It's been 21 years since I found myself as Nofumi Iwatani, and I must say I have prepared for my new body's "original fantasy world summoning", to the best of my abilities.

"How could you have done that?" You're asking. Well after my original death, which was one of many health related deaths I could have suffered at the time. I found myself in a rather grand throne room.

No one of any note was there to greet me. Only when I approached the raised dias the throne was seated on did I see a stark white piece of paper taped to its plush red velvet cushions.

Walking up to the chair I pulled the paper off to read what it said.

" Heyo lost soul just clap your hands to set things into motion here. I've got some pussy to slay good luck in your next life. Signed your most handsome and charming and muscular and talented and handsome and charming ROB."

'Well fuck it let's see what's gonna happen', I thought while sighing. Clapping my hands the lights vanished in the room suddenly and a cacophonous bang reverberated throughout the space. Just as suddenly as the original lighting vanished four spotlights activated bringing my eyes to the objects placed beneath.

Four different roulette wheels were arranged around the dias. Deciding to investigate them I walked down the stairs to see what they said.

They seemed to all separately affect where, how, who, and the amount of additional boons I would get in my next life.

Approaching the first wheel again which would decide how I would arrive in the next world. I reached out to the lever and pulled hoping for something good.

With a roar similar to a diesel engine the wheel took off at an insane pace. The ticking of the arrow that would decide my fate slowing as the time continues. My fate soon made itself clear as the wheel landed on…

Transmigration.

'Cool cool. Let's move on to the world wheel now. Please a world I know… please a world I know…' I kept repeating as I pulled the next lever. A plethora of universes I recognized and an even larger amount I hadn't passed me by as the wheel spun.

Still muttering to myself as I took a step back and crossed my fingers. I shut my eyes waiting for the last tick of the wheel. Luckily the suspense ended shortly after. Opening my eyes slowly the universe ended up being, The Rising of the Shield Hero.

'Okay that's not the best result I could have hoped for but seeing as the surrounding choices were Deadman Wonderland and Elfen Lied. I can't really be too upset with this.' I thought to myself as I shuffled over to the next wheel.

This wheel is filled with characters that are a part of the RSH universe, with the option to be a custom character as well. 'Let's hope for either someone who is a part of the main storyline or a random mob who I can inhabit and just enjoy my life in a new world' I thought to myself. Once again I crossed my fingers as I pulled the lever and watched the wheel spin.

Nawafumi Iwatani… that's what the section read. 'Of course it had to be him…' I thought as I sighed heavily again.

'Well shit at least I know how his story goes and sure it's not gonna be easy but at least I know what I'm in for when it comes time for the story to start. Yeah this could definitely have been worse.' I thought.

Finally it was time for the last wheel. This last spin would decide just how many other boons I would receive. Shutting my eyes again after grasping the handle I pulled back the lever and waited.

Once the ticking stopped I took a deep breath and slowly opened my eyes.

"FUCK YESSSSSSSSSS!" I threw my arms up and yelled towards the ceiling. Spinning around in a circle I began to laugh again until I stopped facing the wheel.

The result was a 4. Not a 1 or a 0 but a 4. Which were the only two numbers I really didn't want to get. This left me with options especially with the innate skills Naofumi already has.

With the final wheel having been spun another lighting change took place. This time revealing a large computer with a list of boons I could pick from as well as an open text box to input any requests to be accepted by the system.

'Okay what to choose?' I thought as I checked my memories on the series. I already will have intoxication immunity, motion sickness immunity, and also an affinity with monsters.

First of all I chose when I would transmigrate into Naofumi, since it was free. Deciding that I might as well take over his body right away, I will awaken as soon as he is born.

Next I choose my first boon, inventory. Which was an infinite space that I could place any kind of non living item within. Allowing me to bring items from my world into the new one and see what kind of upgrades my future shield would get.

Second I choose my magical affinities. This was slightly op as I was allowed to select four here as well without them all costing more than one boon. I chose healing, barrier, enchantment, and reinforcement.

My third wish is based on the fact that I have a theory about Malty's situation. This ability would help me with my theory and also in a few other circumstances in this world. The boon is Omni purification, which allows the welder to purify anyone or anything. There is a bit of a cool down between uses but you can break that limitation for a bit of a penalty.

My final wish is for supernatural stamina. Seeing as I won't have the ability to attack and aid my companions that way. I would ensure I could at least have the power to defend them until the very end.

After I clicked accept on the screen my eyelids became heavy and I found my…..

*SLAP*

"WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHWWWWWAHHHH ", I shrieked like a banshee.

This was all too sudden.

There was no pause to adjust to what just happened to me. It was like I nodded off for a millisecond and then suddenly the most excruciating pain I have ever felt.

"Hiccup… sniff sniff," after being sat down I see blurry giants in white hovering around me. My skin feels uncomfortable from the chill in the room. And as suddenly as that slap I am up in the air being baby handled by a… doctor?

I could hear discussions happening around me and suddenly I feminen voice reaches my ears.

The doctor suddenly extends me out to the new person and all I feel is a sense of warmth. Like a blanket was wrapped around me on a dreary day. The care and love this person has for me washes over me in a tsunami like wave.

Looking up I see a smile and a pair of beautiful green eyes filled with warmth looking down at me. I smile, laugh and reach out to her which makes her smile grow wider as she plays with my tiny hands. She speaks quiet words to me in comforting tones before the loud sound of a slamming door interrupts her, making me jump and give out a short cry of fear.

Her eyes narrowed as she looked at the tall spikey haired man that entered the room. Once again I was lifted up into the air after being enthusiasticly scooped up by the man. He seemed to be celebrating as he spun me around in a circle laughing like a madman.

Getting a small giggle out of me as well

The voice of my mother however caused him to stop in his tracks and awkwardly hand me back to her.

Joining us on the bed, they began playing with my hands and giving me kisses. However this entire ordeal had taken all of my energy. Letting out a cute yawn I began to fall asleep in my mother's arms.

However before I slipped off into dreamland. I heard it. In a soft voice full of love my mother called out my name.

Naofumi…. Naofumi Iwatani.
