
Butterfly: What do you mean?
Jaco: It's Zulfer! He's here!
Girls: WHAT!? (they looked up and saw Zulfer's fortress, Brimstrom)
Buttercup: What the heck is that!?
Bubbles: (nervously giggled) Let me guess... His fortress thingy?
Krillin: (terrified) IT'S GIGANTIC!
Butterfly: (terrified) And creepy…
Chiaotzu lets out a terrified whimper and clings to Tien in fear.
Tien: Gotta hand it to that guy, he's definitely giving Frieza a run for his Zeni.
They all continued watching Brimstrom's atmospheric entry until it disappears over the horizon and Goku asks where Zulfer has landed.
Bouquet: (worriedly) Oh my…
Blossom: That thing just went over the horizon!
Goku: (he turned to Dende) Dende, where did he go?
Dende started concentrating on where the fortress has landed and is surprised to find it perched over the most unlikely of places.
Dende: (gasped in shock)
Goku: What is it, Dende?
Dende: If I'm not mistaken, Goku, he's perched over the Yunzabit Highlands!
Piccolo/Mr. Popo: (gasped)
Tien: Yunzabit?
Gohan: Hold on... Isn't that where Bulma found Kami's old spaceship before we went to Planet Namek?
Piccolo: Of all the places for him to set up camp... It had to be there!
Butterfly: (she flew in front of Piccolo) Wait a minute. Where ARE these Yunzabit Highlands? I don't even know this place.
Bubbles: Me neither.
Dende: It's a desolate and frigid landscape at the edge of the world, where a Nameless Namekian landed long ago. He spent most of his childhood there before moving up here, to the Lookout and splitting into two opposite versions of himself.
Bouquet: Split in two?
Blossom: You mean like... mitosis?
Dende: Well... (he scratches his head) You... could call it that. One half became my predecessor, Kami and the other became the malevolent King Piccolo.
Buttercup: You mean you're talking about... (she pointed at Piccolo with her finger) ...this Piccolo here!?
Piccolo: Let's not talk about ancient history, okay!? We've got to act fast!
Buttercup: That still doesn't answer my question! You never told me you were a bad guy! I should've known about this the moment you beat me up!
Piccolo: For your information, Buttercup, King Piccolo was my previous incarnation! I'm a completely different Piccolo, alright!?
Butterfly: And another thing, Gohan mentioned all that stuff before, remember?
Buttercup: Oh. Right. I totally forgot.
Gohan: He's right though. We need to act now or who knows how much damage that Zulfer will do.
Goku: Right.
The Z-Fighters and the Girls took off from the Lookout and followed the fortress into the horizon.
Goku: Wish us luck, Dende! We're heading out now! (he powered himself up and takes off)
Mr. Popo: Come back in one peace!
Dende: And be careful!
Jaco started to have doubts about the upcoming battle as he watches the Girls and the Z-Fighters flying after the Brimstrom.
Jaco: Oh, those guys are really in for it this time…
As the Girls and the Z-Fighters leave the Lookout far behind…
Buttercup: Hey! How long until we get to this Yunza-whatsit place?
Piccolo: (disgruntled grumble)
Gohan: I think you mean 'Yunzabit', Buttercup. and at our current airspeed, I'd say we'll be there in about... fourteen hours from now.
Buttercup: WHAT!? THAT LONG!?
Bubbles: Then what was the point of leaving right now in the first place?
Bouquet: Yeah, I'm confused already.
Blossom: Even if we DO make it over there, it may already be too late!
Goku: Then we're just gonna have to floor it!
Butterfly: (confused) Huh? Floor it?
Goku: Let's see if all that training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber will help speed things up a little.
Blossom: Only one way to find out.
Goku: Alright, here we go, guys…
The Girls and the Z-Fighters all powered up and started flying at an even greater speed than before.
Meanwhile high over Yunzabit, Zulfer walked outside of Brimstrom as he gets a view of the desolate landscape of the highlands.
Zulfer: (he looks around Yunzabit Highlands) Mmm-hmmm... (chuckled) These doldrums are perfect. Just perfect. None of the feebles on this planet would be brave or foolish enough to follow us here.
The Black Puff Girls exited the fortress behind Zulfer and appreciates his sense of a perfect locale.
Buttercup Black: You said it, master. This is the life!
Bubbles Black: Yeah. The life for us, the pits for them.
Blossom Black: Now that we're here, master, how are we going to track this Goku down?
Zulfer: Surely, he would have seen our entry into this planet's atmosphere. He will most likely come to us, but just to be certain... (he calls out to a female soldier in his Legion) Lieutenant Granite!
Granite: Master!?
Zulfer: Dispatch a scouting battalion to search every corner of this mudball for any trace of Goku or his friends. Also, have them attack any innocent settlements in their path if necessary.
Granite: At once, my lord! Will do! (she turned to the troopers) Troops!
Granite's scout troopers took the heed.
Granite: You heard what your lord and master said! Spread out and search for Goku!
Troopers: YES, MA'AM!
The scout troopers took off in all directions and flew all over the planet as Zulfer watches with a malevolent grin on his face.
Zulfer: (chuckled) And now, the real hunt begins...
Elsewhere, the Girls and the Z-Fighters are still flying at hypersonic speed towards Yunzabit until Bubbles heard screaming from a village far below.
Bubbles: (she stopped in midair) Wait! Did you hear that?
The other Girls and the Z-Fighters stopped in midair as well.
Tien: Bubbles, we don't have time for this!
Butterfly: Hang on... I can hear it too.
Blossom: It kinda sounds like... people being under attack!
Trunks: (he tries to listen) That's weird. I don't hear anything.
Goten: Me niether.
Piccolo: But I can, and it's coming from down there!
Piccolo pointed to the village that's under fire from Zulfer's troopers.
Bubbles: (horrified) Not again!
Buttercup: Man, who are these guys!?
Piccolo: They're certainly not from around here, and they don't look like Frieza's flunkies either. My guess is that they're Zulfer's.
Krillin: (he trembles in anger) Whoever they are, they're bad news!
Blossom: We've got to fly down there and help those people!
Piccolo: Even if we did, we'll just be wasting time!
Buttercup: Then we'll take 'em on while you guys go on ahead!
Butterfly: Buttercup! Don't you remember what the Professor said!? Those are average people down there!
Buttercup: (annoyingly growled) Again with that 'no powers' baloney!?
Bubbles: Butterfly's right, Buttercup! Even if we do use our powers to help them, they'll probably...you know what I'm talking about.
Buttercup: (groaned) Dang it…
Bouquet: Then what are we gonna do!?
Frustrated by the Girls' confusion, Goku flies down to the village below, much to the shock of the others.
Girls: Goku!
Gohan: What are you doing, Dad!?
Goku: You guys go on without me! I'll catch up with you later!
Piccolo: Better do what he says. We've lost enough time already.
Krillin: GO GIVE 'EM TROUBLE, GOKU!
The rest of the Z-Fighters and the Girls continued flying to Yunzabit Highlands as Goku descends into the burning village.
In the chaos, the townspeople have been rounded up at gunpoint and the troopers interrogates them on the whereabouts of their champion.
Woman #1: (scared) Please, we don't know anything...
Trooper #1: Do NOT play games with us, insubordinates! All we ask is the whereabouts of your champion and we just might consider sparing this world.
Man #1: (scared) Ch-Champion? Y-You mean Hercule?
Trooper #1: Hercule?
Man #1: (he shows a picture of Hercule) Yeah! He's the number one martial-arts champion of the world, and he's not afraid to tangle with…
Trooper #1: (he growled angrily and blasts the picture with his gun)
Man #1: EEEP!
Trooper #1: NO MORE GAMES, YOU IMBECILES! We've come to this universe for the Saiyan warrior, Goku! Now, WHERE! IS! HE!?
Goku: Right HERE!
Goku jumped in from out of nowhere and knocks the lead trooper down.
Trooper #1: AAARGH! (he gets sent flying into the rubble)
Trooper #2: There he is! Get him!
Goku: (he turned to the townspeople) GO! Get outta here!
The townspeople take Goku's advice as they make a run for it. The troopers start firing their weapons at Goku, but he turns Super Saiyan and effectively dodges the lasers with ease.
Goku: Nice weapons you got there, but your aim's way off.
The troopers convert their blasters to melee weapons as they charged at Goku, but he easily dispatches them up with his punches and kicks. Overwhelmed by his strength, they all fell to the pavement as Goku wonders why Zulfer would send his men to attack innocent villages.
Goku: Who does that Zulfer think he is!? Attacking innocent people just to get to me!?
He is completely unaware that one of the troopers has gone into hiding. Goku is just about to rejoin the others until he hears a child's cry for help and rushes over to his whereabouts.
?: Aaaaah! Mommy, HELP!
Goku: Aww, now what!? (he rushes over to the child's crying)
The child turns out to be a young boy trapped in the burning house, which is in danger of collapsing.
Boy: HELP!
Goku: Hold on, kid! I've got you!
Goku breaks into the burning house in the attempt to get the boy to safety. He finds the boy crouching in the corner and tries reaching out to him.
Goku: Come on! Take my hand!
The boy is frozen with fear, but he soon musters the courage to take Goku's hand.
Goku: That's it. Now let's get you out of here. (he wrapped his arms around the boy)
Goku takes the boy out of the house just in time before it falls to the ground.
Goku: Man, that was close. (to the boy) You okay, kid?
Boy: (he nodded his head) Uh-huh... (he sobbed as he held on tight to Goku) I was...so scared...
Goku: Hey, it's okay. You're gonna be alright.
Boy: (sobbed) B-But those monsters…
Goku clenches his left fist in anger, infuriated that Zulfer's troops have threatened many innocent people, just to lure him out of hiding.
Goku: He'll pay for this…
Goku looked up to the sky while holding a frightened boy in his arms, hoping to find a way to put a stop to Zulfer's invasion on Earth. Just then, the boy's mother came running towards them.
Mother: (gasped) Lio!
Lio: (he reached out his arms to his mother) Mommy!
Goku lets Lio down and allows him to reunite with his mother, then he tells them to find a safe place to hide.
Goku: Now, you two get going and find someplace safe. I'm gonna make sure those monsters don't come back.
Mother: Thank you. Come on, Lio.
Goku: (he talks to himself) I've got to catch up with the others, and fast! (he takes off)
Lio and his mother scurried to safety as Goku takes off from the village, completely oblivious to the surviving scout reporting his findings to Lieutenant Granite.
Surviving Trooper: (calling through his communicator) Lieutenant Granite, ma'am! Come in! Do you read me?
Meanwhile back on Yunzabit Highlands, Zulfer is seen pacing restlessly as he waits impatiently for reports from the troopers.
Zulfer: (growled) Grrrr! What's keeping those scouts!? Surely, they would've found our quarry by now. (he calls to Granite) LIEUTENANT!?
Granite: (scared) Y-Yes, master!?
Zulfer: Where are your troops!? They should've reported in right about now!
Granite: (nervously) I-I-I'm not sure.
Zulfer: You very well assured me that you trained those scout troopers to search every nook and cranny of an entire planet without delay!
Granite: I know, sir! Unless... (her communicator begins beeping)
Zulfer: About time.
Granite: (she answered her communicator) Report!
Surviving Trooper: (through Granite's communicator) I've spotted Goku! He's mowed down my whole battalion and now, he's en route to your location!
Granite: How long until he gets here?
Surviving Trooper: (through Granite's communicator) According to his current air speed, he should be arriving in about one hour from now.
Zulfer started speaking into Granite's wrist communicator and the trooper starts quivering in fear.
Zulfer: Well, judging by your exact coordinates, trooper, he must be in a hurry to meet his doom.
Surviving Trooper: (through Granite's communicator) Er... there's something else, master.
Zulfer: Yes? What is it?
Surviving Trooper: (through Granite's communicator) I've just gotten word from another battalion that his friends are closing in on Yunzabit! They should be arriving in about five minutes from now!
Zulfer: Then order all battalions to withdraw immediately!
Survived Trooper: (through Granite's communicator, scared) Y-Yes, my lord!
The transmission ends and Zulfer started making preperations for the arrival of the Z-Fighters and the Girls.
Zulfer: Well, Granite, it appears your troops weren't so useless after all.
Granite: They didn't expect how strong Goku is, sir.
Zulfer: Regardless, I have upmost faith in you, my dear lieutenant, and I would HATE to see it misplaced!
Granite: (nervously) Y-Y-Yes, master…
Zulfer: Now, go notify Commander Mavrich and his men! We're about to have company...
Elsewhere, the Girls and the Z-Fighters continue closing in on Yunzabit until Brimstrom comes into view.
Butterfly: Look! There's that creepy fortress thingy straight ahead!
Bubbles: No kidding... Just looking at it gives me the willies!
Bouquet: And it's sitting right on top of those mountains!
Krillin: (terrified) Man! I forgot how HUMONGOUS that thing is!
Tien: And it doesn't look any prettier close up!
Gohan: No doubt those guys will be armed to the teeth. We'll have to land somewhere they won't see us!
Buttercup: Yeah, but where?
Piccolo: Down there, in those trenches!
The Girls and the Z-Fighters landed at the entrance to the trenches. While Butterfly and Bouquet shivered from Yunzabit's freezing conditions, Blossom peeks from behind, and feels an eerie chill coming from deep inside.
Butterfly: (shivering) Brrr... I'm fr-fr-freezing my s-s-s-stripes off up here!
Bouquet: (shivering) M-M-Me too…
Piccolo: It's too late now to go back for some thermals. If we're going to avoid detection from those monsters, we'll have to keep our power levels down.
Blossom: Better stay frosty, everyone. They look ideal for an ambush.
Bubbles: (gulped)
Buttercup: (shivering) Y-Yeah r-r-right... Like I'm not fr-fr-fr-frozen to the b-b-bone already.
Our heroes walked carefully into the trenches with their guard up, anticipating a surprise attack around every crevice. They started feeling more and more uneasy the deeper they go, combined with their shrinking distance to the fortress towering high over them.
Bouquet: (concerned) Um... Guys? I'm not so sure about this…
Krillin: (concerned) I kinda see what you mean. You'd think they would've gotten the jump on us by now.
Gohan: It's almost like they're trying to exploit our unease to psyche us out.
Buttercup: Well, one thing's for sure. This place is really giving me the CREEPS!
Goten: I'm scared, Trunks…
Trunks: I hate to say it, Goten, but...so am I.
Bubbles: I don't like this place, Blossom…
Blossom: I know how you feel, Bubbles. I don't like it either. But we have to put our heads together for what's coming next.
The Girls and the Z-Fighters soon reached the bottom of a very steep cliff and started climbing it.
Buttercup: A dead end? Well, can't say we didn't give it a try. (she noticed the others scaling it) Huh?
Piccolo: (he looks down to Buttercup) You coming or what?
Buttercup: H-Hey! Wait for me! (she climbs after the others)
Once they reach the top of the cliff, they come to an open area of the highlands where Piccolo started seeing a transparent image of Kami's old spaceship. The image fades and Piccolo's memories of his time on Yunzabit come flooding back.
Butterfly: Uhh... Piccolo? Are you okay?
Piccolo: (trembling) It's... gone…
Bouquet: (she looked around and saw nothing) What's gone? I don't see anything.
Gohan: Wait... You don't think…
Krillin: That old spaceship once stood right here, right?
Piccolo: Yes. But now, it's not here anymore.
Piccolo looked around and starts having recollections of his childhood.
Blossom: Piccolo, what is it that you're talking about that isn't here?
Piccolo: It was something I used to call my home. It was big, spherical and had four legs at the bottom. It somehow resembled a spaceship, but back then, I suffered from amnesia, so I wasn't sure.
Blossom: Oh.
Piccolo: Yeah. As far back as I can remember, I spent most of my childhood in Yunzabit, waiting for my family.
Butterfly: Wow. That must've been pretty rough.
Bubbles: It kinda makes me feel sorry for you...
Gohan: Then many years after you left, Bulma found that old spaceship and she, Krillin and I went to Planet Namek in it.
Buttercup: Namek?
Piccolo: (he turned to Buttercup) My home planet.
Just then Piccolo detects something suspicious nearby and tries to sense it out.
Buttercup: (she turned to Gohan) Um... What's he doing?
Gohan: He is sensing someone's energy nearby. Can you feel it?
Bubbles: I-I can feel it too. Not just one person but a whole bunch of them.
Butterfly: Me too. Wow, I didn't know I could do that.
Piccolo: (quietly) Shhh!
Butterfly covered her mouth right after Piccolo shushed at her. An eerie silence falls as Piccolo concentrates harder on sensing the nearby energy, then he hears crumbling rocks and approaching footseps nearby.
Piccolo: IT'S AN AMBUSH!
Zulfer's troops got the jump on them from above, but the Girls and the Z-Fighters jumped out of the way before getting blown up.
Blossom: Talk about your element of surprise!
Krillin: Oh, NOW they attack us!
Trunks: Alright! Time for some action!
Goten: Ready when you are, Trunks!
Trunks: It's fusing time!
Goten/Trunks: (they performed the Fusion Dance) Fuuu-sion... HA!
The boys go up in a burst of light and fused into Gotenks.
Gotenks: TA-DAAAAA! Let's rumble!
Piccolo: Alright, everyone! Let's give them pain! (he and the Z-Fighters flew towards the troopers)
While the Z-Fighters are occupied with half the attacking troopers, the Girls are left to deal with the other half, much to Krillin's concern.
Krillin: (he fights some soldiers, concerned) Um... You sure the Girls can handle these thugs on their own!?
Buttercup: Don't worry, Krillin! We know how to handle these guys!
Piccolo: (smirked) You heard her, Krillin! They'll be just fine on their own!
Krillin: I hope you're right!
The Legion surrounded the Girls with cruel grins on their faces as they try to figure out a plan of attack.
Buttercup: (she turned to Blossom, whispering) So what's the plan, boss!?
Blossom: We'd better split up, Girls! We can swiftly deplete their numbers if we take 'em on individually!
Bubbles: Good plan, Blossom.
Bouquet: I'm all for it!
Butterfly: Well, we'd better pull it off fast!
Buttercup: I'll take these guys on the left!
Butterfly: I've got the right!
Bubbles: I call tops!
Bouquet: Guess I'm stuck with everything below then!
Blossom: Okay, LET'S GO!
The Girls and the Z-Fighters engaged Zulfer's Legion in an earth-shaking fistfight. With every trooper the heroes knock down, new and more powerful soldiers show up, but they hold their ground valiantly.
Tien: Man! These guys sure don't know when to let up!
Chiaotzu: They just won't stop coming!
Gotenks: Then I'll just give them a little scare with my ghosts!
Gotenks blew out ghosts of himself from his mouth and they all looked down at the Legion soldiers, chuckling.
Troopers: (confused) Huh?
Gotenks: Go get 'em, boys!
The ghosts charged the troopers and exploded on contact.
Ghosts: (they charged the troopers, childish cackling)
Troopers: (they cling onto each other, screamed) AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Ghosts: (they exploded after touching the troopers)
Gotenks: OOOOOOH! That's gotta smart!
Tien: Nice one, Gotenks!
Chiaotzu: (giggled) You really got 'em!
Gotenks: (he gave Tien and Chiaotzu a thumbs up) Anytime, fellas! (he looked over to where the Girls are fighting) Wonder how the Girls are doing?
The Girls are engaging half the attack force with enhanced versions of their original powers.
Buttercup: Yo! Soldier boy! You like getting COOKED!?
Trooper #7: (he turned to Buttercup) Huh?
Buttercup rubbed her hands together and they bursted into flames.
Buttercup: Here! Have some fire! (she throws a fireball at the trooper)
Trooper #7: (he got hit by Buttercup's fireball) ARGH!
Buttercup: Not hot enough for ya? How about some of my punches!?
Buttercup swooped down on the Legion with a devastating barrage of punches.
Buttercup: There! How'd you like THAT!? (she blew on her fists)
Troopers: (groaned in pain)
Bubbles is surrounded by some of the troopers from the Legion.
Trooper #8: (snickered) You're ours now, you filthy little shrimp!
Blossom: Hang on, Bubbles!
Butterfly: We're coming!
Butterfly uses her telekinesis to immobilize the troopers and Blossom uses her ice breath to freeze them solid.
Bubbles: Thanks, Girls!
This gives Bubbles an opportunity to let out a supersonic scream, then the troopers' icy prison breaks apart and they collapsed to the ground.
Troopers: (groaned and collapsed)
Butterfly: Well, look at that. We've just made here. Some evil alien shaved ice! (laughed)
Bubbles: (giggled)
Elsewhere, Bouquet pretends to be helpless as a battalion of troopers chases her around.
Bouquet: Oh no! They're all over me!
Troopers: (they chased Bouquet, laughed cruelly)

Trooper #9: We got her now!
Bouquet: NOT! (she transformed into a lioness) I HURT YOU! GROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRR!
Trooper #9: Am I seeing things...? Did she just transform into a wild animal!?
Trooper #10: Wild or not, she's still an enemy! Show her no mercy, men!
Bouquet pounced the troopers and sends them flying into the cliff face.
Trooper #10: Okay! Disregard my previous statement! HEAD FOR THE HILLS!
Bubbles: They're getting away!
Butterfly: Not if I can help it!
Butterfly uses her telekinesis to lift the escaping soldiers, and compresses them into a ball.
Troopers: (they get compressed, groaning)
Butterfly: INVADERS, QUARTER POCKET!
Butterfly shoots the bad guys off the edge of a cliff, where they hit the ground with a loud bang.
Gotenks: (he watches the bad guys go over the edge) Going... going... (he saw them hit the bottom) GONE! (smugly) I taught her that!
Bouquet: (she ran up to Butterfly) Nice shot, Butterfly. (she reverts back to her normal self)
Butterfly: (confidently) It's all in the ol' coconut.
Buttercup: Y'know, laying it on these mugs almost too easy.
Right after Buttercup said that, even MORE troopers appeared and our heroes are greatly outnumbered.
Blossom: (sighed) You just HAD to jinx it, didn't you?
Buttercup: Me and my big mouth…
Bubbles: What are we gonna do now?
Blossom: (she turned to the other Girls) Girls, remember we've unlocked those new Ki powers. We can use them to beat them.
So the Girls stand their ground while the Legion closes in on them.
Trooper Leader: CHARGE!
Troopers: (they charged the Girls, roaring)
Blossom: (determined) Alright... Let's see what these new powers can do!
Bubbles: Here goes nothing! DODON RAY BARRAGE!
Bubbles shoots a barrage of blue lasers from her fingers and blasts several troopers with them.
Troopers: (they got blasted by Bubbles' Dodon Ray Barrage) AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Bouquet: Whoa! Nice shooting, Bubbles!
Bubbles: Thanks, Bouquet!
Blossom: Don't get too comfortable, Girls! There's still a lot more where those came from!
Buttercup: Alright! Let me give this one a shot! I already did the Kamehameha Wave, so let's see if I can do Piccolo's technique!
Buttercup takes aim at a titan trooper and fires Piccolo's signature move.
Buttercup: SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!
Titan Trooper: (agonized) GYAAAAAAARRRRGH!
Butterfly: YIKES! That really had to sting!
Bouquet: There's more coming!
Blossom: We've got this! Masenko...
Butterfly: Tri-Beam…
Blossom/Butterfly: HAAAAAA!
Blossom and Butterfly's combined attack creates a huge chasm, where the troopers fell in.
Buttercup: (chuckled) Happy landings!
Butterfly: Is that all you've got, you thugs!?
Another titan trooper charged at the Girls with a gigantic club in his hands.
Bubbles: Look out!
Buttercup: Uh-oh... That is one big stick…
Bouquet: (she forms a disc of turquoise energy in her hand) Not for long it's not! SPIRIT DESTRUCTO DISC ATTACK!
Bouquet throws the disc at the Titan Trooper, but misses on purpose.
Titan Trooper: HA! You missed!
Bouquet just grinned smugly and controls the disc as it flies right back to the titan trooper and slices up his club.
Titan Trooper: (he looked at his club that is cut in half, stunned) Uh oh…
Bouquet: How's that for a comeback, big boy!?
Bouquet gives the titan trooper a little tap on the nose, which pushes him into the chasm.
Titan Trooper: (he loses his balance) Wh-Wh-Wh-Whoa! (he fell into the chasm) WHOOOOOAAAAAA!
Blossom: Wow! These new powers are incredible!
Buttercup: Tell me about it! Did you see how we mowed down those losers!?
Bubbles: (she looks up and gasps) There's MORE of them!
Bouquet: Awww! They just don't know when to quit!
Butterfly: Hope the others are having as much fun as we are.
Meanwhile, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo and the others continued to chew through the Legion's numbers, despite their attacks growing in intensity.
Krillin: Man! This is tense!
Piccolo: They must be pretty determined to keep this up!
Gohan: We just have to hold out a little while longer!
Krillin: Yeah, but for how much longer!? It's like every time we beat a whole bunch of them, some more, even stronger ones show!
Tien: There has to be another way to take them all down at once!
Piccolo: Well, right now, we just have to keep fighting! Surely, they can't keep this up forever!
Meanwhile, the Girls are still holding their ground, but are starting to grow exhausted from the Legion's relentless assault.
Butterfly: (panting) How long... will this... keep up…?
Blossom: (panting) I don't know... but we've got to keep fighting…!
Blossom suddenly gets jumped on and pummeled by more troopers, which horrifies and angers Bubbles.
Bubbles: (horrified) BLOSSOM! (angrily) How dare you...? (she turned into hardcore) YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!
Bubbles explodes with a familiar purple aura and the other Girls were stunned by this scene.
Buttercup: (stunned) Whoa, Bubbles…
Everyone in Yunzabit watches as Bubbles ascends into the air, ready to unleash an attack that the Z-Fighters didn't teach her.
Gotenks: (gasped) That's...
Piccolo: (shocked) That power...
Krillin: Hang on... Isn't that Vegeta's...?
Chiaotzu: No... It couldn't be…
Tien: It's Vegeta's Galick Gun!
Gohan: This is not going to end well... WE'VE GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE!
The other Girls and the Z-Fighters get ready to clear the battlefield as Bubbles is about to use Vegeta's signature move.
Bubbles: GALICK GUUUUUUUUN!
Piccolo only just realizes that his childhood home is in the line of fire and tries to stop Bubbles, but it was too late.
Piccolo: No, Bubbles! WAIT!
Bubbles fires her Galick Gun as the Z-Warriors and other Girls scattered in all directions. Blossom also sees the blast coming and bursts out of the mob as it crashes into the battlefield.
Troopers: (terrified screaming)
A part of Yunzabit goes up in a tremendous mushroom cloud explosion as Zulfer watches from high above in the fortress.
Zulfer: (surprised) What manner of sorcery is this…?
Bassalt: They just demolished a whole area of Yunzabit!
Zulfer: Indeed. They're much more troublesome than I gave them credit for.
Mavrich: Um... My lord? Requesting permission to send out the elites.
Zulfer: No, Mavrich. That won't be necessary.
Mavrich: It won't?
Zulfer: No, but do summon them, just in case.
Mavrich: Sir!
As the dust settles back down below, the trenches have been reduced to rubble by Bubbles' attack, much to Piccolo's horror.
Bubbles: WHO ELSE WANTS SOME!?
Piccolo: (horrified) Bubbles, are you insane!? Look at what you've done!
Buttercup: You've totally trashed the whole place!
Gotenks: But at least she blew away those baddies. (he notices the others looking at him funny) Hey, don't look at me! I didn't teach her that!
Krillin: Earth to Gotenks! Piccolo spent most of his childhood here, remember?
Gotenks: Oh, yeah. My bad…
Piccolo: Eh... No big deal. I pretty much spent my time here waiting for nothing anyway.
After calming back down, Bubbles rushes to Blossom's aid.
Bubbles: Blossom, are you okay?
Blossom: I'll be fine, Bubbles, but did you have to-
Suddenly, a booming voice commends the heroes from above.
?: Very impressive, warriors of Townsville and the 7th!
The Girls and the Z-Fighters looked up at the sky.
Bubbles: (gasped) Look!
Zulfer along with the Black Puff Girls, his generals and a garrison of elite troopers descends from the fortress to greet the heroes.
Krillin: (nervously) Guess the big one in the middle's the big boss, huh?
Buttercup: (nervously) No kidding! I'm getting some serious HIM vibes from that guy!
Butterfly: (she quivered in extreme terror) Creepy crawlie…
Piccolo: I take it, you're Zulfer. Isn't that right?
Zulfer: Correct. My name is indeed Zulfer of Brimstrom, undefeated mortal overlord of the 8th, collector of the strongest warriors in existence manipulator of your deepest, darkest nightmares!
Buttercup: Wow... And I thought Lenny Baxter had a life.
Zulfer: (roared) SILENCE!
Butterfly: (nervously) I... don't like the way he talks…
Zulfer: (he cleared his throat) Ahe-he-hem! And in case you doubt my power, I singlehandedly bested the mighty Jiren in battle and added him to my collection as well!
Gohan: We've heard the news, Zulfer!
Krillin: Yeah! That was a really big shock!
Tien: Just what did you do with Jiren!?
Chiaotzu: Yeah!
Zulfer: (chuckled cruelly) I'm not telling you anything! (whispered) It's a surprise...!
Bubbles: (disappointed) Awwww!
Gotenks: (disappointed) I really wanted to know too!
Zulfer: But if you're really that desperate to know, perhaps I might have enough courtesy... to show you!
Just then, the surviving trooper makes it to Yunzabit from the burning village just in time.
Surviving Trooper: (exhausted, calling) I'M HERE, LORD ZULFER!
Zulfer: Ah! Impeccable timing!
Surviving Trooper: (exhausted panting) Please... forgive me... master... I did my best…
Zulfer: Your best is of NO consequence at all! You allowed the Saiyan Goku to best your battalion in battle, and for that, you must be PUNISHED!
Surviving Trooper: (nervously) I'M SORRY, MY LORD!
Zulfer: (he calmed down) However... you may still be of some use to me.
Surviving Trooper: Wh-What are your orders, sir?
Zulfer: I want you to show my victory over Jiren to our esteemed guests to prove to them that it's no bluff. Now, DO IT!
Surviving Trooper: (fearfully) Y-Y-Yes... At once.
The trooper presses a few buttons on his left glove that brings up a holographic screen depicting a battle between Zulfer and Jiren.
In the video, Jiren is seen putting up a valiant fight against Zulfer, but eventually, the latter proves too strong and tricky for even him.
Zulfer: (in the video, mockingly) Giving in to exhaustion already? Whatever happened to the mighty Jiren!?
Jiren: (in the video, panting) I would...never give in...just yet... I'm still not giving up the 11th Universe without a fight!
Zulfer: (in the video) But what of its people? Have you ever even considered accounting for them!?
Jiren: (in the video, enraged) Th-That's enough! You leave them... (he powered up) ...OUT OF THIS!
Jiren attacks Zulfer again and fights harder than before, but then gets overpowered and thrown to the ground, much to the horror of the viewers.
Girls/Z-Fighters: (gasped in shocked)
Zulfer: (in the video, smugly) So... you still want to defend them to the last, don't you? (he guts Jiren)
Jiren: (in the video, agonized) AAARRGH!
Zulfer: (in the video, smugly) Even though you were completely outmatched from the beginning?
Jiren looked up to Zulfer with anger and hatred until he collapsed from exhaustion.
Zulfer: (in the video) Hmph! Didn't think so. (to the viewers, triumphant) Message received and understood, Universe 11! You have no chances!
The video ends and the heroes are greatly horrified over Zulfer triumphing over Jiren.
Bouquet: (concerned) Poor Jiren…
Gohan: (shocked) Jaco was right…
Butterfly: (disturbed) That's gotta be the worst movie I've ever seen! That was HORRIFYING!
Krillin: (disturbed) You're telling me…
Tien: (frustratedly) ARGH! This is NUTS! There's no way we can beat this guy! He bested Jiren like he was nothing!
Chiaotzu: (concerned) This is bad…
Zulfer: (grinned cruelly) And I assume you are wondering what happened to poor, poor Jiren next! (he turned to the surviving trooper, angrily) Well, since this miserable excuse for a trooper has failed and embarrassed me, perhaps I'll consider making an example... of HIM!
The displeased Zulfer raises his right hand to the surviving trooper and draws a set of long, bladed claws from his fingertips.
Surviving Trooper: (terrorized) AAAAAH! Please have mercy on me, my lord! I beg your forgiveness!
Zulfer: NO! You will never be forgiven for your inexcusable failure, but do not grieve. You served your master... (he gets ready to strike) ...most admirably.
Surviving Trooper: (begging) Please...! Anything but that…!
Despite the trooper's plea for mercy, Zulfer strikes with a small poke of his claws and the poor trooper slowly and painfully turns to stone before everyone's eyes.
Surviving Trooper: (turns to stone) AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH...!
Bouquet: (stunned) Did... Did you see THAT!?
Gotenks: (stunned) Dude... That is SERIOUSLY messed up!
Blossom: (horrified) He just... turned his own trooper to stone!
Gohan: (horrified) Just like Dabura!
Zulfer: (laughed evilly) Yes! And after I defeated Jiren and his Pride Troopers, I did the same to him!
Piccolo: (shocked) WHAT!?
Zulfer: (laughed maniacally) Six of the other lesser universes have also dared to oppose me, but they didn't prove as much of a challenge as the 11th, as I defeated their champions in battle and claimed possession of them, one by one! I have cast them into a never-ending nightmare and petrified their bodies, thus turning their despair into a work... of art!
Piccolo: (horrified) That's insane!
Zulfer: Indeed, they are all of great value to me as such. (he looks at the petrified trooper) And anything less than worth the trouble... (he fires a blast at the trooper that turns him to dust)
Girls/Z-Fighters: (they jumped with fright)
Butterfly: (screamed in horror) AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!
Our heroes are greatly mortified over Zulfer vaporizing his own trooper after turning him to stone.
Blossom: (horrified) Th... That was horrible!
Bubbles: (horrified) I don't like that monster at all!
Buttercup: I'm with you, Bubbles. What a jerk!
Butterfly: That bug man's really mean!
Bouquet: And scary too!
Zulfer: (laughed evilly) Now you all know the full extent of my power! And of course, what will happen to you if you don't cooperate!
Our heroes stared at Zulfer with hateful looks in their eyes.
Zulfer: And that is why I have come to this universe, to do the same to your champion, Goku. He was the only other mortal in existence to stand up to Jiren in battle. Now WHERE IS HE!?
Piccolo: (angrily) Well, if you think we're just give him to you all gift wrapped, then that's your bad luck! He's already got his hands full dealing with your flunkies elsewhere!
Blossom: Besides, even if we tell you where Goku is, you'll never get your slimy hands on him!
Bubbles: That's right! Not a single touch!
Zulfer: (snarled) Why do I even bother asking for his whereabouts anyway? (smirked) I'll simply have him come to me instead.
Buttercup: And just how are you gonna do that?
Zulfer: (he turned to the Black Puff Girls) Children?
Black Puff Girls: (they flew in front of Zulfer) Yes, master?
Zulfer: Go forth and show your goodie two shoes doublegangers who is the superior team.
Blossom Black: With pleasure.
The Black Puff Girls turned to the Powerpuff Girls and challenged them to another battle in Yunzabit.
Blossom Black: Hey, fakers! Remember us?
Blossom: (she glared at the Black Puff Girls) You.
Bubbles Black: (snickered) Yeah. It's us.
Buttercup Black: And we're here to finish things from last time.
Butterfly Black: Only this time, you're REALLY gonna get it!
Bouquet Black: And then we'll see who the real fakers are!
The Z-Fighters looked between the Powerpuff Girls and the Black Puff Girls, they were stunned when they saw the two teams are exactly alike to each other.
Chiaotzu: Uh-oh... I'm seeing double here...
Gotenks: Who the heck are THESE Girls!?
Krillin: They look just like ours! I'm starting to have a hard time telling them apart myself! It's like they're looking at each other in the mirror!
Piccolo: But there's one big difference. The other Girls are dressed in black.
Gohan: Yeah, but look at their eyes. They are filled with hatred.
Tien: Guess Jaco was right about them too!
Silence falls over Yunzabit as both teams stared each other off in suspense, ready for round two.
Buttercup Black: Time for round two, huh?
Buttercup: Anytime, fakers!
Butterfly Black: It'd better be more interesting than last time!
Butterfly: Just watch us! We've got some amazing new powers that you haven't seen yet!
Bubbles Black: (mockingly) Oooooh, I'm shaking in my shoes! (snickered) This I gotta see!
Bubbles: You don't scare us! We won't let you have it your way!
Bouquet Black: Well, you're no fun.
Bouquet: Same to you!
Blossom Black: (angrily growled) Enough talking! Let's just get this over with!
Blossom: Music to my ears! Get ready, Girls!
Girls (except Blossom): Right!
Elsewhere, Goku is seen flying above the clouds on the heroes' path to the Yunzabit Highlands. He started feeling dramatic shifts in power over there and becomes concerned that his friends are in great risk already.
Goku: Whoa! I can feel tremendous shifts in power up ahead! Looks like the battle's already started without me! Better use Instant Transmission and get over there fast!
Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport to Yunzabit, then hides from Zulfer's Legion amongst the crags to observe the impending battle without being seen.
Goku: (he spotted the Girls staring down at their dark counterparts, the Black Puff Girls in midair, stunned) Man…
Blossom: LET'S GET 'EM, GIRLS!
Blossom Black: NO MERCY!
The two teams engaged in a blistering fistfight that tears the crags around them apart. The Z-Fighters watched from below and are blown away by the intensity of the battle between the two teams.
Piccolo: Look at them! They're all letting out so much power! It's astounding!
Gohan: I'll say! I don't think the Yunzabit Highlands are going to be around for much longer. We'd better get out of here!
Chiaotzu: (concerned) But what about the Girls?
Gotenks: Yeah! They may need some backup! We have to help them!
Piccolo: No! This is their fight! We cannot interfere!
Gohan: Piccolo's right. The only thing you'll do is get in the way.
Left with little choice, the Z-Fighters flew to a safer location of Yunzabit as the Girls kept on fighting the Black Puff Girls.
Blossom Black: Hey, you've gotten a lot stronger since before!
Buttercup Black: Just don't let it go right to your HEADS! (she butts Buttercup with her head)
Buttercup: OOOOF!
Bubbles: HEY! That's foul! I called it!
Bubbles Black: Who cares!? (she kicked Bubbles)
Butterfly: Where do you guys come off serving that creep!?
Butterfly Black: DUH! Because we're his emissaries of doom!?
Bouquet: But why!?
Bouquet Black: (smirked) Why not!?
Blossom: (panting) No... Why are you doing this?
Blossom Black: Because of those useless humans. They took everything away from us.
Bubbles: What…?
Buttercup: What is she talking about…?
Buttercup Black: That's for us to know and you to GET BENT!
The Black Puff Girls attacked the Powerpuff Girls once again.
Butterfly: Okay! Get a load of this! (she gets powered up as an orange aura started to surround her)
Butterfly Black: (mockingly) Ooooh, scary!
Blossom: That's great, Butterfly! (she turned to the Black Puff Girls) Let's show them the fruits of our training! (she powered up as the pink aura started to surround her)
The other Girls started powering up as well and the Highlands started to tremor wildly. The Black Puff Girls are surprised by how much power they are mustering. Once they are finished powering up, the Girls scattered in all directions, delivering a devastating barrage of energy attacks.
Blossom: MASENKO!
Butterfly: TRI BEAM!
Bubbles: GALICK GUUUUN!
Buttercup: SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!
Bouquet: DODON RAY... BARRAGE!
The Black Puff Girls tried to contain the Powerpuff Girls' combined attack, but get forced back by its sheer magnitude.
Buttercup Black: (strained) Man! These phonies are a LOT stronger than they used to be!
Bouquet Black: Where did they get so much power?
The Black Puff Girls managed to push the attack upwards as it explodes overhead.
Bubbles Black: (sighed) That was too close…
Bouquet takes the Black Puff Girls by surprise.
Bouquet: How about this!? SCREAMING BANSHEE ATTACK!
Bouquet launches a barrage of turquoise rings that envelopes the Black Puff Girls and trapped them in a ball.
Bouquet: (she turned to Butterfly) Hey, Butterfly! Here we go!
Butterfly: (eagerly) WAHOOO!
Gotenks: (watches, excited) Aw, yeah! You show 'em, Girls!
The two Girls started spiking the ball around like a volleyball and shooting it into a cliff face. After the cliff collapsed onto the ball, it bursts open and the Black Puff Girls emerged from the rubble, feeling very enraged.
Blossom Black: (enraged) We're not giving up that easily!
Bubbles Black: (enraged) Although, gotta hand it to you, losers... You've definitely improved since last we fought!
Buttercup Black: (enraged) But it still won't be enough and YOU... ARE... HISTORY!
Butterfly Black/Bouquet Black: (enraged) YEAH!
Buttercup: Oh, YEAH!? Well, you ain't seen nothing yet!
Buttercup assumes her battle stance and fires multiple Ki Blasts at the Black Puff Girls, but they dodged every last one, successfully.
Bubbles Black: You missed us!
Buttercup Black: Yeah! Nice aim, moron! (snickered)
Buttercup: (smirked) That's the idea.
Just then, the Black Puff Girls realized they are surrounded by Buttercup's Ki attacks with no way out.
Butterfly Black: (confused) WHAT!?
Bouquet Black: We're trapped!
Buttercup: Gotcha now! HA!
Buttercup commands the Ki blasts to rain down on the Black Puff Girls and they get blasted from all directions, while Blossom Black somehow manages to escape just in time.
Blossom Black: (devastated) MY SISTERS!
Blossom: Nice one, Buttercup! That REALLY had to hurt!
Blossom Black: (growled and teleports behind Blossom) And so does THIS!
Blossom Black uses a technique that freezes Blossom in time. The Z-Fighters immediately recognized that technique and they are horrified.
Krillin: (horrified) AH! Th-That can't be…!
Gohan: (horrified) Th... That move!
Gotenks: Wait... Isn't that…?
Piccolo: (shocked) AH! It is! There's no mistaking it... That's Hit's Time Skip technique!
Z-Fighters (except Piccolo): (gasped in shock)
Tien: But that's impossible!
Chiaotzu: How can she use that move?
Blossom Black kept Blossom frozen in place and starts pummeling her relentlessly.
Girls (except Blossom): BLOSSOM!
Blossom: (agonized) AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHH!
Butterfly: Nobody messes with my sisters! (she flies ahead to help Blossom)
Butterfly Black: (she catches up) Oh, no you don't!
Butterfly Black jumped out of the crater and throws mystic talismans to create illusory clones of herself and confuse Butterfly, then creates feather like blades to knock her down.
Butterfly Black/Clones: (echoing) It's talon time! GRAND EAGLE!
Gohan: (stunned) I recognize those moves from the Tournament of Power!
Krillin: Me too. But, how'd they learn to pull them off!?
While the Girls have their hands tied, an angered Bubbles Black and Buttercup Black jumped out of the crater where they fell in and stand on one of the crags.
Bubbles Black: (angrily) Make fools out of us, will they!?
Buttercup Black: Let's show 'em, sis! (she blew out clouds of green smoke onto her hands)
Buttercup Black jumped down from the cliffs, throwing some acidic punches.
Buttercup Black: Get a whiff of this! (she started punching relentlessly) Acid, acid, acid, ACID!
Bubbles Black: Hey! Leave some for me! (she started spinning horizontally at rapid speed, wreathes herself in blue flame and flies down) VIXENLY DRIIIIIIIIIIL!
Bouquet: (she looks up at Bubbles Black and Buttercup Black) HEADS UP!
The Girls dodged the attacks from Bubbles Black and Buttercup Black, when Piccolo finally makes sense of why the Black Puff Girls possessed the abilities of warriors from the Tournament of Power.
Piccolo: (gasped) That's it! Now I know what's happening!
Gohan: What is it, Mr. Piccolo!?
Piccolo: Remember when the Girls learned to master our abilities in no time flat?
Tien: What are you saying!?
Krillin: (horrified) Wait... Don't tell me…
Bubbles Black: (she wildly throws electrified punches) Yaaaa-cha-cha-cha-cha-CHAAA!
Buttercup Black: SHINING BLASTER ATTACK! (she launches two green energy balls from her feet)
Butterfly Black: (chuckled and throws some energy talismans that turn into fireballs)
Bouquet Black: (she creates energy feints and attacks Bouqet)
Blossom Black: Hmph. (she uses Time Skip to vanish)
Piccolo: Somehow, those Black Puff Girls must've done the same with the warriors that Zulfer defeated!
Gohan/Krillin: (shocked) What!?
Zulfer: (chuckled evilly) Precisely! Well deuced, Piccolo! For every champion I have in my possession, I figured their remarkable powers would simply go to waste, so I had my Children of Doom duplicate them and use them in my name!
Chiaotzu: (angrily) That's so cruel!
Gotenks: Yeah! Not to mention totally unfair!
Krillin: (he clenched his fist) We've gotta help them somehow!
Gohan: You might be right, Krillin! Our Girls look like they're out of their league!
Just as Piccolo and the rest of the Z-Fighters flew to help the Girls fight against the Black Puff Girls, the remaining troopers from Zulfer's Legion blocked their path.
Mavrich: ELITE TROOPERS! Don't let those fighters anywhere near the children!
Piccolo: GAH! Looks like we'll have to deal with them first!
The Z-Fighters engaged the elite troopers in battle and the Girls continued struggling against their dark counterparts, while Goku watches helplessly from his hiding place.
Goku: (he clenches his fists, whispering to himself) I've got to do something! But what!? I can't risk showing myself to that creep!
Buttercup: Man, these guys aren't cutting us any slack at all!
Butterfly: We've got to keep fighting!
Bouquet: But for how much longer CAN we take?
Bubbles: Doesn't look like we can!
Blossom: Where do those powers even COME from?
Blossom Black appeared behind Blossom and kicks her aside.
Blossom: (she's being kicked by Blossom Black) AAAAHHH!
Blossom Black: Do the math why don't ya!? With every champion our master beats, we have learned all their tricks and become stronger too! It's hapless, Patsey-puff Girls! You're fighting a losing battle!
Blossom: Well, we're not gonna give up that easily! We have yet to show you some moves of our own!
Blossom Black: Oooh, this I gotta see!
Blossom: Let's give those dark dopplegangers some much needed Razzle Dazzle! (she turned to the other Girls) Are you with me, Girls?
Girls (except Blossom): YEAH!
The Girls regrouped and prepared to unleash their ultimate Razzle Dazzle attack.
Butterfly: This is gonna be great!
Bouquet: You sure it's gonna work though?
Buttercup: Eh... Worth a shot.
Bubbles: Let's Sassafras those fakers!
The Girls joined hands and launched their strongest attack at the Black Puff Girls.
Girls: (cheerfully) RAZZLE DAZZLE!
The Girls took off in a flurry of light and charged the Black Puff Girls, which are left speechless. The Black Puff Girls tried desperately to escape, but the light from the Powerpuff Girls' attack envelops and electrocutes them, one by one.
Black Puff Girls: (electrocuted) ARRRRGGGHHHH!
The petals of light started bashing them against the cliffs of Yunzabit as everyone watches. The Razzle Dazzle attack spits the Black Puff Girls back out and the Girls are left disoriented and dizzy.
Bouquet: (disoriented) Th... That was a rush.
Buttercup: (disoriented) Did...we get them…?
Bubbles: (disoriented) Can't tell... I'm so dizzy…
Blossom: (disoriented) Me too... But...at least we got them good…
Butterfly: (panting) Finally... Flawless victory... (she collapses in disorientation)
Mavrich and the elite troopers are shocked after witnessing the Girls' final attack.
Mavrich: (shocked) No!
Krillin: (relieved) Alright! Looks like our Girls came through after all!
The Black Puff Girls are on their knees, all battered and bruised from the Girls' Razzle Dazzle attack.
Bouquet Black: (panting)
Butterfly Black: These scums are REALLY getting on my last nerve…
Buttercup Black: Now what do we do, Blossom Black?
Bubbles Black: Yeah! How are we gonna beat these losers?
Blossom Black: (she looks back at her sisters and nodded menacingly)
Black Puff Girls (except Blossom Black): (chuckled wickedly)
Blossom: (panting) Give up... imposters…
Bubbles: You may hit us with all those fancy tricks…
Buttercup: But you can't beat the real deal!
Butterfly: That's right!
Bouquet: Cause we're the REAL Powerpuff Girls!
Blossom Black: (she growls, then grinned wickedly) Or are you…?
The Black Puff Girls pressed their palms down on the ground and send a pulse of malevolent blood-red energy through it.
Buttercup: Now what are they up to?
Blossom: I'm not sure, but I don't like the looks of it…
Suddenly, the Girls found themselves surrounded by this crimson light and their feet get shackled by thorny tendrils of dark energy.
Bubbles: What's going on!?
Butterfly: My feet! They're chained to the ground!
Bouquet: I can't get loose!
Buttercup: Neither can I!
Blossom: (she turned to the Black Puff Girls) What is this power!?
Blossom Black: It shackles the just, the innocent and the WORTHLESS!
Bouquet Black: The more you struggle…
Buttercup Black: The tighter it gets…
Butterfly Black: And the more it hurts!
Bubbles Black: (depraved giggled) You're SO doomed now!
Black Puff Girls: THIS IS OUR BIG RANCOR! A PRISON OF ABSOLUTE HATE!
The Girls screamed helplessly as they get dragged high into the air and they got trapped in a giant, ominous heart shaped bubble of dark energy.
Buttercup: Hey, no fair!
Blossom tries to punch the bubble of energy to make it pop, but it doesn't have any effect on it.
Blossom: No good! I can't break through!
Bouquet: This is bad, isn't it...?
Bubbles: We're trapped!
The bubble surges with black and red lightning and the Girls got zapped.
Girls: (they are getting zapped) AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Blossom Black: Didn't you hear what we just said!? You're not just fakers, you are MORONS!
Goku is left mortified and helpless as he witnesses the Girls getting trapped inside the Big Rancor as it zaps them.
Goku: GIRLS!
The Z-Fighters attempted to stop the Black Puff Girls but are again stopped by Mavrich and his elite troopers.
Gohan: This is bad! Our Girls are fading fast! We have got to save them!
Mavrich: No! Your fight's with us, insurgents of the 7th!
Krillin: Hey you! Get outta our way!
The Black Puff Girls flew up and started plotting their final attack.
Bouquet Black: (chuckled wickedly) Look at them. All teed up in our concentrated hate!
Buttercup Black: You girls thinking what I'm thinking?
Butterfly Black: Oh yeah! (chuckled)
Bubbles Black: You've got no idea how long I've wanted to do this to them!
Blossom Black: We ALL have. NOW LET'S DROP THE FINAL CURTAIN ON THOSE WORMS!
Black Puff Girls (except Blossom Black): (they started an immense build up of energy) YEAH!
The Black Puff Girls all started glowing in burning auras of their respective colors. Their powers increase creates powerful blasts of wind that tears right through Yunzabit. Goku and the Z-Warriors immediately recognized those auras and realized what warrior harnessed such power.
Gotenks: (horrified gasped) WHAT POWER!
Piccolo: Wait! We've seen that kind of power before!
Gohan: (he turned to Piccolo) Mr. Piccolo…?
Piccolo: It's Jiren's!
Z-Fighters (except Piccolo): WHAT!?
After building up their energy, the Black Puff Girls fly into an X formation and prepare to launch a devastating finishing attack.
Blossom Black: Nighty-night, imposters... GRAND CROSS...
Black Puff Girls: ...JUDGMENT... BUSTEEEEERRRRRR!
The Black Puff Girls fired their Ki and focused it into a gigantic blast that lights up the Big Rancor and overpowers the Girls trapped inside.
Girls: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
The Big Rancor begins to swell to gargantuan size, indicating that it is about to explode and take all of Yunzabit with it.
Mavrich: Wha-... Are they insane!? They're pouring too much energy into the Big Rancor! At this rate... It will reach critical mass and TAKE THIS WHOLE PLACE WITH IT!
Zulfer: HURRY! MOVE THE FORTRESS AWAY FROM YUNZABIT IMMEDIATELY!
Zulfer and his followers scurried back into Brimstrom, then the fortress itself ascends high into the air.
Chiaotzu: (concerned) Whatever 'critical mass' means, it doesn't sound good…
Krillin: It means... (panicked) ...LET'S GET OUTTA HERE!
The Z-Fighters cleared the battlefield as well and Goku heads for nearby cover as the Big Rancor reaches its breaking point and goes up in a gargantuan explosion that can be seen from Earth's orbit, taking most of Yunzabit with it.
By the time the blast settles, Yunzabit has been reduced to a massive smoldering crater, leaving Piccolo shocked and mortified.
Piccolo: (frantically) Gasp! Yunzabit! Y-YUNZABIT! THERE'S NOTHING LEFT!
Krillin: Forget Yunzabit! What about our Girls!?
Gotenks unfused back into Goten and Trunks as they started looking for the Girls from above.
Goten: Yeah! I don't see them!
Trunks: Me neither!
While the Z-Fighters are confused, the Black Puff Girls flew into the crater as the dust settles and started searching for what remains of the Powerpuff Girls.
Buttercup Black: Gee. Wonder if those bogus ballerinas survived that?
Blossom Black: Good question. We'd better search this whole crater for their remains, just to be certain.
Black Puff Girls (except Blossom Black): Right! (they flew inside to search for the Powerpuff Girls)
Goten: (worriedly) This is bad... Nobody could've survived that blast…
Gohan: No. I can still sense their energy. It's very faint though.
Krillin: Huh? They're still alive?
Gohan: I don't know. It's hard to say.
Piccolo: We've got to look for them. I bet Goku's probably more concerned than we are, wherever he is.
In his hiding place, Goku is trembling with anger over what the Black Puff Girls just did to the Girls.
Goku: (enraged) Those little... MONSTERS!
Goku then looks up at Zulfer as he and his followers flew back down from the fortress and becomes even more angry.
Goku: (enraged) Who does that horrible parasite think he is!?
The Black Puff Girls kept searching the crater until they found their good counterparts, who are lying unconscious in a smoldering heap.
Buttercup Black: (chuckled evilly) See? What'd we tell ya?
Butterfly Black: Boy, do they look pathetic.
Bouquet Black: They never stood a chance.
Bubbles Black: Who are the imposters NOW!?
Blossom Black: Black Puff Girls, two, Poser-puff Girls, zippo. (she turned to the troopers) They're all yours, boys!
The troopers nodded their heads as they picked up Bubbles, Buttercup, Butterfly and Bouquet from the ground.
Zulfer: (depraved chuckled) Congratulations, my children! (he clapped his hands) Well done! You have all proven yourselves worthy of my favor!
Black Puff Girls: (they proudly bowed down to Zulfer) Thank you, master.
Gohan looks down on the crater and noticed the Legion has scraped the Girls from the rubble.
Gohan: (gasped) You guys! Look!
Goten: No way! Those evil Girls have beaten our Girls!
Trunks: And they're kidnapping them too!
Chiaotzu: They're looking really bad…
From his hiding spot, Goku sees Blossom lying unconscious in the rubble below and thinks of a risky move to save her.
Goku: (he looks down at Blossom who's under the rubble, thinking) If I can just save at least one of the Girls... I'll have to risk it!
Trooper #1: Alright, boys! There's just one girl left! Let's scoop that redhead up and complete the whole set!
Hearing this, Goku turns Super Saiyan and jumped out of hiding to save Blossom.
Goku: NO! YOU LEAVE HER ALONE! (he turns Super Saiyan)
Goku leaped from his hiding place and does battle with the elite troopers to save Blossom, only to get noticed by Zulfer from above.
Zulfer: (he noticed Goku) Wha!? There he is! It's Goku! CAPTURE HIM!
Following Zulfer's command, the elite troopers blocked Goku's path to Blossom.
Trooper #1: No farther!
The Z-Fighters saw the troopers blocking Goku's path and find it unfair.
Trunks: HEY, NO FAIR!
Goku punches them out of his path, but more started blocking him.
Goku: Darn it! Do these guys ever give up!?
Zulfer: Immobilize him, you fools! Don't let him anywhere near the last girl!
Trooper #2: We're on it, master!
The remaining troopers attacked Goku, but got blocked by Piccolo and Gohan.
Gohan: Don't even try it!
Piccolo: You'll have to go through us first!
Gohan: (he turned to Goku) Now's your chance, Dad! Take Blossom and get outta here! We'll hold them off for you!
Goku: (nodded) Right! Thanks, Gohan! (he flew to Blossom who's still under the rubble) Blossom! (he started to remove the rocks to get Blossom out)
After he finally reaches Blossom, Zulfer sends the Black Puff Girls after him.
Zulfer: CHILDREN! STOP HIM! RIGHT NOW!
Blossom Black: You heard the master! Let's get him!
Krillin noticed the Black Puff Girls are heading towards to Goku.
Krillin: Goku! LOOK OUT!
Goku looked up and saw the Black Puff Girls coming down on him, but before they could make contact, Goku grabbed Blossom and uses Instant Transmission to teleport to another location.
Blossom Black: What the...? Where'd he go!?
Butterfly Black: He's gone!
Bubbles Black: Not a trace!
Buttercup Black: (she turned to the Z-Fighters) Alright, you mugs! What was that little chicken move that Goku just pulled, huh!?
Bouquet Black: Yeah! Where is he!?
Piccolo: (smirked) He just used Instant Transmission to get as far away from you crooks as possible. He could be anywhere in the whole 7th Universe by now.
Blossom Black: (she clenches her fists in anger) Darn it! We were so close!
Zulfer is greatly frustrated and upset over the Black Puff Girls failing to capture Goku for him. He becomes so angry that he lets out a surge of unholy dark energy and makes the ground tremor violently with a deafening roar.
Blossom Black: (terrified) Oh no... The master sounds mighty upset…
Zulfer: (enraged roared) GRRR! WORTHLESS, MISERABLE, INCOMPETENT WHELPLINGS! YOU LET GOKU SLIP THROUGH YOUR FINGERS! I AM VERY, VERY DISPLEASED!
Black Puff Girls/Troopers: (terrified) FORGIVE US, MASTER!
Zulfer responds by shooting bolts of red lightning from his fingertips and giving the Black Puff Girls and his troopers an agonizing electric shock. The Z-Fighters are mortified after witnessing this.
Black Puff Girls/Troopers: (they get zapped) AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHH!
Zulfer: NO! NEVER!
Trunks: (stunned) I didn't see that coming.
Goten: (stunned) Talk about being harsh…
Krillin: (horrified) What kind of monster... does that to his own followers!? And to... CHILDREN!?
Tien: (angered) That scumbag!
Zulfer: (he stopped zapping the Black Puff Girls and his troopers) Perhaps I was being too hasty to think you miserable insects were of some value to me! Now, you're of no value at all!
Blossom Black: (distraughtly) Y...Yes, master... We're worthless garbage…
Witnessing Zulfer's horrific cruelty towards the Black Puff Girls infuriates the Z-Fighters.
Zulfer: (he calmed down) No matter. If Goku will not face his destiny like a true champion, then I will just have to at least have some form of compensation for his cowardice! (he turned to his prison warden) Dulcera, have your men take the other four Girls to the dungeon! And while you're at it... (he pointed to the Z-Fighters) ...imprison them too!
Z-Fighters: (gasped)
Dulcera: Yes, my lord.
The Legion holds all of the Z-Fighters at gunpoint. Some of the Z-Fighters tried to resist but end up getting zapped, immobilized and shackled.
Dulcera: Don't bother trying to resist, insurgents! There are more elites where these come from and any further attempts to resist will result in all your heads getting blown clean off!
Gohan: (groaned) You won't...get away with this... (he starts feeling weak) AARGH!
Krillin: (straining) I-I-I feel all funny…
Piccolo: (straining) Why do I feel so weak all of a sudden...?
Dulcera: (smirked) Of course you do! Those shackles are designed to neutralize all your strength and power! Once you're all chained up, you'll be rendered as weak and powerless as a baby, and you'll never break free!
Trunks: That can't be good…
Goten: I don't wanna have my powers stolen from me!
With all of his power sapped away, Gohan tells the boys to get as far away from Brimstrom as possible, much to their anxiety.
Gohan: Goten, Trunks, get out of here now!
Trunks: Wh-WHAT!?
Goten: (tearfully) But I don't wanna leave you, Gohan!
Gohan: JUST GO!
Goten and Trunks looked at each other in concern.
Dulcera: (she turned to her men) Don't let them escape!
Dulcera's men flew towards the boys with shackles, ready to chain them up as well. This makes Goten and Trunks jump with fright and flew straight out of Yunzabit.
Goten/Trunks: UAAAAAGH!
With Goten and Trunks flying out of Yunzabit, Dulcera kicks herself for failing Zulfer.
Dulcera: (frustrated) AAARRGH! Now our plans for the 7th will be compromised!
Zulfer: Forget about them! Those snot-nosed brats will be merely an inconvenience! If you want to redeem yourself, my prison warden, take these filthy vermin straight to the dungeon AT ONCE!
Dulcera: (bowed) Yes, my lord.
Zulfer: Oh, but before you do that, (he smirked and looks at Piccolo) the Namekian might be of some use to me…
Piccolo showed an expression of terror as he fathoms what Zulfer will do with him.
Meanwhile back at Capsule Corp, as dark, stormy clouds swirling overhead, Goku reappears after using Instant Transmission, carrying an injured and comatose Blossom in his arms. Suddenly, he hears a telepathic call from Piccolo.
Piccolo: (telepathically) Goku? Can you hear me?
Goku: (telepathically) Piccolo? What's going on?
Piccolo: (telepathically) It's not looking good. We've been captured by that monster and-
Suddenly, Goku heard a loud screeching noise and Piccolo letting out agonized screams.
Piccolo: (telepathically, agonized) Ahh... AAAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!
Goku: (telepathically) Piccolo? Piccolo!
Goku started hearing Zulfer's voice instead, as the villain invades Piccolo's mind to talk with Goku telepathically.
Zulfer: (telepathically, chuckles) Goku? Can you hear... ME?
Goku: (telepathically, sternly) Let me guess, you're Zulfer right?
Zulfer: (telepathically) Yes. That's right, and I'm currently invading your friend, Piccolo's telepathic link to communicate with you... and to give you my ultimatum!
Goku: (telepathically, angered) Where are my friends!? What have you done to them!?
Zulfer: (telepathically) Nothing... yet. Rest assured that they're being transferred to my dungeon as we speak. And so are the other Powerpuff Girls.
Goku: (angrily growled)
Zulfer: (telepathically) Of course, I have absolutely no interest in keeping them around, nor adding them to my collection at all, so I will gladly set them free, but on one condition.
Goku: (telepathically, enraged) And what's that!? WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?
Zulfer: (telepathically) Only that you surrender yourself to me and we settle things in a battle for the 7th Universe. If you lose, you and your universe will be MINE!
Goku: (angrily growled once again)
Zulfer: (telepathically) And don't even think of going back on my challenge! If you do, I will BLOW this pathetic planet out of the stars! And as for your friends and the other Girls, their bodies will rot in my fortress forever... (mockingly) How sad... (depraved chuckle) Soooo sad... (depraved cackle) You have until sundown to make your answer!
Goku: (enraged, primal scream) ZULFEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRR!
Unable to contain his rage, Goku turns Super Saiyan Blue and releases a gigantic burst of energy. Powerful blasts of wind tears right through West City, tearing trees from their roots and sweeping parked cars off the road.
After Goku calms down from his primal scream, a greatly upset Bulma comes fuming out of the Capsule Corp building to find out what's going on.
Bulma: (upset) WILL YOU KEEP IT DOWN, GOKU!? I'M TRYING TO- (she notices an injured Blossom in Goku's arms and becomes shocked) Gasp! What happened to her!?
Goku: Bulma, we've got to get her inside now. She's barely holding on.
Bulma: No kidding. She looks like she's just come out of a hundred megaton blast. I'll go and prepare the medical quarters right away.
As Bulma went back inside Capsule Corp, Goku looked down at Blossom who's still unconscious.
Goku: Hang in there, Blossom.
Goku then follows Bulma into the building and they both try to nurse Blossom back to health, as heavy rain started pouring from above.
