Chapter 1: A not so great New Year
It was 11:58 p.m. at shelter 17. all the dogs were ready to celebrate new year's eve and start 2014. Lucky, Cookie, Squirt, Strudel, Niblet, Rebound, Cupcake, and Patches. were very excited to celebrate. "Its almost time, when the clock reaches midnight, be ready!" Lucky said. "got it!" said everyone. "When we're done, we go back to are owners, okay?" Lucky said. "yes sir!" said everyone. cookie walked up to Lucky. "everything okay?" Cookie asked. "yeah, We made a lot of memories this year, I'm ready for new memories!" he said. "Is everything okay Lucky?" she asked. "I'm fine it's just that, ever since I started talking to Dot, I always wondered if I talked to her parents, I might make them go insane" Lucky said. "Don't worry Lucky, just focus on the good for now and we'll talk about later." Cookie said. "okay." he said. as the clock struck midnight, everyone cheered and danced as the new year came.
10 Minutes later...
Lucky went home to rest after a long day. dot came outside to welcome him. "Happy new year Mister Chewy McFluffster!!" Dot said happily. "Happy new year dot, lets get some shuteye." Lucky said while tired. the two went inside and went bed and fell asleep instantly.
The next day...
"Dot, come downstairs!" Ms Henderson Called. "coming!" she said.
after breakfast...
"Dot, we need to talk about something." Ms Henderson said "what is it mom?" Dot said Anxiously. "its about the dog, honey." She said. dot and lucky looked at each other for a little bit. "What about him?" Dot asked. lucky looked scared as he feared the worst. "Honey, has Mister Chewy McFluffster been acting weird lately??" she asked. "No, why?" she asked. "well, he been gone at times, and we wanna where he's going?" Ms Henderson asked politely. "Well here's the truth, you see-"
Before she could finish her sentence, the living room TV turned on with some breaking news."We'll finish talking later, but right now lets chack the news." Mr Henderson said. The family gathered in the. in the living room to hear the news. "Hello, If you watching this broadcast, then something is happening to our beloved city." said the news reporter. "moments ago, 3 people were turned into robots, then ten more, then 18 more, then 19 more, and so on." he said. "innocent people are being turned into robots, we don't know what's behind this, but last night at 3:55 a.m. a mysterious blimp appeared out of nowhere. We not sure if the world is ending or worse, but all we can do is hope." said the news reporter. "please evacuate the city." he said before the TV turned into static. "We need to go now!" Lucky said. But he soon realized that he spoke in front of Dots Parents. "Did our dog just talk?!" Said Mr Henderson. Lucky heard screaming outside and he knew he had to save his friends. "Follow me!" Lucky said. Lucky sprinted to one of the secret underground Pound Puppy tunnels.
"This way!" Lucky said. he jumped into the tunnels,they were big enough for the Henderson's to fit in. they followed lucky to the shelter 17 H.Q. Once they got there, Mr and Ms Henderson. were shocked to see underground base made by Dogs. "Lucky we have to- are those, did you?!"" Cookie said while confused. "No time explain! we have to go now!" Lucky exclaimed. they all followed him out of the underground base and back to the surface. they all followed lucky into a nearby forest, as they watched as their city become a robot factory.
1 hour later...
The gang made it out alive, but lost their city. They went into a nearby forest for temporary shelter. Lucky explained everything that happened to dots parents, who were still shocked. "So you dogs can talk and have been talking to dot ever since you meet her?" He asked. Lucky nodded. "I finally understand why you didn't want us find out he talks." he said to dot. "you where afraid we would go insane or worse." he said. "yeah." dot said quietly. Mr and Ms Henderson hugged dot while she cried. Lucky felt bad for dot losing there new home. Lucky shed a tear and his friends noticed it. "Lucky's Crying, I never seen him cry before." Cookie said. "I thought lucky never cried once in his life." Squirt said. mores tear ran down his cheek. Niblet, and the super secret pup club looked at each other felling bad for Lucky. "He's letting out his emotions out." Strudel said. lucky began to sob softly. dot noticed lucky crying and embraced him. everyone hugged lucky as he continued to cry his emotions out.
