(Takes place between "The Crossroads Of Destiny" and "The Awakening"

The next morning, I leave my tent to see basically everyone else sitting around the camp fire eating breakfast, well almost everyone 2 people missing to be exact, well 1 really….. Aang probably wasn't going to be joining us anytime soon. No but the one really missing was Katara
"Good morning everyone, where is Katara at?" I ask Sokka and Toph I believe her name is.
"She hasn't left the tent since last night, I could even hear her sobbing inside asking stuff like 'why can't I heal you' and please 'come back' all night long" one of my soldiers chimes in
I'm shocked, could she really have just stayed there all night? "Mabye I should go check on her?" I say as I start to walk towards the tent
"No, don't!" I hear Toph yell out
"Yeah dad, no offense but, it would probably be better for me or Toph to go and check on her" Sokka adds
I think for a moment. Well after all they have all been together for the better part of 7 months so maybe it's for the best "Ok here take her some breakfast, and Aang to if he is able to eat" I say while handling them some food as they both go towards the tent
For the next 10 minutes I sit there in silence thinking about the last 2 years of my life away from my family and how in less then a year my son and daughter had accomplished more then me in my entire life, I really have missed so much
"She said that Aang is stable right now, but still unconscious" Sokka says
"Yeah she was asleep when we got in there" Toph says
Ok so I guess she is fine mabye she is just struggling wit- wait a minute sleeping? B-b- but "but there's only one bed in there?"
I see both Sokka's and Toph's eyes widen at that statement "Umm……. She was curled up on the ground next to him" Sokka says while glancing back at the tent.
Ok maybe I was just assuming, "Oh ok then, well then I guess let's just talk about what we are going to do about Aang, we can't just stay here, and our Water Tribe boats aren't exactly the most subtle" I ask the two
Sokka thinks for a moment "I got it, we'll join the Fire Nation"
"What!?" Everyone responds "We can't just join the Fire Nation"
"We don't need to switch sides…… we just need to switch boats" Sokka retorts
That's actually not a bad plan, it's so stupid it might work…. You know what I'm gonna go with Sokka on this one "you know what son, let's do it…. Go tell Katara that we will be capturing a Fire nation ship Tonight, we will need her help"
"Sure thing dad, this will be GREAT!" Sokka says while him and Toph walk back to Katara's tent
But as they walk away I hear a conversation going on between the two
"Oh my gosh that was close, I can't believe we almost slipped up like that" Sokka says to the blind girl, "Well it wasn't a total lie, she was curled up next to him…."
What!? did I hear that correctly are they saying something about Katara, No I must have miss heard….. But either way I need to focus on the coming fight….. So again it's something I'll deal with later.
