Chapter 1: Your Story

Darkness was all I saw which made me realize that my eyes were closed and that I was in another place. I mention this because I believe that I'm laying on the ground since I don't feel the comfort of my bed, which either means that I surprisingly fell from my bed, or that I'm no longer in my room. This leaves me to the conclusion that I'm no longer in ANHS. I'm making this conclusion since I know that I wouldn't fall from my bed without waking up because in the White Room you always need to pay attention even during your sleep since who knows who could attack you. But now here comes my next question.

Why can't I remember them attacking me and possibly knocking me out cold? That is the strange thing about this since I should have remembered who attacked me, even if I was knocked out cold I should have remembered the fight that I had with those who knocked me out. Or is it that no one attacked me, and they drugged my food? That seems somewhat possible, but still unlikely since I have a large poison tolerance thanks to the White Room's typical experiments. Still, that could be possible since they could have created a new drug that I haven't been tested with. However, I also noticed something and it was that I was not restrained, which further confused me since that man, would have definitely put some type of restraint on me so that I don't escape.

Ahhh. It doesn't matter if I don't open my eyes and see where I was, then I can think of a plan to escape this predicament. And with that, I finally opened my eyes, and the first thing that I saw truly surprised me.

I say this because not even once in my life could I have thought I would see galaxies, and stars this close. This sight by itself was beautiful, seeing the different colors, on this black abyss. However, even though I was admiring its beauty for a moment, I immediately understood one thing. That this was utterly impossible since no one can actually see stars, and especially galaxies this close ever.

This confused me even more but I remained calm since I needed to access what was happening, to then plan the next course of action. With that said I proceeded to get up, however as I was doing that something, or rather a group of people caught my field of vision which surprised me by them being here with me. As I got up completely and looked around I saw everyone who was here. All around me laid the unconscious forms of Kei, Horikita, Matsushita, Satou, Haruka, Ichinose, Hiyori, Ibuki, Ishizaki, Albert, Ryuuen, Sakayanagi, Hashimoto, Kamuro, Kiryuuin-senpai, Asahina-senpai, Amasawa, and Nanase.

At first, I believed that it was an illusion that my father created thanks to a drug to make me see things, but that thought changed when I saw that they were all breathing, since an illusion can not replicate the breathing patterns of people. I was still confused about what was happening while feeling a bit relieved that I wasn't alone, but then I noticed that they were all starting to wake up.

"The hell?" Said Ryuuen as I saw that he opened his eyes and that he had a shocked look, as he saw the galaxies and stars.

"What's happening?!" Said Haruka as everyone was looking around with wide eyes, while I saw that Kei was looking around until her eyes met mine. She then had a relieved look at seeing me, at that moment I was going to speak but then we all heard a deep voice resonate in this place.

"It seems that you all are finally awake."

At this, some of us including me looked around trying to find where the voice came from with a calm look, while the others had scared expressions while looking around as well. But at that moment a tear suddenly appeared which surprised all of us, but we didn't have time to register this since a man with pale skin, red eyes, and black hair wearing a red buttoned-up shirt walked through the tear. The man from what I could tell was at least in his thirties from his looks, he had a calm look as he spoke to us.

"Hello there everyone, my name is Jackson. And I brought you all here because I need your help."

Everyone was surprised by what he said including me since, after all, why would you kidnap a group of teenagers because you needed our help if from what I could tell you were powerful? As I thought about this I heard Sakayanagi pose an interesting argument.

"Mr. Jackson, if I may. From what you showed us you possess incredible power, and yet you want a group of teenagers to help you? If I am, to be honest, I do not believe that we can help you, with anything at all."

"Yeah I also agree with the Loli, why would another monster like you, want us to help you? You can probably take care of it on your own." Said Ryuuen with a glare as he ignored Sakayanagi's glare when he called her by that nickname, while the others including myself thought the same thing. Since this man tore a hole in reality, to come here, which told us a lot of his strength.

"Ahhh You are right Sakayanagi, Ryuuen. In a normal sense, I wouldn't even think of asking anyone for help on this matter, however, due to some agreements that I made, there isn't anything that I can do directly." He said in a tired tone, as both Sakayanagi, and Ryuuen were surprised that he knew their names. But they remained quiet like the rest of us since we were all confused by what he said but then Ichinose spoke up.

"Um, Jackson-san if you don't mind me asking, why us?" Asked Ichinose what was on everyone's minds right now.

When he heard her question, we saw how simply remained quiet as he looked at all of us for a moment until he said with a certain amount of amusement in his voice.

"I brought you all here because you're story brought me a good amount of entertainment, and I also saw all of your accomplishments albeit by winning against each other, being stronger than the rest, confronting your past and becoming stronger, or by learning how to become better by learning about your past mistakes, as I saw all of this I knew that you all can complete my request."

As we heard him, we were all more confused as to what he was saying. Our story? Could it be that he's been watching our lives? If so then that means that he knows that place! At that moment I lost my composure since he could reveal my past to everyone here, thankfully no one from my group noticed, except for Jackson who sent me an amused grin much to my displeasure. I was going to speak but Horikita spoke before I could.

"Jackson-kun, what do you mean by our story?" She said with a confused tone while narrowing her eyes while the other's were also confused except for Kiryuuin-senpai who was smirking a bit, Amasawa who had a surprised look as I realized that she had the same thought as I, Sakayanagi, Matsushita, and Ryuuen who simply narrowed their eyes.

"What I mean is that I've been watching the tale of a certain individual that desires freedom, that is right here with you all." He said with a smirk as he looked at me, which caused everyone to also look at me. Some with wide eyes, while others with smirks as I mentally cursed this man for saying that.

"Kiyopon what does he mean by you desiring freedom?" Haruka asked me, but I simply answered.

"I don't know, what he's talking about." I lied, however it caused Jackson to simply laugh which gained everyone's attention.

"Hahahahahahahaha I knew that you would lie, but still it was entertaining to see what you would say!"

As I heard him I showed him my true eyes which caused everyone except him to stiffen, as they slowly looked back and saw my eyes. This caused everyone to pale while some simply smiled at the sight of my eyes, but I ignored them since I only looked at this man who was simply smirking at me.

"Yes those are the eyes that made me interested in your story, to be honest in all my years I never thought that I would see a story quite intriguing as yours Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Hell, I even thought of making everyone react to your story, but due to circumstances, I can't do that now. But that doesn't mean that I can't show them." He said which caused me to widen my eyes as I knew what he was insinuating, at that moment I told him in anger.

"You wouldn't dare."

My tone surprised everyone since I can tell they never thought that I could have this type of tone in my voice. Even I'm surprised by this since I've forgotten how it feels to have anger, and yet this man made me feel anger since he wants to expose my past to everyone. But this man even didn't care that I was angry as he simply widened his smirk.

"Are you sure?" He said in a mocking tone as he snapped his fingers, and at that moment I saw how everyone stiffened for a moment as they suddenly held their heads in pain. This told me everything as I glared at the being in front of me but he simply had an amused smile still on his face. Then I heard the words that I never wanted to hear in my life.

"Kiyotaka is it true?" Said Kei as I looked and saw that she alongside many others had wide eyes. In contrast, some including her had tears in their eyes, including Sakayanagi even though she already knew but I guess he truly showed them everything. This sight caused me to let out a tired breath as I knew what she meant, as I then looked at them, and simply answered.

"Yes."

As they heard my answer they all had shocked looks as some of them like Hiyori, and Ichinose started crying. I don't know what they were thinking, but I believe that they're thinking that I'm a monster. I wouldn't fault them if they did because, at the end of the day, I will always be a monster that only cares for his own sake. However as I thought about I suddenly felt that someone, or to be more exact some people were hugging me which surprised me. I guess I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice them coming to me, as I saw that the ones who were hugging me were Kei, Haruka, Hiyori, Satou, and Ichinose. I also noticed that they were crying which confused me even more, but then I heard Kei's muffled voice.

"Kiyotaka, why did you have to suffer through that!"

This shocked me as I finally noticed that the grand majority of them were looking at me not with disgust but with sympathy. Even people like Ryuuen, Amasawa, Sakayanagi, and Kiryuuin-senpai didn't have their typical smiles as they also looked at me with sympathy with a hint of respect, while Amasawa simply looked at the ground.

This confused me even more as I spoke out to them.

"Why?"

I couldn't understand why they would give me these stares for someone like me. As they heard me Hiyori started speaking.

"How could we judge you after everything you've suffered in the White Room!" She said with conviction in her voice as tears fell from her eyes, as she said the place that I never wanted them to know about.

However, I was honestly surprised, as I was going to speak but then I heard Ichinose's voice which had a saddened tone.

"Even though you consider yourself as a monster, and even though you may consider people as tools, you are still the person who helped me in my darkest hour. And now that we know how you became the person you are today it makes us realize that out of all of us you are the one who suffered the most, even though you may deny it." She said with a sad smile, as I then heard Haruka.

"That and it was your bastard of a father that caused you to be this way. Since you needed to throw away your own emotions to survive that hell!"

I was still in shock by everything I'm hearing as I saw that Horikita was walking toward me with her head down. The others stopped hugging me as they also saw Horikita and they moved aside waiting for what she was going to say, as she stood right in front of me, still with her head down.

Everyone remained quiet as they waited for what Horikita was going to say including me, if I was, to be honest. I was sure that she was going to yell at me however her next action, took me by surprise.

"I'm sorry." She the prideful Horikita Suzune, was bowing in front of me as I saw tears falling onto the ground.

This caused everyone to have wide eyes since no one expected her to do this, I also never expected this as in a rare moment of compassion on my part I spoke.

"Horikita please stop bowing, you don't need to do this for someone like me." I said in a calm tone, but she shook her head as she spoke in a broken tone.

"No! I need to apologize for forcing you to help me to achieve being class A, even though you just wanted to have a normal life after your father took away your freedom for fourteen years! I don't care if you see me as a tool because for all those years it was that mentality that allowed you to survive, so I could never judge you for this! I'm sorry Kiyotaka, I'm so sorry Kiyotaka for everything that I forced you to do, I'm sorry for not allowing you to have a peaceful life!" She said as she cried, even more, refusing to look into my eyes.

After I heard her I didn't know what to feel, yes she didn't allow me to have a peaceful school life. Yes, she has forced me to help her in her dream of achieving class A, but seeing her like this I didn't like it at all. I didn't like seeing the headstrong girl that I have known for the past year crying and bowing in front of me. This is something that the past me wouldn't have cared for, but now this sight makes me feel horrible, I don't why but I still feel it. For the first time in my life, I didn't know what to do, but I looked at Kei for a moment so that she can help me, as she saw that I was looking at her she nodded at me with a small smile. This confused me a bit until I realized what she wanted me to do, so with my eyes, I asked her if it was okay, and she simply nodded telling me what I needed to do.

With Kei's approval, I gently grabbed Horikita's chin and gently lifted her head so that we can see each other's eyes. As I did I saw that she was still crying as her eyes were red, and a bit puffy. We remained quiet as she still cried, but I decided to break the silence as I told her my honest feelings.

"I forgive you."

As she heard me she had wide eyes I noticed that she wanted to say something, but I didn't allow her as I continued talking.

"Even though you didn't allow me to have a peaceful school life, even though you forced me to do things that I found annoying. I still forgive you Horikita, so please stop crying it doesn't fit you at all." I said in the calmest tone I could muster as she did another thing I never thought she could do and that is that she hugged me while crying on my chest.

I remained still for a moment until I reciprocated the hug, as I held her gently as she continued sobbing on my shoulder. We remained like this for a few moments until she separated as she gave me the most beautiful smile I've ever seen on her face. She then moved aside as I saw that Ryuuen and his group walked toward me.

They stopped right in front of me, Ryuuen then looked straight into my eyes, as I did the same. We both remained quiet for a while until he "The Tyrant of Class B" lifted his hand while being clenched and extended it in front of me.

This made me curious for a moment until he spoke in a serious tone.

"Even though you earned my respect before, now I can say that I truly respect you after knowing of all the shit you went through monster."

I simply remained quiet as I processed what he said, I do admit he also earned my respect due to the fact that he managed to grow as a person after I defeated him. And even though he still wants to defeat me, he is truly one of the few people that I managed in a twisted sort of way to have as a friend. At that moment I also lifted my clenched hand as I connected it with his own, as I did that Ryuuen, Ishizaki, Albert, and even Ibuki had smiles as Ryuuen spoke once again.

"But that doesn't mean that I won't defeat you monster kukuku." He said with a grin as I simply shook my head in amusement as I spoke.

"Don't worry I know."

"Kukuku Good." He said as we lowered our hands, and at that moment Ishizaki spoke.

"Yo Ayanokouji-san, wanna hang out one day?" He said in an excited tone as Albert also spoke.

"I WOULD ALSO LIKE THAT BRO."

"If I have free time, we can hang out." I honestly told them, which caused Ishizaki, and Albert to smile at me, I then looked at Ibuki but then she averted her gaze from me with a blush on her face which confused me, as she started talking.

"If y-you don't mind we can talk, from time to time that is." She said while stuttering a bit in the beginning.

"I would also like that." I said as I then saw that she had a small smile as she left while her group simply chuckled at what she said, they also left as Sakayanagi and her group approached me as she simply had a sad smile as she started speaking.

"Even though I already knew about the White Room, it still breaks my heart seeing how much my childhood friend has suffered in that hell."

At that moment she walked toward me and hugged me as she cried silently, as I reciprocated her hug.

"I promise you, that after we deal with what this man want's us to do. I'll help you defeat Tsukishiro, and I'll help you destroy the White Room once and for all." She told me which surprised me a bit, but I knew that she was a girl who follows her promises, so I gently hugged her even more telling her my gratitude for what she said.

She then separated from me as she wiped away some tears in her eyes, she then spoke in her normal smug voice.

"Fufufu Honestly Ayanokouji-kun you've definitely learned how to hold a maiden." As she said we heard Kamuro say in a low voice.

"Tch Creppy Loli."

"Fufufu Masumi-chan, you shouldn't say that to a maiden like me." Said Sakayanagi, which made Kamuro more annoyed as she looked at me.

"I don't know how you even deal with her." She said to me as I shrugged since I didn't know what to say to her, as I then saw how Hashimoto laughed a bit.

"Honestly King, even though you suffered through all of that, and that you have a twisted personality. You still manage to make things interesting, so please don't change ever." He said which confused me a bit, but he spoke once again.

"Like honestly how do you manage to get so many girls to fall in love with you!" He said which surprised me even more as Ryuuen, Ishizaki, and Albert laughed at what he said, while some of the girls simply blushed at his words, while Kei glared at him.

However, as I was going to say something Kamuro hit Hashimoto in the stomach, and started dragging him with a blush on her face as Sakayangi followed them while laughing a bit.

At this, I simply shook my head, already used to his antics as I then saw Kiryuin-senpai, Asahina-senpai, and Matsushita walk toward me, with sad smiles. But then at that moment, Kiryuuin-senpai grabbed my hand and pulled me toward her as she hugged me, as she whispered to my ear so that only I can hear.

"Be proud that you survive, because now you can learn what it means to be happy." She told me which let me even further surprised that she would tell me this. As she let me go and there I saw a simple smile without any arrogance, that made her even more beautiful than before.

However, I couldn't continue that thought as Asahina-senpai also hugged me.

"Always know that no matter you have a senpai here that will help you to protect your freedom. And don't worry about Nagumo since I'll help you defeat him." She said which was a pleasant surprise since know I have an ally against him. Then at that moment, I heard Matsushita.

"I also want to help you since you are Kei's boyfriend, and plus I consider you a friend for keeping my secret." She said with a teasing smile Kei blushed at her words as everyone laughed a bit, while I saw that some of the girls had sad smiles.

At this, I simply nodded at them as Asahina-senpai separated from me as I walked toward the people who remained quiet all this time which were Amasawa, and Nanase who were looking down. Everyone remained quiet as they all now knew why they were admitted into the school, which was to expel me however, no one spoke as they waited for what I was going to say.

As I was standing in front of them, I noticed how they flinched for a moment as I know what they were feeling right now, but I still spoke.

"The both of you don't need to feel ashamed, of your actions."

This caused the two of them to look at me with wide eyes as Amasawa started talking.

"B-But senpai even though I'm one of your admirers, I'm not even helping you against the other White Room students who want to take away your freedom! How can you say that to a person like me!" She said while crying as Nanase also spoke out.

"I also agree with Amasawa, even though Matsuo-san helped you to be free, I wanted to send you back to that hell, because of what that man did! How could you forgive someone like me who desired revenge against someone who just wanted to be free!"

As I heard them, they were right they both either didn't want to help me or wanted to expel me directly. In a normal sense, I wouldn't have forgiven them for this but after seeing the regret and shame on their faces I knew that I should do. So with that, I gently hugged them both which surprised them both by how they twitched when I embraced them as I spoke.

"It doesn't matter, because in the end what does matter is what you do from now on forward. And even though you may not forgive yourselves know this, no matter what happens you both will always be my kohai's, which means that I'll help with anything that you need."

After I said that I felt how they hugged me as they cried on my shoulders, but I didn't care since they needed this. We remained like this for a few moments until they stopped crying, and we separated from each other as they both had gentle smiles which told me that was now fine.

At this I nodded at them as I looked at everyone for a moment then I bowed in front of everyone as I spoke.

"All of you thank you, for accepting a person such as myself, it means a lot to me." I said as I stopped bowing and saw that they all were smiling at me, which made me feel relieved.

I then looked at the man who revealed my entire past, and also from what they said even my thoughts when I entered school. And this man was simply smiling at all of us as he spoke.

"I knew that bringing all of you here was a wise decision."

This made me realize why he did this I looked at everyone for a moment as I saw that people like Horikita, Matsushita, Hiyori, Ryuuen, Sakayanagi, Ichinose, Amasawa, and Kiryuuin-senpai had surprised looks. However as no one spoke up, I did for those who didn't understand what he meant.

"You tested us."

After hearing what I said everyone who didn't understand before had wide eyes, while Jackson simply chuckled as he spoke once again.

"Indeed Ayanokouji, I tested all of you to see if you all would accept his story, even though knowing that he had a twisted personality due to that place. And you all passed with flying colors, hell you all even surprised me with some of your reactions. With this, I can safely say that you all can truly help me with my request."

It seems that he still wants us to help him, but how can we? We were all just normal humans, albeit some of us are more stronger than others, but still human nonetheless. How can we help a being that has so much power? As I thought about how improbable we can help him, Kei spoke out.

"With all due respect, how can we even help you? Were all humans who don't have any special powers, unlike you. That and why would we help you?"

After she said that we all silently agreed with her, since why would we accept his offer. However, surprisingly he wasn't angry at what she said, rather he was amused as he started talking.

"You brought up a good point Karuizawa, but what if I told you that I can give you the power to destroy the White Room. If you accept my request that is."

When we heard him we were all surprised including me, since he was suggesting that he can give us the means to destroy the White Room. If he is correct then I can finally be free from that man forever. I looked at everyone and saw that they were looking at me with looks that told me that they were waiting for my answer since they realized that the one who should make a decision should be me. However, that doesn't mean that my decision should the same as all of them so I asked.

"Are you all sure?"

At this they all smiled which told me that they were sure that I should make the decision, I then nodded at them appreciating the fact that they wanted to help me in gaining my freedom. Even though they're all not obligated to do this and yet they still want to help me, this honestly makes me a bit confused. But not in a bad way that is, I was confused as to why I felt warm inside by seeing how these people would want to help me. It seems that I'm actually regaining my emotions, but I won't let them control me, unlike other people who let their emotions determine how they act, I can not let that happen especially against the White Room. Still thank you all once again for accepting this monster in human skin. I then looked at the being in front of me, and I asked.

"How do I know that you won't betray us?"

This was an important question since from here I can try to gauge the truth from his next words, or if he is lying to us.

"Well, I can't assure you unless you accept my request. However, I can promise you that the power I can give you all individually can help you against the White Room." He answered in a relaxed tone however, I noticed that he spoke the truth through his body language.

With that, I decided what I would say, and even though I don't know if we can complete his request but I know that in the end, I'm going to win, and I will get my freedom. So with that, I told him my answer.

"We accept."

Hello there everyone, this is my final COTE book for now, which is with DXD. To be honest I'm curious how I'm going to make this book since as you already read I brought the main characters of COTE here. Since I thought that this can be unique, I also want to announce that this will be a harem with the majority being COTE girls and only six DXD girls. However one of the COTE guys will have a DXD girl as his love interest, so I encourage all of you to predict who it is. With that said enjoy this book!
