"Hey! Wake up!" i heard someone yelling. I open my eyes. To see a girl. With chestnut brown hair done in twin pigtails. I tried to get up. But but i was chained to the floor. What is going on? Where am i?
"Who are you. And where are we?" i asked.
"I am edelgard von hresvelg. The princess of the adestrian empire. As for where we are? I have no clue. I just had some tea with my uncle. Next thing i know. I woke up here. Now. can i please get your name." edelgard asked.
"My name is natsu tachinowarui." i said. Soon the cell door opened. And someone wearing all black came in.
"Alright you two come with me! You'll be used for something great!" the mage said.
"Without our consent! Let us go you bastard!" i yelled. Only for the mage to smack me to the ground.
"Silence! Measly beasts like you should be thankful to have such a grand purpose!" the mage said. Hearing that disgusted me. I should be thankful that I was kidnapped? Also beasts? This see us as nothing but animals? What an arrogant prick! Whatever this something great is! I don't want any part of it!
"How dare you kidnap us! We want no part in this!" edelgard yelled.
"As you have a choice…" the mage said. He soon reached for edelgard. But before he could grab her. I broke free from my chains. I then wrapped them around the mages neck and pulled hard!
"How this for a beast!? You arrogant scum!" i yelled as i pulled hard enough to hear a snap. The mage fell dead. I then melted the chains holding edelgard with fire magic. She stood up. Albeit a bit shaky. She almost fell to the ground. But i held her up. She then pushed me away while blushing. It was cute. I then summoned a weapon. The inferno hammer. It must look ridiculous for a thirteen year old boy. To hold a hammer this big.
"Let's get out of here!" i said.
"Okay." edelgard said. Me and her both ran through the dark hallways. A bunch of pale skin brigands tried to stop us from escaping. I smashed their heads with my hammer. Or fried them with a lightning spell.
"You fight very well. For someone so young." edelgard commented.
"Thanks." I said with a smile. We kept moving until we saw something that will forever be burned into my memories. A bunch of kids around mine and edelgard age's. Either dead. Or have gone insane. The sight made me want to puke. They looked like they were in extreme amounts of pain. Even the dead ones. These pale skinned bastards. Their pure evil. How can anyone do something so vile? And not feel an ounce of guilt. I then notice edelgard crying with her hands over her mouth.
"These are…my siblings…" edelgard sobbed. I looked back at the bodies. Was this going to be us? Is this the something great? How is being put through utter hell reducing you to utterly broken or dead possibly be something great!?
"So…two rats trying to escape?" another mage asked.
"Why? Do you call this great? This horribleness? How the hell is this something great!?" i yelled.
"Those were merely failures in our experiment. Nothing more. We seek to create a powerful warrior. Wielding two crests. To get our revenge against the church of seiros!" the mage yelled.
"But why? Why them? Why were they dragged into this!? They have nothing to do with the church!" i yelled.
"It didn't matter who we used as guinea pigs. As long as we got results. You're all just lowly beasts! Mere animals to be used for experiments. nothing more!" the mage said. I was beyond disgusted. I don't who these "people" are. But i know enough to know. That they're evil. Heartless. Arrogant. Pieces of shit! Hate doesn't even begin to describe how I feel for this scum! Such trash can't be allowed to exist. I screamed with all my fury. And reducing this vile mage to a black pancake. I'm going to be covered in a lot more black blood by the time i'm done with these bastards!
I continued tearing through this filth. Until we reached a set of stairs and went up. And we found ourselves in a long hallway. Covered with flags depicting a twin headed golden eagle in a red shield.
"We..were under the palace. This whole time?" edelgard asked in shock. Clearly something fishy is going on here. But i think it's safe to say. We're safe. So I dismissed my hammer.
"There you are. Lady edelgard! Your father has been worried sick. Where have you been?" said a man with black hair and yellow eyes.
"I was locked in the dungeon. By pale skinned mages. My siblings…their either dead or have gone mad!" edelgard said. Tears down her face.
"This is truly terrible news…who is this boy?" the man asked.
"This boy was the one who saved me." edelgard said.

"Thank you for rescuing lady edelgard. I'm her vassal. Hubert von vestra." hubert said.
"Yeah great. Now hubert. Now can you please tell me how nobody here knew that the children of the emperor were right under you being used as lab rats!?" i yelled.
"Lord arundel said he committed a full on search through the dungeon. And found nothing." hubert replied.
"My uncle?" edelgard asked.
"Either he's imcompetent. Or he was with those bastards down there." I said.
"We'll know soon enough. The emperor and lord arundel are talking in the throne room. Surely he would like to know that lady edelgard is alright. If you would please follow me." hubert said. We followed him into the throne room. As soon as we did the emperor stopped his conversation with the man with long black hair. And immediately ran to edelgard and hugged her.
"My princess. Thank the goddess your alright!" the emperor yelled. With tears in his eyes.
"Father. My siblings. They have either died or gone insane. By mages wearing black. I would have joined them. If not for this young man." edelgard said crying. The emperor then looked to me.
"Thank you for saving my daughter. Can you please tell me your name. Young hero." the emperor said. Being called a hero. Didn't feel too bad.
"Natsu. Natsu tachinowarui. I need to have a talk with arundel." i said.
"What do you wish to speak about?" arundel asked.
"Don't pretend. Why did you say you did a full search of the basement!? When you clearly didn't! Considering the hresvelg children were down there. Being used as lab rats by pale skinned mages!?" I asked. Every time I blinked. I thought I saw someone different. I closed my eyes for a few seconds. And sure enough where arundel stood. I saw another one of those white skinned bastards. Looking at me with pure disdain. So this is why.
"Are you accusing me of aiding the kidnappers. For all we know. You could be one of her kidnappers. Until we know for sure. You'll be in the dungeons! Guar-" arundel yelled. Before he could call for the guards. I jumped on his shoulders. And grabbed his face.
"Show us your true form!" i yelled as i ripped the fake skin off. Revealing the the truth. That arundel was actually this white bastard. "Your not working with them…you're one of them! You won't pull strings from the shadows anymore. viper!" I yelled. He looked at me with utter hatred.
"So it would seem…you filthy beast. If i can't use that girl for the double crest experiment then she is useless…" the white skinned bastard said. Charging up a dark ball. And throwing at edelgard and her father. The emperor shielded edelgard with his body. But i got in the way. I successfully blocked it from harming edelgard or the emperor. The guards however. Weren't so lucky. As the blast reduce them to ashes. Black smoke surrounded us. Which gave me the perfect opportunity. I grabbed one of the guards' lances. And threw it through the black smoke. And judging from the scream of pain i heard. I got the bastard. And once the smoke cleared up. I saw the white skinned bastard on the floor. Writhing in pain. It looks like my throw got one of his eyes. I then picked up a nearby sword. And walked over to him.
"You little beast! How dare you!" he yelled. I put the sword to his neck.
"Next thing I'll take will be your head! And after that…the heads of all your kind! You are a monster! You and your kind! Arrogant vile evil vipers! I'm going to dedicate my life to ending the plague that is your existence! Starting with you!" I yelled as I swung the sword. But as soon as the blade made contact with his neck. He vanished in blast of purple light. "He got away…damn!" i yelled as i punched the floor.
"Indeed. But you showed great bravery. And combat prowess. You saved my daughter. Which is why I want to ask you. To be my daughter's second vassal." the emperor said.
"It would be my honor. This is my vow. One day. I'm going to become an general of the Adrestrian empire. Once i am. I'm going to lead in army to that snakes nest! And exterminate every last worst of them!" i yelled.
"An army i'll be happy to provide." the emperor said.
Thus my new life as the vassal of edelgard the surviving princess of the hresvelg family began. For the next seven years. I trained with the very best the empire had to offer. Butted head's with hubert so much. I'm surprised we're both still standing. Until the day i would get my chance at those white skinned snakes heads. But first I had to graduate officers school.
