In a completely darkened area, a single light shined down and revealed a woman with short black hair styled in a messy bun and wearing a lab coat standing in front of the scene with a smile.

"Welcome, one and all, to the wonderful world of Pokémon. My name is Professor Ramirez, and I'm a local researcher in the Michigan Region." Professor Ramirez said. "As you know, our world is inhabited by mysterious creatures known simply as Pokémon. They live in the tall grass, the rocky mountains, the stormy oceans, and the breezing skies."

Professor Ramirez snapped her fingers and a bunch of holographic screens showing multiple kinds of Pokémon were displayed.

"Over time, we humans have learned to coexist with Pokémon and they've shown to be kind and helpful towards us in many different ways." Ramirez explained. "For some people, Pokémon are pets or companions for buisness. But others mostly enjoy using them to compete in battles and train with each other to become a strong team. The people who catch and train those Pokémon are referred to as Pokémon Trainers, and many of them like to pursue different goals on their journeys."

The holo screens then showed Pokémon Trainers either battling wild Pokémon with their own or having some social time with them.

"As many of you know, one of my jobs is to tutor young people on how to become Trainers and let them choose a Starter Pokémon on their school graduation day." Ramirez said, keeping a kind smile on her face. "I first give them the common details on how to be a Trainer and show them the correct ways on how to properly handle themselves in the wilderness."

As Ramirez turned off all of the holo screens, she walked towards a huge map showing the Michigan region. It was widely expanded and mostly had a few towns and cities located on it.

"Our region is mainly inhabited by wide grasslands and populated cities." Ramirez said. "And while we may not have Pokémon most regions aren't familiar with, we still have many of these wonderful creatures to offer. You can find Pokémon from Kanto, Sinnoh, Kalos, Galar and much more."

The Professor then walked away from the map and stood over the single spotlight again, facing the audience with a generous smile.

"So, now is the time for me to explain the upcoming event of our region." Ramirez announced. "For over a year, our region has been without it's very own Pokémon Champion ever since our last one retired to do more adventures activities with their Pokémon. To help sort out this matter, me and a few colleagues of mine around Michigan have decided to host a special Pokémon League for young Trainers who manage to defeat all eight of Michigan's Gym Leaders. The winner of the entire League will then be crowned as the new champion of the region, and I'm sure whoever it will be is going to be a very incredible young Trainer who cares deeply for their Pokémon."

She then stepped aside and revealed a shining door behind her.

"Now that everything has been explained, I believe it's time for us to head into the world of Pokémon and discover which of Michigan's newest Trainers holds the potential to become a Champion." Ramirez said.

With everything explained, the Professor faced the shining door and slowly walked towards it before a huge light emitted and the entire screen turned white.

Everything then changed from a darkened area to a colourful scenery as the same bright light from before was shown to have been played on by a strange orange device with a wide rectangular screen. It seemed that the entire presentation scene with Professor Ramirez was being videoed on this very device.

The room was quite small and contained a single bed with a neat red sheet over it. There was also some posters of Pokémon Events, some piles of Pokémon comic books, a shelf of books on the left wall, and a small amount of Pokémon plush toys located on a desk. And the one last thing that was accounted for in this room was a young boy.

He appeared to be twelve years old and had an average-looking body for someone his age. He had short white hair, a chipped front tooth, freckles on his cheeks, and fair skin. His clothing consisted of an orange headband with a white ball symbol in the center, a pair of black fingerless gloves, an orange jacket with white linings over a blue vest, darkish-blue jeans, white running socks, and a pair of white and red sports shoes.

As he turned off his device and placed it inside his jeans' left pocket, the boy noticed the audience watching him and turned towards them with a friendly smile.

"Hi, there. You're probably wondering who I am, right?" The boy asked. "My name's Lincoln. Lincoln Loud. I'm currently at student at the RoyalWoods Town Pokémon Academy, where I've been learning the many facts of Pokémon and my region for the past three years."

He directed the audience towards a poster on his wall that showed a large colosseum and eight different badges surrounding it.

"Most new Trainers have tons of different goals they want to pursue with their Pokémon. Mine is to defeat all of Michigan's eight Gym Leaders and earn their Gym Badges so I can compete in the upcoming Pokémon League." Lincoln explained. "Being able to battle against so many Trainers and become the best Trainer in the Michigan Region has always been my dream. My parents told me that the only way I could do that is if I went to the Pokémon Academy and studied hard with Professor Ramirez and many other teachers here."

Lincoln then turned his attention towards a black backpack with orange linings as he packed a few items like Pokeballs, Potions, foods meant for both humans and Pokémon, and some small camping gear.

"But after so many months of studying and training at this place, the time has finally come for me to start my adventure." Lincoln told the audience. "I'm going to head to the main hall with my best friends, hear Professor Ramirez's graduation speech, and then she'll allow us to choose out very own Starter Pokémon to begin our journeys."

As the white-haired boy finished packing, he strapped his backpack to his back and stood up straight with an enthusiastic on his face.

"Nothing could get me more excited than getting my very own Pokémon Partner and setting off on a journey to become a Pokémon Champion." Lincoln said in happiness. "I can already tell my parents and five younger sisters are waiting for me back at home to throw a celebration. Just to let you know, I have five other sisters who're older than me. But, they're all away from home because they have super important jobs to do in Michigan."

Lincoln pulled out photos that showed four of his older sisters standing next to Pokémon of specific types.

"Four of them are known as the most strongest Gym Leaders of their time around Michigan." Lincoln explained. "My second oldest sister, Leni, is a Fairy type Gym Leader, my third oldest sister, Luna, is a Dark type Gym Leader, my fourth oldest sister, Luan, is an Electric type Gym Leader, and my fifth oldest sister, Lynn, is a Fighting type Gym Leader and the strongest out of all of them. Tons of Trainers have a hard time trying to claim Badges from them."

He the placed his photos inside his pocket for some safe keeping.

"But there's one older sister of mine who doesn't work as a Gym Leader." Lincoln admitted. "Her name's Lori and she's the oldest Loud sibling out of everyone. She works with some of her friends as a Pokémon Ranger in Westmount City. She's been a lot of help to others by rescuing Pokémon in distress, arresting crooks or Pokémon Hunters, and stopping powerful threats to our region and many others. Needless to say, Lori's the best of the best."

With nothing more to explain, Lincoln walked up to his room's front door and took a deep breath to calm his nerves.

"And pretty soon, I'll be the best of the best for Michigan to see." He said to himself.

When Lincoln opened the door, he saw a few Pokémon Academy students rushing down the halls with excited expressions on their faces.

"Looks like I'm not the only one psyched about today's big event." Lincoln chuckled before noticing the room was clear for him to walk freely in and stepped out his room. "Now then, where are my two favourite classmates and greatest friends in the Pokémon world?"

"Right here, Lincoln!" A male voice stated.

"It's good to see your wide awake!" A female voice said kindly.

Lincoln turned around to see a boy with dark-brown skin, a pair of glasses and a black Afro and a tan skinned girl with long black hair containing a red hair clip in it approaching him with kind smiles.

"Clyde! Stella!" Lincoln exclaimed happily before rushing up to his two friends, giving both of them a high-five. "Good to see you two, as well!"

"Come on! Did you think we'd sleep through this entire moment?!" Clyde asked rhetorically, showing an excited grin.

"We're just as psyched as you are about getting our own Pokémon as you are, Lincoln!" Stella stated enthusiastically.

"I knew you would! This is the best day for anyone at the academy!" Lincoln replied. "So, what are you guys planning to do for your journeys? You already know that I wanna compete in the Michigan Pokémon League."

"Well, I gave it a lot of thought and I've decided that I wanna become a Pokémon Coordinator." Stella explained.

"You mean those type of Trainers who like to show off fancy skills with their Pokémon's moves?" Clyde asked.

"Exactly! I wanna show the whole region how talented and fashionable I can be with my Pokémon!" Stella answered, showing an enthusiastic grin to the boys.

"That sounds okay with me." Lincoln replied kindly. "I'm sure you have what it takes."

"Thanks, Lincoln." Stella said, slightly blushing as none of the boys noticed.

"What about you, Clyde?" Lincoln asked. "What kind of goal do you have in mind for your journey?"

Clyde only looked to his right in response and rubbed his arm nervously.

"Actually, I don't know." He admitted.

"Still haven't managed to figure out what you want, Huh?" Stella asked with a sympathetic expression.

"Nope." Clyde sighed disappointingly. "My dads are gonna be super disappointed when they here about it."

"Hey, don't think like that, Clyde." Lincoln said with a reassuring smile. "I'm sure you'll be able to figure out what you want to do on your journey if you just give it some time."

"Lincoln's right. Don't give up hope." Stella added.

"Well, thanks for the support, you guys." Clyde said, giving his friends a small smile.

"Don't mention it." Lincoln replied. "Now, come on! Let's get our Pokémon!"

"I'll race you there!" Stella stated before dashing off.

"Hey! No fair!" Clyde called out.

He and Lincoln began to chase after Stella as they laughed all the way down the halls.

Later on, Lincoln, Clyde and Stella arrived at the Academy's main greeting halls and stood with many other students in their exact years. All of them seemed to be in the exact same excited mood as them about getting their first Pokémon to go on a journey, themselves.

"Looks like everyone's here." Lincoln said.

"No surprise, there. They wanna get their own Starter Pokémon just as badly as we do." Clyde told him.

"That's true. But we're gonna choose the greatest partners we can find on the three Starter Isles when Professor Ramirez shows up for the ceremony speech." Stella said with a confident smile.

"You totally read our minds, Stella." Lincoln chuckled kindly.

"But I'm definitely the most excited, here." Clyde said with a smirk.

"As if. I'm way more excited for this." Lincoln retorted, keeping on a kind expression.

"You boys and your competitive natures." Stella muttered jokingly.

Just then, everyone heard the stage's front doors open and walking out of them was Professor Ramirez herself, giving everyone a polite smile.

"Greetings, young students." Professor Ramirez greeted kindly.

"Hello, Professor Ramirez!" The students replied with bright smiles.

"It's wonderful to see that all of you are awake from your long sleeps and are here to celebrate your graduation from the Pokémon Academy." Ramirez said. "With such a long season of all of you learning at this building, I'm so proud that you're all taking the next step in life by becoming Pokémon Trainers."

"Thank you, Professor!" The students said kindly.

"Now then, to explain the event for today." Ramirez told everyone before she stepped to the side and showed everyone a holographic screen of three different islands that were coloured red, blue and green respectively. "These three isles are located on the Michigan Region's seas, but they aren't far from our current position. There's the Red Isle, inhabited by every known Fire type Starter, the Blue Isle that's homed to many Water type Starters, and the Green Isle, the habitat for all of the Grass type Starters."

The students nodded to her in understanding, while also feeling very excited for this event on the inside.

"I'm definitely going for a red-hot Fire type." Lincoln thought.

"I'll be sure to choose an elegant Grass type." Stella thought. "And it'll be one that Mom will surely like."

"It's a definite yes for a cool and calm Water type as my life-long buddy." Clyde thought.

"Once each of you decide which Isle you want to travel to, you will explore the entire fields you are sent to and choose the Starter Pokémon you wish to have." Professor Ramirez explained. "You can take as much time as you need to make your decision, or you can go right ahead and pick the one you feel up is best for you. As long as you treat your Pokémon with care and friendship, that will surely make me happy. Do you all understand this, perfectly?"

"Yes, Professor Ramirez!" The Academy students answered simultaneously.

"Excellent." Ramirez said with an approved smile. "Now then, let's all head toward the boats in the lake and we'll take you to the Isles you wish to travel to. Your lifelong Pokémon Partner awaits."

Hearing this made every single student cheer in excitement as the Professor walked down from the stage and walked out through the Pokémon Academy's exit door. Everyone followed her outside as fast as they could, while Lincoln, Clyde and Stella stayed in their places and smiled to each other in enthusiasm.

"It's officially happening, guys!" Lincoln remarked. "We're going to the Isles to get our Pokémon!"

"You said it, Lincoln! I'm so thrilled about this!" Stella cheered in happiness.

"I might not know what I wanna do on my journey, but I'm still psyched about this!" Clyde stated excitedly.

"The Isle I'm definitely gonna travel to is the Red Isle! I'm pumped about getting myself a blazing Fire type!" Lincoln told his best friends. "What about you guys?"

"It's the Blue Isle for me." Clyde answered.

"And I'm definitely going to the Green Isle." Stella added.

"It's because of you wanting to follow in your mom's footsteps, isn't it?" Lincoln asked with an all-knowing smile.

"Yes. But she didn't want to become a Top Coordinator on her Journey." Stella replied.

"That's true." Clyde said.

"In that case, let's go get our Pokémon so we can get our Journeys started!" Lincoln stated in enthusiasm.

"Right!" Clyde and Stella replied before they all chased after their fellow Academy students.

(Linebreak)

After a few minutes of walking, the entire Pokémon Academy student group followed Professor Ramirez to a large, open-space lake that was next to Royalwoods Town.

"Alright, students, we've arrived." Ramirez told the children. "In the vast openness of this lake are the three Isles where all graduation students choose their Starter Pokémon so they can go on a Journey."

Everyone looked out into the lake and they managed to spot three separate, large islands that each had different coloured flags perched on the docking areas. The left one had a red flag, the middle one had a blue flag, and the right one had a red flag.

"Waiting for you on one of those islands is the Pokémon will shall become your very own Partner." Ramirez said before she pointed to three transport boats in front of her. "The ships here will transport all of you to the islands that you want to travel to and look for the type of Starter you want. If you've all decided on what Type you wish to have, please board them."

While many of the students instantly began boarding the ship that would take them to the Isle they chose, Lincoln, Clyde and Stella stayed behind for a little bit and looked to each other.

"Looks like this is where we temporarily part ways." Lincoln admitted.

"Sure does. I can't wait to meet the Pokémon you guys are gonna choose." Clyde said with a smile.

"I'm sure that we'll get to be best friends with them." Stella replied.

"You read my mind, Stella." Lincoln agreed. "Well, time to take the first step into our Journey as official Pokémon Trainers."

"We'll see you soon, Lincoln!" Stella stated.

"Good luck!" Clyde added.

"Right!" Lincoln said with a nod.

The three friends then went separate ways and boarded the boats that would take them to the Isles they wanted to venture on.

"Best of luck to all of you, children." Ramirez said with a smile. "I'll be waiting to see which Pokémon you've returned with as your Partner."

The students all waved to her in response and the boats began to float all the way towards their destinations on each Isle.

"This is it. This is my first step towards a great career." Lincoln, Clyde and Stella thought to themselves.

(Linebreak)

At the Red Isle, the boat that Lincoln and a few other Students were riding in arrived at the docking point and they all immediately got off to search for some Fire Types. Lincoln was the last to get off his transportation and he looked all over the Red Isle with an amazed smile.

"This place is cooler than I thought it'd be!" Lincoln remarked. "I can't wait to find the Pokémon who's gonna be my life-long Partner!"

Without giving anything a second thought, Lincoln rushed into the main area of the Red Isle to find his first Pokémon. After a while of travelling through a lot of land filled with plants and dirt, Lincoln arrived at a large open space that had a lake, smooth grass, a few rocks and tall trees. Running and playing around the area were a bunch of Fire type Starter Pokémon that were from every known Region.

"Wow! There really is a lot of Fire Starters on this Isle!" Lincoln exclaimed, very impressed. "So which one should I go for? Charmander? Chimchar? Cyndaquil?"

He looked all around the open space to see which Fire type Pokémon would best suit him, but couldn't find the right one.

"Man, choosing your first Pokémon is pretty harder than I thought." Lincoln muttered, until he heard some nearby grunts and fighting sounds. "Wait, what's that sound?"

Lincoln turned his attention to the source of the noises and saw that it was a small Fire type Pokémon, which was practicing some kicking moves on a few boulders.

"Scorbun!" The Pokémon yelled in determination, kicking away at the air.

It resembled a small rabbit, but stood on two large feet. It had white fur around it's body, as well as orange and yellow markings. The orange markings around it's neck resembled a collar. It had buckteeth, an orange nose and irises, black sclerae, and a yellow band across it's nose, resembling a bandage. It also had long legs, and a similar yellow band under each paw pad. And finally, it had a small, white, poof-like tail. This was the Rabbit Pokémon, Scorbunny.

"Is that a Scorbunny?" Lincoln asked. "I'll admit, it's kinda cute."

Scorbunny seemed to be practicing some fighting moves on a couple of boulders. As it looked behind itself, Scorbunny jumped towards one boulder and kicked it two times, causing it to shatter like glass.

"Wow! That was some Double Kick!" Lincoln exclaimed, very impressed. "You know what? That could be the Pokémon Partner I'm looking for."

With his mind made up, Lincoln approached the energetic Scorbunny as said Fire type was exhausted from his training and sat down on the grass. Scorbunny then noticed a shadow looming over it and looked up to see Lincoln smiling down at the Rabbit Pokémon.

"Hey there, Scorbunny." Lincoln said kindly. "My name's Lincoln. Lincoln Loud. I can already tell that you're a Pokémon who wants become super strong."

"Scorbun?" Scorbunny asked, tilting it's head in confusion.

"Listen, my dream is to challenge all eight Pokémon Gyms in Michigan and then enter the Michigan League so I can win it and become the first Michigan Champion." Lincoln explained. "But in order to do that, I need a Pokémon with a lot of confidence and spirit in their fiery hearts. You've got all of that plus some strong moves. Would you like to be my very own Pokémon Partner, Scorbunny?"

Scorbunny was in deep thought after listening to Lincoln's words. Hearing that the white haired boy said he was confident, spirited and had powerful moves was very nice to accept and he desired nothing more than to be a tough Fire type.

After some long thinking about what he wanted to do, Scorbunny came to a decision and smiled at Lincoln.

"Scorbunny!" The Rabbit Pokémon said enthusiastically.

"So that's a yes?" Lincoln asked before he smiled gratefully. "Yes! Thanks a lot, Scorbunny! We're gonna be the best partners in Michigan!"

"Scor!" Scorbunny said in agreement.

The Rabbit Pokémon then hopped onto Lincoln's shoulder and the two new friends shared a small fist bump.

"Now, let's head back to the boat so I can introduce you to my other two friends." Lincoln said.

With that, the white haired boy and Scorbunny both left the open space of Fire types to leave the Red Isle.

(Linebreak)

At the Blue Isle, Clyde walked off the boat he was riding on when it docked and everyone else got off before him, taking a good look at the water-filled areas that were perfect for a Water type Pokémon to live in.

"Yep. This entire environment was made for Water types." Clyde said. "I can't wait to find the Pokémon who's gonna be my lifelong partner."

Clyde started looking around and he saw a good amount of Water type Pokémon having some fun in the watery areas.

"Okay, what do you wanna pick for a Starter, Clyde?" He asked himself. "Totodile? No, too snappy. Sobble? No, it cries too much. Mudkip? No, it'd probably get dirt stains on my cloths. Man, who am I gonna pick?"

As Clyde kept looking around for a Starter Pokémon, something wet hit him from behind.

"Ah! What was that?!" Clyde questioned in shock, shivering from the wet object's coldness.

He turned around and saw a light-blue head sticking out from a small pond, which giggled mischievously.

"What the heck?" Clyde asked with a confused expression.

Something then leaped out of the water from where the mysterious head was and it revealed itself to Clyde. It was a Turtle-like Pokémon with lightish-blue skin, two short legs, a pair of short arms, reddish-purple eyes, a slightly hooked upper lip, three pointed digits on it's hands and feet, a long tail that was curved inwards, and a shell covering it's middle body. The back of the shell was brown, the front of it was pale-yellow, and included a thick white ridge between the two halves. This was the Tiny Turtle Pokémon, Squirtle.

"A Squirtle? That's not what I expected." Clyde admitted.

"Squirtle, Squir!" Squirtle laughed.

"You look like a pretty playful Water type, don't ya?" Clyde asked with a smile.

"Squirtle." Squirtle nodded.

"Well, it's nice to meet you." Clyde said. "My name's Clyde. Clyde McBride."

He extended his hand to Squirtle to offer a friendly handshake, which made the Tiny Turtle Pokémon smile and accept it.

"Squirtle Squirtle!" He said.

"You know, you just might be the partner I'm looking for." Clyde told Squirtle, much to the Water type's curiosity. "I'm wanting to find a goal in my Journey alongside my two best friends and I need a Pokémon Partner to help me out with it. And I think that Pokémon Partner is you, Squirtle."

Squirtle was in awe by what Clyde said and this caused him to gain an expression of gratefulness.

"Squirtle!" He remarked happily.

"Glad to see you're not giving it any thought." Clyde replied with a chuckle. "I can tell you're gonna be my best bud. Well, second best bud. My first one is Lincoln."

With everything settled, Squirtle hopped onto Clyde's back and smiled excitedly at him.

"Squirt!" The Tiny Turtle Pokémon stated.

"For sure! This is gonna be great!" Clyde agreed.

Meanwhile, the boat that was sailing to the Green Isle arrived at it's docking area and the first one to run off it was Stella. She looked around her new surroundings after a few seconds of rushing in and saw nothing but green plants, large trees and beautiful flowers.

"This place is amazing!" Stella exclaimed in awe. "Good thing I know which Grass type I already want as Partner for when I begin my career as a Coordinator!"

Stella then began searching the large grasslands for the Pokémon she was determined to make her very first one.

"Now if I can just find it." She said to herself.

Stella came across all sorts of Grass type Starter Pokémon like a Treecko jumping across trees, a Rowlet making a nest made of branches, a Chikorita gathering some sunlight on the ground, but the one she wanted was unaccounted for.

"Come on. I know there's gotta be one here." Stella whispered in a desperate tone.

Soon, she found just the Pokémon she was looking for sitting on a large rock and staring at the open sky. It was a green snake-like Pokémon with a cream underside, a yellow stripe running down the length of it's back and tail, yellow markings around it's large eyes, two curved yellow structures that resemble leaves or small wings that were protruded from it's shoulder and bended backwards, slender arms with three fingers, tiny feet with no digits at all, and a large, palmate leaf on the end of it's tail. This was the Grass Snake Pokémon, Snivy.

"That's it!" Stella remarked before she rushed towards Snivy.

The Grass type heard footsteps from behind and looked to see Stella approaching her with an excited smile.

"Sni?" Snivy asked confusingly.

"Hi there, little one!" Stella greeted. "I'm Stella Zhau, and I'm super excited to be meeting you!"

At first, Snivy was surprised by Stella's enthusiastic greetings towards her. But she quickly gained a smile of appreciation from hearing her kind words.

"Snivy, vy!" Snivy replied sweetly.

"Good!" Stella said with a happy smile. "Listen, I want to ask you something very important."

"Sni?" Snivy questioned.

"My goal is to be a Pokémon Coordinator and show everyone my amazing talent so I can one day earn the amazing title of Top Coordinator." Stella explained. "And in order for me to make my dreams come true, I need a Partner Pokémon I can trust. The moment I arrived on this island, my mind was set on what Pokémon I wanted as my partner. And that's you, Snivy."

Snivy was very shocked to hear this and looked at Stella with widened eyes.

"What do you say?" Stella asked kindly, holding her hands out to Snivy. "Will you become my trusty Partner and help me become a Top Coordinator?"

Snivy put a lot of thought into this offering before making up her mind and smiling excitedly towards Stella.

"Snivy vy!" Snivy stated in happiness, jumping into Stella's arms.

"Great! Thanks so much, Snivy!" Stella said gratefully. "Quick question, are you a male or female? Raise one vine if male, and raise two if female."

Snivy rose two vines from her neck in response, letting Stella know what her gender was.

"A female. Good!" Stella said. "See, I'm travelling with my two guy friends, so I was hoping that having a girl by my side would make it all the more tolerable."

"Snivy." Snivy replied with an understanding smile.

"One thing's for sure, Snivy, you and I are gonna go really far." Stella commented. "I just know it."

"Vy." Snivy nodded in agreement.

The two new friends then headed back towards the boat that would bring them back to the main land.

(Linebreak)

Back at where the students had left off to collect their first Pokémon, Professor Ramirez noticed the boats were sailing back to her position.

"Perfect." She said with a smile.

When the boats made their way to dry land, all of the students walked off while holding their chosen Starter Pokémon within their arms. Amongst them where Lincoln, Clyde and Stella, who were accompanied by their new Scorbunny, Squirtle and Snivy.

"Welcome back, everyone." Professor Ramirez said kindly. "I trust you've all found your first Pokémon so that you can begin your journeys?"

"Yes, Professor!" Everyone replied.

"That's perfect for me to hear." Ramirez said. "But remember, everyone, one of the most important pieces of being a great Trainer is having a strong bond with your Pokémon friends. And the bond with your partners should be the setting point for the bond you have with any other Pokémon you may have in the future."

"A strong bond, Huh?" Lincoln asked.

"That's important for any Trainer to have if they want to make their dreams come true." Stella admitted.

"Now, be sure to go out and try your hardest to achieve your dreams!" Professor Ramirez told everyone.

"We will!" The students stated in union.

Soon, everyone headed off to meet up with their families in the local town. However, our three main characters stayed behind to socialise.

"Wow! You guys chose some really cute Partners!" Stella commented as Scorbunny, Squirtle and Snivy played with each other.

"Yeah. And we're glad to see that you've found the Partner you always wanted, Stella." Lincoln replied.

"Thanks, Lincoln." Stella said kindly.

"I see that all of you found some good matches for yourselves." Ramirez said as she approached the three newbie Trainers.

"We sure have, Professor." Lincoln answered.

"They fit our personalities well." Clyde added.

"Well, they certainly are cute ones for all of you." Ramirez commented.

"That's what I thought, too!" Stella agreed.

"Scorbun!" Scorbunny remarked in enthusiasm.

"Squirtle, Squir!" Squirtle added happily.

"Snivy!" Snivy said with a smile.

"And who knows? Maybe Stella and I will become just as strong as my parents and her mom?" Lincoln admitted.

"Or even surpass them!" Stella stated in confidence.

"That's exactly the kind of spirit I expect from such great Trainers." Ramirez said, nodding in approval. "Your parents and mother were three of the best students the Pokémon Academy ever had, and I'm sure you'll all become just like them. Although, Mrs Zhau never became a Coordinator on her journey."

"Yeah, but I just wanted to do something different than what she did." Stella replied.

"Well, I wish the three of you the best of luck." Ramirez told them. "And, Lincoln, I'm sure your sisters will be excited to test your skills."

"Yeah! And I'll show them just how tough I can be!" Lincoln stated.

"Scor!" Scorbunny agreed.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how strong you can be." Ramirez said kindly before she took her leave.

"Thanks, Professor!" Lincoln, Clyde and Stella called out.

When Professor Ramirez was gone, Lincoln smiled to his two friends and their Partner Pokémon.

"Well, guys, this is gonna be the start of something really great." He told them.

"You got that right, Lame-O." A voice said.

Everyone then looked to see a girl that was the same age as Lincoln, Clyde and Stella approaching them. She had brown hair tied into a low ponytail and was wearing a purple hoodie.

"Ronnie Anne!" Lincoln exclaimed with a smile.

"Hey, you guys." Ronnie Anne greeted. "How's it been?"

"Good! We're so glad to see you, too!" Stella remarked.

"Also, did you get your own Pokémon Partner?" Clyde asked.

"I sure did. And here he is." Ronnie Anne replied before extending her arm.

Suddenly, something invisible was revealed to be perched on Ronnie Anne's arm. It was a reptilian-like Pokémon with blue skin, a large fin on it's head with yellow colourings on both sides, a long tail, two digits on both it's hands and feet, and two dark-blue dots on it's cheeks. This was the Water Lizard Pokémon, Sobble.

"Everyone, say hi to Sobble." Ronnie Anne introduced.

"Sobble, Sob." Sobble said with a soft smile.

"Wow! What a little cutie!" Stella exclaimed with shiny eyes.

"Sob!' Sobble shouted in fear, quickly hiding behind Ronnie Anne.

"Did I do something?" Stella asked.

"Sobble's just a bit shy. But, he and I hit it off pretty well." Ronnie Anne answered.

"Oh. Sorry, little guy." Stella apologised. "I didn't mean to frighten you."

"Snivy, Sni." Snivy said reassuringly.

"Sobble." Sobble whimpered.

"Don't worry, pal. They're my friends." Ronnie Anne assured, petting Sobble on the head.

"To be fair, you used to pull pranks on Lincoln during our first days at the Academy." Clyde reminded.

"Yeah, but that was only because I wanted to try making him laugh to become his friend!" Ronnie Anne retorted in annoyance. "How many times do I have to remind you, McBride?!"

"A lot, I guess." Clyde quipped, making Squirtle giggle in response.

"Anyway, I bet your cousin and big brother are gonna be excited to see how strong you can be, Ronnie Anne." Lincoln said.

"You got that right, Lame-O." Ronnie Anne replied. "And the same goes for your sisters."

"Right. Let's both do our best." Lincoln agreed.

"For sure. Also, Professor Ramirez tasked me with handing these out to new Trainers." Ronnie Anne said as she reached into her backpack.

She then pulled out three red devices that were shaped like squares and had Pokeball images on the front.

"Pokédexes?! Cool!" Lincoln stated.

He, Clyde and Stella then accepted their Pokédexes from Ronnie Anne.

"Thanks so much for these, Ronnie Anne!" Stella said with a grateful smile.

"No problem." Ronnie Anne replied. "You can go ahead and test them out."

Lincoln, Clyde and Stella nodded in response before they pointed their Pokédexes at their respective Pokémon. The two front sides on each one opened up and showed them a holographic screen of their Partners.

"Scorbunny, the Rabbit Pokémon. A Fire type." Lincoln's Pokédex said. "A warm up of running around gets fire energy coursing through Scorbunny's body. Once that happens, it's ready to fight at full power."

"Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokémon. A Water type." Clyde's Pokédex said. "After birth, it's back swells and hardens into a shell. Powerful sprays foam from it's mouth."

"Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokémon. A Grass type." Stella's Pokédex said. "It is very intelligent and calm. Being exposed to sunlight makes it's movements swifter."

"These work perfectly!" Clyde remarked.

"Thanks again, Ronnie Anne!" Lincoln said.

"Anytime, Lame-O." Ronnie Anne replied. "And hey, maybe you and I could have a battle if we meet up during our Journeys?"

"You bet!" Lincoln agreed, giving her a thumbs up.

"In the meantime, we'd better go and see our families!" Stella suggested. "They've been wanting to see us for ages!"

"Right!" The boys said with a nod.

"I'll see you guys, later then!" Ronnie Anne said as she began to walk off. "Take care!"

"Sobble!" Sobble called out.

"See ya later, Ronnie Anne!" Lincoln stated.

"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny shouted with a smile.

"It was nice seeing you!" Clyde called out.

"Squirtle!" Squirtle added.

"Take care of yourself!" Stella stated while smiling kindly.

"Snivy!" Snivy shouted sweetly.

With everything settled, the three friends and their new Pokémon Partners ran off into the distance to meet up with their families in the main town.

This was surely the beginning of a fantastic journey for Lincoln Loud, Clyde McBride and Stella Zhau.
