Chapter 1
(Flashback)
The Fantasy Kingdom is under attack by Pokemon with dark energy, the whole Rosemary City is in flames as everyone is trying to escape the city. In the castle, Queen Catherine is holding an infant in her arms, she turns to a guard and says, "Quick, bring my daughter away from the city as far as possible."
"But what about you, your highness?" The soldier asks.
"I'm not going to let those creatures destroy our kingdom." Queen Catherine replies. "Hurry! We don't have much time left! I might be able to hold them on, but I don't know how long I can do it!"
The soldiers nod as they bring the crying infant out of the city, and the Queen turns back to the battlefield and she continues to battle the dark energy.

Ever since that battle, nobody has seen the Princess or the Queen, magical creatures, as well as the Dark Pokemon, are taking over the kingdom for themselves. However, the princess is living in Peasant Village, during these years, she has been waiting for a moment to bring back the glory of her Fantasy Kingdom.
At the same time, there is a boy named Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town, he is also an heir to the Rota Kingdom. It is after the World Tournament that Queen Ilene suffered cancer and passed away, giving the throne to the next in line, which is Delia Ketchum, her sister. Because of it, Ash has become a prince, and he is also training to be an aura guardian with the help of guards and teachers there.
"You called me, mother?" Ash asks while bowing at Delia.
"Ash, I'm glad you have come. How is the training going?" Delia asks.
"I think I might be able to master the aura, and with Arceus' help, my Pokemon are becoming stronger as well." Ash says.
Delia nods and she says, "This morning, a Corviknight arrives with a letter. It is from a person who called himself a Grand Wizard. Surely you haven't met this person before, right?"
"I don't think so, mother." Ash says. "But what does the letter say?"
"The Fantasy Kingdom has been plagued by Dark Pokemon for years, they need a hero who can help the Princess take back the kingdom from the evil rising there." Delia says. "And I think the hero is going to be you."
"I have never heard of the Fantasy Region, but it would be nice to check out the place. So my job is to protect the princess?" Ash asks.
"I think that's what the letter says." Delia says, "Now please be careful and come back safely."
"I will, Mother." Ash bows as he leaves with Pikachu following him. The truth is, Ash has been wanting to travel again after staying at the kingdom while learning aura all this time, and this is an opportunity for him and he doesn't want to let go of it.
At the same time, Princess Alice is now 16 years old, which is the same as Ash. Ever since she went sent away from her home, she is now living with the Grand Wizard, learning the basics of the aura. She has been hanging around with the people in the town, but she is forbidden to go out of town until 16 years old, which is right now.
Alice is now standing in front of a wizard, who says, "Hi there! I'm Kwame from the Wizard's Tower! Princess Alice, I've heard of your arrival, look behind you. Pick your Starter Pokemon."
Alice sighs and says, "Just call me Alice. What kind of princess I am if the kingdom is still a mess?"
Alice recently learns about her title as a princess after her 16th birthday, and she is worried about her mother as she can't wait to go back to Rosemary City and find her. She looks at the Starter Pokemon, there is the Grass Type from Alola: Rowlet, the Fire Type from Kalos: Fennekin, and the Water Type from Unova: Oshawott. During her stay, Alice is fond of Steel and Ghost Type Pokemon, so she decides to pick Rowlet as her starter.
Kwame says, "Good choice! I'm sure this Pokémon will be an excellent companion on your travels!"
Alice says, "Why thank you."
"Now, the Grand Wizard has instructed me to tell you to meet him at the top of the Wizard's Tower. You should head there right now."
Alice nods as she heads to the Wizard Tower, but just as she is about to step into the wizard's room, a boy arrives and says, "Hi! My name is Rick and I am here to absolutely see the Grand Wizard! He will be so impressed by my undeniable skills!"
"My name is Alice, and I'm here to see the Grand Wizard too." Alice says with a polite tone, and Rowlet just greets the boy in the same way.
"You don't look very capable of training Pokémon! I am going to defeat you in battle! En grade!" Rick mocks.
"Excuse me?" Alice feels a little offended as Rick sends out a Fennekin, Alice has Rowlet out for battle, and she knows really well that she has the type disadvantage.
"Use Tail Whip and then Scratch!" Rick commands, and Alice yells, "Dodge the attack!"
Rowlet dodges before the fox Pokemon can scratch him. Then Alice yells, "Use Tackle now!"
Rowlet quickly hits Fennekin, causing it to be sent backward. And then both of them are tackling and scratching at the same time, considering they are low level and untrained to have new moves.
When they are battling, Ash and Pikachu also arrive at the tower as they see the battle. He notices the white-haired girl and he thinks, "So that must be the princess."
"Finish it with another Tackle!" Alice commands, and Rowlet hits Fennekin and causing it to faint.
"This is a fix!" Rick yells. " I guess that wizard freak in the village gave you an overpowered Pokémon! It should so be banned! Whatever! Who wants to impress these stupid wizards anyway?"
"Do not say anything bad things to the wizard. Leave now." Alice says in a cold tone, but Rick just shrugs and leaves with Fennekin following him. Alice mutters, "Just great..."
"I must say that is a nice battle." Alice notices Ash and says, "Are you perhaps to see the wizard as well?"
"That's right. I should introduce myself, I am Ash Ketchum, and this is my buddy Pikachu." Ash says, and Pikachu waves his paw at the girl.
"I'm Alice, and this is my partner Rowlet." Alice says. "The wizard is in this room, how about we go together?"
"That's fine by me." Ash says as they all enter the room. Ash and Pikachu notice the Grand Wizard, he is wearing a brown colored robe and a hat, he notices Alice and says, "I see you're back soon."
"Yeah, and this is Ash Ketchum, he said that he is going to meet you." Alice says.
"Ash Ketchum, prince of the Rota Kingdom?" The Grand Wizard says, "I heard of your arrival here in the Kingdom. I am the Grand Wizard of the Wizard's Tower."
Alice is surprised that Ash is a prince, even though he is from a faraway kingdom. Ash bows and says, "I've gotten your message, and that's why I'm here to protect the princess while saving this kingdom."
"Grand Wizard? You asked for help from outside the kingdom?" Alice is now furious a little. "I don't need any help! I could save the region myself!"
"Do you really think you can do this all alone?" The Grand Wizard asks in a stern tone, causing her to flinch. "I trust your abilities. However, even an elephant can't take on thousands of ants at the same time, that's why I have asked for help. You can trust Ash Ketchum, he is well-known outside of this Fantasy Kingdom for stopping evils."
"You are flattered." Ash says. "Princess Alice, you don't need to worry, I will do my best to help you."
"Just call me Alice. I don't like anyone calling me princess." Alice says.
"Then you can just call me Ash as well." Ash says. "I also don't like anyone calling me a prince as well."
When Alice looks closer at Ash, she feels that Ash is quite handsome. But she shakes off her fangirl thoughts and she says, "Okay, Ash, you can come with me."
The Grand Wizard smiles and says, "It is decreed by the Wizard's Code that all youths must be given the right tools to support them on their safe travels. So, I will give you a Starter Pack!"
The Grand Wizard gives them a Dex Orb and a Town Map. Ash looks at the orb and he says, "So this is what the Pokedex looks like in this region..."
"These will allow you to grow stronger. Get to know the areas around Peasant Village at a decent pace. However, I did hear a fascinating tale about the Dragonslayer visiting Sage City, to the east. If I was a young adventurer like you, I would make my way there." The Grand Wizard says.
"So we're meeting this Dragonslayer. Interesting." Alice says. "Let's go, Ash. Time is running short and I need to save my kingdom."
"Of course." Ash says, also finding it cute for the princess, even though she doesn't seem to look like it.
At the Wizard's Tower, Alice thinks that she might need to get to know about the boy in front of her. She says, "So Ash, how long have you been a Pokemon Trainer?"
"I have been a Pokemon Trainer for 7 years. I started my journey when I was 10." Ash says.
"So your kingdom allows you to start your journey at 10...I'm envious. And what does the wizard mean that you're known for stopping evils?" Alice continues to ask.
"You see, I have been traveling since I was 10, and in every region that I've gone to, there will be an evil organization who tried to do bad things. I can't tolerate anybody hurting Pokemon, that's why I decided to stop them."
"I see." Alice says. "I am not sure what the evil is in this region, all this time I've been staying at the Wizard's Tower training how to use aura."
"That is a good thing, aura helps you learn Pokemon better." Ash says. "And become stronger as well."
"So I guess you are able to learn aura as well?" Alice asks.
"Of course I can." Ash says as they are now in the grass. "Since the wizard gave you Pokeballs, do you want to capture some Pokemon? According to the Pokedex, we can find Rookidee, Hattena, and Bidoof in the grass."
"I prefer using Steel and Ghost Types, so I don't mind I have a Rookidee in my team." Alice says. "But I have never captured a Pokemon before."
"Don't worry, I can teach you how to do it." Ash says as he teaches Alice to capture Pokemon. Once the teaching is done, Alice manages to capture her first partner besides Rowlet.
"I did it." Alice says as she looks at Rookidee's Pokeball. Ash smiles, "Capturing Pokemon is easy, now we're done here, let's go to Sage City to meet the Dragonslayer."
"Of course." Alice nods as they leave the Wizard's Tower.
This is Ash's Fantasy Story, the pairing of the story is still going to be Ash and Alice. Pokemon Fantasy is also a game that I played before and I really like the story. This game contains Pokemon from Gen 1 to Crown Tundra, and I hope you like this chapter. The next chapter is going to talk about Ash's Pokemon in this region.
