Kassandra was a Spartan misthos who had been sent to Elysium by her father Pythagoras to figure out and learn how to use the Staff's powers after it gained her immortality . On her arrival she was greeted by a dog licking her face and a handsome young Greek god with blonde hair . His name was Hermes and he was the messenger god. Kassandra was struck back by his beauty . After Natakas she had felt low , hollow and sad and couldn't bring herself to love another . As whenever she got too close to someone they always had to die . From Myrinne to Phoibe , Brasidas , Natakas and many more . She realised she was better on her own . However when she saw Hermes, Strong feelings of love came back . Something she hasn't felt in ages she was almost overwhelmed by it . Before she could dwell on it any longer, Hermes spoke up. "Keeper, Kassandra Welcome to Elysium!" he said in his gruff voice gesturing with his arms . Kassandra jumped back in shock, surprised to know the Greek god knew her name. Alert and suspicious she jumped back with her spear in hand. "Tell me who you are before I kill you" she threatened. The handsome man laughed. "I'm Hermes, the Greek messenger god. I know why you're here. It's because of the spear isn't it. Your Pythagoras daughter". Upon hearing this, Kassandra lowered her spear. She was in awe, growing up Hermes was her idol and favourite god. Now he was standing in front of her in Elysium, his home. She couldn't believe it. Everything happened so fast. It was crazy. She grew up her whole life believing Nikolaos the wolf of sparta was her real father only to realise it was Pythagoras which was already a shock and now she was in Elysium despite not being dead and her idol Hermes was in front of her, and he was a lot more handsome than she expected. "Hermes? And yes I am Pythagoras daughter and yes he sent me here. I've been worshipping you since I was a young girl and I've always dreamt of meeting you in Elysium and here we are". She looked around at the beautiful waterfalls and scenery of Elysium in a daze, it felt unreal and felt like a dream only it wasn't. When she came to her realisation curiosity had gotten the better of her. "Still, how do you know who I am? Do you gods really know everything?" she questioned turning back to Hermes. He looked back at her answering. "The staff is actually mine, I engineered it at my workshop before giving it to your Father as the first keeper. We kept in touch throughout while he looked after it. We kept in contact regularly . He told me everything about your Mother Myrinne, and then you." He paused. "Before he gave the staff to you and passed away he told me to keep an eye out for you once you reached Elysium as you were the new keeper of my staff that's how." Kassandra nodded everything made sense now. Pythagoras had known Hermes while she was in Sparta and Kephollinia growing up all this time. Still she remembered her objective. Which was to learn how to use the spear as fast as possible and get back to the mortal world, after all she was only a demi-god and wasn't fully a god yet so she would always be out of place no matter how welcoming Hermes was to her. Possibly only because of his connection to her Father previously and the fact that she had one of his spears. Cutting that out of her thoughts, she asked straight to the point. "Once I find parts of your keys to strengthen the spear so that I can use its full powers, How exactly do I get out of here? We both know that I don't belong here, not fully and I need to go back to the mortal world and Greece. I have other things to do there". Hermes nodded , fully understanding the situation. "There is a gate. But you need to get through Persephone first and it's not easy, as Hades' wife and queen of Elysium she is very powerful. I suggest doing her some favours whatever she asks to gain her trust then you can think about escaping and leaving after that". He answered truthfully. "Elysium may look like a paradise to you, however it is very complicated and everyone has some dark secrets of their own". Kassandra frowned and was about to ask Hermes further as to what he meant by this but he cut her off before she could speak. "Anyway, why am I telling you this?" he waved dismissively with his hand. "You don't understand the staff itself yet so you wouldn't understand this". Kassandra was stunned by his sudden bluntness. All Positive feelings about Hermes vanished completely at that second. She was fuming deep inside. How dare he assume she was stupid. She was even more determined to prove herself and prove him wrong now. "I'm talking to Persephone now I'm going to confront her at her palace" she fumed back towards Hermes with her arms crossed. He didn't seem fazed and replied nonchalantly . "Meet me at Minos' Faith when your done Kassandra" and he walked off.

When Kassandra got to Minos' Faith she saw Hermes confronting a man. She stayed behind the wall and watched the meeting hidden from view. They were arguing. The man then provoked Hermes with something about Persephone using Hermes as a puppet . With rage he punched the man in the stomach and stormed off spotting her in the process. She was confused . What made him so angry? "Ahh you came" he approached her hands on hips catching Kassandra in her compromising position. "Yes I did as promised. What was that?" she asked, pointing confused at what she just saw. "Ah, that was Adonis, one of the human rebels who tried to convince me to let him leave. He insulted Persephone which is why I punched him" he explained, still sounding annoyed. This answered Kassandra's questions and she mostly wasn't confused. Except for why was Hermes so protective over Persephone? It was almost like he had feelings for her if she didn't know any better. Before she could think further. Hermes spoke, snapping her out of her thoughts. "I could do with a walk, and with the way you're frowning I'm guessing you could do with one too?" he questioned looking back at her. Kassandra looked back at him. Her thoughts were muddled; she really could do with a walk to clear her head out and perhaps while they were at it she could find out why Hermes was so into Persephone. She gladly accepted his invitation . "I'm happy to go for a walk, you're right I do need one right now" she sighed before she got on her horse and followed Hermes .

They toured around Minos' Faith, first stopping at Hermes' workshop where he was making some other weapons, keys and spears. His workshop was a simple table with a stool and roof close to a beautiful waterfall. Then onto some ruins with some beautiful flowers and some ruins which according to Hermes were some buildings Persephone had built many years ago and was once beautiful before they got destroyed. When she asked how it got destroyed, Hermes had dodged her question. He seemed to not want to delve into Persephone too much for some reason sticking to talk about the scenery and the area in general, so Kassandra just let him talk all the while observing Hermes from behind and the beautiful scenery around them. The ride was really doing wonders for her. All the stress from infiltrating Persephone's forts and trying to find the staff keys without being spotted by the kolossi had disappeared. Right now in this moment it was just Hermes in front of her and the beautiful scenery. She just wanted this moment of paradise to last forever. It was at this moment that she realised she was falling hard for Hermes even though he liked Persephone she couldn't help but get attracted to him. HIs voice, his features , his kindness, mostly everything about him. All too soon the ride stopped outside a cave stopping her from her thoughts.

He dismounted from his horse and she did the same as well. "In this cave, is one of the keeper's insights' and a piece of paper with everything about you and your Fate in there and another key" he said gesturing towards the cave. Kassandra faced him. "Thank you Hermes, I really enjoyed that ride . Normally my guide back at home Barnabas is very useful when it comes to directions on my ship the Adrestia, however you've been a great help to me here guiding me and giving me a helping hand" she replied gratefully smiling at him. Hermes smiled back. "Well I will leave you to your adventures then" he turned round and gave a wave before he disappeared and Kassandra entered the cave curious to know what her "Fate" was on this piece of paper that Hermes had written for her.

Once she entered there was a treasure chest with the key along with the keeper's insight and a parchment of paper on the top. She grabbed the paper, inspecting carefully what was written there in some godly written Greek language. The paper read:

Keeper Kassandra,

Your Fate is to go around the world removing isu artefacts to prevent the human race from extinction. You will live for 2000 years until the year 2018 when you decide to give up the staff having been fed up of seeing too many people you love die over and over again. To the "Heir of Memories". You meet the Heir of Memories in Atlantis ,and hand over the staff to her . She will be the new keeper. You will travel to Egypt, England and meet many other assassins like you. You live a long and lonely life in the shadows protecting the human race and never get any credit for it. You will get out of Elysium with the help of Hermes.

The paper ended there. Kassandra stared at the paper in shock. 2000 years? She would live for 2000 years? So Pythagoras was right the staff did give people immortality. 2018? That was a long time away. She couldn't imagine living that long from 422 BC all the way to 2018. Without ageing a day and always staying the young woman she was. Impossible. What on earth had Hermes put on this staff? She couldn't believe that she was chosen to be one of the immortal ones. But why her? There were lots of misthios out there. Was it because she was Pythogoras' daughter? There were so many questions burning through her mind. Heir of memories? Who was this? Would she end up having another child this time a daughter? . This was even more complicated than what the local Pythia used to tell her. Travel the world? What was England anyway? Sure she knew Egypt as she told Darius to send her son there to safety after Natakas' death . Long and lonely life? So this was only just the beginning of her being alone and witnessing people die over and over again. She couldn't believe that she could endure watching people die over 2000 years when it was hard enough already even as a mortal.

She put the paper in her pocket and headed out to find Hermes . She definitely needed answers and a lot of them after this. However when she found Hermes it wasn't what she expected. His arms were crossed and his forehead was strained with lines. He was clearly stressed. Putting Hermes needs' before hers she gently approached with concern . "Hermes. You look concerned. Is everything alright?". "Persephone," He answered. "I'm worried about Persephone '' he said, shifting from side to side nervously in a quiet and low voice. Kassandra fought the urge to roll her eyes. Persephone. She was starting to realise that rebel Adonis was right. It was so obvious everyone could malaking see that she was just using him. When could he see sense? It frustrated and hurt her at the same time. Hermes deserved way better. Pushing those thoughts out of her mind she answered, trying her best to reassure herself and Hermes, "I'm sure Persephone will be alright. She's strong and knows how to look after herself" she put on a reassuring tone. Hermes answered full of love and adoration for Persephone. "Yes she is very incredible and strong. I agree with you. Still I am worried. I heard some rebels are trying to overthrow her" he said, gushing and waving his arms about. Kassandra figured out instantly what he meant. "So you want me to handle the rebels for you and Persephone" she sighed knowing that an infiltration mission was imminent. Hermes grinned at her with glee, very pleased that she had hit the jackpot . "Yes that would be ideal" he grinned full of happiness. Ugh thought Kassandra, what a lovesick puppy . Persephone really knows how to get people under her spell. All the more I should go against her. "Fine, as you wish only because Kyros was an old friend of my Father's, not because I agree with what you are doing with Persephone" she glared at him annoyed. Hermes didn't take the hint and was not fazed. "Thank you, You know you're a really wonderful ally and friend to me. You saved me a great deal of trouble Kassandra". He rubbed his hands babbling gratefully. Yeah yeah she thought as she walked away to free Kyros, only because I am helping you chase after Persephone that's why. If only he saw her as more than a friend like she did to him but he was too in love with Persephone to realise anything else. He was completely blinded. She needed to concentrate now although it was hard. It was time to focus on finding her Fathers' old friend, Kyros.

After Kyros had been freed, Kassandra and Kyros both made their way back to Hermes and Persephone's palace . Hermes wasn't too happy to see them both. He scowled angrily, crossing his arms . "Where have you been, you kept Persephone waiting". Kassandra was shocked, she almost stumbled back at Hermes' tone but managed to compose herself as Kyros did the same. He really liked Persephone so much that he was worried that they would make him look bad. Kyros stepped up defending himself and Kassandra in the process. "Relax, Hermes it was my fault I stopped along the way to clean myself up as you know Persephone doesn't like filth . I wanted to make myself presentable to the queen. My apologies. I'll make sure to take full blame so she doesn't blame you" he bowed. Hermes' expression shifted and he nodded. "You explain that to Persephone, right now she's still waiting". Kyros nodded and sprung into action quickly going up the stairs and entering the palace towards Persephone. Kassandra stepped towards Hermes, confirming. "Persephone is safe now, I made sure of that" she said looking towards Hermes, carefully eyeing him for his reaction. He seemed grateful giving her gratitude before getting anxious again this time at something else. "I'm grateful for that and your help, my friend, however Persephone is not. The gift I was meant to give her a flame recipe has gone missing. Those rebels took it again". He was pacing back and forth nervous, hands on his hair. Ugh. Another mission helping Hermes with his lovesick chase of Persephone. It was quite ironic itself . As the messenger god himself, why was he not running around chasing the bandits and the rebels for his recipes and better yet why was he not sending love poems himself to Persephone. Why was she doing all of his dirty work , just because she was Pythgoras' daughter didn't mean that he could just take advantage of her and make her his servant just like that. She had to choose her words carefully. After all she couldn't offend Hermes as she needed his help to get out of Elysium as he was a vital ally, at the same time these tasks were getting boring and stupid. She didn't come to Elysium to help Hermes play matchmaker. She came here to sort out the staff then leave. This was already taking longer than necessary. Without wanting to offend Hermes and wanting to imply subtly that she was getting fed up of chasing Persephone's and Hermes' mess, mostly Hermes, she responded. "Can't you just remake the recipe and give it to Persephone?" she suggested trying not to sound annoyed. Hermes looked back at her in disbelief. Oh no Kassandra thought, she had offended Hermes. Oh great that's an ally out the window. She cringed mentally. "This recipe took me a lifetime to make. I can't just make another one. Persephone needs it now. This cannot wait. I need you to steal it back now" he yelled in a panicked manner. "Alright Alright, I'll steal it back" she frowned, unable to hide her annoyance this time. She just wanted Hermes to shut up about Persephone, that's all he would ever talk about. Nothing else. He was literally obsessed with her. Hermes stopped and smiled at her . "You really are my friend and ally helping me with this Persephone stuff". This infuriated her. "Not so fast, I'm not your friend. I'm just here to get out of Elysium and if that means doing your silly tasks so be it. And next time keep the recipe a secret so people won't steal it". She snapped at him. him. She had enough of Hermes using her and calling her friend only because she was helping him with his stupid malaka tasks that he couldn't be brave enough or bothered to do himself. Hermes was silent. His smile disappeared from his face . The atmosphere was tense. "You know your Father helped me with this recipe. We made this together. Even he agrees and approves of this gift to Persephone. I'm sure that's the least you could do for your family right? Even if not for Persephone". He wagered in a flat tone all friendliness and smiles gone from his face. Kassandra was furious how dare he manipulate her by using her dead father in this. And did Pythagoras really agree to such a stupid thing. Malaka. "Why would you go to such lengths for Persephone? She wouldn't do the same for you. Can't you see she's using you?" she sputtered letting all her hurt and anger out. She didn't care about the consequences now, enough was enough it was time to stand up for herself. He turned his back on her equally as furious too. "Because she's suffering. When she suffers I suffer too, we all do, all the gods of Elysium. And I don't believe she is using me, if anything she needs me by her side more than ever". He turned round angrily shouting at Kassandra. Kassandra gave up. It was pointless arguing with Hermes; he was so beyond it he couldn't even see sense anymore. She was just wasting her breath and her time. "Fine. I will find the rebels , steal back your recipe and end the suffering for you". She snapped again before turning around before her emotions could take over her again. She took out her frustration on the rebels in the camp with her spear and it felt good. To let her anger out with her blade. When she was done she stormed back to Hermes who was standing in a different spot waiting for her. She threw the paper with the recipe on the floor. "Here's your recipe, now you can stop suffering and wallowing over Persephone". Hermes looked at her in shock. He had calmed down during that time , and couldn't quite understand why Kassandra was still so furious. "What is the matter with you?" he questioned, getting angry himself too. "The matter is , I'm watching you going crazy over Persephone. You think because of her you can order me about and do what you want. She doesn't even love you, can't you see that and she never will." she snapped angrily pointing a finger at Hermes.

"Enough!" he yelled, coming up close to her. She didn't falter or back down. "No matter what you do, how much killing you do for her... She will never love you back. Deep down you know I'm right" she said gazing onto his eyes as he grabbed her shirt and held her by the collar and neck. With a roar, Hermes lost it and threw Kassandra to the floor. "I didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice" she got up and panted and wiped the blood off her mouth. He really had lost it now with his obsession with Persephone. He was hurting everyone who didn't agree with Persephone. Her, Adonis and the humans too. She took her sword out and spear as Hermes got his shield and sword too and they started fighting each other. Kassandra had the upper hand. She threw Hermes' shield away from him and pinned him down to the floor. She was about to knock him out after a punching rampage when Hekate, one of the other gods and Persephone's friend, stepped in. Running in front of Kassandra. "Stop ! The pair of you Before you do something you both regret". Kassandra looked up. "Stay out of this Hekate!" she yelled breathlessly. "No I will not!" she yelled back,"Not until you both stop killing each other. Stand down now. I need you both. Persephone's fight isn't over. With both of you dead, who is going to fulfil that role?" she asked, looking at them both. Kassandra reluctantly removed her grip and spear from Hermes' neck and uttered. "This isn't over yet, push me again and I'll kill you, understand. Hekate saved you this time. You should be thanking her" she spat at his face. Hermes got up bruised and battered and scowled at her before walking away along with Hekate.

It was a while before Kassandra saw Hermes again. The next time she saw Hermes he was having a conversation with Hekate. There was an argument about her and Persephone. Again she hid behind the wall while she listened to their argument. Hekate was asking Hermes for help to stop Kassandra from leaving Elysium by hiding the key as he was a keymaker to the gate so she could use it as a chance to spread false rumours and cover her tracks as Persephone's traitor by throwing Kassandra under the bus and getting her to take the blame. Kassandra was shocked to the core by what she heard. She didn't expect Hekate to throw her under the bus and stop her from leaving Elysium. But then again the traitors are the one who we least expect. Still she couldn't help but be surprised. What surprised her even more was despite their last rift and conversation, Hermes was angry at Hekate and could see through her lies and manipulation and was defending Kassandra and was shouting at Hekate calling her out for bringing Persephone down and refused to help with hiding the key. A furious Hekate answered. "Fine, if you won't help me Hermes I'll just have to go to Persephone's ear and tell her about how Kassandra is the traitor not me and she'll be thrown out" with that she stormed off from the secret room. Kassandra was about to leg it knowing she had to get to Persephone first and defend herself with the news she had just heard. Until the rustling of her escaping got Hermes' attention.

"Kassandra?" a shocked Hermes stopped her in her tracks as he turned round to where she was . Malaka, she had been spotted. She turned round to face Hermes reluctantly. Putting a stormy face on due to the pressure and intensity of the situation after everything she just heard she responded in a hostile manner. "Hermes, I haven't got time for this. I need to get to Persephone now after everything that backstabber said about me" . Hermes looked at her with a different expression to the one that he last had after their hostile encounter. His expression was soft, gentle, one of concern even. He looked at her and nodded understanding. Kassandra couldn't dwell on it any longer and quickly made her way to Persephone's palace only to see that Hekate had arrived and was already badmouthing her in front of Persephone who looked angry at the lies she was spewing.

After managing to get Persephone on her side and convincing her that Hekate was the one that Persephone needed to throw out, a distraction happened. It was Adonis and the rebels they had invaded the palace grounds and a battle had broke out between the isu soldiers and the humans. Kassandra ran off to join the rebels killing the isu captains while Persephone and Hermes watched from the palace in safety. Once the battle was over, an angry Adonis stormed over to Persephone claiming she release him back to his love Aphrodite. In a sudden and unexpected turn of events, it was revealed that Persephone had feelings for Adonis but he didn't feel the same. Elysium was created as a gift for Adonis as a way of Persephone showing her love for him. However this backfired and only had the opposite effect making Adonis resent her even more. As he said a prisoner won't ever love their captive, one Persephone should know very clearly as Hades had done the same to her. An angry and infuriated Persephone blinded and scarred Adonis' face with her powers. "If I can't have you, then no one will". As she burnt his face badly. All Kassandra and Hermes could do was stand there in silence and shock staring as the scene unfolded in front of them.

Unfortunately, It was Hermes' turn to face Persephone's wrath next. "Hermes Trismegistus. You have failed me again" she spat coming up close to Hermes and grabbing him by his neck . All Kassandra could do was look at him in shock. Seeing Hermes in pain and grunting under her grasp was too much, Persephone had gone too far now. She grabbed her spear and tried to lunge towards Persephone only to be stopped by a large force freezing her on her tracks. She grunted and tried to fight against it, but going against the power of a god was no use. Persephone eventually released her grip. And angrily threw Hermes and Kassandra into a deep pit. They landed on their backs. Both of them groaning at the same time. Kassandra looked around her. They were in a dark cave full of ash and smoke. And the pit's entrance was nowhere to be seen. She scanned her surroundings trying to see any movement or indication of danger. "Where are we?" she asked, looking round. Hermes was behind her doing the same. "Looks like we're in the underworld. She sent us straight to Hades". Before he could continue any further, A creature with three eyes approached. Kassandra and Hermes immediately panicked. They were cornered and there was nowhere to go and this horrible creature was approaching. There was no other choice but to fight their way out if they wanted to make it out of the underworld in one piece.

"Guard my back in case the monster decides to lunge at me from behind and I'll guard yours" Kassandra ordered Hermes as he stood back to back with her with both their weapons in their hands. He nodded. "This will be messy" Kassandra said through gritted teeth as the monster approached closer and she swung at it's head, slicing one of the heads of the three headed monster they were fighting. For the next half an hour they focused on slaying the beast and weakening it. After a long and draining fight the beast was finally dead. Hermes and Kassandra collapsed on the floor in exhaustion. They sat in silence resting until Hermes spoke up. "I can't believe she did that," he said, referring to Persephone. Kassandra looked at him as he spoke. His head was down and he looked defeated and sad. She put her hand on his shoulder to try and make him feel better. "Me neither. She wanted us both dead and tried to kill us by throwing us in here". Kassandra responded agreeing with Hermes. "It's not just that, worst of all she had feelings for Adonis all this time" he said looking down at the floor again in despair. Before he looked at Kassandra and continued. "I guess you were right, I should have listened to you". He said in a sad and regretful tone. Kassandra turned to face him, her tone soft now as she felt sorry for Hermes after all he had been trapped under her spell so it wasn't entirely his fault. "It's alright. I understand. Love blinds people, literally. You saw Adonis' face all because he loved Aphrodite" she said trying to reassure him. "Yes and she tried to kill me too because I failed her and wasn't of use to her anymore. I can't believe she could just dispose of me like rubbish like I didn't mean anything to her. She claimed to have loved Adonis but did she really? With all the things she did ? I can't believe I fell for a woman like that" he muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I couldn't believe it either". Kassandra admitted. "But Persephone was very beautiful on the outside with her charm as well. The way she puts people under her spell. It's hard not to get caught up. I guess Elysium is a complicated place, not the paradise I always thought it was. So many traitors everywhere. Who do you trust?" she wondered, speaking her thoughts aloud staring into the dark grey gloomy atmosphere of the underworld. "I trust you" Hermes said, breaking her out of her thoughts and catching her by surprise. She didn't expect Hermes to answer her. It was meant to be a rhetorical question, not one to be answered. She turned back to face him. His voice was soft and his expression too. He actually seemed genuine, Kassandra thought. "After everything I went through in Elysium I actually realised that you were the truest friend and ally that one could have. I never really trusted humans before as I always saw them as outsiders until I met you and that changed". He admitted looking into her eyes. Kassandra was surprised to hear that Hermes never really trusted people, especially humans but then again he was brainwashed by Persephone to hate humans so it made sense. "You made me realise that everything Persephone said was wrong, that she was the horrible one all along not you" he confessed looking into her eyes the entire time. Kassandra nodded, overwhelmed by everything she was hearing. "Yes she tried to turn you against me and Hekate too" Kassandra replied agreeing with Hermes again. "She did," Hermes replied, nodding. "But she failed. If anything it made me realise what I wanted was in front of me all this time". Kassandra looked back at Hermes. She was in shock. Was Hermes confessing his feelings to her? Her heart beat faster as she felt overwhelmed with emotions inside. Hermes stroked her face. As he leaned in closer to her. The tension was bubbling as their faces were inches from each other. She shivered under his touch. She couldn't believe that Hermes was touching her. It had been a while since she had been touched this intimately. "You're beautiful, Kassandra. I have waited many lifetimes for this". She pulled back, stunned and confused. Hold on. Many lifetimes for this? What was Hermes talking about? This was suspicious now. "Many lifetimes? What do you mean by that?" she asked abruptly, distancing herself from Hermes. Hermes sighed. He decided to admit everything about why she was here and why he chose her as the staff bearer.

"It's a long story. But I brought you here, I did all of this." he admitted. She frowned at him in confusion and suspicion. He continued . Not wanting to break the trust and the connection they had that he had worked so hard on. Everything had been leading to this moment and he wasn't just going to let it screw over. "I have been watching you ever since Pythagoras had you. I saw everything you went through from Sparta to Kephollonia, then Natakas and your child everything right till you arrived here". "Right," she answered, frowning back at him. It was time to admit the truth there was no going back. "The truth is, I have always loved you since you were a baby and since you were growing up. I tried to distract myself and push it away by going for Persephone as I knew you were going to leave Elysium eventually . But the more time I spent with you, the harder it was. Now with everything that happened with Persephone I felt like I couldn't hide it anymore. I've been holding this secret for too long. I understand this is a lot to take in and if you don't want anything to do with me I can get you back to the mortal realm and we can pretend this never happened". He reassured her. Kassandra looked deep in thought, the frown was now gone and her face had softened with understanding. Hermes waited anxiously looking at her for an answer. He wouldn't be surprised if he had his heart broken twice in one day. This was too sudden and even sounded a bit creepy the way he had told Kassandra that he had watched her grow up since she was a child. After a while of quiet silence, Kassandra finally spoke up.

"The staff, Pythagoras, helping me and bringing me here"... She trailed off "It all makes sense" she realised putting the pieces together. 'That's why you chose me... Because you loved me". Kassandra stood up walking toward Hermes. "Yes that's right" he confirmed, unafraid anymore. "Oh Hermes..." she trailed off tears running down her eyes. "I feel the same about you too. You were always my favourite god growing up and when I first saw you here I thought you were so handsome and kind and ugh I just fell in love with you. I tried to tell myself you would never feel the same as you were always gushing about Persephone and that a God would never love a human... But how wrong was I" she continued emotional . "And no you're wrong, I want everything to do with you". Before Hermes could continue any further Kassandra marched towards him and gave him a kiss . He picked her up as their kiss deepened and they started making out. Eventually they stopped. Kassandra pulled back. "But I have one question," she said, frowning and narrowing her eyes at Hermes. "What is it my lovely?" he asked, hands around her waist still. "Is everything that's written about my Fate true?" she asked. "Yes it is, Kassandra . That's if you decide to leave Elysium . That can change if you stay with me." he answered gently. "Change how?" she inquired curiously. "I can help you become immortal permanently. And if you stay with me in Elysium I promise you a happy and fulfilling life, one full of peace and happiness and one where you don't have to witness people die anymore". "Really?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yes my love you can trust me with that" he replied reassuring her. "Hmmm.." she murmured deep in thought. "I would like that, now how do we get out of here?" she asked Hermes.

"We use my flying sandals. Here put these on. We can fly back out of this pit and back to Elysium. We can go to my workshop. Persephone won't bother us there". He confirmed throwing Kassandra a pair of sandals. "Alright" she said as she put the sandals on. She hugged Hermes as they were whisked away out of the pit and back into the glorious view of Elysium leaving the dark hell hole behind.

A while later...

It came the day of Kassandra and Hermes' marriage. After her coronation ceremony as the new queen of Elysium replacing Persephone, the final part of the ceremony was the ritual that would turn Kassandra immortal permanently thus making her able to live out her life with Hermes in Elysium forever changing her fate from the one written on the piece of paper. "Are you sure you are ready? There's no turning back now" her new husband Hermes asked her. Kassandra nodded. She was definitely sure about this. Hermes then leaned in, holding and cuddling her tightly in a strong kiss and embrace as some of his powers transferred onto Kassandra while they kissed a strong yellow energy radiating around her . After the long kiss the process was done and Kassandra was now immortal. "How do you feel?" Hermes asked, eyeing her cautiously to see if she was alright. "Better than ever," Kassandra replied smiling. She definitely felt stronger and more alive than ever. "Shall we?" Hermes asked as he clasped his hand onto her and she did the same back to him. As they walked back to his workshop to begin their new life together in Paradise.

The End.
