Part 1: The Discovery

Hammerhead.

The name that strikes fear into whoever hears it.

Hammerhead.

The mob boss who's gotten rich off of other people's wealth.

Hammerhead.

Merciless, ruthless, vicious.

Hammerhead…. had begun watching cartoons?

It all began one quiet Saturday night, a decision that would change the course of his life, that he himself does not know for better or for worse….

After playing some Doki Doki Literature Club, Hammerhead needed a good show to fall asleep to. He considered his favorite anime, JoJo, but that was much too energetic for sleep.

He opened Disney+ up on his laptop, started up some popcorn, and scrolled down the seemingly endless rows of shows.

His eyes getting blurry, he might have fallen asleep right then and there, until something catched his eyes.

The Owl House.

He'd never heard of it before, nor had he never seen it on Disney+.

(He didn't watch Disney stuff that often though, because he was tough, and Disney shows were for toddlers.)

The Owl House, such a vague yet intriguing name. His criminal instincts told him this was the show for him, but he had to check the rating.

TV Y7 FV.

"Dangit," he muttered to himself.

This was much too childish, but his popcorn was done and he had to find something before it went cold.

"Ah, well fine. It's not like anyone will know." He laughed weakly.

Imagine what would happen if one of the biggest mob bosses watched kids cartoons!

Only second to Kingpin, this could blow his shot to usurp that bag of bricks. (Not to mention all the new quips this would give Spiderman!)

But it was fantasy violence as well. And ratings are wrong all the time.

Too late.

He clicked on the first episode, and unwillingly ate his cold popcorn.

The next morning….

"Whoa boss, you don't look so good." Remarked Shark Teeth, one of Hammerhead's accomplices.

Hammerhead and his five main accomplices always met up in his furnished apartment when they were going over one of their usual schemes.

Hammerhead walked into his luxurious living room, looking like the devil sucked the soul out of him.

Suffice to say, he didn't get any sleep.

Hammerhead blames an invisible fairy for gluing his eyes to his screen. He couldn't stop watching The Owl House, and before he knew it, he'd finished the first season!

He assured his accomplices by saying he was doing recon on some bank. They all cheered for their tough and determined boss.

That was close. He thought. One mistake and that's my reputation being flushed down the drain.

Throughout the day, he tried his best to act normal, and go about their usual scheming and planning.

But inside, his brain was screaming at him. Theories, and quotes, and scenes wouldn't leave him alone. He just had to start the second season immediately, but he couldn't until all his goons were gone. He tried to focus, tomorrow he was hosting a special guest.

Someone who could get him a powerful weapon.

But not before he saw what happened to Luz and co!

To be continued… dun dun dun…..
