A/N: My friends and I thought this one shot on Discord. So, I dedicate it to the La Familia Mad-rigal Discord server and all its chaotic and amazing members.

Dolores, as well as the rest of her family, worked hard on Casita's rebuilding. As the building progressed, Dolores felt more anxious. A part of her didn't want her gift back at all. She liked the silence, something she hadn't had since she was five.

Dolores was working on the new courtyard, painting the front door. She was making eyes at Mariano. Once Isabela called off their engagement, they started talking. "You know you can do better," a voice said. Dolores saw her mother was now beside her. "Sure, he's good-looking, but what is; there isn't much after that? You need someone more like your father."

"He's a poet," Dolores said. "And he's pretty good at it. He's written some things about me."

"Whatever you say," Pepa responded. "They say the Casita should be complete within the week. Are you excited to potentially get your gift back?"

Dolores didn't respond. She just went back to painting the door. "You know, it's okay to dislike your gift sometimes," Pepa said. "I know I don't love mine always. It's hard to feel things when you can cause a hurricane."

"It just gets too much sometimes," Dolores confessed. "Sometimes I hear things I don't want to. A lot of times, I hear things, and it causes issues with people. I envy Mirabel and would gladly switch places with her."

"Honestly, me too," Pepa said.

"I want to walk in town without getting overwhelmed," Dolores sighed.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't much help with that," Pepa said. Ever since Dolores got her gift, she got many sensory overloads. Pepa would see her daughter upset, and a cloud would naturally form. The thunder often just made the situation worse. Félix was the one who helped Dolores during those times usually.

"It's okay," Dolores said. "It's not your fault."

"We should talk more often," Pepa said. "I feel like I don't know you."

"I would love to talk to you more, too," Dolores responded.

"I only have one question," Pepa said. "Did you know Bruno was in the walls all these years?"

"Yes," Dolores answered.

"Why did you hide it?" Pepa asked.

"He told me he was hiding to protect Mirabel," Dolores said. "I trusted him. Tío Bruno was correct. I think Abuela would have blown up if she found the vision."
