It was an early sunny day on a beach like no other, Acapulco. From a hotel balcony there was a recently awakened Rhonda Wellington Lloyd, as she got out into the balcony taking in the breath-taking sights of the beach, a certain football-headed person crept up to Rhonda.
Arnold ensnared her into his arms and gave her a kiss on the cheek and said "Morning my princess". She giggled and said "Morning my prince charming."
Now, one could easily say Arnold married Rhonda for her money. In fact, He never cared for the money, he married her simply for how much he loves her, and how much she loves him.
When his friends asked for his reason for marrying the Lloyd Heiress, he would simply say "I love her, I never cared for her money, never did and never will. They were mostly in awe of how Arnold won Rhonda's heart. Of course, Gerald knew his bestfriend was a bold kid, but Arnold took his boldness to another when he won Rhonda's heart. But some of the others like Sid, Stinky or Harold would always tease him since they thought love was something "mushy".
And when Rhonda's friends asked her this question "I love him, I never cared of what 'class' he is or that he lived a poor life before. I love him and that's all that matters for the both of us."
Most girls found it adorable how both Arnold and Rhonda spent their time together during the school years towards later on marrying each other. But of course, when Helga overheard that conversation, She felt infuriated yet she knew she had to let Arnold go and move on from him.
"Still taking in the thought we're married?" said Arnold cheekily.
"You know, I know I'd marry someday, but never in a million years have I thought I'd be good enough to be your bride.".
Before Arnold could say anything she said "Not that I'm saying It's a bad thing or anything, I mean it may have been something i dreamed of when we were kids. But I just never thought you'd ever choose me as your wife." as her blush grew more and more.
Arnold stood with a raised eyebrow at first but then laughed and said "Rhonda please, I mean sure I could've married any other girl. But you should already know this since we started dating in high school, I've always had a crush on you since fourth grade, I just never acted out on it because I was afraid I'd get ridiculed not only by everyone, especially by you."
Rhonda turned around and put her arms around his neck then said "Oh sweetie you should know better than that. Sure I may have been a rich snobby girl back then, but you know I had a soft spot for a boy like you."
And she followed up her sentence with a slow, sensual kiss on his lips.
After a few seconds, they separated from each other and Arnold, looked goofily as ever, a look which Rhonda loved him for. She giggled and said "Oh Arnold, you always do this after we kiss, that goofy look I know you for"
They both laughed for a few seconds. Then Arnold started to say "You know honey, It feels kind of crazy how fast life has passed, one minute we were kids having such crazy adventures, the next here we're married and currently on our honeymoon."
Rhonda then turned around facing the beach and then sighed. "It really does seem crazy how much older and mature we've gotten, except maybe you since you were always mature, and I mean like a mature leader. You rarely horsed around like some of the other boys from P.S. 118.
Another reason why I love you Arnold, just such a sense of maturity."
As she turned around and kissed him on the cheek, Arnold smiled as he said "Still remember those times back in fourth grade. The Wheezing Ed adventure or that time of the stoop kid legend?'
Rhonda laughed then said "Oh but don't forget the time we got paired along with Nadine in the 'Be Uniquely You'. Which was also how my crush on you started" as she blushed a bit.
Arnold merely laughed as he kissed her cheek which made her blush furiously yet smile.
"Well believe it or not, during that time I always knew you were a beautiful person inside and out, I may have had a crush on you during that time but I never knew you'd eventually develop a crush on me."
She merely smiled but then frowned a little.
"Rhonda what's wrong?" asked Arnold.
"Oh nothing, It's just that all this talk about crushes makes me think of those horrible times I've had to endure with Curly. The guy was an absolute nutty psycho who was always obsessed with me, He black mailed me into a fake relationship which I felt disgusted about, and even tried to force me to k- k- kiss him" almost wanting to puke as she said that last part.
Arnold then had a bit of a concerned look but then wrapped his arms around her waist and kissing her cheek comforting her and said "Hey, sweetie we don't have to worry about that creep, We'll make sure he doesn't get anywhere near you, I wouldn't want anything to happen to my precious sweet princess." Kissing her cheek again.
She giggled returning the kiss on his cheek. "Arnold sweetie, you really know how to cheer me up, just like our times in middle and high school. Every time I'd ever feel down you always knew a way to cheer me up. And remember how much we'd often visit each other during the school years? My parents even back in middle school were always messing with me saying 'oh what is he your boyfriend' or going towards his place just to see your boyfriend', it was mostly mother always teasing me but looking back I find it rather funny" Rhonda said while laughing.
"You wanna know something actually funny" Arnold began. "What's that?" Rhonda said with a raised eyebrow.
"Back in fourth grade when you made that little origami 'marriage predictor', remember how you paired me and Helga?" Arnold said while he couldn't contain his laughter.
Rhonda blushed remembering that little 'marriage predictor' she had made as kids.
"Yeah I remember clearly, I still don't understand how you and Helga even got paired. I mean come on, you and Helga? Together? Please like what an absolute joke." She said while shivering.
"Like how you paired Nadine and Peapod Kid?" Arnold smirked cheekily.
"Oh Ha Ha." She said sarcastically. "You think Nadine will eventually find the right guy for her?" Arnold asked.
"You know I actually have no idea, I mean she's had crushes on guys like Tucker or Peapod Kid but I really have no idea who she may choose, for now she'll be third wheeling us until she chooses." Rhonda said cheekily
"Arnold, explain something to me" Rhonda began as Arnold looked at her.
"For as long as I can remember, Helga always had an obsession for bullying and torturing you especially. Tell me something, what could've been her motives? Did you ever do something to her, although I should already know that answer since you're such a sweet soul" Kissing his cheek as he blushed a bit. "But what could've been her motives, it's not like you did something bad to her."
Arnold thought for a moment then said "You know something my dear, I really have no clue to this day. But as of these past few months I haven't given it much thought as you're the only thought on my mind." He said as he grabbed her left hand and kissed it gently.
She couldn't help but blush furiously at his romantic side.
"Well It felt good to reflect on the past and what got us up to this point." Rhonda began. "But you know, we have a future to look forward to." She continued as she wrapped her arms around his neck while Arnold wrapped his arms around her waist.
"How many grandkids do you think we can give our parents?" She said seductively.
"Rhonda my dear, how about we don't get carried away on having too many kids shall we?" Arnold smirked as he lifted Rhonda's chin and started to kiss her passionately, soon Rhonda flicked her tongue around his.
Next thing they knew, they were both getting undressed and headed for bed for some private time..
Who knew that things from the past can really shape one's future. In this case, It shaped a beautiful relationship years later. If one things for sure, the both of them didn't regret the day they first started dating.
