Alternative Summary Chapter One:

E is gravid.

The Indoraptor becomes obsessed with her belly.

I decided to make this a random one shot series of cute/fluffy moments that are in no particular order regarding the Indoraptor and his family. They will usually be short, and most probably won't even be a thousand words.

It's just a nice break from my other works that are more mature and less cute and fluffy and happy.

The Indoraptor's intense, amber gaze nested upon his red hued mate and white scaled chick.

The quiet dripping of water was the backdrop of their cave den, gentle rays of light cascading from the gaping maw of their home. Dried grasses were scattered along their den in bedding, the soil soft and cool upon their feet and bellies.

Bones of old prey were scattered around-yet to be cleaned out by the pair.

But the onyx and gold hybrid did not care.

His golden cobalt orbs were locked upon his family, jaw pressed flush against the soft ground.

E's arms wrapped around Seraphim, as if battlements to a castle. Soft, cooing whistles riveted from her white throat, oceanic eyes drowned out by the black of her circular pupils under sanguine hued lids.

The female's head lowered, and a warm, moist tongue firmly licked the feathered head of her chick, causing soft downy to mat and clump together.

It was an action the white scaled raptor did not appreciate, soft chirps and squeaks in opposition coming from the little male.

Mama was messing up his quills!

He's never be like his Daddy if she kept messing up his quills!

Seraphim was then nuzzled by his mother's snout, feeling puffs of warmth from E's strong breath.

It was a blanket of comfort.

His mother was so warm and cozy.

Her purrs vibrated upon his belly, soft tongue licking and cleaning.

Seraphim's own purrs were quiet, and barely audible to the ear.

But his father heard them.

He heard both of their purrs.

The black and yellow striped male tilted his head, fiery eyes trailing from his son-to E.

His gaze flowed from her nuzzling snout, to her gentle, caring eyes, down her slender neck-

-To her swollen belly.

To her belly that was home to more members of their family.

To her belly that housed more of their little, precious somethings.

Slowly, lazily, the Indoraptor rose from his place upon the ground, and sauntered over to his family.

His quilled head lowered as he booped E's in greeting, jagged jaws lowering to tenderly, softly, nuzzle his child. E's purrs in please grey louder, and a light tug upon his quills with a quick preen indicated she was content.

The Indoraptor's pupils roamed over E, then Seraphim.

Quills.

Feathers.

Tiny, little tuffs of soft fluff.

The Indoraptor could not help but feel his chest well in pride.

That was his son!

His son had his quills, too!

But feathers!

E would watch idly as the hybrid moved around once, twice-and then settled himself down beside her-around her, with a heavy thud. The Indoraptor's skeletal head rested upon her swollen belly, jaw nuzzling against her. He thought he could feel the eggs inside her.

E's eggs!

Their eggs!

Their babies!

The Indorapor purred softly, eyes closing as he was gently taken aloft by the rhythm of E's breathing.

Faintly did he feel his mate's scaled lips nip and preen at his quills.

Faintly did he feel Seraphim scurry up upon his mothers back-and nuzzle himself against his father's chin.

Faintly did the Indoraptor's jaw twitch upwards in the softest of smiles.

It felt good to be home.
