Today's theme is "Double Date".
As Yang looked at herself in the mirror she couldn't help but notice how nervous she was. She still looked good, because of course she did, but there was an underlying feeling of anxiety that permeated her entire being. Yang did her best to hide it, but it was still noticeable to her, and that meant it would be noticeable to Jaune and that was the last thing she wanted. This was an important step in their relationship, and she did not want to mess it up. All she needed to do was think about this as a normal date. She's been on plenty of those before, she just needed to ignore the fact that she would also be meeting a family member of Jaune's for the first time.
Jaune's older sister Saphron was visiting, along with her wife, and for some stupid reason Yang suggested that they should go on a double date with them. It would be a way for them to have some of their usual fun together on a friday night while also getting to know his family and allow them to have a fun night out together as well. It was a perfect idea, in crazy land. She couldn't believe she was so dumb, because now she was way too stressed for a friday night.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Yang jumped. When she settled down she paused for a second, thinking to herself. She shouldn't be like this. She was the great and beautiful Yang Xiao Long goddamnit. There was no reason to be afraid. There was no way that Jaune's sister wouldn't love her, because she was awesome and Jaune loved her and that's all that mattered. She was gonna go out there, she was gonna have a good time with her boyfriend and she was gonna impress the hell out of his sister and her wife.
With her head held high and a confident stride she walked over to the door and opened it to see Jaune. And right as she opened her mouth she noticed that next to him was Saphron and her wife. Immediately her mouth closed and her eyes went wide in surprise. This was unexpected. Yang thought they weren't meeting Saphron and Terra until they got to the restaurant. As she was thinking this Jaune introduced them to each other and Yang gave her best greeting to the two before asking Jaune why they were here in the nicest way she could think of. Apparently he thought it would be nice to show them around the school before their double date. Yang did her best to make it seem that she thought this was a great idea that would give them more time to get to know each other, and that it not at all suddenly killed her confidence like a beowulf getting its skull caved in.
Yang could still save this though, she just had to remember that she was awesome and there was no reason for them not to love her. As long as she kept repeating that to herself in her head everything would be fine. Not letting her nerves get to her she simply asked how they enjoyed the tour, and they said it was nice. The school looked great, and they got why Jaune kept gushing about it so much in his messages. Saphron then told her that Jaune's description of her didn't do her justice because she was more beautiful than words could describe. This brought an uncontrollable blush upon her, and Yang just said thank you and that both of them looked amazing too. Terra then chimed in that they saw the very impressive gym facilities Beacon had, and that Yang must use them a lot because just looking at her Terra could tell she had a wonderfully toned figure. Somehow Yang's blush got even more intense after that. Thankfully Jaune saved her from trying to come up with an actual response by saying they should get going if they want to get to the restaurant on time for their reservation.
After that things went relatively smoothe. The food was good, and she had a great time talking to Saphron and Terra. Terra was incredibly nice and just all around pleasant, and Saphron had a wicked sense of humor that really helped Yang connect with her. Yang shared stories about how they got together, and what their time at Beacon was like, along with telling them about some of the more funny situations her dork of a boyfriend got himself into from time to time. Meanwhile Saphron told her stories about what their home was like growing up, what being married to Terra was like, and a few embarrassing childhood stories involving Jaune. By the end of it Jaune was blushing harder than Yang was back at the dorms.
Eventually they parted ways. Saphron and Terra going back to their hotel, and Jaune and Yang heading to the port to catch a bullhead back to Beacon. Not before Yang set up a time to meet with Saphron and Terra tomorrow to show them around the city however. As Yang and Jaune sat inside the bullhead, Yang leaning her head against Jaune's shoulder he asked her what she thought of Saphron. Yang turned to him and gave him a sly grin.
"She was great, I can't wait to maybe call her my sister too someday."
