It started with one person at a time.
First it was Otto, which Nova didn't mind, and he got inside the blanket the yellow monkey had around herself. Then Sprx came and sat next to her with his arm on her. It was getting a little crowded for her but she didn't say anything. Gibson came and sat next to Otto before he threw his arm onto both him and Nova. Before she could have a chance to say anything, Antauri floated over and placed himself next to her as well.
All she wanted to do was read a book in peace, but everyone else had other plans. Nova sighed as she lowered the book she held.
"You can keep yourselves warm without problem." She started. "Why huddle up next to me?"
"Because we love you?" Otto responded.
Gibson chuckled. "That and it's statistically better if we're together; we'll be warmer that way, dear."
"Besides, why wouldn't we want to be near our favorite girl?" Sprx suavely added. "You're too hot to resist."
Nova playfully rolled her eyes. "Oh, shut up."
"You might have to do something yourself if you want Sprx to stop." Antauri stated.
She didn't have to look at Antauri's face to know the smirk there. Gibson laughed at the statement.
"What you're thinking of, Antauri, may not work. However, he's proven that can work on me."
"Nerd."
"Your nerd." Gibson corrected.
Nova smiled. "Alright, you guys can stay with me."
"Can Chiro stay too?" Otto looked at the doorway to the kitchen. "He's comin' over with hot chocolate."
"Now you're just pushing it." She teased as she stuck her tongue out.
Chiro stopped walking. He hummed.
"I guess nobody wants these then." He turned around.
Nove looked at Chiro. "Get back here."
Chiro turned back around with a smile on his face. He gave everyone their cups before he sat down in front of Nova. Everyone started having a conversation with each other. Nova would sometimes give her input on what's being talked about but she kept her attention mostly on the book she was reading.
It was actually kinda nice having the team here.
