Hey Everyone, Wolf here. I'm back with Chapter 3. I'm going to try to keep my chapters in around the length that Chapter 2 was, maybe longer. Sadly, I still own nothing, all rights to Rick Riordan and Disney. Also, if y'all are interested in joining my Discord server, the link will be in my profile. I'm still working on getting it up and going, so I'd love some help. Anyway, enough of me talking, on with the chapter.
Percy POV
I woke up the same time as yesterday, which was surprising, seeing as I never wake up that early 2 days in a row. I got out of bed, got dressed, and headed to the meditation room. I got there early, so I went over to the pond and started meditating while I waited for Master Yoda to get there. I gathered up my emotions and released them into the Force. I once again felt lighter like I did yesterday. After that, I just sat there focusing on the water.
I felt a presence enter the room, and I checked the time using my powers. 0600, right on time. Master Yoda made his way over to the pond and sat down beside me. We just sat there in silence, meditating, until Master Yoda broke the silence.
"Sleep well, did you?" he asked.
"Yes Master, and you?" I asked.
"Sleep well, I did. Today, more saber training, you will have. Also, learn how to lift multiple things, through the Force, you will." Master Yoda replied.
"Yes Master." I spoke.
After that, we meditated, until around 1100, when Master Yoda said "Come, padawan, there is something I would like show you."
We left the meditation room, and went down a series of hallways, until we reached an elevator. We took it up and got out. After that, we took a flight of stairs to the roof, where we sat and watched the speeders fly by. "Always like this, it was not. Across the land, farms, there used to be. Coruscant, a lush planet, it was. Then, the center of politics, it became. Ruined the planet, politicians did. Office building, they built. Now, a city planet, Coruscant is. Know how Coruscant was, most people do not." Master Yoda explained.
"Thank you for telling me this. I can tell that you don't like politicians any better than I do." I said.
After that, we sat up there, watching the speeders and clouds go by, until around 1200, when we left to go get food. We arrived in the dining area, got our food, and sat down. We talked about random things, like how I missed things back home, like hamburgers, blue coke, my mom's blue cookies, stuff like that. I learned that Yoda was actually 900 years old, which would explain how wise he is. He's actually the oldest Jedi currently alive. We finished lunch around 1300, so we got up, threw away our trash, and headed to the same dojo room as yesterday.
When we arrived there, Master Windu was already there, and meditating in the center of the room. He must have sensed us arrive, and stood up, ready for the lesson.
"Hello Percy, how has your day been?" Master Windu asked.
"It's been pretty good actually, how about you?" I responded.
"Well, I just finished a lesson with some younger apprentices. I know they are our future, but they sure can get off topic fast." he said.
"I know what that's like. back home, I was the person that trained all the campers in sword fighting. The older people were easier to teach, but the younger ones, let's just say that their respect for me was the only thing that somewhat kept them focused." I replied.
"Yes, young ones can be hard to teach. Anyway, you have your saber, yes?" he asked, continuing when I unclipped it from my belt, "Ok, good. Today, we will be working on your skills with it in dual blade form. Seeing as I am not very well versed in dual blade sabers, I brought a Jedi Temple Guard to help today. You may come in now."
I saw someone in white and yellow armor walk in. They had what looked like a dual blade lightsaber on their hip. They walked over to the middle of the room and motioned for me to come over.
"Show me your weapon." they spoke in a distorted male voice.
I held out my saber, and he took it out of my hand. He inspected it, looking at it like someone that specialized in dual blade sabers would. He activated one end, then the other, and gave it a few swings. He deactivated both ends and handed it back to me.
"A beautiful saber, that is. A good hilt length, a good blade length, and a beautiful design. What do you know of dual blade weapons?" the Temple Guard asked.
"Not much, I haven't had time to do any research." I answered.
"Ok, that's ok, I'll answer any questions you have. If you have any after today, Master windu knows how to reach me. Dual blade sabers are both a strength, and a weakness. They are a strength because you have 2 blades and can block 2 sabers at once. But they are a weakness, because the hilt is not lightsaber proof, so your enemy only has to slice the middle, and you are left defenseless. But your saber has something that can help with this. Since your lightsaber can detach and form 2 separate sabers, if your hilt gets slashed in the middle, you can keep fighting, because the middle is where they detach." he explained.
"That makes sense." I said.
"Activate your saber, let's get started." he said. Once I did so, he continued, "Take up a stance like me. This doesn't have to be your personal stance; this is just the stance I use as an example of a dual blade stance. Ok good. Now, copy what I do." He does a slash to the left "One." he does a slash to the right "Two." he does a spin into a downwards diagonal slash "Three." he spins again, in the opposite direction, and does an upwards diagonal slash "Four." he spins his saber clockwise "Five" and does a downward slash "Six."
"Now you try." He says.
I copy the movements exactly. "Good, now, keep repeating the movements faster and faster till it becomes one fluid motion" he says. I start out slow, do the movements, then reset, speeding up each time, till I was doing them fluidly all in a row without stopping.
"Good, that is just one example of a combo that you can do. There are infinite possibilities, including switching from one blade to two or vise versa. Also, with your saber, you can switch from dual blade to dual wield, which can be deadly if done right." the Temple Guard explained.
Ok, that makes sense. What now?" I asked.
"Now, we spar. You need to get used to fighting dual blade or single blade opponents. Ready?" he asked.
"Yep." I confirmed.
"Five, four, three, two, one, fight!" master Windu gave us the countdown.
We started circling each other, with him doing some fancy spins. Probably some sort of intimidation attempt. Well, it wasn't going to work on me. I moved towards him, and did a sideways slash followed by a spin into a downwards slash. he expertly blocked it, of course. he then did an overhead slash, which I parried to the left. he used my parry to go into a spin and attack from the other side. It was well executed. if I didn't have as good of reflexes as I do, I would have lost right then and there. I blocked it and used the other end to slash at him when I pushed his saber away. He spun his saber and blocked with the other end, and we went into a battle of who could push harder. I released my pressure, throwing him off balance, I bent over so he rolled over me, hit his saber out of his hand, and held my blade at his throat. "Yield." I said. "I yield." the temple guard said.
"You have some serious potential kid, you managed to beat a fully trained jedi Temple Guard, after getting your lightsaber the day before. Granted, that trick was what won you the battle, but in a real battle, everything is fair. Like I said earlier, if you have any questions or want to spar again, Master Windu knows how to reach me." the temple Guard said, before walking out.
I heard a "Wow" from behind me. When I turned around, I saw Master Windu staring at me in shock. "You managed to defeat a Temple Guard, with a fighting style you never used before. You weren't kidding when you said that you have fighting experience. Don't let it go to your head though, not everyone will be that easy to defeat." Master Windu said.
"I won't Master Windu, and no, I wasn't kidding. I've grown up having to fight for my life weekly, if not daily. You tend to pick up a few tricks over the years." I replied.
"Damn, that's a rough life for someone that young. if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here Percy." Master Windu said, before leaving, probably to go teach another class.
"A few hours until dinner, you have. Explore, you may." Master Yoda said.
"Master, is there a place where I can make some changes to my lightsaber? I have a few ideas." I asked.
"Yes. To the dining hall, you will go. Find another Jedi. Ask them where the Saber Building area is, you shall." He replied.
"Thank you, Master." I said.
With that, we went our separate ways. I made my way to the dining hall and saw someone in jedi robes. I walked over to them, and asked, "Would you be able to tell me where the Saber Building area is?"
They turned around, and I saw that it was someone from the council, the guy with the cone shaped head. "If you go down that hallway, make a left at the first intersection, then walk down to the end of the hall, make a right, and it will be straight ahead. I'm Master Mundi, by the way." Master mundi informed me.
"Thank you, have a nice day." I said, before making my way there.
When I got there, I saw at least 20 people, all working on their lightsabers. I walked over to an empty bench and set to work. I had a couple ideas on how to change the saber and make it my own. I found a box that said 'Emitters' and looked in it. I found that they were the parts on the end of the hilt. I also found boxes labeled 'Sleeve' and 'Power Switch'. After figuring out which parts are which, I started working. I found an Emitter that extended and wrapped around the blade on both sides. (Look up Jaro Tapal Emitter, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen order) I painted it a pretty shade of blue, then changed out the current emitters for the new ones. After I did that, I found a new Power Switch that I liked better, it was blue, and had waved designed on it. Lastly, I found a new Sleeve, which, like the old one, had waves designed onto it, but this one fit into my hand better. It was smooth, and it still had the split in the middle, so I could still detach it.
My work was done, and after getting permission from the Master that was supervising everyone, I activated one end, then the other. Then, I split the hilt and was holding two sabers. I deactivated the blades and reattached the hilt. I clipped it only my belt and checked the time. It was 1645, damn, I spent a long time doing that. I made my way to the dining hall, as not to be late for dinner. I arrived at 1655, and I quickly found Master Yoda. We got our food and sat down at a table. We started eating, and neither of us said anything for a few minutes. Master Yoda startled me out of my thoughts by saying, "Your lightsaber, show me. The changes, I would like to see."
I unclipped it from my belt and handed it over to him. He inspected it, turning it over and looking at it from all sides. He handed it back to me saying, "Like it, I do. A good job, you have done."
Master Yoda's approval meant more to me than I expected. I realized that he had kind of become like Chiron was to me. He was becoming a mentor, and I was glad that I got Master Yoda as my Master. I felt happier when he approved of something that I did, or when I said something smart. Although he could never replace Chiron, he could be my mentor in this universe.
"Master, how often do Jedi leave the temple?" I asked.
"Hmm, their skills, it depends on. Some jedi, never leave the temple, do they. better suited for teaching, some are. Leave the temple, most do. Across the galaxy, needed, Jedi are. Peacekeepers, we are." Master Yoda said.
"That makes sense. How soon will it be until I get to leave the temple?" I asked.
"Patience, young one. Come, the time will, when you are needed. For now, train, you must. Prepared, you must be." he said.
"Yes Master. I will do my best, but I feel a bit out of place. All the Jedi my age have been training since they were children. I've been here for 2 days." I responded.
"In time, accepted, you will be. Different circumstances, your situation has." Master Yoda assured.
"Thank you, Master, now, what's next for today?" I asked.
"Force training, you have next. Head there now, we shall." Master Yoda responded.
We threw away our trash and headed to the same room as last night. When we got there, Master Yoda took out some rocks, about 6 inched thick, and placed them around the area. I sat down in the middle and listened to what Master Yoda had to say.
"Sometimes, lift multiple objects, you must. A strong focus, this requires. Calm your mind, you must. Around you, feel the Force flow. Focus on it, and use it." Master Yoda explained.
"I closed my eyes and did as instructed. I cleared my mind and focused on the Force flowing around me. I focused on the Force flowing around the rocks. I tried to lift them all at the same time, but I couldn't. So, I tried a different approach. I focused on lifting them one at a time. I lifted the first rock, then focused on keeping it suspended where it was. I then did the same with the other rocks, until there was only one left. I was feeling my strength draining, and I couldn't keep all the rocks suspended for much longer. I focused on the last rock. I started to lift it, but I ran out of strength. The rocks all fell to the floor, and I sat there, trying to catch my breath.
"Good, you did. For your first time, very focused, you were. Continue to work on that, we shall. For the night, done, you are." Master Yoda spoke after a moment.
"Thank you, Master." I replied.
After that, I left to go to my room and take a nice long shower. After the shower, which left me reenergized, I sat on my bed. I quickly fell into a meditative trance. I found myself back in Chaos' throne room. She was there, and she looked surprised to see me.
"How are you here Percy? I didn't see or feel a portal open up. In fact, I don't even feel your presence at all. If I hadn't looked up and seen you, I wouldn't have known you were there." Chaos inquired.
"That's because I'm not actually here. I guess I managed to project my conscience here. I'm currently in the Jedi Temple, meditating. I was just as surprised as you were to find myself here. Anyway, how are you? How is everyone doing without me there?" I asked.
"They're not taking it very well. They miss you, and Annabeth is devastated, she thinks that she may never see you again. You need to contact her Percy. She's withdrawn from the Camp, she just sits in her room staring at the ceiling all day, she only comes out for meals." Chaos said.
"Ok, I'll try to contact her. It was good talking to you Chaos." I said.
"You too Percy."
With that, I focused on a different place. I found myself in a familiar room, looking at a certain blonde haired beauty. "Hey Wise Girl."
"Percy?! How are you here? I thought I would never see you again, you couldn't have at least said bye before you left for another universe?" Annabeth asked, sounding hurt.
"I'm sorry Annabeth, but Chaos sounded like it was pretty urgent that I leave. And I'm not actually here, I'm still in another universe. I managed to project my conscience here while meditating." I replied.
"Wow, you meditate? A lot has changed then in the past 2 days." Annabeth said.
"Yeah, a lot has changed. I'm a Jedi now, or at least training to me. The Jedi are like the demigods of this universe. They use this mysterious force called the Force. They can move objects with it, but it's not just telekinesis. It's this energy that surrounds and connects all living things. I also have this really cool laser sword, or lightsaber as they call them in this universe. Here, let me show you." I said. I unclipped my lightsaber from my belt and activated it. She stared in awe at how elegant the weapon was. I then detached the hilt and showed her both sides. I then deactivated it and reassembled it, clipping it onto my belt.
"Wow, it's beautiful. Well, it's been great talking to you Percy, but I need to go and get back into my old life. People will be glad to see that I'm ok. I love you Seaweed Brain, and don't do anything stupid or get yourself killed." Annabeth said.
"I love you too Wise Girl, and be a good leader in my place." I said, before my conscience left the universe and went back to my body. I saw that the sun had already gone down, so I laid down and went to sleep. I had another dream, I guess two nights in a row was too much to ask. I was back in the same room as before, and I saw Dooku talking to his Master. I tuned into the conversation and heard something that sounded good.
"Master, there have been some⦠complications. we are having to delay the kidnapping plan a few years. The Separatists simply don't have the numbers yet. They are saying that they need 3 more years until they are ready to proceed with the plan. Grievous isn't happy, but he understands that they can't do this without the numbers." Dooku reported.
"This is unfortunate. There is something good to this. This will give us more time to perfect the plan. There are still some kinks that we need to work out. You shall meet with the separatists, and finish making the plan. We need this to be foolproof. We- I sense a disturbance. It seems that the same kid as before is spying on us. Let's teach him a lesson, why he shouldn't mess with us." the Master said.
Oh shit, I need to wake up now, come on. Crap. I felt myself being pulled again, and I realized that Dooku was using the Force to do it. Once I was close enough, he did his lightning attack. Right when it was about to hit me, I felt myself being woken up. I opened my eyes and was blinded by the sunlight. Shit! That means I'm late for morning meditation! Then, I saw something else. Master Yoda was here. Crap, I am so in trouble.
"Wrong, something is, hmm? A bad dream? Or something worse, was it? A vision, perhaps?" Master Yoda inquired.
"If that is what you call them here, then yes, it was a vision. I used to get them back home, and they were always informing me of something that was going on, or was going to happen. I've had 2 so far, and they are connected. I was some guy with white hair talking to a hooded man via a hologram. Both times, The man with white hair shot some sort of lightning out of his hand." I said. The look on Master Yoda's face scared me.
"Inform the council of this, we must. A meeting, I shall call. In the tower, in 20 minutes, you shall be." Master Yoda said, before walking out in a hurry.
I quickly got dressed, grabbed my lightsaber, and made my way to the dining area, which seemed to be like the center of the building. I ran into Master Mundi, and we walked to the elevator together. We rode up in silence, and when we got to the top, he said, "We will have someone come get you when we are ready."
With that, he walked through the doors. I decided that it would be best to meditate and clear my thoughts. After about 20 minutes of meditation, the doors opened, and Master Windu said, "We're ready for you."
I walked in, and saw the circle of chairs, and some of them were occupied by holograms still. I walked over to the center of the room and waited to be addressed.
"Visions, Percy has had. Bad news, they bring." Master Yoda spoke first.
"Tell us about these visions Percy." Master Windu said.
So, I filled them in on the visions I had been having. They seemed to get more and more worried as I continued to tell them. When I finished, they looked like they had all seen ghosts.
"Bad, this is. Back, it seems the Sith are. Prepare the order, we must. At war, we may very well be." Master Yoda spoke after a moment.
"Percy, thank you for informing us of this, although, I sense you have a question. What is it?" Master Mundi asked.
"What are Sith?" I asked.
Everyone's faces seemed to darken. "The Sith are the ancient enemy of the Jedi. Jedi use the light side of the Force, while the Sith use the dark side. A long time ago, there was a war between the Jedi and the Sith. The Jedi won, and wiped out the Sith, or so we thought. It seems they are truly back. Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi had a run in with one 10 years ago. He managed to kill the Sith, but he lost his Master, Qui Gon Gin. Qui Gon was going to train a boy, Anakin Skywalker, but when he died, Obi-Wan took Anakin as his own apprentice. Anyway, if the Sith are truly back, then we have a long road ahead of us. Percy, you must focus on your training, because if what you told us when you arrived is true, then you will play a major part in what is to come. If you need anything, feel free to contact any of us." Master Windu spoke.
"Yes Master, I will do my best." I responded.
"If all, that is, then dismissed, this council is." Master Yoda said, ending the council meeting. I left with Master Windu and Master Yoda, heading to weapons training. If I was going to assist in what was to come, I had a long road of training ahead of me.
Time Skip-3 Years
Percy POV
It's been 3 years since the council meeting where I learned about the Sith. They have disappeared without a trace. I haven't even had any visions about them. Today, I'm becoming a Jedi Knight. Most people were surprised that I was being knighted so fast, but the Masters said that I had earned it, and that I had progressed faster than any Jedi on record. I was making my way to the room where the ceremony was taking place. Another thing. I managed to learn how to navigate the Temple. Anyway, I reached the Ceremony Room, and made sure I had everything. jedi ceremonial robes, check. My lightsaber, check. Ok, I have everything I need. I walked in the room, and saw that the entire High Council was there, in person. Along with them, most of the order was in attendance. I had become well known among those of the order, many people were shocked to hear that Master Yoda took on an apprentice. That shock disappeared though, when they saw how fast I progressed. Within the first year, I had mastered lightsaber combat. They created a Form, just for me. I reached the center of the stage, where I would be knighted. Master Yoda himself was knighting me. I heard someone start speaking.
"We are gathered here for the Knighting of Percy Jackson, who has managed to complete his apprenticeship in only 3 years. He even earned the respect of the Jedi High Council, and he has worked closely with them over the years. He is a master of the lightsaber, being able to fight with any form of saber, and has defeated most of the Council in 1 on 1 combat. Anyway, you're not here to listen to me ramble on about his accomplishments, because we'd be here for days. Master Yoda, I turn it over to you." said Master Windu.
"Swear to protect the Order, and the galaxy, with your life, do you?"
"I do"
"Swear to always do what is right, do you?"
"I do"
"Then, by the right of the Council, by the will of the Force, rise, Percy Jackson, Jedi Knight."
And that's Chapter 3. I hope y'all liked it. As always, review if you liked the chapter, or if you have feedback. I'm leaving on Sunday to go to Nashville, so I won't be posting as often while I'm there. I will still try to get a chapter out while I'm there, but I make no guarantees. My schedule is going to be jam packed, so I'll probably only get to write when I get back to my hotel room at night. Anyway, thank you to those of you that are continuing to follow the story. I'll see y'all in the next chapter. Wolf out.
