The doors of the dark prison swung open, and in came a general; behind him being dragged was the youngest demon male she had seen yet. Most of the people down here were older. This guy had to be in his late twenties. He had long blue hair, green eyes, and pale skin.

"Another one for you, save princess," He sneered at her,

Her power snapped at her feet and toward the man. He jumped as her power zapped his feet.

"Don't call me that!" She snapped,

"I will tell Lord Sesshomaru about this!"

"Go ahead; it's your funeral,"

The guard wanted her blood now more than ever. But thankfully, she was off limits but pushing their boundaries was probably unwise. Not like it would get her fried; death would be her only way out of this.

The guard slammed the door.

"You are either brave or stupid," The demon said. Tall and skinny.

Sesshomaru said that to her once.

"So, which one are you?" She asked,

He smirked; how could he smirk like that at a time like this? "I guess you could say both,"

She sighed. "Tell me your sin,"

His eyes glazed over. "I merely loved Miko, though I guess in your eyes it will be a sin as well,"

"Love can never be a sin if its real," She was so tired,

"Tell that to the law,"

Kagome tilted her head, and then she knew "A human,"

"My bride, how I will miss her,"

But marrying or mating a human wasn't against the law; breeding when you part of arms, was.

"She's with child!" Kagome gasped.

"A son I will never meet,"

"It could kill her,"

"She knows,"

"It will kill you,"

"I know,"

"Then why?" She begged,

"Love is pure, is it not?"

Lord Sesshomaru was lethal but never more so than when it came to this. "You are a soldier,"

"Was,"

The door came slamming open, causing Kagome to jump.

"Woman,"

"Demon,"

He narrowed his eyes at her disrespect before looking at the man. "Are you done with him,"

"No?" She said slowly,

"Did he tell you of his sin,"

"It's not a sin, just your stupid rule,"

Sesshomaru walked closer, his demonic power pressing down on her. He was super angry now.

"Miko, I warn you,"

"I'm not done; he just got here,"

Sesshomaru placed a hand on his sword. "Finish it,"

"Now?"

This was new. Never had one been killed the same day as arrival!

"Have you even confirmed?"

Sesshomaru didn't speak right away, and something cold ran up her spine. "You didn't," She whispered,

It happened so fast.

The blue-haired demon whose name she didn't even know made a move. She tried to throw up a barrier, but Sesshomaru was quicker.

The man's head rolled, and blood splattered across her shirt.

Sesshomaru put his bloody sword back and grabbed her chin. "Did what, Miko,"

"Release me,"

"Try me, Miko,"

Oh, he wanted her to pull that power stunt on him, then he would have good reason to put her in her place.

She glared at him.

"They may not be able to kill you, Miko, but try that with me, and it will be your blood on my sword, and I will leave it there to soak," He squeezed harder till she whimpered, and he relaxed his hand and released her before turning to leave.

"I spared the woman,"

"You don't spare anyone," She said sadly, rubbing her sore chin.

"She made a bargain, her life for theirs,"

"What?"

"Who do you think reported it,"

Kagome's lips parted. "And the-

"Dead, per her request, Miko. Do you wish to travel to her, or shall I send your sister,"

Kagome looked away. "Kikyo," She wanted to see the sun but not to save that woman's soul. Was that dark of her?

He moved to shut the door. "Not so holy now are you, Miko,"

"I will hurt you one day," She turned her back. He did this all to hurt her.

"I look forward to it, Miko," He said darkly before slamming the door closed.

Darkness fell over her; pain fell over her; sadness fell over her till she sunk down on the cold ground and tucked her knees close and cried. The power of the jewel lighting to room and purify the body and blood that stained the room.

When she finally did open her eyes and lifted her head, the last few blue sparks of his soul vanished into the air.

Yes, her only way out would be to kill or be killed and neither was going to die for the other. But wouldn't it be poetic if they died together.

Yes, he was going to kill her; but she was going to take him with her. Screw them all.
