Valentine's Day was such a relief. Marinette and Luka loved their careers, but they were running around in circles and could barely spend time alone together.
Now they had an excuse to meet again at a hotel. In fact, both of them put their foot down and demanded time off for Valentine's Day, so they could spend an amazing romantic rendezvous together.
But Luka still had to avoid paparazzi and fans as he rushed to the hotel. When he finally got inside, he wiped the sweat off his forehead and caught his breath. He left a trail of petals from the pink rose bouquet he was carrying.
Luka sighed to himself, thinking how the bouquet he was going to give to Marinette was kind of ruined. But his heart skipped a beat when he heard his phone and saw a message from Marinette saying, "I'm almost there!" with a heart emoji. He managed to smile genuinely, even if he needed to get a new bouquet.
Luka looked around for her and saw a bunch of excited hotel guests, their voices filling the entire lobby.
With no sign of Marinette, Luka saw a pink rose fall from the huge bouquet, and then he turned to the hotel's flower shop.
He quickly made his way there. The cashier greeted him with a smile. Luka promptly pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket and asked for as many pink roses this amount of money could pay for to be sent to the hotel room.
"Sounds like a very lucky lady," the cashier remarked.
Luka smirked to himself. "Yes, she is, thank you so much," he said before leaving the flower shop.
Luka still kept the other bouquet in hand as he headed for the front desk.
"I'm coming through!"
A lovely lady with her hair tied up and running as quickly as she could in high heels made her way to the front desk. She made small talk with the concierge, and they shared some laughs.
Luka smiled at her, feeling so dazed by his affection for her. No matter how much time passed while they were apart, she was still his Marinette.
"Marinette," saying her name was like a sweet melody on his lips.
She turned to him, and her face lit up even more.
"Luka!"
Luka felt a huge rush as Marinette jumped into his arms. He twirled her in the air before setting her down.
"I missed you!" Marinette cried as she held him as tightly as she could.
"I missed you too!" Luka said as he stroked her back.
And without missing a beat, Marinette gave Luka a sweet kiss on the lips. Luka kissed her back, enjoying the sweet taste of strawberry lip gloss on her soft lips. Marinette popped her leg up as he cupped her face with her hand to deepen the kiss. This was all too bold to do inside a hotel lobby, but they smiled it off when they broke the kiss and rested their foreheads together.
Then the scent of roses filled Marinette's nose. She noticed that Luka had got her a bouquet bigger than her head.
"Oh Luka, they are beautiful!" Marinette cried.
Luka blushed and turned away. "They are a bit dinged."
Marinette took a rose from the bouquet and held it to her nose. "I love them!"
But then Marinette wasted no time and placed the rose in her shirt collar before taking Luka's hand.
"You have to tell me how your trip went," Marinette said. Luka smiled at her. "Let me carry your things for you," he said.
There was a lot of playful banter as they headed up the elevator and walked through the halls to get to their hotel room. Marinette gasped when she saw even more pink roses that sat outside the door of their room. As if Luka had made her an entire garden.
Luka gave her a coy smile, and Marinette attacked him with kisses all over his face. She kissed him hard enough to mark him generously with lipstick stains and spoke in a thousand ways about how much she loved this man.
Marinette honestly wasn't sure what to do with all those roses though. But she certainly felt like the luckiest lady alive to have a boyfriend like Luka.
And after much anticipation, Marinette and Luka were finally able to eat dinner together in the candlelight. The food was delicious, but Marinette surprised Luka when she said she made dessert herself. Luka didn't mind. In fact, he much rather have one of Marinette's beautiful desserts.
Marinette left the room and came back with a few velvet-decorated boxes. While she was gone, Luka took out his violin and played a romantic tune, and Marinette sat back at the table with him.
"Happy Valentine's Day, my love," Marinette said as she opened the boxes.
Marinette made delicately decorated black and white chocolate-covered strawberries and her famous macarons. These macarons, in particular, were dark rose pink, dark chocolate, and dark raspberry red.
Luka was speechless, but he put down his violin and moved closer to cup Marinette's chin with his hand.
"Melody…" He said softly. Marinette grinned at his pleased tone.
"These are fantastic, but I would expect nothing less from the most talented woman in Paris. Happy Valentine's Day, my love," Luka said as he moved in to kiss her lips.
Marinette moaned from the pleasure of his sweet kiss but broke it off quickly to grab a macaron and place it in his mouth. She then picked herself up.
"Go ahead and enjoy them. I'm going to get the wine," Marinette said.
Luka took another delicious macaron to eat as he watched his girlfriend bring back the bottle of wine. Marinette poured the sparkly pink wine into two glasses.
Luka felt he was in heaven. Him and his girlfriend feeding each other decadent chocolate-covered strawberries while drinking wine. But while they were having fun, he accidentally spilled the sparkly liquid on his chest.
Luka gasped, feeling absolutely foolish but Marinette glanced at his slightly exposed muscular chest sprayed with her favorite pink wine.
Luka grabbed a rag from the table, but Marinette grabbed his arm to stop him. Marinette's bluebell eyes gleamed as she moved her hand to stroke his cheek and then moved her face to kiss his collarbone and drink the pink wine off of him. Luka arched his head back and softly moaned as Marinette nipped his skin.
It tasted so sweet, and Marinette enjoyed it like a ladybug sipping nectar from a vibrant flower. Luka ran his fingers through Marinette's dark hair as Marinette savored every last drop on him. She was slightly disappointed that there was only some much she could drink off of him, but then she looked up, and Luka gently pulled her in for a soft kiss.
But when Luka's phone notification went off, the kiss they shared broke, and both of them felt their faces heat up. Luka checked his phone and then looked at Marinette. "Just a moment, I need to take this call." Marinette nodded, and Luka stepped out to the balcony to answer the call.
Little did he know, as he stood on the balcony and talked on the phone, Marinette grabbed as many pink roses as she could carry and disappeared while giggling.
Luka smiled as he glanced back at the hotel room, and when he finished the call, he noticed steam coming out of the bathroom. Confused, Luka walked up to the slightly opened door and took in the scent of lavender bath salt before giving the door a soft knock.
"Marinette?"
Marinette giggled. "Come in, Luka."
Luka had many questions but opened the door to see Marinette drawing a bath.
He walked up behind her and saw she filled the bathtub with pink roses. He wrapped his arms around her and held her against his beating heart.
"Do you like what I did?" Marinette said.
Luka held her tighter and nuzzled her. "It does look relaxing, but that's a lot of roses."
Marinette smirked and shook her head. "I'm not sure what I would do with all those roses you bought me Luka."
Suddenly Marinette took Luka by the hand.
"Come on, let's get in!" Marinette cried as he took her boyfriend away.
It was all too tempting. And Luka felt himself falling in love with Marinette all over again as she got into the rose water and smiled at him. Luka sighed in relief as he got in with her and felt the warm rose water on his skin.
"I might never get out," Luka said as he laid back.
Luka sat up at the sound of Marinette giggling and saw Marinette holding a chocolate-covered strawberry. The rockstar was overjoyed to see more dessert by the bathtub and moved closer to Marinette as she fed him the strawberry.
Luka gave out a pleased hum. So much pleasure in one moment. A bath full of roses, more dessert, and his beautiful girlfriend to share all this with. He laced his hand in hers and smiled. "Why haven't we done this before?"
Marinette winked at him. "Well, our relationship only ever goes to the next level."
Luka chuckled as he pulled her closer, so she was sitting on his lap.
"How did I get this lucky?" He said as he gave her light kisses on her cheek and temple.
Marinette took a moment to splash him with a little bit of water. "I'm the lucky one!"
Marinette moved to the other side of the bathtub and turned to see Luka shaking bathwater out of his hair and looking adorable as he smiled at her. But his smile also looked a bit devious.
Luka scooped some rose water into his hands, and Marinette had nowhere to hide as her boyfriend towered over her and poured water on her head.
Marinette laughed as she pushed her dark hair out of her face. Luka smiled and gently took a lock of her hair in his hand. He noticed how smooth and sparkly it looked from the bath water. After moments of staring into each other's eyes, a few whole pink roses floated in their direction, two of which they picked from the water. Marinette took in the scent of the rose, and Luka ran his fingers through her hair, gently placing the pink rose in her dark locks. He thought Marinette was glowing as he cupped her chin with his hand, and she smiled at him. The bath water felt much warmer now, and they didn't even turn up the heat. They kissed each other in hunger and continued to feel every inch of each other until they spilled too much water on the floor.
After enough fun, Marinette smiled at her boyfriend and tried to lift herself out. "I think we're clean enough now."
But in one swift move, Luka wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap. She giggled while he played with a lock of her hair with his finger. "Maybe I don't want to leave yet," he replied huskily as he kissed her neck. As much as Marinette was enjoying Luka's gentle touch and kisses that always made pleasure bubble up within her, she had to be firm.
"But my fingers are wrinkly," Marinette said. She laced her hand with his and noted how they had a bit too much fun as Luka's guitar-playing hands also felt like prunes. "We've been here too long, and I want to lie in bed."
Marinette turned to Luka and took a moment to lay her head on his muscular chest while drawing a pattern with her finger. "Besides, we can do this again soon," Marinette suggested. "Maybe next time we could use a bath bomb that makes a beautiful galaxy of stars."
Luka made a pleased hum as he wrapped his arm around her. "Ok, as you wish, my melody."
Before Marinette could think, Luka picked her up bridal style. Marinette thanked their lucky stars that they didn't slip and fall as they left the tub and grabbed the bathrobes that were offered.
Marinette wanted to just lie down with Luka, but Luka didn't want Marinette to catch a cold. So Marinette sat down on the bed and dried her hair with a towel before she grabbed her hairbrush. But Luka got behind her and brushed her hair, and she felt so at peace as Luka brushed her hair while whispering sweet nothings and humming melodies.
Then when Marinette's hair was finally dried, she let out a soft yawn and laid on the bed in a slight seductive way. Her bluebell eyes also sparkled with desire. But as Marinette laid down waiting for him, Luka quickly got up, dimmed the lights, then picked up a lighter and lit some candles on the nightstand. Luka turned back to see Marinette lying on her side while picking petals off a pink rose to sprinkle on the bed. Marinette blushed when she noticed Luka was done placing candles and sprinkled the last bit of rose petals on the bed. Then without missing a beat, she took his hand and gently pulled him onto the bed next to her.
And Luka didn't want to keep Marinette waiting. They started kissing playfully as they helped each other unrobe. Then they covered themselves with blankets for a moment to breathe.
As the two of them lay in silence, staring into each other's eyes and being so content, Luka stroked her cheek with his hand.
"I know I say "I love you" every day of my life, and even if this is one of the best days of my life, I honestly don't like how commercial this holiday is," Luka said softly.
Marinette's smile widened as she rolled her eyes. She giggled as Luka stroked her blushing face with his thumb.
"But I will say it again, and every single day as long as I live. I love you, Marinette. I love you, my dearest melody."
Marinette giggled and lightly placed her hand on his cheek, causing him to grin.
"I know Luka! I love you too! I love you so much!"
And then Marinette sneak attacked Luka with a sweet kiss on the lips as she threw off the blanket that concealed her body. She also sneakily removed the blanket covering Luka's waist as he returned her kiss with an even deeper kiss. While they kissed vigorously, Marinette wrapped her legs around Luka's to bring herself closer to him. Luka complied with her movements and wrapped his arms around her waist to bring her closer to him.
They rolled over, so Luka was on top of her and continued the rest of Valentine's Day with a sensual act of love. The cool breeze from the balcony could only do so much to cool the heat they were producing. The blue glow of the moonlight made the two of them glow as the only noises that came from the bedroom were soft moans and satisfied gasps.
Then the two of them fell asleep in each other's arms, smiling as if time stood still and they were at peace. Marinette laid her head on Luka's chest and was so pleased that Luka's heartbeat sounded so happy and content.
The two of them didn't realize how much they missed each other and needed each other's touch and embrace until they made a romantic escape to a hotel room on Valentine's Day.
And the moonlight and the stars certainly watched over the restless lovers wherever they headed next.
When Luka laced his hand with Marinette's before he fell asleep, he silently prayed that they could make another escape soon. But Marinette was determined to run away with Luka wherever they wanted.
