Chapter 2

Before heading to Sage City, Ash and Alice are going west to the Dark Forest North, Alice asks, "So Ash, what kind of Pokemon do you have in your team?"

Ash says, "Besides my Pikachu, I have brought 18 Pokemon with me. I brought Zoroark, Lucario, Corviknight, Naganadel, Krookodile, Lycanroc, Heracross, Gengar, Melmetal, Charizard, Greninja, Sceptile, Rapidash, Glalie, Garchomp, Umbreon, and Aromatisse. I have more of them, but they are back in my home kingdom."

"I guess you really have a Pokemon for each type. That's interesting." Alice says. "Maybe you're really strong. I really wished I would be like you..."

"By the way, according to the Grand Wizard, you have been living in Peasant Village in your whole life. Do you have any other family members?" Ash asks.

Alice shakes her head and says, "According to the Grand Wizard, I am the only child. My father died during the war and my mother for some reason refuses to see me. I have some friends in Peasant Town, but all of them left to travel the world when they were 10 years old. I could've become just like them, but the Grand Wizard wants me to learn how to use aura."

"I see...that sound quite sad." Ash says, "My father died because of Team Rocket, an evil organization in our own hometown, and my Mom just become the queen a year ago."

"So you just become a prince for a year, that is better than me, who become a princess for a few days." Alice mutters.

The Pokemon in Dark Forest North are Bidoof, Rookidee, Spinarak, Ekans, Impidimp, and Zorua. None of the Pokemon catch Alice's eyes, but when she notices the Zorua, she turns to Ash and asks, "Where did you get your Zoroark? From what the Pokedex has said, Zorua should've been grey, but yours is white..."

"This is actually an ancient form of Zoroark from the ancient Sinnoh Region known as Hisui." Ash says. "With its disheveled white fur, it looks like an embodiment of death. Heedless of its own safety, Zoroark attacks its nemeses with bitter energy so intense that it lacerates Zoroark's own body. It is a Normal and Ghost Type. Let's say that I've traveled through time to the past and Zoroark is one of the Pokemon that follow me back from the past."

"So I can only get this one from the past...damn it. I really like this one better." Alice mutters.

"Why do you like Steel and Ghost Types?" Ash asks.

"To me, Steel and Ghost Types are like sun and moon, and I really like to play with Grandmaster's Ghost and Steel Types." Alice says.

"I see." Ash nods. "Since we have nothing to do here, how about we go to Sage City right now? We don't want to miss the meeting."

Alice nods as they head back to Peasant Town and quickly go to Sage City. On the way, they arrive at a place known as Windmill Fields. The grass is yellow, and there are a lot of windmills around the area. In the grass, the Pokemon located here are Bidoof, Rookidee, Skiddo, Wooloo, Mareep, and Cutiefly.

"Look at all the windmill spinning, Pikachu." Ash says. "Isn't that amazing?"

Pikachu nods in agreement, but Alice asks, "Didn't you have any windmills back in Kanto?"

"Well, there aren't a few of them." Ash says as he notices the face Alice is making, "Aren't you excited to see things that you've not seen before?"

"Maybe after Sage City, I have seen these for my life." Alice says. "I just hope that I can see what Rosemary City looks like and if my mother is fine."

"I'm sure that your mother will be fine." Ash says, "You have to believe it."

"I guess you're right about that." Alice says, with a slight blush at how Ash is cheering her up. When she is little, she always dreams of meeting a prince. But he never thought that she will be meeting one just after she is going to save her mother from evil.

"Alice, what are you thinking about now?" Ash asks.

"Nothing. Sage City is up ahead, let's just go." Alice says.

"Of course." Ash says as they quickly head to Sage City. They might have some villagers who want to battle them on the way, but Ash and Alice manage to defeat them, mostly Alice because Ash wants her Pokemon to become stronger.

After arriving at Sage City, they find a villager who yells at them. "Visitors! Please! Come into the square!"

Ash and Alice are confused as they follow the villager to the square, and they find a man in a Dragon Tamer outfit wounded with people helping him.

"Oh, mighty Dragonslayer! Are you okay?" The villager asks.

"'Tis but a scratch! I shall be fine! But I have never seen energy like that before. That was truly... dark!" The Dragonslayer says.

"So you did not manage to defeat the vicious Dragon-type beast atop Mt. Boon?" Another villager asks.

"Alas, sadly not, oh villager! Every time I tried to knock it out, the dark force surrounding it protected it." The Dragonslayer sighs.

"So we are doomed! We must live in fear, alongside the traitor!" The villager starts to panic.

"What is this all about?" Alice asks, and the Dragonslayer notices the Dex Orb by the girl's side.

"The mystic hue of the Dex Orb is undeniable! Princess, forgive me for not recognizing you." The Dragonslayer bows.

And the other villagers realize that the princess is here as they also bow to her. Alice panics a little since she can't believe that outside of the region, people are treating her like royalty.

Ash says, "Alice, don't panic, just do what you must do."

Alice nods and says, "So the problem is the Dragon-type Pokemon atop of Mt. Boon, right?"

Dragonslayer says, "Yes, your highness, it is surrounded by dark energy."

Suddenly, Alice starts to have flashbacks about how her mother is trying to fend off the Pokemon with dark energy. Alice manages to get back to her senses and yells, "I'm familiar with the Grand Wizard, he is the last hope of the villagers of Sage City. Prince Ash and I will consult his advice, we won't let the Dragon Beast terrorize Mt. Boon for longer!"

Ash says, "Alice is right, we'll find a way to stop the beast from attacking the mountain and then the city!"

The villagers are confused as to who Ash is, and Alice says, "Don't worry, Ash here is the prince from the Rota Kingdom. Grand Wizard invites him to be my personal bodyguard so that we can stop the evil together."

"Personal bodyguard..." Ash thinks while giving a wry laugh, but the villagers are also welcoming Ash. Then Nurse Joy wearing sorceress clothes walk towards them and she says, "If that's the case, I have the power to heal all your Pokemon. Do you want me to do that?"

"Thank goodness." Alice says, but Ash is confused, Nurse Joy is here, but where is the Pokemon Center? After giving her the Pokemon, she suddenly takes out a wand and says, "Here we go! Higgledy piggledy po!"

Just then, all of the Pokemon are fully healed with the magic powers, Ash and Pikachu can only watch in awe at the sight.

"Thank you, Sorceress Joy." Alice says.

"Good luck in your travels, Prince Ash and Princess Alice." Joy says as she leaves.

"Sorceress Joy, huh..." Ash says. "This region really is traditional..."

Then they all head back to Wizard's Tower as they decide to tell the Grand Wizard about the news.

"Sorry? A dark energy surrounding a Dragon-type Pokemon? Why, I was warned of this very thing not long ago!" The Grand Wizard replies.

"So do you have ao solution to this? I mean, the people seem to be in danger and we don't want them to get hurt." Ash says.

The Grand Wizard says nothing while leaving the room, Ash asks, "Did I say something wrong?"

"No, I think the Grand Wizard is trying to fetch something for us." Alice replies.

After the Grand Wizard returns to the room, he says, "I have the very solution for this issue. A potion. You only need to carry it with you, and the dark energy will be weakened. But of course, I can't hand this out to any old, or in case new, adventurers!"

"Why not?" Alice asks. "Then what do we need to do to get it?"

"You must prove that you have real potential! I ask for a battle with me. Then you will prove yourself worthy of this potion." The Grand Wizard says.

"Then I'll battle you." Ash says. "I'll show you why I'm the World Champion outside of this kingdom."

Grand Wizard says, "I have heard of it, however, what I want is Alice to battle me, not you."

"Why me?" Alice asks.

"There will be times when the Princess doesn't have the prince to help out. Ash might be capable of stopping the dark Pokemon, but what if you dragged him down and lost?" Grand Wizard says.

Alice and Ash are silent to this question, Alice says, "So all I need is to battle you, is that right?"

"Indeed." The Grand Wizard replies. "Are you ready to prove yourself worthy? You'll face the might of the Wizard's Tower!"

The first Pokemon for the Grand Wizard is a Mareep, Alice gulps as all of her two Pokemon are Flying Type, but Rowlet seems to have the advantage over Rookidee, and she goes for Shadow Sneak, however, Mareep has the ability Static and it causes Rowlet to get paralyzed.

"This is not good for Alice..." Ash mutters, and Pikachu is showing concern.

In the end, Rowlet goes for Leafage while Mareep goes for Thunder Shock, but Leafage overpowers Thunder Shock and defeats Mareep. The second Pokemon is Cutiefly, and Alice decides to switch to Rookidee for the type advantage. Rookidee goes for Hone Claws and then goes for the Peck attack, but it is sent back by Fairy Wind.

"Rookidee, use Fury Attack!" Rookidee manages to land a hit on Cutiefly, but Cutiefly recovers using Sitrus Berry, much to Alice's frustration. Then Cutiefly goes for Stun Spore, paralyzing Rookidee.

"I should've used Rowlet since it won't affect it..." Alice thinks, "No, I should calm down."

Then she commands Rookidee to use Power Trip and then Peck, eventually defeating the Cutiefly. The final Pokemon is Wooloo, it goes for Swagger to make Rookidee confused, and then defeating with Rollout.

Ash says, "So both Alice and the Grand Wizard have 1 Pokemon left..."

Alice has Rowlet out and goes for Leafage, while Wooloo keeps using Tackle and then Swagger, but after Rowlet snaps out of confusion, it goes for Peck and knocks the Wooloo out.

"An impressive feat indeed!" The Grand Wizard replies. "You have defeated me well, and so I bestow this unto you!"

Ash and Alice are given the Wizard's Potion, and Ash says, "So this will help the Pokemon free from the Dark energy..."

"I hope that I have placed my trust correctly. You have considerable potential. Maybe the both of you could be the ones to right the wrongs of the Kingdom."

"Not just "could". We WILL right the wrongs." Alice says in a proud tone.

"We have to go now, the Dragonslayer is waiting for us." Ash says as Alice nods as they all leave.

Here is a new chapter, Ash and Alice are starting to grow feelings for each other, and what is with the Dark energy and how would the Wizard's Potion save the Pokemon from this kind of energy? And what are the wrongs of the Kingdom? I hope you like this chapter.
