The Hero

Miss Magillicuddy

Chapter 3

Eddie woke up a while later, feeling the press of lips against his face and cracked an eye open blearily to see Chrissy hovering over him pressing kiss after kiss onto his face. He smiled up at her toothily before she leant back in to press another kiss to his lips.

"I could get used to waking up like that," he told her after their lips had pulled apart again, "did you have a good nap?"

"I did," she confirmed before cuddling back into his side and lifting her hand to toy with his hair that was hanging down over his shoulders. "both times I've slept with you, I've gotten great sleep. You're like a dream catcher, keeping away the scary dreams and darkest thoughts."

"I'm glad to hear that and same for me. You're a really comfy teddy bear to snuggle," he responded, leaning his head down to press a kiss to the top of her head. "Are you getting hungry? It's got to be nearing dinner time by this point."

"I could definitely eat," she answered, looking up to peer into his handsome face. "Did you ever get the chance to go to the store, or did we need to make a grocery run?"

"Grocery run is probably a good idea," Eddie replied, running his fingers through her hair while looking into her eyes. "I think I probably have some cereal left, but not much else at this point."

"That's fine," she said, linking her fingers through his and smiling as he lifted their joined hands and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. "I need to pick up a couple of things, anyway. In my haste to leave my house I didn't grab my toothbrush, or any of my makeup. I'm going to need some if I want to try hiding this bruise at school tomorrow."

"I'm sorry she hurt you," He whispered, as he lifted his other hand and lightly caressed her face, sadness filtering through his soulful, brown eyes. "Maybe before we go to the store we should drop by the police department and report her."

"That's probably a good idea," she agreed, shifting awkwardly, "it will probably help in the long run, but can we snuggle for a few more minutes?"

"Definitely," Eddie instantly agreed, smiling down at her. It felt like there was a magnet pulling him to her in that moment, and the two eagerly leaned forward to press their lips together again. He tilted his head to the right and started to deepen the kiss, running his tongue across her bottom lip, which eagerly parted to allow his tongue into her mouth for the first time. He felt her give a light gasp and a low moan as their tongues started to twist together. He let go of her hand to slide it down her waist to rest upon her hip as they continued kissing. He didn't know how long they laid on that chair before he heard a throat clearing.

The two of them sprang apart, instantly blushing red as their eyes shifted guiltily to where Wayne was standing in the open doorway of the trailer holding a tackle box and fishing pole, giving them a knowing look with a slight smirk on his face.

"Uncle Wayne, what are you doing home so early," Eddie asked with his eyes still wide from being caught kissing a girl in the recliner.

"I'm on vacation this week, remember? I told you she liked you," he teased, as he pulled off the hat he was wearing and hung it from a hook by the front door. Eddie felt himself turn even redder as he looked at his uncle in horror. Way to play it cool. Wayne looked back at Chrissy before adding, "do your parents know you're here? I would have thought you'd have been grounded."

"You and Eddie talked about whether or not I liked him," She asked, looking to Eddie, who started blushing again at her comment. "I could have told you that I did."

"W-well," Eddie stammered at her teasing gaze, "I didn't want to scare you away."

"You couldn't scare me away," She told him, and almost leaned back in to kiss him before remembering that they now had an audience.

"You didn't answer my other question," Wayne interrupted their staring, bringing the attention back to himself. "Do your parents know you're here?"

"Define know," Chrissy said, shifting uncomfortably before continuing her sentence, "My mom saw me take off with him, if that's what you mean… but she doesn't know where you live, so in that sense she doesn't know where I am."

"and why were you running off from home," He asked gruffly, finally noticing the stuffed duffle bag laying beside the chair the two of them were reclining in.

"Her mom hit her, Uncle Wayne," Eddie stated, anger coloring his voice. "She called me crying and asked me to come get her, so I did. Her mom caught up to us right as we were leaving."

"Why did you come here, instead of the police station," he asked, giving them a stern look, "that should have been your first stop."

"Honestly, we didn't think about that until a few minutes ago," Chrissy told him, moving her hand down to twine her fingers together with Eddie's. "that was actually going to be our next stop. I swear."

"Then you best get going before it gets too late in the day," Wayne said, gesturing the two of them towards the door.

The two of them quickly excused themselves and headed for Eddie's van and started heading downtown. With Eddie's driving it was a quick drive before they pulled into a spot outside of the station. Chrissy released a sigh before getting out of the car and walking into the police station hand in hand with Eddie. She approached the woman at the front desk and gently cleared her throat to catch the woman's attention. When the lady's eyes met hers, she cleared her throat again before speaking.

"I wanted to file a police report," Chrissy mumbled quietly, "against my mother."

"Fill out this paperwork, and I'll get someone to come out and talk to you," Flo said, as she headed back towards Chief Hopper's office.

Within a few minutes she was back in Hopper's office, clinging to Eddie's hand's for support as she went back through the whole ordeal. She started talking and everything came pouring out about how her mother had always been very mentally abusive and how she would starve her and make her purge after meals. Then she went on to tell him about how today was the first time her mom had physically struck her. She showed him the bruises on her arms, and he looked contemplatively at the bruises darkened upon her face. Eventually he pulled out a polaroid camera and started snapping shots of the bruises at different angles that he could place with her actual report.

Thirty minutes into the interrogation, a woman stepped into the room, informing them that she was a social worker that was their to help with the case. Hopper had quickly gotten the woman up to date, and the two of them started discussing finding a foster home that the girl could stay in.

"I don't know if I can find anything this short notice tonight, but by tomorrow I should have somewhere that you can stay," Amanda told her sadly, "Is there anywhere you can stay tonight that you will be safe?"

"She can stay with me," Eddie said, squeezing tightly to her hand, "she can stay as long as she needs to."

"I don't know that that would be appropriate," Hopper said, staring pointedly at their clasped hands. "I've been in your trailer and know that it is only a two bedroom place. She needs her own bed, as much as I'm sure she'd love to room with her boyfriend."

"One night will be fine," Amanda said, "but I'm going to look for something more permanent for tomorrow and after, okay?"

"Okay," She grumbled, "though I'd rather stay with Eddie."

"I'm sure you would," she smiled kindly, "I remember not wanting to be separated from my boyfriend when I was your age. How about I meet you tomorrow after you get off school, and I can take you to whichever family is able to take you in?"

"Okay," Chrissy agreed. With that agreement, the meeting with her, Eddie, the Chief and the social worker ended.

The two of them made quick work of the grocery store and were back at Eddie's trailer by half six. Once home, Eddie and Chrissy put away the groceries, leaving out the makings for taco's. Eddie had been horrified when Chrissy confided in him that she hadn't ever had a taco and had instantly agreed to make them for her. She was in love at first bite, quickly scarfing down the first taco and making herself a second.

"These are so good," she mumbled as a bit of sour cream smudged in the corner of her mouth. "you're a pretty good cook."

"Thanks," he said, leaning over and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, well aware that his Uncle was sitting in the recliners behind him eating his own tacos.

"So," Wayne cut in between them. "did you get everything figured out?"

"Mostly," Chrissy answered, turning around to look at him. "They're going to be placing me in a foster home for the time being. Except tonight because of it being on such short notice. I hope it's okay with you that Eddie invited me to stay."

"That's fine," Wayne said, shifting in his recliner, "Just no funny business between the two of you, you get me?"

"Yes, sir," they both chimed, looking at each other and flushing slightly. Eddie thought to himself that sometimes parents could be really embarrassing.

After dinner, he and Chrissy spread out the rest of their homework that wasn't finished in the library and on the living room floor, Wayne eyeing him with surprise as he pulled out his assignments. They worked well together, and Chrissy was able to reign his focus in on his homework when his attention started to wane. She was checking over his work, telling him where to fix mistakes when Wayne opened his mouth to speak.

"I can't believe you're able to get him to do his homework," Wayne mused, watching the two of them with a smile on his face.

"Oh, Eddie is going to graduate with me this year," Chrissy told him, sending a beautiful smile up at him. "Even if it's the last thing I do, he will walk that stage with me this June."

"That would make me very proud," Wayne said, nudging Eddie with his foot.

"Me too, Uncle Wayne," Eddie smiled back, as he looked back down at his math homework, "Chrissy, what did you get on number nine? I think my answer is wrong."

"Hm, let me take a look," she said, sliding his paper over and glancing through his work. "Ah, I see where the mistake is. You forgot to carry the 4 in this spot here, see?"

She slid the paper back over to him, and he did the corrections, smiling as he finally came up with the same answer as her. He knew he could do this whole school thing as long as she was standing by his side… or laying by his side, as it were. The three of them sat there in companiable silence for another hour, the teens finishing up their homework while Wayne watched TV. Eddie and Chrissy had finished all their assignments and were putting them back in their bags, sending smiles each-others way.

"Alright," Wayne said, lowering the legs of the recliner and standing up, "I'm off to bed. You two shouldn't stay up too late since you have school tomorrow… and remember to-"

"Keep the door open," Eddie interjected, "Yeah, I got it."

"Damn kids," Wayne muttered as he made his way into the bathroom to get ready for bed. By the time he finished going to the bathroom and brushing his teeth and made it across the hall to his room Chrissy was waiting outside the door to use the bathroom to get ready for bed herself. "Goodnight, Chrissy."

"Goodnight Mr. Munson," She replied, sending a tired smile his way.

She and Eddie took turns in the bathroom, each of them getting dressed and brushing their teeth. She was back in the same Iron Maiden shirt and gym shorts she had slept in that Saturday, and he was wearing a pair of flannel pajama bottoms and a Wasp t-shirt. The two of them hurriedly got beneath the covers before Eddie turned off the lamp, turning the room to complete darkness except for the electric clock he had sitting on his bedside table. The two of them quickly shuffled into their now normal position of her half on him with her head over his heart as his hands began trailing up and down her back.

"So, I noticed today that people kept calling me your boyfriend," Eddie said, trying to sound conversational, "you didn't correct them. Does that mean I am your boyfriend?"

"Do you want to be my boyfriend," She asked, waiting with bated breath for his answer.

"Of course, I do," he answered quickly.

"That's good," she replied, trailing a finger up his chest that caused his breath to hitch. "because I want to be your girlfriend."

"Awesome," he breathed out in relief as the tension left his shoulders and he surged his head down to capture her lips in a kiss that quickly deepened and became passionate. Her hand was tangled in his hair as she shifted to throw a leg over him and straddle his hips. The hand that wasn't in the torso was rubbing up and down his chest while one of his hands trailed down to hold her hip and the other started rubbing up and down her leg. He wasn't sure where he was allowed to put his hands so he tried not to run them too far high up her thighs. The two of them kissed like that for a while before eventually they started to run out of oxygen and their lips got redder and puffier. Chrissy eventually pulled back from the kiss, only to trail a few kisses down his jaw line and towards his ear.

"You're a fantastic kisser," she breathed out into his ear, still panting slightly as feeling started to return to her lips. She gently took the lob of his ear between her teeth and gave it a little nibble, causing him to gasp and turn his head into her neck, where he started pressing kisses and giving little love bites. She moaned lightly and tipped her head back to give him better access, which he used to start a sucking kiss into the junction of her shoulder and neck.

"Jesus, Eddie," she groaned, eyes fluttering closed in pleasure.

"I don't see Jesus," Eddie joked, pulling back from her again, "I think its just the two of us."

"Shut up," she laughed as she started getting her breath back. "We should probably cool down, anyway. Not like we can get carried away with just a short hallway and one thin, closed door between Wayne and us."

After saying that, she dismounted him and got back into her original position, leaning back in to press one more lingering kiss to his lips.

"Do you want to get carried away," Eddie asked, "You sounded kind of sad that we couldn't."

"Someday," she said, running her fingers down his chest and leaving her hand on his lower abdomen. "I'm not ready for actual sex yet, but I'll let you know when I am, and if we are at the same time it will be so on… and if your kissing is anything to go off of, I'm fairly certain the sex is going to be phenomenal when we do have it."

Eddie felt himself starting to get turned on and instantly started thinking of gross stuff to make the swelling go down. Mrs. O'Donnell in a thong… kissing Mr. Higgins who for some reason is also in a thong. Yep, that did it.

"I highly doubt you'll be ready before I am," Eddie said as he started rubbing up and down her back again, causing a slight giggle to bubble out of her mouth.

"Besides," she muttered into his chest before looking up at him in the darkness, "there are plenty of other things we can do before we get to that point. I'm just excited for the journey."

"Me too," he promised her, squeezing a hug around her shoulders with his left arm. "we should probably get to sleep. We'll have to wake up early for both of us to be able to take showers before school tomorrow."

"We could share," she joked, "preserve some of the hot water."

Mrs. O'Donnell in a thong, Mrs. O'Donnell in a thong. Eddie was sure he was blushing as he felt Chrissy silently giggling against him. Such a little tease, and so much smoother than me. I can't believe I get to date her.

"Did I just fluster you," she asked in a teasing voice, trailing her finger up his sternum.

"Hush, you," he whispered, face beet red as he calmed his racing heart.

"Goodnight," she giggled, pressing a kiss over his heart before resting her head over it. It soothed her so much to hear his heartbeat.

"Goodnight Princess," he muttered, still rubbing his hands up and down her back as she finally drifted off to sleep. He wasn't far behind her, and if he had dreams about the two of them together that night, well… she didn't need to know that. He knew she would tease him mercilessly.

The alarm went off at 6 the next morning, causing the two teens to groan while Eddie reached around blindly to turn it off. He managed to hit it, which turned it off, but it also went tumbling to the floor with a loud thunk.

"Mmm, morning," he snuffled, pressing a kiss to her forehead while one of his hands made its way to rest on her hip. "How'd you sleep?"

"Fantastic, as usual," she mumbled reaching a hand up to rub the crust from her eyes. "like I said yesterday, I get the best sleep when it's with you. How'd you sleep?"

"Great," he whispered leaning down to press a kiss to her lips, but he didn't want to escalate anything since they had school, so he pulled back quickly. "You can have the first shower, if you want."

"Thanks, honey," she whispered, Leaning up to press a brief kiss on his lips as she climbed over his lap and out of the bed. When she got into the bathroom she blushed a little as the shirt slid to the side revealing a small hickey that he had left on the bottom of her neck the night before. She slid her hands up to touch it, smiling at the memory. She couldn't wait to make more memories like it.

The two of them managed to get ready for school pretty quickly, but Wayne was already up by the time the two of them made their ways into the kitchen. Eddie beat her to the kitchen and pulled down two bowls, setting them on the counter between them.

"Do you want lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, or froot loops," He asked, pointing to the different options of cereal that were available that morning.

"Hmm, I'll try the cinnamon toast crunch," she told him, "I haven't heard of that one before."

"It came out last year," he told her while already pulling the cereal out of the cabinet while she pulled the gallon of milk from the fridge. "It's pretty amazing."

She agreed with him that it was amazing. She ended up having two bowls of it before the two of them started putting together their lunches. Peanut butter and jelly, pretzels, and some strawberries that she had cut up into quarters. On her way out to the van, she stopped and grabbed her duffel bag while he grabbed both of their backpacks and slid their lunch boxes into them, then the bags went into the backseat of the van and they were off. When they got to school, Chrissy decided to leave the duffel bag in the van, since Amanda would be meeting her in the parking lot after school to take her to her new home.

The two of them walked hand in hand through the halls and to their first class of the day. There were still whispers and strange looks following them as walked. The fact that she was wearing one of his band t-shirts probably didn't help the stares. She had stolen his shirt while he had been in the shower and didn't and paired it with one of the few pairs of jeans her mom had let her buy. Ladies were skirts or dresses, Chrissy. Yeah, I'm going to need to go shopping pronto.

Their morning classes had gone by pretty quickly. Most of Eddie's teachers had been shocked when he actually handed in completed assignments and were giving him strange looks for the rest of class. He had thought Mrs. O'Donnell was going to have a heart attack when he handed her his completed math homework. Chrissy once again found herself at the hellfire club table at lunch, sitting to Eddie's right while the two of them made eyes at each other while eating their lunch.

"Man Chrissy, what happened to your arm," Dustin asked as he sat across from her, motioning to the bruises that were still dark against her skin. She had thankfully been mostly able to cover the bruise on her face that morning with makeup, but she couldn't exactly put a bunch of makeup on her arm, could she?

"Ah," she said awkwardly, "My mom happened. She decided yesterday that she wanted to escalate her abuse to the physical kind, and gripped my arm too tightly. It's okay now, though. I don't have to go back there and Eddie came and rescued me."

After saying that she slid her hand across from her and grabbed Eddie's hand giving it a tight squeeze. Dustin's eyes immediately followed the movement, and his eyes widened fractionally as he looked between the two of them. Neither of them noticed his eyes zeroed in on their clasped hands because they only had eyes for each other.

"Are the two of you going out," Dustin asked, looking between them with a shit-eating grin.

"Yep," Chrissy stated, popping a strawberry piece into her mouth and grinning back at him. "What about you, do you have a little girlfriend somewhere?"

"I do, actually," he said, smiling even wider, "she lives in Idaho, though, so I don't really get to see her. Long distance relationships are hard, man."

"Says the 14 year old," Eddie joked, finally tearing his eyes away from his girl. Dustin flipped him off and threw a fry at him in response, even while Lucas started laughing and singing the song from Neverending Story. There must have been some sort of backstory there, because Mike and Will started laughing while Dustin turned red and turned to flip them all off as well.

"Mr. Henderson," Principal Higgins' voice cut in between all the laughter, "Put down your middle finger. This is not the place for that. If I see you do that again you'll get detention."

"Sorry Mr. Higgins," Dustin stated as he shrunk down, as the principal gave him a stern look before walking away.

"so Mike," Chrissy said, changing the subject away from Dustin to give him a break, "where's your girlfriend? I haven't met her yet. Where does she sit for lunch?"

"Oh, she has the earlier lunch along with Max," he told her as he took a bite of whatever the hell mush was the school had put on his plate.

"Who's Max," She asked as she took a bite of her peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

"My girlfriend," Lucas stated, "you might have seen her before. She and her mom live across the street from Eddie."

"Oh, is she a little redhead," Chrissy asked, as a memory flashed of a redhaired girl staring out at her and Eddie the first time she had gone over there. "I think I have noticed her before."

"That would be her," Lucas responded with a large smile. He seemed completely smitten with her if the look on his face was anything to go on.

"So did you get a chance to work on your D&D character last night," Will asked, voicing up for the first time in the lunch period.

"Alas, no," Eddie answered for her as she had just taken a large bite from her sandwich. "We were at the police station, then the grocery store after that. By the time we got home, ate dinner and finished our homework it was time for bed."

"You finished your homework," Gareth asked in surprise as he looked at Eddie.

"He did," Chrissy said proudly as she smiled at Eddie, "He's going to graduate this year. I'm making sure of it."

"That's cool," Jeff said from the end of the table. "you've gone and gotten yourself a good girlfriend, man."

"She's the best," Eddie asserted, sending a heart stopping smile her way, and a firm squeeze to her hand.

"Is that a hickey I see peeking from the lady's collar," Justin asked from next to Gareth and sending a smirk Eddie's way. The twin blushes blossoming on each of their faces was enough of an answer for the rest of the table, and a chorus of ooh la la's and wolf whistles permeated the air, causing the blushes to darken.

"You guys suck," Eddie said as he glared around the table. He quickly changed the conversation back to dungeons and dragons, "I figured that we could meet up sometime this weekend to make a character for you to join the campaign, if you really wanted to."

"I really want to," she promised him. "especially if I get to have one of those awesome Hellfire Club shirts."

"Everyone who joins the club gets a shirt," Dustin assured her very seriously. "Eddie actually designed them."

"I didn't realize that," Chrissy said, turning her eyes back to her boyfriend who sent a smile her way, "You're a pretty good artist."

"Thanks Princess," he stated, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. "You're so sweet."

"Ugh, get a room," Justin groused jokingly, "you two are going to make me puke."

"We would have a room at Eddie's if we were allowed to close the door," Chrissy joked as she looked at Eddie lovingly.

"Yeah, Uncle Wayne's a pretty big stickler for that one," Eddie said with a laugh. He couldn't remember the last time he had laughed so much. Chrissy really was the best thing that had happened to him so far in his short life.

"I know that feeling," Mike commiserated from next to Dustin with a slight roll of his eyes. "Hopper makes El and I keep the door open at least three inches."

"She's his daughter," Lucas laughed from next to him. "what do you expect him to do, buy you condoms?"

"Of course not," Mike spluttered, reddening impressively. "We're not even close to that point. He could just trust us not to do anything."

The bell signaling the end of second lunch rang before anyone else had the chance to reply to his statement. Chrissy giggled as she and Eddie stood to dispose of their trash and sent a warm smile his way. She really liked his friends and was glad they were allowing her to join them. It was far better than where she had been sitting just last week.

The rest of the school day flew by. Eddie had once again met Chrissy in the library and they were able to finish their assignments for the day during that period which would leave them with no homework to do that evening, which worked well for Eddie since his band was playing that night at The Hideaway. He really hoped that Chrissy would be able to come see him play sometime, but if not he'd just have to give her a private show.

Chrissy was getting more nervous as the day wore on. What if her new foster parents were as bad as her own parents had been. What if she was just trading one private hell for a new one? The questions kept burning through her brain, even as she met Eddie at his van after school to grab her bag. He had already been there when she walked up and gave her a secret wink.

"I left something in your bag for you if you need to take the edge off," he told her with a grin, "so don't unpack your bag in front of your new foster family."

"I won't," she agreed, sending a smile back at him and leaning up on her tip toes to give him a kiss, which he bent down slightly to eagerly return, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist and slightly lifting her to get better leverage. Their peaceful bliss was interrupted by the sound of someone scoffing next to them. Eddie pulled back and saw some cheerleader standing there glaring at them.

"Seriously, Chrissy," the brunette asked as she rolled her eyes. "You broke up with Jason and quit the squad so you can fuck the freak?"

"No Claire," She hissed back at her with her eyes narrowed, "I left Jason because he's a sexist pig who tried to rape me at homecoming and I quit the squad so I wouldn't have to spend anymore time with the vapid, shallow bitches like you. Fucking Eddie is just a bonus… and if you call my boyfriend a freak one more time, I will slap that ugly look right off your face."

"You've got to be kidding me," Claire said as her eyes widened at the threat. "What the hell happened to you, Chrissy? You used to be so cool. You've changed."

"I've only changed in that I'm finally acting like myself," Chrissy replied, still glaring at the other girl. "Now, why don't you fuck off? Eddie and I are busy."

With that remark, Chrissy turned her back on the cheerleader and pulled Eddie back down into a hard kiss, smirking as she heard the girl huff and storm off. When they were completely alone, the kiss softened slightly and turned into a more tender kiss, with Eddie's hands trailing down her back. She felt him hesitate as his hands got lower and pulled back from the kiss to place her hand against his face.

"Eddie, I don't care if you want to move your hands lower," she told him pressing a brief kiss to his surprised lips. "You have my permission to put your hands on my ass or my breasts if you want to. You don't have to be nervous with me."

With that said she pulled him back down, thrusting her fingers of her right hand through his curls while her left hand slid up his chest to rest over his heart. She could feel the beating of it thumping against her hand. She pushed him gently until he was sitting on the floor of his van and climbed into his lap, tossing her hair over her shoulder before she leant down to press a kiss against his neck. She smirked against the skin as she heard a low groan escape his mouth at the contact and smiled as she felt one of his hands trail town to rest on her bottom, pulling her impossibly closer to him. She pulled back and smirked as she saw the hickey now resting proudly on his neck and moved her lips back to his as they started kissing frantically again. She could feel him hardening beneath her and released a slight giggle as she moved her hips against him.

"Are you hard for me, Eddie," She asked, as she pulled back for air.

"I have been since you used the words fucking Eddie, a few minutes ago," he rasped, releasing a groan as she pressed more firmly against him again.

"Do I make you want to cum in your pants," She whispered dirtily into his ear, smirking as he let out a low groan and pressed his hips back up into hers.

"Fuck, Chrissy," he groaned, before she went back to kissing him, her tongue pressing insistently into his mouth as she undulated her hips against his again. She was tugging roughly at his hair as the two of them were writhing together. She could feel a heat growing between her own legs and knew she was getting close to her own orgasm. She lowered her hands to palm against him through his jeans and felt him stiffen suddenly before slowly softening, and new she had just made him come. She shifted against him a few more times before stiffening in in her own release, light moans flowing between the two of them as her hips slowed to a stop.

"I told you," she whispered against his lip in between panting kisses, "there's a lot we can do before we have sex. That was just one of them."

"Christ," He groaned back, tilting his head as he caught his breath, "You are so fucking hot right now."

"You always think I'm hot," she replied, leaning forward to kiss him a few more times. "I know you do."

"That's true," he responded, looking at her earnestly, "I imagine I'll probably have some really good dreams tonight when I get home from The Hideaway."

"Hopefully your dreams will feature me," she told him with a giggle, "and not some 40 year old hussy from the bar."

"After that," He told her smirking, "I can guarantee that you will have the starring role."

She smiled before leaning back in and pulling him into a gentle kiss. When Amanda arrived a few minutes later, they were still locked at the lips and Eddie's tongue was doing wonderful things to her mouth. She could only imagine what wonderful things his tongue could do elsewhere on her anatomy. She was thankful that Amanda hadn't arrived a few minutes earlier, as that would have been an extremely awkward encounter. As it was, the blond woman cleared her throat as she approached the vehicle, eyeing their flushed faces and mussed hair and sending them a knowing look.

"Sorry I'm late, Chrissy," She told her as she approached. "There was an accident slowing down traffic. Are you about ready to go?"

"I suppose I'm as ready as ever," She replied, finally removing herself from Eddie's lap and pressing a few quick kisses against his lips. "I'll see you soon."

"Talk to you later, Princess," He responded, pressing a final kiss to her forehead as he grabbed her duffle bag from behind him and took it to Amanda's car. The two of them hugged tightly before she got in the car and waved goodbye to him.

The car ride was spent in a slightly awkward silence as Chrissy didn't really know what to say to the woman. She wondered if the woman could tell what they had been doing before she arrived and blushed red, keeping her eyes trained on the passing houses. She realized they were in the more middle-class part of town and wondered which of these houses she would be staying at for the foreseeable future.

The house they pulled up to was a blue, one story ranch with an attached garage and a blue minivan parked in the driveway. Chrissy shifted nervously before opening her door and grabbing the bag from the back seat. They slowly made their way up to the door and rang the bell. The sound of the bell reverberated from inside and footsteps seemed to come closer to them before the door opened to reveal a middle-aged woman with a gentle smile flittering across her face.

"Come on in," She said, ushering them inside and smiling at her as she closed the door behind them. "You must be Chrissy. I'm was so sad to hear about what happened to you, and I want you to know that we are happy to take you in. My name is Beth Buckley and this is my daughter Robin. She said, indicating a girl with a shoulder length bob standing in the room with her. You may know her from school. They said that you're a senior as well. My husband's name is John, but you won't meet him until later. He is at work right now. You are just darling. I can't believe that anyone would want to raise a hand to you."

Wow, this lady could chatter.

"I don't think we've met before," Chrissy said to Robin and held out her hand to shake the other girls. "I didn't used to get the chance to talk to a lot of people outside of cheerleading, but I'm trying to branch out. It's nice to meet you."

"Yeah, its nice to meet you, too," Robin said as she shook Chrissy's hand "though, I actually knew who you were as soon as I saw you. I don't think there's anyone in school who doesn't know who Chrissy Cunningham is, and the rumor mill has really been pumping this week at school. I think everyone knew about your breakup with Jason as soon as it happened. Good riddance, by the way. He's a complete piece of crap. My best friend used to be on the basketball team with him and warned me he isn't a great guy. You're dating Eddie Munson, now right? I haven't had much interaction with him, but he seems like a nice guy… Sorry for rambling. I get nervous meeting new people and the filter between my mouth and my brain won't work."

"It's okay," Chrissy said, finding herself giggling at Robin. She thought she seemed really nice. "Who is your best friend? They must be smart to realize how terrible he is."

"Steve Harrington," she said, a smile lighting up her face, as the other girl grabbed her bag and started walking to the room that Chrissy would be staying in. "He graduated last year. I don't know if you remember him."

"Steve 'The Hair' Harrington, yeah," Chrissy said with a laugh, "I remember him. He had great hair, not as good as Eddie's but pretty good. I remember half the squad wanting to date him after he and Nancy Wheeler broke up. How did you two become close? I don't remember him ever hanging out with people from band when he was in school."

"We worked together at Scoops Ahoy over the summer and were there when the fire happened," Robin told her, "we were pretty much in a life and death situation and it made us quickly become friends."

"Is he your boyfriend," Chrissy asked as Robin set her bag down on the bed, causing the other girl to sputter and start laughing.

"Oh god no," She stated while still laughing. "We're platonic with a capital P. He's really not my type."

"Oh, okay," Chrissy said eyes widening as Robin unzipped her bag and a baggie with 2 joints and a lighter fell out onto the mattress. "Shit. Please don't tell your mom I had that in there."

"Is that pot," Robin asked her, giving her a surprised side eye. "I wouldn't have guessed you for the type, and don't worry. I won't say a word… especially if you share."

"I'll definitely share," Chrissy told her with a relieved sigh, "I would normally share with Eddie, but I doubt your parents are going to want him to come over here."

"Why wouldn't they," Robin asked, looking at her in confusion, "It's not like they're at school to hear the Satan worship rumors, and even if they were there, my parents are cool and like to give people chances before coming to any conclusions on them."

"Most adults look at how he dresses and think he's a bad guy, I think," she stated, "but I'm glad to know your parents may be willing to give him a chance. He's a really great guy. I think he may be my soul mate, or something, because I didn't feel whole until I started hanging out with him. I wish I could hang out with him tonight, but I'm here and he has a show at a bar called The Hideout."

"I didn't realize he was in a band," Robin stated conversationally as she started helping Chrissy to put her stuff away in the set of drawers that was set against the wall by the door. "What type of music does he play?"

"I haven't gotten to see him perform yet, but I would assume he plays metal," Chrissy told her as she added her underwear into the top drawer of the dresser. "That's what we spend most of our time listening to."

"Maybe mom will let us go see his show tonight," She stated as she tucked the joints into Chrissy's underwear drawer. "Do you know what time it starts?"

"He said they usually play from 8:30 to 10:00. Do you really think she would let us go to a bar on a school night?"

"We don't have to say it's at a bar, unless she asks," Robin said smirking back at her and closing the drawer. By the time the two of them made it back to the living room, Amanda was standing by the door getting ready to leave.

"If you need anything from me at all, I left you my card with Beth, okay." She asked as she placed a gentle hand upon Chrissy's shoulder. Chrissy nodded at her in understanding and waved as she left the house. Then it was just the three of them in the house and Beth asked Chrissy to join her and Robin in the living room so they could get to know each other better.

"So, you said that you're a cheerleader," Beth asked conversationally as she offered her a glass of iced tea.

"Formerly," she responded, taking a sip of her tea. "I quit the squad yesterday. Cheer was never actually something I was interested in, it was just something that my mom had made me do. Another way for her to force conformity on me."

"So what do you like to do," Beth asked, giving her a sad look.

"Well, I'm still kind of figuring out who I am," Chrissy replied. "I've been forced into a box for so long that now that I'm out I need to try new things. I'm going to be joining the dungeons and dragons club at school. My boyfriend runs it and I think it would be fun to see him in one of his elements."

"So you have a boyfriend," Beth asked gleefully, "What's he like?"

"He's amazing," Chrissy told her, going starry eyed as she described him, "a lot of the kids at school pick on him and call him a freak, but he's the kindest person I've ever met in my life. He's also a bit of a dork, but I like that about him."

"He's in a band, mom," Robin cut in eagerly. "Actually, his band is playing a small show tonight and we were wondering if we'd be able to go?"

"Hmm, what time is it at," Beth asked, looking between the two of them.

"8:30 to 9:30," Robin answered truthfully

"That's pretty late for a school night," Beth stated looking between the two of them again. "and I'd probably be more comfortable if you took Steve with you. That way he can look out for you at the show."

"If Steve is able to come with, can we go," Robin asked, bouncing excitedly in her seat.

"I don't see why not," Beth said, after a moment of contemplation. "Just try to be home by 10:30, but Steve really does need to go with you."

Robin hurried from the room and Chrissy could hear her picking the phone off the hook and the rotary spinning as she dialed what must have been Steve's number. She could hear muffled discussion coming from the kitchen as she and Beth continued on the conversation on their own.

"Will my boyfriend be able to come over here sometime, or do you have rules against that," Chrissy asked conversationally while they waited for Robin to come back into the room.

"Of course he can come here," Beth told her, "but you would either need to stay in the living room or keep the door to your bedroom open if you went in there. We won't have any pregnancies on my watch."

"His uncle has he same rule for us at his place," Chrissy told her with a laugh, even while she blushed. Why does every adult I meet think Eddie is going to knock me up at 17?

Robin returned a minute later with a big grin on her face, informing her mom that Steve had agreed to go with them to the concert. Chrissy felt her heart soar as she realized that she was going to get to see him perform that night. Should I surprise him or call him and let him know I'm coming? She decided to surprise him. She and Robin sat talking with Beth for another hour before Mr. Buckley came home and introduced himself. He seemed like a kind and gentle man, and it turned out he worked at the same plant as Wayne, but he was a bit higher up the chain than Eddie's uncle. He had heard stories about Eddie from Wayne before the man had switched to thirds after Eddie turned 18 and was able to stay at the trailer by himself at night.

"From what Wayne always said about him," the man had stated, "it sounds like he was raising a pretty good kid."

"Oh, Eddie is a wonderful person," Chrissy agreed, "I wish more people would give him a chance before judging him. He doesn't deserve the derision he gets."

"Does he still get picked on at school, then," John asked sadly, "That's too bad. I think I remember Wayne mentioning that before. Poor kid."

"Eh, he manages just fine," she told him with a grin, "He's got me and his D&D group to keep him company and all of us pretty much worship the ground he walks on."

"Sounds like he's lucky to have you," John stated warmly, giving her a brief smile.

After eating dinner, Chrissy and Robin went upstairs to get ready for the show. The two of them were fast becoming friends, and Chrissy realized that this was what a friendship between two women was supposed to be like. Not using underhanded cutting words against each other, and smiling away the hurt those words caused. Yeah, Robin tended to ramble on a lot, but rather than finding it annoying, Chrissy found it endearing. At 8:00 Steve Harrington pulled up in his BMW and honked for them to let them know he was there. Chrissy grabbed the baggie from her dresser, stuffing it in her purse before the two of them ran out of the house to meet Steve.

"Chrissy Cunningham," Steve questioned as she got into his car. "She's your new foster sister?"

"Yeah, did I not mention that," Robin asked as she buckled into the front seat before turning around to face. "Did I see you grab the pot?"

"You did," Chrissy said, grinning and pulling out the joints from her purse and showing them to the other two teens in the car. I figure we can smoke one before we go in."

"Sounds like a plan stan," Steve said with a grin, as he put the car in drive and started the trek to The Hideout. "so who's this boyfriend of yours that is playing in a band? I don't remember Carver ever indicating he played anything other than the field."

"Its Eddie Munson," Chrissy said, smile lighting her face as she once again mentioned her favorite person. "and please don't give him any shit. He's not like most people think he is."

"You're dating Munson," Steve asked incredulously. "How the hell did that happen?"

"He saved me from Jason's assault and I pretty much fell for him instantly," Chrissy said, as she looked out the window.

"Jason assaulted you," Steve asked in worry, "I always thought he was a bit of an asshole. Guess I was right about that. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I've only heard good things about Munson from the people who actually know him."

"Who else talks to you about Eddie," Chrissy asked in confusion. "I don't imagine you have many of the same friends."

"Steve's kids talk about him a lot," Robin said with a laugh.

"Henderson talks about him like the sun shines out of his ass," Steve laughed, running his hands through his hair briefly as he mentioned one of his kids.

"Steve is basically the worlds best babysitter," Robin told her with a grin, "just in case you didn't know."

Chrissy found herself laughing as Robin filled her in on some of the shenanigans that the kids had gotten into with Steve, and how he had used to sneak them into the theater over the summer so they could watch free movies. By 8:15 they had pulled up to the bar and spent a few minutes passing the joint back and forth between them before heading in. Chrissy found a table near the stage and eagerly sat down, waiting for her boy to appear on stage before them. Steve had somehow managed to procure beer for them and set one in front of each girl while nursing one of his own.

Eddie was backstage, which was really just a room with a couch and recliner where the bar kept excess alcohol and pretzels, with the band. He was busy tuning up his guitar and listening to Gareth and Jeff complain about how they still had to go home that night to finish their homework. He smiled as he remembered that he was actually already finished with his homework for the night thanks to his awesome girlfriend. He flushed as he remembered their activities in his car after school and couldn't wait until the next day so he could see her again. It turned him on thinking about how she could be so forward with him, her words to him had been running through his mind all night.

Are you hard for me, Eddie? He shuddered and shifted awkwardly while he tried to will away the remnants of that memory. He couldn't walk out onto stage with a damn hard on. That would just be embarrassing.

"Man, are you about ready to go on, or did you need to stare off into space for a while more," Justin asked, as he made his way over to where Eddie was sitting in the recliner.

"Shut up, man," Eddie said, already standing up to head to the stage. He froze when he came around the corner and saw who was sitting right in front of the stage. His jaw dropped down and he felt exhilarated as he saw his girlfriend sitting there drinking a beer. He walked up to the microphone and sent a wide grin her way before looking out over the rest of the bar. There was actually a better crowd than normal, so that made the night even better. "We're Corroded Coffin, and we're gonna rock the roof of the place. Chrissy, this one's for you."

The heavy chords started falling around her as she recognized one of the first songs they had listened to together. She knew it was an Iron Maiden song, but she couldn't remember the title. She was shocked when he started singing into the microphone. She knew he could play the guitar, but she had no idea he was able to sing as well. She felt heat coiling in her stomach as she watched him play and spent the whole show screaming and cheering for him. She may not be a cheerleader anymore, but she could still be loud when she wanted to. The band played through several songs, and Eddie kept his eyes on her the whole time he performed. She knew that there were other people there, but he only had eyes for her.

Eddie felt like the band had played better that night than they ever had before, but that could have just been because he had never played in front of someone he cared about. She looked up at him with her eyes shining and he never thought she looked more beautiful. The hour that he was on stage flew by and after they finished their set, he set his guitar down on it's stand and jumped off the stage, pulling her into a tight embrace.

"I can't believe you made it," He muttered into her hair as they swayed slightly back and forth in the hug. He pulled back and leaned down to press a quick kiss to her lips, smiling against them. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"I wanted to surprise you," She said as she threw her arms up over his shoulders and pulled him back down into a greedy kiss before she backed away. "Did it work?"

"I'll say, Princess," he responded bringing his hand up to caress her cheek. "I don't think a stampeding herd of elephants could have surprised me more."

She giggled at him and realized that she hadn't introduced him to her new friends.

"Babe, this is my new foster sister Robin, and her friend Steve," she told him as she tugged him closer to her side. "Though, you probably remember him."

"Yeah, we had a couple of classes together last year," Eddie told her, eying Steve with confusion. "Thanks for coming to my show, man."

"Yeah," Steve said, ruffling the back of his hair awkwardly, "You guys are pretty good. Henderson talks about you a lot, but he never mentioned that you were in a band."

"He talks about you a lot, too," Eddie laughed, shifting his arm lower so he could lightly grip onto Chrissy's waist. "He says you're a pretty great guy."

"He's such a little braggart," Steve said, "sometimes his tone of voice can be so damn condescending."

"I know exactly what you mean," Eddie said, "it's like because he's so smart he thinks he knows everything. Which, admittedly, he probably does. I think he could probably graduate this year if he took a placement test."

"Probably," Steve agreed, "the little shit."

Robin stood silently by, watching the conversation flow between the two people Dustin Henderson probably considered older brothers and smiled. She knew he would be happy to know that the two of them could get along.

"Hey, did you want to come back stage with me while I get my stuff together," Eddie asked Chrissy as the two of them made eye contact. She nodded Immediately and he helped her up onto the stage before climbing up himself.

"Don't take too long," Steve shouted after them. "I have to get the girls home by 10:30."

"We won't be long," He said over his shoulder as he lead Chrissy into the back. The other bandmates were already clearing out, carrying Jeff's drum kit out to his truck. As soon as they were alone again, Chrissy practically pinned him to the wall, pressing an insistent kiss against his mouth.

"You were so damn hot out there," Chrissy stated, pressing a kiss to his kips in between each word before finally pressing their mouths together in a battle of tongues. He walked her back towards the couch and as soon as the back of her legs felt the sofa behind her she collapsed onto it. He was already leaning down, but she grabbed hold of his guitar pick necklace and used it to tug him down faster their lips meeting again in a hungry kiss. She wrapped her legs around his hips and pulled him in to get even closer to her, moaning wantonly into his mouth. Everything felt so much hotter than this afternoon, probably from the buzz that she still had from the pot she had smoked before coming into the bar.

He could taste the beer on her lips and his mind was going fuzzy from their powerful kisses. How did she make him feel like this? If someone had told him a year ago that he would be with his junior high crush, he would have laughed in their face. Yet here he was, laying on a couch with her legs wrapped around his hips and one of his hands up her shirt on her breasts, while the two of the undulated together. He was already painfully hard when her hands slipped lower and started undoing his handcuff belt. Her dainty hand slipped into his pants and gripped him. He released a low moan as she ran her hand up and down his length, swiping her thumb over the head of his cock. It only took a minute before he was once again coming in his pants that day. She quickly found some tissues next to them and wiped off her hand, as Eddie continued panting against her.

"Can I touch you, too," he asked pressing open mouthed and panting kisses along her neck. When he heard her respond positively, he pulled his hand out of her shirt and unzipped her own jeans, sliding his hands beneath her panties and rubbing against her mound. She slid her hand into her own pants directing his fingers to find her clit and helped him rub the right place for a few strokes before withdrawing her hand and leaving him to figure it out on his own. He was a quick learner and the callouses on his fingers from playing the guitar felt magnificent. She leaned up to connect her mouth back with his as she drew closer and closer to her own orgasm, her hips were gyrating against his fingers as he brought her over the edge.

"Fuck, Eddie," She moaned out as the powerful feeling overwhelmed her and her head flew back in a moan. He removed his hand when her hips eventually came to a stop and stared at his fingers momentarily before sticking them in his mouth. The sight of that almost made her want to throw caution to the wind and rip of both of their clothing then and there, but she knew they should wait. Instead of ripping off their clothes, they straightened the their clothing back up and redid the zippers on their jeans, as well as his belt buckle. Once their clothes were righted again, they went back to kissing. That was how Robin found them a few minutes later, just leisurely kissing one another on the couch.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt, but we need to get going if we're going to be home by 10:30," Robin said as she neared the couch.

"Shit, you're right," Chrissy said as she looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall across the room. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Goodnight, Princess," He stated, pressing a kiss to the palm of her hand.

Chrissy leaned forward to press a brief kiss against his lips again, before getting up. She grabbed the used tissues from the floor and tossed them in the bin on the way out of the backstage area. She felt so relaxed after getting off, and knew she would sleep well once she finally laid down to bed later that night. She was quiet on the way home as she thought back on what had happened after his show.

Beth was still up watching TV when Chrissy and Robin came in from the show. She talked to them briefly about how the show was while they stood by the doorway. Letting them go when the girls started yawning. As Chrissy laid in bed that night, she wondered how much better things would be at the Buckley's.

AN: Another long chapter. I doubt I'll get the chance to update tomorrow since I have D&D on Sundays I won't have much time to write.
