Later at the funeral Alexis sits away from the others before shifting to wolf form as she howls sadly.

"Are you okay?" A voice asks revealing to be Rani as ahe sits next to Alexis.

"I guess so. I know what it's like to lose someone you care about. But it makes me happy knowing my best friend is there in times like this." Alexis says sadly.

"I'm happy you're here too. It's just hard losing her." Rani says sadly.

"Are you okay Rani?" Alexis asks.

"I will be. I'll miss having her here. I guess I thought I'd have more time to learn from her. My grandmother was so wise. She always knew the right thing to do. The right animals to welcome to the Tree of Life. What if I can't be a good queen?" Rani asks.

"You will be... but I can't say I don't understand that concern." Alexis says.

"Really?" Rani asks curiously

"Do you remember me telling you about my pack?" Alexis asks.

"Yes. You were almost at the age to learn to be a leader from your family and you were afraid of the pressure." Rani says as Alexis nods.

"Yes... One day we had a severe storm. Me and several other pups got lost. I was terrified of being a leader before that day." Alexis says.

"What happened?" Rani asks.

"I took charge. I realized the others would never do what was needed for us to get home. I took charge and led us back home through the storm. It took a lot of patience and tested my skills but I was able to brave my worry of not being able to lead. If I can do it I know you can... but in the process it left me with a scar from protecting a pup from a fallen branch." Alexis says as she shows a scar on the back of her shoulder covered by her fur.

"I never knew you had that." Rani says in surprise.

"I don't like people seeing it. So I keep it covered with my fur." Alexis says.

"We all have our scars Alexis. Sisi Ni Sawa. It's something my grandmother says. It means..." Rani says as she shows a scar on her front leg.

"We're the same." Alexis says.

"Yes. How did you know?" Rani asks curiously.

"My mom." Alexis says.

"Much like Janna would for me. Even if I wasn't ready for the answer she would give me. She always said exactly what I needed to hear. And talking to her always made me feel better." Rani says as she smiles.

"You're so much like Janna. Much more than you may realize." Alexis says as she smiles at Rani.

"Oh. Well, I...I hope to be." Rani says as she blushes before walking off as Alexis walks off.
