"The Owl House: The Question."
ME: It was a peaceful morning at Blight Manor. Amity was in her room, sleeping. That is, until she started to hear her mother yelling.
AMITY: Mmm…M-Mom?
ODALIA: AMITY, GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE!
AMITY: Ugh! I'm coming! Geez, talk about a wakeup call.
ME: In the living room, Odalia was sitting on the sofa with her arms folded. Amity comes into the living room and sits next to her.
AMITY: Yes?
ODALIA: Why the Titan are you STILL with that human?!
AMITY: Ugh, Mom, Luz is my girlfriend, OK? Get used to it.
ODALIA: I will NOT let you date someone who is a wanted criminal.
AMITY: Stop controlling my life!
ODALIA: Stop disappointing mine, Mittens.
ME: Amity stands up and puts her hands on her hips.
AMITY: You know what, Odalia? I'm gonna take a walk.
ODALIA: Before you go, Mittens, you should know that Luz is a bad influence on you.
ME: Amity stops walking and turns to Odalia.
AMITY: SHE'S the bad influence?! *scoffs* Oh, that's rich. Who was the one who made me lose my friendship with Willow? Who was the one who nearly killed my awesome girlfriend with her stupid Abomaton invention? And WHO was the one who basically controlled my entire LIFE?! *chuckles* Oh, that's right…YOU.
ODALIA: You know what? I have no daughter.
AMITY: Good. It's not like you're good at raising one, anyway.
ODALIA: Oh, and one more thing.
AMITY: *scoffs* What now, Odalia?
ODALIA: Change your hair back!
AMITY: I hope Belos kills you when the Day of Unity comes.
ME: And so, Amity leaves. Meanwhile at the Owl House, Luz was sitting on the sofa, writing in a purple-colored (like amity's hair) journal. On the first page, at the bottom right corner, there was an anime-style drawing of her and Amity holding hands after asking each other out.
LUZ: Dear Journal, can I just tell you how much I LOOOVE my awesome girlfriend? Haha! Well, I do. I really, REALLY do! Anyways, today I am planning on asking her something that is super-duper important. Do you think she'll be okay with it? I mean, even though she and her mother aren't exactly…on the best terms, so to speak, Odalia is still part of her family. Not the good part, but still. *sigh* Anyways, I don't wanna put any pressure on her. Well, wish me luck! Love, Luzura.
ME: Eda walks into the living room in her pajamas. In her right hand, she's holding her "30 & Flirty" coffee mug.
EDA: Ah, writing some juicy secrets in that thing?
LUZ: Uh, kind of. Hey, Eda? Can I…ask you something important?
ME: Eda sits on the sofa next to Luz and sets her mug on the coffee table.
EDA: Sure, kiddo.
LUZ: *sighs* Okay, so I've been thinking, and I wanna ask Amity something that can possibly be…risky.
EDA: And?
LUZ: Do you think I should ask her?
EDA: Well, that depends?
LUZ: On what?
EDA: What do you wanna ask her?
ME: Luz comes up to Eda's left ear and whispers into it.
EDA: Oh…I see.
LUZ: Is…would it be wrong of me to do that?
EDA: You know what, Luz? I think she would be very flattered.
LUZ: *blushes* Thanks.
EDA: And I have an idea!
LUZ: What is it?
EDA: Take your girlfriend out on a date and then, by the end of it, ask her.
LUZ: *gasps* That's a GREAT idea!
AMITY: What's a great idea?
ME: Luz turns to see Amity standing in the doorway. Amity walks over to her and Eda.
AMITY: Uh, what's up? Th-That's a thing that you humans say in the Human Realm, right? "What's up"?
LUZ: Yeah, it is. Also, I was wondering if….
AMITY: Yes?
LUZ: Amity, do you wanna go out with me?
AMITY: Oh! Uh, sorry, but no. D-Don't get me wrong! I would LOVE to go out with my sweet potato, but…I'm afraid.
EDA: *scoffs* Afraid? *snorts* About what?
AMITY: Odalia. She was getting on my case earlier about us being together. I-I don't want a repeat of that.
LUZ: Oh, don't listen to that skunk. You and I are gonna have the best day of our lives! Now LET'S GO!
ME: Luz quickly runs outside.
AMITY: Eda, do you think Luz is right about this?
EDA: I don't know, but if we know anything about that girl, it's that nothing can get in her way when it comes to love.
AMITY: *blushes and chuckles* Okay, okay. *sighs* I hope you're right.
EDA: I'm always right, kid. Now go have fun with your human!
ME: Amity leaves and runs after Luz. Later on, the two arrive at the Bonesborough Public Library.
LUZ: So, wanna read The Good Witch Azura?
AMITY: *giggles* You know I do, Noceda.
ME: Amity takes Luz to her secret library room so they can read The Good Witch Azura. Luz was sitting on a dark purple bean bag, and next to her, Amity was sitting on a dark green one.
LUZ: "Do NOT underestimate me, Gilder Snake. For I am The Good Witch Azura: Warrior of Peace. NOW EAT THIS, SUCKAH!"
AMITY: *laughs* Luz, shhh.
LUZ: *whispering* Oh, right. *chuckles* Sorry.
AMITY: *sighs* I love this.
LUZ: Me too, Blight. Me too.
AMITY: So, what do you wanna do now?
LUZ: How about a nice walk along the beach?
ME: Outside the library, Amity pulls out her Palisman, Ghost.
AMITY: Ready?
LUZ: Absolutely.
ME: Luz gets on Ghost and wraps her arms around Amity's waist. She smiles and blushes as she gently touches Amity's back with her forehead. Amity looks at Luz and gives her a soft smile. And then they flew off.
Meanwhile, Odalia, who was at her house, was in the basement, using a magnifying glass to see a pink crystal she was tinkering with. She was holding a nail in her right hand, and a hammer in her left one. Alador, on the other hand, was trying to get Abomination goo off of his right hand, which was stuck to the counter.
ALADOR: Odalia, what are you doing?
ODALIA: I'm making a new necklace for Amity?
ALADOR: Um, that didn't exactly work out the last time.
ODALIA: *scoffs* Well, it's going to work this time. See, Mittens won't hear my voice. Instead, I'll be hearing whatever she says.
ALADOR: So, you're…eavesdropping?
ODALIA: I'm doing what is best for our daughter, Alador. Now if you don't mind, I'm kind of busy at the moment.
ME: Speaking of Amity, she and Luz were at the beach. Amity lays her head on Luz's left shoulder as Luz puts her left arm around her.
LUZ: Hey, Amity?
AMITY: Yes, Luz?
LUZ: Do you ever think that…we'll always be together?
AMITY: What do you mean?
LUZ: I mean…we both know that I'll have to go home at some point, so…I'm just…not so sure, I guess. You know?
AMITY: Luz, I don't know what's gonna happen once the Day of Unity happens. Or even after the Day of Unity happens! *sighs* But what I DO know is that you are the strongest human I have ever met. I'm sure you and I will figure things out. Also, do you ever think that there might be a possibility of us going to the Human Realm…together?
LUZ: *blushes* Uh, I…I hope so. *chuckles nervously*
AMITY: Hey, what's this?
ME: Amity sees the necklace that Odalia made.
LUZ: This looks like your old necklace. Try it on.
ME: Amity takes off her necklace and puts it in Luz's hands. Then she puts on the crystal one.
AMITY: Hmm, no Odalia.
LUZ: Sweet!
AMITY: Hey, Luz?
LUZ: Yeah, Amity?
AMITY: I lo-
ME: Suddenly, the two heard the bushes behind them rattle, so they turned to see someone walk through them.
ODALIA: Amity Blight!
AMITY: Mom?
LUZ: Uh, what are you doing here?
ODALIA: You are NEVER going to that Human Realm with your delinquent girlfriend!
AMITY: How did you-
ODALIA: Your new necklace.
AMITY: *gasps*
ODALIA: I will not tolerate this. Now come home, Mittens. If you behave, I'll only ground you for a week. If you don't, then I'll ground you for a year.
AMITY: NO.
ODALIA: Are you trying to disappoint your mother?
AMITY: You are NOT my mother, Odalia. You are just some witch who raised me to be a terrible person to the ones I love…like Luz.
LUZ: *blushes*
AMITY: That's right, I love Luz Noceda! And there is NOTHING that is ever going to change that! You got that, Odalia?
ME: Odalia raises her right hand and SLAPS Amity across the face.
LUZ: *gasps* HEY! What the heck, woman?!
ODALIA: Mittens, you are grounded forever. Oh, and I WILL hit you again if you talk back to me once more. Capische?
AMITY: *nods* Yes, Mom.
ODALIA: You know what? I'll let you continue your date with Luz. But when you come home, I will make sure you never see her again.
ME: Odalia walks away.
LUZ: Amity, I'm so-
AMITY: This is all YOUR fault!
LUZ: M-My fault?! How?! I mean, I wasn't the one who slapped you or anything!
AMITY: I didn't even want to go on this stupid date in the first place! I was afraid that Odalia was gonna ruin it and look what JUST happened! Why do you ruin everything?
ME: And then Amity runs off. Luz runs after her.
LUZ: Amity, wait! Please stop!
ME: Later that night, Luz was back at the Owl House. Luz was in her room as Eda was in there with her, sitting on her sleeping bag.
LUZ: So that's what happened. *sighs* Stupid Amity. Stupid Odalia.
EDA: Well, I agree with you there. But Luz, I don't think Amity really meant what she said.
LUZ: Then why didn't we just talk it out?
EDA: Well, her mother did slap her in the face.
LUZ: Yeah, that's true. Oh…I hope she forgives me.
EDA: Why don't you go find out?
LUZ: No, I shouldn't. Odalia-
EDA: Odalia can drown in the Boiling Sea for all I care. But Boots? She loves you with all her heart.
LUZ: *blushes* I love her, too. *sighs* You know what? I'm gonna go talk to my awesome girlfriend!
EDA: Do you want me to fly you over to her house?
LUZ: *nods* Yes, ma'am!
ME: And Eda did just that.
At Blight Manor, Luz knocks on the doors. After a minute or so, they opened up.
ED & EM: Hey, Luz!
LUZ: Hi, guys. Uh, is Amity here?
ME: Emira bends down a little so she can whisper into Luz's left ear.
EMIRA: *whispering* Don't tell Odalia this, but…she snuck out.
LUZ: *whispering* Well, do you know where she went?
EDRIC: *whispering* She went to the beach.
LUZ: Thanks, guys.
ME: And so, Eda flew Luz over to the beach.
EDA: Alright, kid, good luck.
ME: Eda flies off.
LUZ: Uh, Amity?
AMITY: Oh…hey, Luz.
ME: Luz sits next to Amity. The two look at each other for a second but then quickly turn away.
LUZ & AMITY: I'm sorry. Oh! Uh, you first. No, no, I insist. Just go! *laugh*
AMITY: Well, that was weird.
LUZ: *laughs* Yeah, super weird.
AMITY: *sighs* Luz, I'm so sorry about earlier. I-I guess I was just so sick of Odalia, that I took it out on you. But you know what? That's not an excuse. You didn't ruin anything. In fact, I actually had a wonderful time with you! Well, until you-know-who showed up.
LUZ: *blushes* You…you did?
AMITY: *blushes* Mm-hmm.
LUZ: Amity…can I ask you something?
AMITY: Sure, what is it?
ME: Luz gives Amity her journal. Amity opens it up.
AMITY: Dear Journal, can I just tell you how much I LOOOVE my awesome girlfriend? Haha! Well, I do. I really, REALLY do! Anyways, I'm planning on asking her something super-duper important.
LUZ: Uh, Amity?
AMITY: Yeah?
LUZ: When I go back home, would you like to come with me?
AMITY: *blushes* I-I don't know what to say.
LUZ: I-I felt scared about asking because I know you have your family and…and I guess I just didn't want to take that away from you.
AMITY: Oh, Luz.
ME: Amity puts her hands on Luz's cheeks and kisses her on the lips.
LUZ: Ay, Dios Mio!
AMITY: *blushes* Yes, Luz. My answer will ALWAYS be yes.
ME: The two hug each other as they blush.
LUZ: Oh, sweet potato! You're the best witch girlfriend in the Boiling Isles!
AMITY: *giggles* Thanks, Luz.
ME: Once the two stopped hugging each other, they look into each other's eyes and clasp their hands together.
AMITY: So, what's it like?
LUZ: In the Human Realm?
AMITY: *nods*
LUZ: Well, there are grocery stores, hospitals, other human houses, parks, pools, beaches, restaurants, and many more.
AMITY: What's a hospital? And what's a restaurant?
LUZ: Well, a hospital is a place that you go to if you're sick and/or in danger. And a restaurant is a place you can go to for some nice food.
AMITY: Do…people go there for dates?
LUZ: Yeah, why?
ME: Luz sees Amity give her a soft smile. And then Amity blushes.
LUZ: Ohhh, I get it.
AMITY: When we're there, can we have that special date?
LUZ: *chuckles* Sure, sweet potato.
ME: Luz wraps her left arm around Amity. Amity rests her head on Luz's right shoulder as she and Luz look at the stars in the sky.
