Hi friends, here's a new Naruto story that's been mulling around in my brain lately. It will be a multi-chapter story for sure, but I'm not sure yet how far I'm going to take it. And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about my other stories. They're not on hiatus! I just have a lot of ideas in my head that I like to get written down.

Naruto jolted up in surprise when he heard a knock on his office door. The person on the other side of the door did not wait for Naruto's response as they opened the door.

"You're gonna want to see this," Shikamaru said abruptly, not even entering the room entirely.

Seeing the urgency on Shikamaru's face, Naruto nodded and followed his advisor out of the office. Once they were outside, Skikamaru took off running and Naruto followed at the same pace.

"Where are we heading?" Naruto asked.

"To the east gate," Shikamaru responded. "Kotetsu and Izumo asked me to get you. I have a hard time believing what they told me, but if it's true, we got a big problem on our hands."

"What exactly did they say is going on?" Naruto questioned in concern.

"You'll see," Skikamaru said eerily.

The two shinobi kept running until they reached the village gate. There, they saw Kotetsu and Izumo trying to restrain a young girl.

"There you are, Lord Seventh. This girl is belligerent and we're not sure what to do with her," Kotetsu said between pants.

"Sasuke. I need to see Sasuke Uchiha," the girl shouted, still trying to fight off the two gatekeepers.

Naruto turned to look at Shikamaru.

"Shikamaru, some help?"

"Sure thing," Shikamaru said before he began to cast his Shadow Possession Jutsu. Shikamaru's shadow stretched out and connected with the girl's, causing the girl to become immobilized. Kotatsu and Izumo stopped trying to restrain the girl at that moment and the two leaned over, panting in exhaustion. Naruto stepped forward and approached the girl.

"Who are you? Outsiders can't enter the village without proper clearance."

As Naruto got closer to the girl, Izumo's head shot up as he yelled at the Hokage.

"Sir, don't look into her eyes."

"Huh?" Naruto asked in confusion before he glanced over at the girl's eyes. Her eyes were a sharp red color with a black circle pattern within them.

"Sharingan?!" Naruto yelled out in surprise before he was placed in a genjutsu.

Naruto froze in his tracks and stared off into the space in front of him. Shikamaru let out an angry growl as he weaved a new hand sign. This caused the shadow below the girl to rise and move with an arm-like motion. The shadow's arms then wrapped around the girl's neck, strangling her. She gasped for air for a few moments before her eyes rolled into the back of her head. As she passes out, Shikamaru used his shadow to gently lay her on the ground. Once she was still, Skikamaru released his jutsu and ran toward Naruto. He placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder and released the genjutsu that Naruto was trapped in. When Naruto finally came to, he looked at Shikamaru in anger.

"Get her to the Interrogation Unit."

Naruto, Shikamaru, Sakura, and Ino stood in a hallway staring through a one-way mirror. The glass looked into a small, cell-like room. In the corner of the room, the girl from the gate sat, resting her face on her knees. Ino gave the girl one last look before she turned to Naruto.

"I'm not sure what else I can do in this situation. She said she won't tell us anything unless she can see Sasuke. I can take more drastic measures to get information out of her, but she's just a kid and she never made an attempt to attack anyone. All she's done since she got to the village was defend herself."

Naruto let out a growl and clenched his fists tightly.

"Ino's right," Shikamaru added. "If we used cruel and invasive measures against her, that could turn back on the village in a really bad way."

"Let me try to talk to her," Sakura said. "I might be able to get something out of her."

Sakura opened the door next to the window and entered the room. She approached the girl and kneeled so she was eye-level with her. The girl looked up at Sakura and scowled.

"You're not Sasuke. I told you guys, I'm only going to talk to Sasuke."

"Honey, Sasuke isn't even in the village right now," Sakura said calmly. "He's a very busy man, even busier than the Hokage. He can't drop everything just to come to talk to you."

"That's fine, I'll wait," the girl said with a stern look. "Just know, the longer you all wait, the worse the situation is going to get."

Sakura narrowed her eyes at the girl. "What situation?"

The girl let out a snarky "humph" as she crossed her arms and leaned back in the corner.

"I'll only talk to Sasuke."

Sakura sighed in frustration, stood up, and turned to walk out of the room. She was soon stopped by the girl calling out to her.

"Why are you wearing that symbol on your back? You're not an Uchiha."

"Actually," Sakura said, turning around. "I am an Uchiha. Sasuke is my husband."

The girl's eyes got wide for a brief second before her nonchalant attitude returned. Sakura waited to see if the girl was going to say anything else. After she remained quiet for a few seconds, Sakura turned once again and exited the room. She looked over to the other three shinobi.

"I don't know what it is, but something about this girl tells me that we need to help her."

"No," Naruto said in anger. "I'm not going to let this girl come into the village thinking she can bark demands and we'll automatically honor them. At this point in time, I can't trust her."

"Naruto," Sakura pleaded as she looked into Naruto's eyes. "Just bring in Sasuke."

"I swear to everything holy if this thing that you demanded I come to see isn't worth my time, I'm going to cut off your good arm," Sasuke growled as he walked the bowels of the Leaf's Intelligence Division with Naruto.

"It'll be worth your time, I promise," Naruto responded.

Naruto and Sasuke kept walking the halls until Naruto stopped in front of the one-way mirror he stood in front of earlier that day. Sasuke stopped as well and he looked through the window as he stood next to Naruto.

"Who is that?" Sasuke asked as he peered at the girl in the room.

Naruto looked over at Sasuke with a slight shock on his face.

"You mean you don't know her?"

"Why would I know her?" Sasuke asked.

"Because she has the Sharingan."

At Naruto's words, Sasuke's eyes widened as he looked back at the girl. His eyes quickly narrowed in anger and he threw open the door to the room and entered, wanting to investigate the situation himself.

When the door to the room opened up the girl lifted her head from her crouched position. When she noticed that the person who entered the room was the person she's been wanting to talk to, she quickly scrambled up to stand on her feet.

"Sasuke, it's you."

"I don't have time for any games right now," Sasuke barked as he interrupted the girl. "You will only speak to answer the questions that I ask you. If you say anything more than that, I WILL take measures to make sure that you never speak again. Do you understand?"

The girl stared at Sasuke with wide and fearful eyes but she still nodded.

"First, show me your Sharingan."

The girl let out a deep breath and allowed her eyes to change from an onyx color to the familiar red and black pattern. Sasuke looked into the girl's eyes with his own Sharingan and Rinnegan eyes but found nothing peculiar.

"Where did you get those eyes?" Sasuke asked sharply. The girl gave Sasuke a puzzled look and she kept quiet.

"Answer me!"

The girl let out a yelp of fright and she cowered at Sasuke's words.

"I don't know if that's a trick question or not. They're my eyes. I didn't get them from anyone or anywhere."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "Then are you a clone or a human experiment?"

"Um, I'm pretty sure I'm not," the girl answered in confusion.

"There are only two true Sharingan users in this world, myself and my daughter. How is it possible that you could also be one?"

"It's possible because both of my parents are Uchiha," the girl said calmly.

Sasuke's eyes got wide in anger and he took hold of the hilt of his sword, ready to attack if he needed to.

"I said that I'm not here to play games."

The girl cowered even farther than she did before, scared of Sasuke's outburst.

"I'm not trying to play games. Please, just let me explain."

Sasuke continued to glare at the girl for a few moments. He eventually let out a sigh and removed his grip on his sword and deactivated his Sharingan.

"Talk," he said as he crossed his hands over his chest.

"Thank you," the girl started. "My name is Itami. I'm an Uchiha, but I only found that out and awakened my Sharingan two days ago. My mother was sick for some time and two days ago, as she took her last few breaths, she told me everything about her past, the past she hid from me. She told me that her real full name was Izumi Uchiha and she told me that my father was Itachi Uchiha."

Sasuke's mouth slowly fell agape as he stared at the girl, Itami. For one of the few times in his life, Sasuke found himself stammering.

"I-Itachi… your fa-father?"

Itami gave Sasuke a sympathetic look and remained quiet, allowing him to gather his thoughts.

"That can't be possible," Sasuke finally said, regaining some composure. "There's no way that Itachi has any kids and Izumi died during the Uchiha Clan Massacre."

'That's just it," Itami said hesitantly. "The Uchiha Clan Massacre never actually happened."
