He woke up with a gasp. The first thing I noticed is that this is not his room. In fact, he was not even in a room. Just one look around was enough to tell him that he was in a fucking warehouse. Did he get kidnapped?

He was mentally freaking out right now. Who? Why? He was not rich. He had a job, true, but he definitely did not make that much money to get kidnapped for ransom.

First thing first, he needed to calm down. Inhale. Exhale… It took some times, maybe 5 minutes, but he was able to stop freaking out a bit. Now that he thought about it, there was something weird attached to his arm. Some weird mechanical thing was on his arm, and… is that a fucking Yugioh deck. He recognized that swirling design anywhere.

Yeah, it was absolutely a Yugioh deck. To be spefic, it was a Floowandereeze deck. There was Nobina here, Eglen, Enpen and other cards like Raiza as well... Did that mean the thing on his arm was a duel disk?! Did he somehow get transported to Yugioh world?!

Yeah, right. As if. Maybe it was just some kind of cosplay. Why did someone put these things on him though? He should stop being delusional and figure out why He was in the middle of fucking nowhere. He didn't think he drank that much yesterday.

He walked out of the warehouse and another unfamiliar scenery greeted him. Was he even still in LA? He should find someone to tell him where the fuck this place was. He still had to go to school today for fuck sake, or else his mom would kill him.

An hour later…

HOW?! WHY THE FUCK WAS HE IN JAPAN!? NO FUCKING WAY THIS IS REAL?!

Apparently, he was in Paradise City in Japan. He was not a Japan expert by any means, but he was sure as hell there was no city named Paradise in Japan. And how the fuck did he understand Japanese anyway? He knew some words here and there thanks to anime, but there was no fucking way he can talk Japanese to a native person. Didn't the deck he has was also in Japanese?

The city name was familiar though. He thought he heard it before, but he can't really remember it right now. However, this was not the worst thing. The worst thing was that he can't call anyone in his contact list. Did all the people he knew suddenly have their phone broken or something?

Some loud noise caught his attention. On the side was an unreal scene. There were 2 dueling, and their cards were visulize right in front of them. He was speechless. Was this really happening? Did he actually get transported into Yugioh? The final thing that destroyed his doubt was the big tower that had LDS on it. Now that he knew why the city name was familiar, it was the city in fucking Yugioh Arc-V.

He was freaking out again. No, he needed to calm down. Freaking out wouldn't solve anything. Honestly, it could be worse. He could be in Attack on Titan and getting eat by a titan right now. If he was truly in Arc-V, he needed to remember what happened in the series. Information is power after all.

To be real though, he didn't remember much. He knew this was where Konami introduced Pendulum, and the generic plot, but the details escaped him.

THAT'S RIGHT! There was a way to go to different dimensions in this world. That meaned he had a way to home! Great! Absolutely brilliant! It will not be easy, but at least he had a lead. It was better than nothing. Now, he needed to have a plan.

In Yugioh, everything was solved by card game, which meaned that the things on his arm right now were his strongest weapon. If he could impress Akaba Reiji with his skill, he could ask him to use the dimension travelling device. He liked his odds too. People in anime duel like a bunch of noob, and he had one of the strongest deck that was still play competitively too. Bullshit drawing didn't scare him, he just needed to block them from playing anything and he would win easily.

There was one problem though, he didn't know how to use the duel disk. He poked it everywhere and it didn't do a single thing. Also, how did one duel using this thing? Did it have any kind of user interface like in Yugioh game? Now that he thougt about it, would this thing even allow Floowandereeze cards. They came out on 2021, and the anime was around 2014…

FUCK! He got only one weapon that he didn't even know if he could use it or now. He needed to test it right now. If only he could make this fucking thing work. He needed help. He needed to learn how to use the duel disk. He also needed to know if he could play Flowandereeze deck.

Oh year, didn't Arc-V has duel school or something? Yuya's school is the best option here. If he remembered correctly, that school was in need of student. It should be easy for him to apply there.

It took him an hour to find the school. It would be less if these people just pointed him to the school instead of trying to steer him way. He knew it didn't have a great reputation, but there was no need to be that rude.

He rang the doorbell. After 5 minutes, a guy came out. He recognized him of course, the principal of You Show Duel School, Hiiragi Syuzo.

"What do you need" Syuzo asked.

"Hi! I am David Brown. I want to apply to your school!" He excitedly replied.

"What?!" Syuzo looked shocked. He looked like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. "You want to apply to my school?".

"Yeah. I am kind of new though. Hope you don't mind."

Syuzo just stared at him for one minute straight, before suddenly lunged at him. "Of course I won't mind. Welcome to the school."

The guy was as eccentric as it was in the anime. The process was suprisingly easy. He at least thought that he would be asked a few more questions. He won't complain though.

"So, why do you come to Japan, David? Don't they have duel school in America as well?" Syuzo asked.

"Yeah, but there are a lot of successful Japanese duelist. So I want to go to Japan to study." He made this up of course. The anime didn't show a single duel scene outside of Japan so he didn't know shit.

"Make sense." Looked like he bought it though.

"Do you remember that I said I am new to duel?" I said and he nodded. "I did know the rule and how to play my deck, but I never use a duel disk before. Could you help me with that?".

"Sure!" He gave me a thumps up. "Let me show you. It is really easy.".

It was not fucking easy. This thing was complicated as shit. Most of the commands were made using voice. Spell, trap, monster effect, summoning monster. All had to use voice to do. Now he knew why all the characters in anime always narrated every single move they made. Because the disk won't fucking work if you didn't. There was no alert for when he could activate an effect, so he had to remember it by heart.

It took him a few hours to get everything down. Now all he need is practice. He needed to get used to how to play combo on the duel disk to save time. Yes, there was time limit on each move. Just as he thought that, he heard a familiar voice. The protagonist, Sakaki Yuya, had returned.

Thanks for reading. I read a lot of Yugioh fanfiction and I never once see anyone has their OC use real world meta decks, with stable cards and all. So I thought, why not do it myself. I want a story where the OC uses cards that are actually play in the real world. The card like Infinite Impermanence, Forbidden Droplet or Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds.

The OC will use Floowandereeze deck in YGO Master Duel since they are the cards I am familiar with. I know they didn't release every card in the archtype in Master Duel, but I want to use the one that I play myself for realistic purpose.

I don't understand why people use made-up cards in their fanfiction though. There are more than 10000 cards in YGO. I definitely think there will be a card that suit your need instead of making up new card.

This is just an idea to kill free time. So I'm more than happy if someone with better writing skill than me adopt this idea and expand it.
