The rain splattered on the sand. Kujou Sara, the leader of the Inazuma clan… For once of her life is glad that the rain is pouring down her face. She could façade her falling tears. Her heart was beating loudly in her chest. She clenched the bow she was holding, it was trembling in frustration and anger.
If only… She was strong enough. She could have protected her in one swift motion. But no… She was the one that needed to be protected. She was ashamed of herself. She was supposed to be the one who…
"Stop crying." A voice made her sucked her breath. Sara's eyes widened, she looked up to see the most beautiful girl her heart always adored.
Sara opened her mouth, no words came out. She then closed it in realization. Ahh… Of course… Only Shogun could tell her emotions. They've been together for ages. Sara blinked back her tears.
"I'm not crying. I'm a leader, I shouldn't show any weakness. Not in front of my subordinates."
Shougun raised an eyebrow at her. She stepped forwards and slapped Sara on her cheek. Sara gasped, catching her foot and blinked in surprise at the sudden strike.
"Y-You excellency…" Sara quickly kneeled down before her, not daring to raise her face to look directly into her eyes.
"Stop being disgraceful." Shogun snapped.
Sara jolted, yet she continued bowing down in front of her.
"Do you realize that you almost lost your life just now?"
"I'm sorry. I-" Sara paused when Shogun cut her sentence.
"You don't get it at all, do you?"
Sara looked at her, their eyes met. Those are the eyes of anger. She lost her words at those eyes. For a moment Shogun continued glaring down at her before she turned around and left her in the rain, alone. Sara stared at her back. Her heart clenched. It was like she's fading further and further away from her. Her gold eyes blinked, she looked down to the sand below her. She clenched her eyes shut and punched the sand.
"Shit!" She cursed out loud. No one's gonna hear her like this. It was the time when she's alone she could let out her emotions. Her tears ran freely down her cheek.
If only she's stronger… She could protect someone she loves the most.
"How can I protect the girl I love if I'm weak?" She breathed out.
Sara hissed as the pain shot through her arm. She looked at the wound, frowning and wondered if she's strong enough to pull the bow string. She clenched and unclenched her fist, testing the power of her grip. She looked at the bow and touched it, slowly raising it, weighing it a little in her hand. She stood up and drew the string.
"Are you stupid?"
Sara jerked and looked behind her. There, stood Shogun, wearing her nightgown and leaning against the door of her room. Sara gulped, setting the bow down. She's the only person she cannot sense coming.
"Do you even spare some time to rest?" Shogun walked inside and crossed her arms.
"Uhh…" Sara paused, blinking, thinking if rest is indeed permitted in this urgent situation.
Frowning at the answer, Shogun sighed. "Give me the aid kit."
"Wait, are you going to take care of my wound? You shouldn't-"
"Do you dare to defy me?" Shogun shot her a look.
Sara shut her mouth and took the box. She meekly gave her the aid kit without saying anything.
Shogun pulled her arm and examined the bandage Sara did for herself. "Do you know why I slapped you?"
Shogun unwrapped the un-neat part of the bandage, taking the clip from inside the box and re-wrapped her bandage tightly. Sara hissed at the pain; she shook her head to answer her. Shogun neatly finished the bandage and patted her arm. She pulled Sara's chin to make her look directly at her. Gold eyes met purple. It was like Shogun's eyes burned into Sara's soul. The blue-haired girl did her best to keep eye-contact, the blush spread across her cheeks as the nervousness creeped in. Shogun leaned in, not taking her eyes off of her. Sara's heart beating faster at the feel of her breaths an inch before her lips. The scent of Shogun's perfume wafting on her nostrils. Sara's lips trembled the time Shogun rubbed her lips against her, her eyes widened in surprise. The warmth of those soft plumped lips touching hers was beyond what she could expect to happen. Did Shogun know?
"Mmh-" Sara gasped when Shogun pressed on. Shogun pressed her lips harder, kissing her open-mouthed. Sara blinked; her eyes half closed. The highest rank of the Kujo Clan, Inazuma leader, was kissing her. Her heart could explode. Shogun moved her lips. Sara closed her eyes, she felt her face getting hotter by the second. She tried to imitate what she did to her, kissing her back in confusion yet yearning for more contact of her lips. The moment Sara started kissing Shogun back, the purple-haired girl pulled away. Sara sucked on her breath, lips trembling by mixed emotions. Sara licked her wet lips, fingers touching her lips. Her face was aflame. "W-Why did you-"
"Take care of yourself more. That's an order." Shogun whispered.
Sara was stunned.
"Don't try to hide it anymore, because I know." Shogun smirked. "From today onwards, I won't allow any self-sacrifice coming from you." She paused, blinking and blushed. She tucked the strands of her hair behind her ears and looked to the side. "I don't want to lose you."
Sara opened her mouth; it suddenly went dry. She was gaping like a fish at the honesty coming from the Raiden Shogun.
"Ah- I'm… Yes, mam!" Sara replied, putting her hand on her chest in a salute manner.
"Stop that, silly. It's just the two of us here. Loosen up a bit." Shogun hissed.
Both of them looked at each other. Sara's face turned bright red. She raised her arm to hide her face. The room felt so much hotter now.
"Am I… That obvious?" She asked after a few seconds of silence.
"You're oblivious." Shogun said with a smile. She looked at her in the eyes and leaned in to peck her lips. She drew back and raised to her feet, leaving Sara in her cloud-nine state.
"Rest well." Shogun said once she reached the door. Suddenly Shogun turned around to glare at her. "And don't you dare touch that bow for the time being."
Sara gulped and nodded. "I won't." She raised her hands in defeat.
"Good. Wait until it heals." Shogun said and walked out of the room. She closed the door behind her and Sara sighed in relief.
For a few moments, she touched her lips. The lingering feeling made her cheeks warm.
"Damn it… She's soft, yet her presence is too powerful…" Sara cupped her blushing face. Shogun is the only person that's allowed to see her like this.
The End
