Confrontation with the Gremory Peerage.

The Chaldean team and the group that came out of the church were in a stalemate, ready to attack if it was necessary.

Seeing at how things could quickly go south if a fight broke out, Ritsuka decided to put himself in front of his Servants and give a simple order - "Lay down your weapons" -

The red haired girl was confused over this, even more so when the others did as he asked them to.

"Senpai, what are you…?" -

"I got this Mash, we don't need to fight" - Ritsuka said as he walked forwards towards the girl - "We have no intentions of hurting you, we just want to ask a few questions" -

"Answer mine first and then we can talk. Who are you, and what are you doing on my territory?" -

"My name is Ritsuka Eligos, and they are my Peerage. We came here to Kuoh in hopes of finding a place to live" -

The woman was surprised and, in shock, lowered her guard - "Eligos you say? That's impossible, the Eligos Clan has been extinct ever since the Great War" -

"Only to the public eye. My family lived in hiding ever since, avoiding involvement with the rest of the Demons to preserve the peace they obtained" -

"But, that shouldn't be…" -

"I answered your question, now it's your turn, who are you and what happened in there?" -

"... Right, my name is Rias Gremory, I am the heir to the Gremory Clan" -

"Thanks for the answer, now I need to know what was that scream in there" -

"We were dealing with a group of Fallen Angels that came to Kuoh and were in hiding. They tried to steal the Sacred Gear from Asia Argento, so we had to stop them" -

"And to do that, you had to kill them?" -

"It was necessary, they couldn't be allowed to live for any longer" -

"Is that so…" - despite not fully trusting her words, the boy could at least sense that she didn't meant any danger to them - "Thanks for your answers, we'll be taking our leave and…" -

"Hold on, before you leave" -

"What?" -

"If what you're saying it's true, then I'd wish to learn more about you and the history of your Clan. After all, finding the heir to a Clan that was supposedly dead for thousands of years isn't something that happens regularly. Would you care to discuss it over a cup of tea?" -

Rias took Ritsuka and the rest of his Peerage to Kuoh Academy and to the Occult Research Club's building, as she wanted to learn more about the Eligos Clan and this supposed lost heir. Once there and with a bit of tea, the two Kings sat down in front of each other, with their respective Peerages behind him.

"Very well Ritsuka, now that we're here, I'd like to ask you a couple of things about your family" -

"Sure, ask away" - the boy said, all the while thinking about what lies he could come up with.

"What is your family's ability? The records of the Eligos have been mostly lost to time and that information was lost with them" -

"Summoning magic. My parents taught it to me when I was a kid, although I'm not that good at it" -

"How did you meet your Peerage?" -

"Traveling across the world and investigating old locations that my parents marked on different maps" -

"How did you get your hands on Evil Pieces to turn them?" -

"They were my dad's, he never told me how he got them" -

"Out of all the cities to come to live in? Why Kuoh specifically?" -

"It's where my parents met. Mom had a dream of returning here to live with my dad but he never accepted, he wanted to remain hidden" -

"So your father was a Demon, and your mother a human… Alright, I just need one more thing of you, show me your wings" -

Out of all things, this was one of the ones Ritsuka wasn't prepared for, and he froze for a few seconds - "I… Can't" -

"What do you mean you can't?" -

"I don't have wings, I wasn't born with them…" -

"Is that so? Probably because of your mother, you inherited more human than Demon traits" -

"Is that all you wanted to know about me?" -

"Yes. You and your Peerage seem like an interesting group, and I want to know more about you. That's why, I have a proposition to make" -

"Tell me, what is it?" -

"A mutual benefit agreement. In exchange for a place to live here in Kuoh and a position as a student in Kuoh Academy for both yourself and your Peerage, you all will have to aid in the defense of Kuoh for as long as you stay here" -

"That sounds… Too good to be true" -

"Listen Ritsuka, normally I would have to inform my brother about the theft of the Evil Pieces that your father made, but I feel like a deal is more beneficial for both of us" -

"..." -

"What do you say then? Do you accept the deal?" -

The boy didn't like being put into such a position with Rias, but the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages and they wouldn't get a better deal otherwise.

"Alright then Rias, I accept the deal. We'll help you defend Kuoh" -

"Great then, I knew we'd come to an agreement. I'll let Sona know tomorrow about our deal, in the meantime I'll let you know where your new home is. Please join me" -

Ritsuka and the members of Chaldea, together with Rias, teleported inside her magic circle, ending up in front of a somewhat big house not too far away from Kuoh Academy.

"This belongs to my family, you can use it while you're here, feel free to treat it just like your own home" -

"Thanks Rias, this is very nice of you" -

"Well, it's the least I can do, since we're going to be working together from now on. I'll arrange your inscription on Kuoh Academy tomorrow together with Sona, are the members of your Peerage going to be joining you?" -

"Do any of you want to go to school?" - Ritsuka asked the girls that came with him, with Fujino and Mash being the ones who wanted to.

"Good. Now, onto the more important stuff, tomorrow I'll need you to stop by the Student Council's hall to discuss things with Sona, let her know you" -

"Sure, see you tomorrow Rias" -

"Goodbye Ritsuka" - with that, the redhead left in her magic circle again, not before giving Ritsuka the keys to the house.

The Chaldeans entered it, seeing that it was well kept, although rather empty, only having the essential. It had 3 bedrooms, a living room, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and a room for laundry, although only Ritsuka and Mash would make real use of it.

"I'm just going to say it straight up, I don't like that girl's attitude" - Vritra said as she sat on the couch of the living room - "Who does she think she is?" -

"I don't really like her attitude either, but right now it's best to make allies, not enemies. Besides, she could teach us a lot more about Demons and how this world works, so it's best to keep her around" -

"I'm a bit surprised at how quick you came up with all those lies when talking to her Senpai, have you been practicing?" - BB asked while leaning over his shoulder.

"I practiced a few on our way to Kuoh Academy, needed to cover up some stuff she could ask me, although I ended up making up most of those on the flight. Oh, that reminds me…" -

Ritsuka then used his communicator to connect to Chaldea - "Da Vinci, it's me, Ritsuka, are you there?" -

"Wow, that was fast. Hello there Ritsuka, how are things going? Have you settled in already?" -

"Yeah, and we got to know one of the Demons that protects Kuoh, a woman named Rias Gremory" -

"Really? Are you going for new conquests already Ritsuka?" -

"Not that, we made a deal to work together, she gave us a place to stay in exchange for helping her defend Kuoh" -

"Oh, so she bought the trick that you were Demons like her? Our plan worked to perfection, I'll let the others know as soon as this call's over" -

"What's next to do then?" -

"For the moment? Do what you were sent to do, investigate, learn more about the world and how it works, the different creatures that live in it with humanity, whether they're a threat or not, everything that can be useful, then rely it back to me" -

"Understood, will do. We're going to sleep for the moment, good night Da Vinci" -

"Sleep well Ritsuka, same for everyone else" -
