Yes, the first chapter was too fast, it was a tester chapter, the idea was too new but I have a better flow in mind.
People pointed out to me that Kakashi likely has severe depression. As someone with depression and bipolar, I get apathetic a lot... Kakashi likely does too.
Grabbing Kakashi by his hair, Kanade dragged the groaning man into a distant room. Before she fully left, Kanade silently created a single shadow clone. "Talk to the kids, watch the perimeter."
"Yes, Ma'am!" The clone said before Kanade left fully, throwing Kakashi into the wall.
He couldn't even sit up before she had her knee to his chest. "Give me a reason I shouldn't tear your eyes out, Kashi?"
He shivered, her killing intent flairing so potently that even Orochimaru would have run in terror. "I ... was busy in ANBU, then with the missions that were presently needed after not only the Kyuubi attack but the Uchiha clan massacure..." He sighed and said the one thing he could have to stem her anger. "It hurt to look at him, to remember Minato and Kushina and Obito. I was so angry when I first lost them, I turned to work for Danzo and..." A single tear dropped down Kashi's face.
She dropped down and pulled off his mask, then kissed his forehead making him blush. "I love your pretty face, never got why you masked it up." She leaned her head against his forehead and pulled him into a close hug. "When I learned Kushi died, I nearly killed myself. I am not joking, she was my only family, my only anything. I left to make a name for myself, but she was still my stars and moon, she could do no wrong in my eyes. I get it, Kakashi... I am so sorry."
He pulled her tight and kissed her right back on her cheek. "I failed him you are right, but I... I don't know how to do better. I am so apathetic since losing everyone."
"That's called depression, Kakashi... and it is affecting your Chakra. I can tell, it's so less potent than it should be given your age and experience." She pulled away. "I am a healer, trained in both physical and mental care. I will help you, my love."
He laughed." You haven't called me that in almost a decade and a half."
"I liked making you blushing, that and randomly licking Obito's cheeks." They both laughed, remembering the older days. "We need to do better, Kakashi, they deserve better. I will help you, The Old man will not deny me the chance to raise Naruto. I will act as envoy with Mist, you know the Leaf needs it."
"I will push for it... I missed you, Kanade."
"Sorry for the punch and the hair pulling."
He laughed at her. "I deserved it a little..."
"Let's got back to the kids, we can talk grown up later. Oh and Kakashi, you were a cute kid, you are a delicious adult." He could not stop the deep red that crossed his skin as they left the room.
They both heard the clone telling a mystified Naruto, and curious Sakura and Sasuke telling the tale of Minato and Kushina's meeting. "And since then, she called her red hair her red string of fate." Naruto was crying, his beautiful chakra filling the room with warmth. Sakura was also crying, and Sasuke looked moved though he hid it well.
Rubbing his eyes, Naruto saw them first. "Aunt Kanade, how did you and Mom meet and how did you end up here?"
Laughing, she turned to her clone. "This area is poor due to Gato, get us something to eat. I sensed some deer nearby." The clone kissed Naruto's forehead and vanished. Kanade and Kakashi both sat next to each other, Kanade grabbed his hand and held it fast, making him blush more. "You can thank Kakashi actually. My mother was a prostitute and dancer living in a village near the Leaf. She was teaching me to dance one day when I turned Nine, when there was a skirmish nearby home. A rock Jutsu buried my home but Kakashi and Kushina found me, Kakashi kept me alive with CPR before Kushina fought off the ninja and butchered them for what they did. Attacking civilians is a major crime for Ninja, as you all should be aware.
Anyway, Kushina became my lifeline, she took me to the hospital and she stayed with as often as she could. I begged her for training, to never be so helpless... and to honor my mother, who had perished. So she agreed, almost immediately. She assessed me for my talents and realized my dancing skills could be a huge help. I was her personal apprentice, never a legal Leaf Ninja. She was a great teacher... she taught me kenjutsu, taijutsu, wind and water jutsu, how to seal and the basics of healing since your mother was actually a mildly proficient healer like most Uzumaki's. Your dense chakra make you excellent healers and sealers.
I trained for two years... until Rin's Death. Rin was your father's student, she was forced to become the vessel for the Three Tailed beast and used as a bomb. She forced Kakashi to kill her. I left the Leaf to fight Mist after that, not just because I liked Rin but because I was tired of the evils I heard coming out of Mist. They were already targeting their bloodline users, and they played a part in the death of the Uzumakis a decade before. I was arrogant as hell is what I was. I was jonin level by then, your mother was a grueling teacher and I fought on many a mission with your mother. I managed to make a name for myself during the water, the Dancing Storm, due to my affinities being water, wind and lighting as well as my Dance like taijutsu and Kenjutsu style.
I served as a Ronin for a time until the Bloodline wars started and I had to help. I saved hundreds, and when it turned into a full civil war I fought for the Rebels. My friend Mei served as it's head and when we won she took over. She asked me to collect missing Ninja that fled, including Zabuza. You saw his power, a High A rank Ninja is a huge boon to any village, plus his little pet Haku. A powerful Ice User to restore that clan... a huge help. I was going to Kill Gato for his evil but also to help Mist gain more connections, which is how I saw you. It is destiny, it has to be."
Naruto beamed and threw himself into her arms. " I am so glad to meet you! There is so much you can teach me... how strong are you, Zabuza said you were strong and you said you could fight The Old man!"
She laughed. " I am S rank, likely one the of the strongest Ninja alive. I saw Orochimaru fight as a kid, I know I am easily his level. Not your parents though, they had way more raw power, but I will get there. And yes, I can teach you, all of you. Naruto, your friends... Kakashi hasn't taught you much, has he?"
Kakashi answered for her. "No, but again, apathy and depression... I messed up, Kanade. We can teach them together if you want."
She nodded. "I would love that. Why don't we discuss talents now, so I can make up a training regimen."
Kakashi pointed to Naruto. "More chakra than all of us combined, shadow clones, healing factor that makes Kushina's looks like nothing, weak in all other ways but that was due to no instruction and poor teachers I believe. Sakura is a paper ninja at the moment, with great form but little skill. She fell for a weak genjutsu, so she needs serious focus training, same as Naruto. Sasuke is easily Chunin level, with great reserves, the fire ball jutsu, amazing throwing skills even for an Uchiha, great taijutu, fantastic form and battle intelligence but he is lacking in a few ways. It would be easier for you to spar them all."
Naruto was pouting and Sakura was too.
Kanade reached out with her senses. "Sakura's chakra is weak and low, we need to work on that majorly...yours too Kakashi, I can help there. Naruto and Sasuke need control training, their chakra's are vast but wild. If Naruto has the shadow clones, we can use them to correct his form easily and help Sakura get more stamina... why not have them practice on the water, and Naruto fights Sakura with his clones? Naruto gets control in both chakra and form. Sakura gains experience and increases her frankly far too weak muscles, while also increasing her stamina, I mean she has no muscles on her at all. Sasuke, if he is so advanced, can spar with you on the water. The real Naruto can spar with me with and without clones to pass on my corrections to his form."
Kakashi looked sheepish. "One problem... they can't water walk... or surface cling. Told you I messed up..."
She sighed. "I will kill you if you continue messing up, but for now I forgive you. Come on kiddos, time for basic chakra control lessons."
And like that, they all hurried outside, with oddly Sasuke looking the most excited.
