"So... what now?" Bubbles whispered.

It was the next day since Buttercup left. And the house was unbelievably quiet.

"I can't believe it." Blossom whimpered.

The Professor hesitated, then cleared his throat and spoke. "Girls, i'm so sorry to say this, but it looks like we'll need to rep-"

The Hotline suddenly began ringing from upstairs.

The remaining girls dashed to it. Blossom then answered it. "Hello? Where? Okay, we're on it!"

Blossom hunged up and looked at Bubbles. "It's those Rowdyruff Boys, they're causing trouble at Townsville Mall."

Bubbles groaned. "No, not now."

Blossom sighed. She wasn't in the mood to fight either. But they had to go. "Let's go, Bubbles."

At Townsville Mall...

Inside, the Rowdyruff Boys were 'playing around' by tossing and breaking things all over the place. "Ha ha ha, guess those Powerpuff Girls won't be able to come today."

"Think again, Brick." Blossom said as she and Bubbles stopped in front of them.

The boys now got ready for battle. "Hey, where's the green one?"

That's when Blossom knew she couldn't tell them where Buttercup was. It'll just make them plan more crimes. "She's hiding behind you," she lied, "and you all have ten seconds before she beats all of you up, starting now!"

The boys actually fell for it, they started heading towards a window in a roof.

However, as Butch was about to leave, he thought he heard the girls whispering. "Think they falled for it?" Bubbles asked.

Butch stopped.

"I think so, but remember, no one can know Buttercup ran away."

Butch's eyes widened. Buttercup? The toughest fighter, missing?

Why did his heart began to beat with worry at the news?

"Hey, Butch, you coming?" Brick called from the sky. Butch thought for a second and shook his head. "I'm just gonna go flying around town." He lied. Brick shrugged. "Okay."

Once he made sure his brothers were gone, he quietly followed the girls.

At the Utonium residence...

Blossom and Bubbles stood in their bedrooom, worried, little did they know, however, that Butch was hiding outside their window listening.

Blossom began to float back and forth. "We can't keep saying Buttercup's hiding somewhere when we're fighting crime, sooner or later, everyone will find out. And without her..." Blossom gulped nervously, "we're doomed."

"I knew it! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!"

"Huh?" Blossom and Bubbles stared at the window from where the voice came from. Butch then lifted the window up and stepped inside. Blossom and Bubbles groaned with annoyance. "Get out of here, Butch!" She yelled.

The Rowdyruff Boy crossed his arms infront of his chest. "No. I'm not going anywhere."

"This is NOT my day!" Blossom murmured angrily.

"Better tell me more about this, or Mojo Jojo and the rest of us 'villians' will want to hear about this." Butch threatened.

Blossom took a deep breath and turned to Butch. "Fine, what's it gonna take for you to leave? Money? Snacks? Potions from the lab?"

"For me to help you guys find Buttercup before all of Townsville knows."

Buttercup heated from anger. "Fine! Take the one hundred dollars! Who cares!? Take whatever-wait what?" She wasn't sure, but she heard Butch would help them. "You're seriously helping us, Powerpuff Girls?"

Butch flushed with embarrassment. "Well, if Buttercup, the real challenge out of you two, isn't here, then what's the point in stealing anymore?"

Blossom and Bubbles both immediately rushed to hug him. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

It took Butch a while to finally push the girls away. "Get off me!!" He then started dusting himself as if he was dirty. "What is it with girls and hugging?"

"Let's go tell the Professor!" Bubbles said eagerly. Blossom nodded and the three made their way towards the lab. Once they opened the door to lab, the Professor welcomed them. "Girls, come in! I got some..." he trailed off as he saw Butch, "I will not waste my time questioning why you are here at the moment."

He then nudged all of them, leading them to a place. Butch looked around. "Wow, this whole place is dumber than I ever thought." The Professor led them towards a cauldron which was boiling. His expression revealed fatherly emotion. "Look familiar?"

Blossom gasped. "That's the cauldron where you putted the sugar, spice and everything nice!"

"And the Chemical X," the Professor reminded her, "that's how you got your powers."

Even though it wasn't long ago, nostalgia hit Blossom as she remembered when she and her sisters first got their names and faced Mojo Jojo for the first time.

Suddenly, she knew where this was going. "Woah woah woah. Are you making another Powerpuff Girl?"

"Not exactly." The Professor said. "The sugar, spice and everything nice is already mixed in the cauldron, all it needs..." he grabed the Chemical X. "it's this..."

Everyone was stunned. "Are we really going to do it?" Bubbles asked. That's when Blossom immediately took the Chemical X from the others. "Of course not!" She yelled. "How could you even think of that? We don't need another Powerpuff Girl. We'll just have to find Buttercup in time before Townsville knows she's gone."

Everyone stood quiet for a long, long time. "B-Blossom," Bubbles said in a shaky voice, "Buttercup is... gone. I don't think she'll come back."

"Yes she will! Of course she will! We're her family! We're her sisters! And we're..." She couldn't take it anymore. Tears began falling from her eyes all the way to the ground. "We're stupid. H-How could I had stand there, watching her get hurt? How could I had taken away her blanket when she is barely five?" She felt her body trembling with self rage. "How could I have been a horrible sister!!!???" She sat on the floor, grabed her knees with her hands and began to cry more.

Bubbles hugged her sister. "It's okay, Blossom," she tried to sound excited, "we're gonna get a new sister!"

After several sobs more, Blossom finally looked up from her knees.

"I don't want another sister. I want Buttercup."
