Chapter 3
Ash and Alice are now back at Sage City, before heading to Mt. Boon, they decide to look around the area. There is a Name Rater, a Razz Berry Trader, and a villager who gives them an egg.
"Hey, I know this egg." Ash says as he looks at the pattern. "This is a Togepi egg!"
"A Togepi?" Alice asks. "It is a Fairy Type Pokemon that is filled with happiness in its shell, right?"
Ash says, "That's right, if you don't want it, I can have it." Then Ash puts the egg in his bag while they find a villager panicking about a gate with some sort of spell on it.
"These gates sprung up not long ago. I don't know how they got there, but we can't access Mystic Cave anymore!" The villager yells.
"Who in the right mind would set up a barrier like that?" Alice asks. "I really don't like this whole thing."
"Me neither." Ash replies. "But we have to get to the top of Mt. Boon, that's where the Dark Pokemon is located..."
When they head north to Mt. Boon, they find the path blocked by giant ice, Ash says, "Are you kidding me? There is also a giant barrier made of ice in front of us?"
"It seems like there is a letter on the ice...it says "N"...I wonder what that mean." Alice says. "I guess we have to go the grassy route, considering that we might encounter some Pokemon in the way."
On the way up, they find Spinarak, both Nidoran, Galarian Farfetch'd, Aron, and Axew. Alice says, "Now that's what I'm talking about. I'm going to capture an Aron."
"A Rock Type will help a Steel Type resist some Fire Type weakness, but it is four-times weak to Fighting and Ground." Ash says. "Then again, our main threat is a Dragon-Type."
Alice has Rowlet attack the Aron and weaken it, then capture the Pokemon in the end. After a while, they continue to climb the mountain and find some trainers trying to battle them. Once they finish battling, they find themselves behind the ice.
"So now we're on the other side of the ice. But the problem is how are we going to break it?" Alice asks.
"I don't know." Ash says as he accidentally touches the ice, and much to their surprise, the ice melts into a pile of water. "How? What?"
"I get it!" Alice says, "The "N" must mean north! After the long turn, we are now in the north of the ice, and that's why we can melt the ice since we are touching it from the north."
"That's good to know, now we don't need to worry about those ice blocks." Ash says.
As they reach the top, they find nothing as they are confused. "Strange, we're in a dead end, but there is no sign of the Evil Dragon Type Pokemon..." Alice says.
"Maybe the evil Dragon has left?" Ash asks. "If that's the case, maybe we're wasting some time here..."
Just then, Pikachu senses something and he yells, "Ash, Alice, watch out!"
Just then, a Dragon Pulse is charging at them, and they manage to jump from the attack. "What was that?" Alice asks.
Ash looks up and notices that the one attacking them is a Haxorus. "Something's not right with that Haxorus! It's surrounded by darkness..."
Alice notices the Haxorus and starts to have flashbacks of the fire in Rosemary City, she is trembling and she says, "No...no...no..."
Ash notices that Alice is trembling as he rushes towards her, and the Haxorus is charging for the Bite attack, until Ash yells, "Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu jumps in the way and slams its tail, knocking the Haxorus down to the ground. Ash asks, "Alice, please calm down. It is just a Pokemon in pain, we have to help him get rid of that dark aura."
"But how are we going to do it?" Alice asks.
"We fight." Ash says, "Alice, send out your Pokemon, we'll fight the Haxorus together."
Alice takes a breath and sends out Aron, hoping that the Steel Type resistance can help them. Haxorus roars as he sees two Pokemon ready to battle, and it goes for Dragon Dance.
"That's Dragon Dance!" Ash says, "It's powering up!"
"Not if I lower that speed again! Aron, Rock Tomb!" Alice says.
Aron goes for the Rock Type attack, it doesn't seem to do much damage, but it seems to lower the Dragon Pokemon's speed. Ash says, "Pikachu, return for now."
Pikachu returns to Ash as he takes out a Pokeball. "Okay, Aromatisse, I choose you."
Ash sends out the Fairy Type Pokemon and he commands, "Use Moonblast!"
Aromatisse goes for the super-effective Fairy move, it lands the hit on Haxorus, however, Ash is surprised that the Haxorus doesn't seem to take any damage.
"What?" Ash and Alice gasp in shock.
And then, a dark mist starts to surround them, forming a shield around the Haxorus. And a Bidoof nearby is affected by the dark mist as it goes for Headbutt on Aron.
"Where did that Bidoof come from?" Alice asks.
Ash notices the aura and says, "I think I got it. Like the Totem Pokemon in Alola, Haxorus must have called it for help. And like the Dynamax Pokemon. There is a shield forming around Haxorus. Unless we defeat the Bidoof, we can't land any attacks on the Haxorus."
"I hope your assumption is correct." Alice says as she has Aron use Metal Claw on Bidoof, dealing some damage, but the Haxorus, even though it can't be attacked, goes for Taunt.
"Damn it...that's Taunt, meaning I can only attack instead of using stat moves..." Ash says. "Aromatisse, use Energy Ball!"
Aromatisse shoots out the attack, immediately defeating the Bidoof with ease, and with Bidoof fainted, the shield forming around Haxorus is gone as it is now vulnerable to attacks.
"Now it's our chance." Ash says.
"Aron, use Metal Claw!" Alice yells, and Aron slashes the attack at Haxorus, but it doesn't seem to do that much damage.
"I guess that even the shield breaks, it doesn't hurt Haxorus to the extent that its Defenses are lowered..." Ash mutters. "Use Moonblast again!"
Aromatisse goes for the Moonblast attack, and it manages to land a hit on Haxorus. Once it takes to hit, Alice says, "It seems working..."
But Haxorus finds a Sitrus Berry and consumes it, recovering some health. Ash says, "I don't think that's going to recover much. Use Mooblast!"
Aromatisse goes for the attack once more, and after Haxorus is back to 50% of health, the dark mist appears once more, and this time a Fraxure is the one who helps the Pokemon out.
"Again? This is ridiculous..." Alice says.
"Not to mention Fraxure is stronger than a Bidoof..." Ash says as he notices the shield forming. "I guess we have to defeat that Fraxure as well."
Fraxure is trying to use Leer to lower their defenses, and then it goes for Iron Tail on Aron, causing a lot of damage. Alice says, "Aron, return for now."
She recalls Aron and sends out Rowlet, she says, "Rowlet, use Shadow Sneak!"
Rowlet decides to use the Ghost Type attack to do a lot of damage, and Ash says, "Nice, Alice. Now Aromatisse can handle this with Psychic."
Then the attack causes Fraxure to faint, meaning that Haxorus is vulnerable again. Alice says, "It works again."
"Now let's do this together. Aromatisse, use Energy Ball!" Ash says.
"Rowlet, use Razor Leaf!" Alice says.
Both Pokemon use Grass Type attacks on the Haxorus, dealing a lot of damage to make it into red health. Ash says, "Now we just need to do one more attack together."
"You're right. Let's do this." Alice says.
But their delight changes into horror as the dark mist appears for the third time, this time the one assisting is a Bibarel.
"Are you kidding me? Three times?" Ash asks. "Even the amount from the Dynamax is two!"
"I guess that might be the reason why the Dragonslayer can't handle the Dragon Type Beast...because of this mist and the fact that it keeps summoning Pokemon for help."
The Bibarel has the ability Moody, so it keeps switching its stats and it is not good for Ash and Alice. When Aromatisse goes for a Psychic attack, it just uses Endure to block the attack. And Haxorus goes for Bite and Scratch, hitting Rowlet and almost defeating it.
"Hang in there, Rowlet." Alice says.
"Don't worry, Aromatisse can help you. Use Heal Pulse!" Ash says.
Aromatisse uses the Heal Pulse to recover Rowlet's health, but Haxorus notices it and quickly goes for Taunt. "Not again..." Ash mutters.
And thanks to the healing, Rowlet goes for Razor Leaf and knocks out the Bibarel.
"Now the Bibarel is gone, we can finally deliver the final attack!" Ash says.
"Let's do this together!" Alice says.
"Moonblast/Shadow Sneak!" Ash and Alice yell.
Both attacks manage to land the Haxorus, causing an explosion as the Haxorus is finally down to the ground and fainted.
"So I guess we defeated the Haxorus?" Alice asks.
"I guess so." Ash says as he stares at the dark energy. "Alice! The Wizard's Potion!"
"Right." Alice says as she takes out the bottle, when she opens the bottle, it starts to suck the dark energy from the Haxorus. The impact is so strong that Alice is having a hard time standing, Ash quickly rushes behind and holds on to Alice so that the dark energy will be fully absorbed.
"That power is really strong..." Alice sighs after closing the potion's cap.
"Yeah..." Ash says.
Haxorus gets back up as he seems to be confused. "Where am I? What was going on?"
"You don't remember that you tried to attack us?" Ash asks.
"I don't..." Haxorus says, "I need to leave."
Then Haxorus leaves, much to Ash and Alice's confusion. At the same time, the Dragonslayer arrives and he yells, "Prince Ash and Princess Alice! I will help you defeat the..."
"Um...we've already dealt with the Dragon Type beast...it is back to normal and left." Ash says.
"Oh. You've already quelled the rage of the beast? And the dark energy has gone! I must send my apologies. It appears that I am a little too late. This means that you managed to battle the Haxorus all by yourselves! Congratulations are in order! But I have been saving people from Dragon-types for years, and I have never seen such a dark spirit. The question that still remains is why such evil was there in the first place?" The Dragonslayer says.
"I would want to know that as well, my mother must be suffering from the evil and I want to save her as much as I can." Alice says.
"You! You've ruined my plans!" Just then, they turn to see a man standing on the cliff with anger on his face. The Dragonslayer notices the man and gasps, "The Necromancer!"
"Yes! And I have planned on using this Haxorus to terrorize the people of Sage City to give me trinkets and money and so on."
Ash and Alice are angry after hearing what he said, and Dragonslayer says, "I should have known that you were behind such nefarious plans!"
"Indeed. And I will do it again as well! Unless... YOU! What are your names?" The Necromancer asks.
"Don't tell them, Ash and Alice..." Dragonslayer realizes his mistake as he covers his mouth, but it is too late, the Necromancer hears everything.
"Thank you! Ash and Alice! I challenge you two to a duel!" Necromancer says.
"A duel?" Ash asks.
"Yes! A duel! On my terms! In the deepest part of Toadstool Woods! Be there or I will possess another powerful Haxorus!" Necromancer yells as he leaves.
Dragonslayer says, "What a nasty piece of work! But, Ash and Alice! You took care of that Haxorus! I think we are already witnessing the growth of two true heroes! Go to Toadstool Woods. It is north of Peasant Village. Defeat the Necromancer, and I will take him away for good!"
"We will." Ash and Alice say as the Dragonslayer leaves, then the two of them also quickly rush back down from the top of Mt. Boon.
Here is another new chapter, as you can see, this is what the battles are going to be in the story, the Dark Pokemon, it is similar to Totem Pokemon and Dynamax Pokemon with a different twist. I hope you like this chapter and we're fighting the Necromancer in the next chapter.
