The day after their interesting night. Sonia and TeruTeru decided to break off from the morning meeting, quickly ditching the following Kazuichi as the mechanic stopped to chat with Hajime. The two moved to their cabins, grabbing their swimsuits to finally relax for a change. TeruTeru may have done a lot of things but he wasn't lying about treating Sonia better after the lies that got him the opportunity he had with her.

Both of them smiled and chatted amongst one another as they moved toward the place they had woken up, the beach that had started everything on this island. Which includes their fast blossoming relationship.

Sitting by the beach TeruTeru leant back and rested his hands on the sand as Sonia smiled down at him in a skimpy swimsuit, pink and white matching her cute womanly personality to perfectly as it hid the large breasts and ass she had so much pride showing behind closed doors.

"Hey… I… Just wanted to say that you don't need to… Pull anything special for me TeruTeru. I know that you tricked me into sex but honestly you don't owe me anything. If you wish to go back to your life as a cook when we leave this island you can. It'd bring me… A lot of dismay to watch you leave your life behind, your restaurant, your family. Since you would almost definitely have to come live with me." Sonia smiled at him as she laid back on the beach, simply looking at the clouds as she let the warm sand and the cool air mix to make her body perfectly balanced under the sunlight. Though inside she felt a strange sombre feeling, knowing that despite their connection and despite how much it grows they could never truly be together.

Something that not even TeruTeru could give her to make her feel normal…

"Hmm… You know Sonia. You're a Princess and I should have known that would come up, you must have expected that you'd meet some guy when you moved from your country to go to school here and you must have known you'd have to leave them too. But I can always move my family business over to where you live, other than my mama there's no reason I can't come over. And honestly… Being with someone as powerful as the Nevermind family may… Help a lot." TeruTeru couldn't help looking away at that, his mind suddenly stuck on the thought of his mothers illness. He had been so busy with Sonia it had completely glossed out of his mind but now it was all he could think about.

Though, the chef felt a strange burst of Hope… Not only would he have a girlfriend to show his mama back home, not only can they move to a better place but… Also he could finally get her REAL help for her illness! He smiled and looked back only to see a shocked look on Sonia's face.

"I… Oh m-my. I never a-assumed you would… Leave your entire life for me… Especially after we've all been taken captive here I assumed you'd be nothing but homesick, I didn't think you really… Loved me in such a strong way. I thought you really did just see me as a sextoy despite the kind words you told me while Mikan was with us last night." Sonia looked down. TeruTeru thought she was about to cry but she didn't even get teary eyed before she gave a smile and looked back up at him.

"But seeing that you care so much about me, it's… Well… It's probably ok to pop the question without you getting too angry with me. You see… If you wish to be with me you must fully devote yourself to me b-by defeating the golden Makango and becoming my one and only husband!" Sonia smiled and put up her fists, her eyes shining while TeruTeru almost fell back in surprise. By the words "pop the question" he had kind of expected the husband part but he had no idea what a Makango was.

After a quick explanation, with the chef being completely and utterly confused about the entire thing and the entire ritual (without telling her of course) he sighed and looked away slightly.

"Hmm… Well. If it's… Something I have to do to marry you my sweet darling I suppose I must go through with it, there's no other choice for me is there? There's no way I could live without such radiant beauty in my life after all." Teru turned up the charm with a single kiss on her hand making Sonia smile like a giddy child.

Despite not making their relationship public yet Sonia dived forward and hugged TeruTeru tightly, kissing him deeply on the lips before he quickly pulled her in with his own arms. Both of them continued to kiss and hug for a full 30 seconds before finally pulling back, TeruTeru wiping the sand off his back while Sonia fixed her hair with a light blush.

"W-Well… I… Th-Thank you! I… You've truly made me the happiest woman I could have ever hoped to be! I'm so happy I finally found a man that loves me for myself, not the image I put up. I had the idea that so many men are similar to Kazuichi in that they love me for nothing other than my… Princess persona. Even if it is a part of me, I want a husband that loves me for my love of Japanese Drama, for my love of sex, for my love of the occult and muderers! And… You seem like the perfect man for that, a person that wouldn't judge me as I wouldn't judge your interests!" TeruTeru did kind of raise an eyebrow at the occult part but then just smirked, a cute girl with a bad side was all he could think which did make sense but was definitely a weird interpretation of what she had said.

"I… Promise I will never judge you for a thing you like, Sonia my sweet. After all, you've accepted so much about me that most would hate me for. So why would I do anything different for yo-MFGH!" Once more TeruTeru was pushed back onto the sand as his new wife tackled him down, her energetic kisses hitting his face over and over again… As they kiss and celebrate their new matrimony neither of them knew about the single pair of eyes and ears listening and watching the entire thing from behind a nearby palm tree.

Staring forward… Sonia held it together all she could.

All she could do was shiver and shake as she watched the man she had recently devoted her heart to scream in front of every person on the trial ground about his mama… A person that TeruTeru had mentioned to her but almost mentioned as a passing statement. But in truth she was all the boy could think of, his mind swirling and twirling with thoughts of his mother and the idea of her dying without him being there.

She had no idea why he had done this. Had deserted her despite all the love she had given him in such a short time which was probably for the best as she had spurred him on in this murder, the simple thought of the one thing that mattered back home, his mama… The woman that cared for him, loved him and worked hard to not only feed him but also others was at risk of dying the more days he spent away from her. While at his school he knew he could get there quickly if needed but… The island was different and even with Sonia's powerful family.

The Princess couldn't cure death.

This situation did teach Sonia one thing, that she should never trust the perverted lies of a man obsessed with her looks. TeruTeru was never a good person but Sonia forced herself to believe he was just because he made her feel like a Queen in bed, like she had finally found a man that cared about her pleasure as well as his own. But as he was quickly dragged away into the darkness of the deepest depths of the trial grounds and a small TV showed her the gruesome details of his murder all she could do was repeat the same things in her mind.

"Don't cry… Don't cry… Be strong… Don't let them know you failed… The others don't need to know. This wasn't your fault so work hard to care for the others. Make up for this… You can't let anyone else end up like him." In a second Mikan had become one of her biggest obstacles in the Princesses life, the nurse wasn't staring at the screen once the execution had finished but instead right toward her as though any second now she would rush over and hug Sonia like there was no tomorrow… Which instantly made Sonia GLARE into her eyes, making the nurse shrink down into herself and feel like doing nothing more than hiding behind her trial stand.

Sonia was a Princess, she didn't get the luxury of showing her emotions, crying, whining and weeping… She has to be strong and work hard to get herself AND her people home safe. No murders will occur by her hand and she vows to do her best to stop anyone else from being hurt too…

Even if that meant keeping Mikan's mouth shut by force, she couldn't let ANYONE know now that she had been with TeruTeru, she couldn't let Kazuichi know…

Since if he knew… Sonia would be putting herself and others in danger. So instead she stood quietly hoping the trial would just end already, her mind stuck on being allowed back to her room so she could finally let every pent up emotion out on her bed. She needed to cry but she couldn't do it here… Not in front of all the people that counted on her.

The only Makango defeated by TeruTeru on that day was the one in her heart… As she felt like her chest was breaking into two.

But no matter what, a Princess must keep up appearances, a Princess must hold up her chin while others cry and a Princess will never be normal, no matter how much she tries to force herself to believe she could be.

There was no real emotion on her perfect face that day. Only an act as she hid the complete and utter tragedy laying behind her eyes.

After the trial everyone casually made their ways off to their own cabins, all trying to forget. All accept three boys. Hajime, Kazuichi and Nagito.

Hajime stood and looked up to the sky by the poolside thinking over all he had seen in that trial while Kazuichi pulled Nagito by his arm into his cabin, growling to himself as he felt like his entire body was about to collapse from even doing this at all.

"Ngh! Hey you asshole! L-Listen I don't know what you want from me t-to keep your damn mouth shut but I'll-" Kazuichi began, his hands, face and forehead sweating as he stared him down like if he made one wrong move Kazuichi would be the next one executed… Though Nagito shut him up quickly by putting a finger in the air.

"Ah! I made you the offer in confidence my dear friend and I think you got exactly what you wanted from this trial am I right? Your plan worked like a charm even if garbage like me was at the forefront!" Nagito smiled to himself while Kazuichi instantly looked on with a sigh of relief and fell back onto his bed with both hands over his eyes and his legs hanging off the edge like a child's would.

"Ugh… Yeah this is… Just what I wanted but yet I can't get these fucking feelings out of my BRAIN! How could I do that!? HOW COULD WE-" Kazuichi was beginning to shout and once more Nagito placed a finger on his mouth and simply put a hand on his shoulder instead of making a big deal over the two deaths that had happened tonight.

"It's because you knew what had to be done, though I may not support how you went about it much, I can tell you're true Hope my friend. You saw TeruTeru moving in on the woman you loved and you simply decided to do something about it. It's not MY fault or YOUR fault that he happened to have died in the process, we never planned it to be like that, we only gave him the option. The worm to his fish if you will." Nagito smirked, he wasn't the best at comforting people but honestly this was just a nice gesture, there was no reason he needed to make Kazuichi feel better at all for what they had done together.

After all he HAD asked him to cause a murder.

"Sh-Shut the fuck up man! D-Don't even say that shit out loud o-ok!? You're gonna take this to your damn grave! Don't even think about opening your… Ugh… W-What the hell have I done!" Kazuichi began to whimper, tears dripping through his fingers as both hands still laid over his eyes. He began to wriggle and writhe side to side on his bed as no matter where he sat or laid he couldn't feel comfortable, pulling at his tracksuit every so often as though the clothing touching his skin was burning and causing rashes across his chest.

"In my eyes? You have simply given yourself a chance to get the girl you wanted so badly. I never planned for TeruTeru to kill like he did but… As you can tell he did, which means you've got a chance once more. Don't let his life go to waste, you should take the mantle up and use your Hope to take Sonia's hand for yourself! Don't lie here crying! You should be the man you wanted to be all along and show her the reason all of this happened in the first place!" Nagito smiled at him once more before slowly moving toward the door, opening it and giving a polite nod to him as if they were close friends and this was a normal meet up for something like playing video games, eating junk food, the day after a sleepover maybe. But both men knew the context and both knew what they had done.

"Please. Just be happy no one ever found out." Nagito left off with that cryptic message, not wanting to out his new friend if anyone had overheard the door opening before he promptly left and closed the cabin door behind him.

In a panic still Kazuichi felt watched and unsafe, diving toward the door he locked it instantly and then dived back onto his bed, shoving his face into the duvet as he tried to forget. But he couldn't. How could he forget what he had done?! How could he do anything anymore other than hide in his room!?

All he could think about was the day he had seen Sonia and Teru on the beach, the second Nagito had seen him the perseptive boy could tell something was wrong as Kazuichi made no attempt at hiding his own emotional outburst.

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!" Kazuichi yelled as Nagito accidently bumped his arm into him, the angry clenched teeth soon making way for his lips quivering and tears rushing down his face. The Princess that he had dreamed of his entire life treating him as just any other guy while she kissed the most disgusting pervert he had ever seen. Not only that but marrying?! MARRYING HIM!? What the FUCK was Sonia thinking.

Kazuichi began to sink further into his bed, gripping to his covers as now the deed was done, the clarity was hitting him harder than a truck. TeruTeru had earned her love so why did he-

"Hey Kazuichi… Hehe. Something wrong? You're not usually this angry." Nagito didn't show a hint of anger on his face as usual, almost like he was completely zoning out from the situation they were in and the way Kazuichi had just spoken to him. Only making Kazuichi sadder as not even Nagito respected him enough to show ANY kind of fear.

Why did he say everything he did? He didn't need to vent to Nagito but he did anyway, he told him every detail about what he heard on the beach, Nagito's face changing from a face of confusion to a look of pure excitement only making him more angry.

"Ugh… Stop fucking looking so happy! IT'S NOT A GOOD THING FOR A GODDESS LIKE MISS SONIA TO BE DATING… ugh… HIM! IT'S TERUTERU HANAMURA FOR GOD SAKE!" Kazuichi's fist balled up and he felt like just punching Nagito for even daring to make that face but slowly decided against it and turned to walk away, the only restraint he had since he came onto the island… Before… Nagito spoke words that changed Kazuichi's entire life.

"Hey! I know! You hate this new thing huh? Well I could always commit a murder? I can't imagine I can get TeruTeru himself since he'll most likely be with Sonia more often now but… I'm sure a murder here will definitely cause a bit of a stir which could help. I'm here for you if you ever want to take the offer just so you know. I know I don't seem like the type to help you with something like this but… Eh… Why not right? You're a talented guy and if a piece of trash like me could help at all I'd love to offer my services. This Killing Game really is interesting to me, you know?" At first Kazuichi felt a little shell shocked by the sudden offer and felt the urge to just yell 'no' right off the bat but thinking it over more with his back to Nagito still. Could this ever go bad for him? Not really right?

If Nagito succeeded with his plan then… That would be 2 people dead that COULD have murdered him in this Killing Game and if Nagito fails then no one would believe his word even if he did spew his entire plan and admit Kazuichi told him to do it. At best he might just kill TeruTeru himself and they'd BOTH be gone from his life for good!

How could this go bad!?

Kazuichi slowly turned toward Nagito and opened his mouth to speak.

Now two people are dead. Byakuya had died giving up his whole life just to save another human being, a person that was about to kill someone himself and Byakuya had saved him from death, a complete and utter sacrifice only showing the type of man Byakuya was behind that suit, glasses and talent and TeruTeru despite his misdeeds if he never told Nagito to do what he did he never would have had the CHANCE to kill! TeruTeru Hanamura and Byakuya Togami were dead by his hands…

Nagito knew what had happened and could easily rat him out to anyone at any time. All he had to do was mention Sonia and Teru's marriage and they'd have more than enough of a motive to know it was him!

But… He said he wouldn't! Right?

Nagito won't go back on his promise right?! No reason to waste this opportunity!

"I'm… Going to treat Sonia tomorrow. I-I'm not the bed guy here h-hehe! Sonia was just being tricked by that short perv anyway so I really did her a favour. Nagito is the one who got Byakuya killed, not me so I should just… I'll take her to the beach! Yeah! TeruTeru took her there so she must love it! I… Can see her in her swimsuit again, she can see me! W-We'll fall in love in no time! W-WE WILL! I'll love her and I'll treat her like the Goddess she is! I can make up for what I did to TeruTeru, she'll never have to think of him ever again!" Kazuichi began to laugh to himself in his room, his body shivering and shaking under the covers of his blanket as tears continued to stream down his face.

TeruTeru was no villain and Kazuichi knew it, he knew it even when he asked Nagito to murder him and the clarity of everything that had happened was still weighing down on him.

All he could do was stare at the ceiling. Trying to ignore the voices of TeruTeru and Byakuya swirling around in his head…
