(Prologue)
Lancex was on blazing through space on his special hover board type craft. He looked like he had seen better days, as he had been through hell and back, but those battles had won him many of the weapons he now carried as well as some of the functions he now had though it had cost his things as well. His optics were different colors due to one having to be replaced. Both at one time had been able to see about 30 seconds into the future, but now just his right optic held that ability. He kept the optic covered much of the time because he didn't want to lose it or damage its ability especially while traveling through space. He thought personally that his gn drive wasn't much use and wasn't sure why he had been created with it, but he knew it was sensitive so he kept it covered and as well hidden as he could.
Anyway, as he was blazing along he, was suddenly blinded by a strange white light. It was so bright, he couldn't bare to gaze upon it. Soon though, it vanished and in its place stood Lancex's old friend, Slugbug. "Greetings, Lancex. I trust you are well" Slugbug suddenly stated.
"You never just show up for no reason, what is going on?" Lancex demanded to know, knowing his friend at least that well.
"You know me well, my friend. I expected nothing less. My reason for contacting you is that my twin, Kryptonight has indicated that there is a crisis going on and I was sent to get you to help" Slugbug replied.
"What's in it for me?" Lancex asked, as he was eager to earn more skills or weapons, as he never seemed to get what he really wanted.
"If you go, I can tell you that Primus will give you what you truly desire" Slugbug replied a bit cryptic in his response.
"And just what do you think that is?" Lancex, wanting to know exactly what this meant.
"Primus has let me know that you long to be loved and have a family of your own. That is your single biggest desire. The only way for you to receive that gift, Is for you to participate in one more war and help end it" Slugbug replied.
Lancex then knew Bug, as Slugbug often went by, was serious. Lancex had never told anyone about his truest desire. "Okay, I'll do it, but I will need help" Lancex said, still debating.
"Don't worry, My twin Kryptonight and I will help you as best as we can and are allowed" Slugbug responded. Only then did Lancex agree. Bug opened a warp and pushed Lancex through. Once through, Bug had vanished, but Lancex felt like he was being guided somewhere. Unwilling to ignore the call, Lancex followed the guidance. He just hoped he wasn't getting in over his head.
