I wrote this in a rush. I'm pretty sure it sucks but here you go-
Isaac felt nervous and happy at the same time. He missed his dad Coleman very much and he wanted to see him. So he decided to visit him in his office.
When he arrived, Coleman didn't talk to him. He acted like he didn't see Isaac. Isaac wasn't surprised by this action. He decided to wait. He really wanted to talk with his dad about anything.
After about 15 minutes Isaac decided to start the conversation himself.
"Hello dad. How are you?"
"I'm okay, Isaac."
Isaac started think about a topic that they can talk about for a long time. After awhile he decided to talk about their memories. They could talk about them for a long time. Maybe Coleman would tell him what has happened while he wasn't at home.
"Hey.. do you remember that one time you were late for work because you couldn't find your documents on time?"
"I do. It wasn't a really good experience for me."
"What about the time I dropped your popsicle with a football?"
"Yes… I was angry at you but I didn't say anything because you were very young."
"But I'm still young right?"
Coleman finally looked at Isaac's face.
"Yes you are. You still have a long time. Don't waste your life like I did."
"But you still have time ahead of you too. You can still fix things up."
"Whatever you say kid but I don't think that I can fix everything up."
After a little bit of silence Isaac started talking again:
"You used to call me Amethyst. I loved that nickname and I still do. But I didn't really understand why Amethyst out of all things? Was it because of my eye color?"
Coleman lightly smiled at Isaac.
"Yes, your eye color is one of the reasons why I used to call you that but it's not the only reason."
"Can you tell me the other reason?"
"It's just… Amethysts are really special and they're not easy to find… just like you. You are my special son and you'll always be. You were the only thing that kept me under control when I was very stressed. You are the only reason I'm even here right now."
Isaac was speechless. He didn't know that Coleman loved him that much. He just responded by smiling. Coleman turned his head away from Isaac.
"Okay… that's enough Isaac. You should go home. I'll see you later."
