"Jennifer, you know you can talk to me right," said Hotch.
JJ took a deep breath before nodding.
"Then tell me," said Hotch.
JJ shook her head.
"I can't," said JJ.
"You can't or you won't," said Hotch.
"No, I can't," said JJ.
Hotch nodded.
"Alright, just let me know if you need anything," said Hotch.
JJ gave him a smile before leaving his office.
When JJ got back into her own office, she locked the door behind her. She picked up the photo of Will, her, and Henry that was standing on her desk. JJ could feel a tear run down her cheek, which made its way on to the glass of the picture frame. Even though JJ wanted to tell Hotch and the rest of the team what was going on, she couldn't. This person knew too much.
The rest of the team had gone home a long time ago, even Hotch had already made his way home, and by the time JJ arrived at home both Will and Henry were already sound asleep. JJ stood in her son's doorway for a little while. Henry was still so innocent with no idea of what a cruel place the world was.
JJ was startled as a hand was placed on her shoulder. At first, she thought it was her husband, but when he squeezed her shoulder tightly, she knew it wasn't him.
"What do you want," JJ whispered so that she would not wake her husband and son.
JJ felt the cold barrel of the gun being pushed in her neck.
"JJ, what's going on," said Will.
JJ's heart dropped as she heard her husband's voice and now, he was the one the gun was aimed at.
"Please don't hurt him," JJ begged.
Will put his hands in the air, but a shot was fired regardless, and he fell to the ground. JJ was gasping for air as her worst fear had become a reality.
"Mommy," said Henry.
When JJ turned to him, he was sitting up in his bed as the gunshot had woken him up.
"Mommy, what happened to daddy," said Henry.
Before JJ could say or do anything the gun was placed back against her neck.
"Don't make me kill him too," the man whispered in JJ's ears.
"Just go back to bed buddy," said JJ as a tear ran down her face.
"But mommy, daddy is hurt, and I want to help him," said Henry.
JJ felt a blow to the back of her head, causing her to fall.
"Mommy," Henry cried.
JJ tried to get up and fight, but the world around her slowly started to fade away.
"Henry, you have to work the case with me," said JJ.
JJ wanted to turn her head, to see if her son had understood the message, but her head was too heavy. JJ was looking at her husband, who was laying in a puddle of his own blood.
"Will," cried JJ.
The man grabbed a needle from his pocket and made his way over to JJ. She had managed to sit up, but the world around her was such a blur meaning that she wouldn't make it very far. The man grabbed her arm, sticking the needle in and it took only a few seconds before everything faded away.
