A Small Part
. . .
"Ah Midoriya-kun! I see you've broken your fingers again." Kagome giggled, grabbing bandages and casting materials. Midoriya grimaced in pain letting her set the bones before healing them, she apologised.
"I'm sorry about setting them like this, even though my healing can move them back in place it is easier and less taxing on both your body and mine to do this. But it seems the sedative I gave you is helping!" Kagome said, trying to ease his distress. She was in charge for the week since Recovery Girl, her mentor, had taken time off and honestly Midoriya enjoyed her more.
"It's fine Higurashi-sensei! Your quirk is extremely valuable, being able to heal so efficiently without many drawbacks to the patient!" Midoriya praised and whimpered, as she finished setting his fingers. Kagome placed her hand over his, a pink glow appeared swirling around their hands, and he felt nice and warm all over his body.
Every time he was healed by Kagome he felt at peace and content, it's one of the many benefits of her quirk.
Kagome Higurashi.

While Midoriya had an extensive list of favourite heroes, Kagome was on his list of best potential heroes. She had an amazing quirk but he had only ever seen the healing part of it. He never asked why she never used it completely. Recovery girl had informed him that she was strengthening this part of her quirk.
Only a part of her quirk.
He had heard rumours that his second favourite teacher had a bad past, he even heard that a past lover was the cause of her suppression of her quirk. Whatever the reason he hoped that one day he would see her be the hero she meant to be.
"There we go. All done!" Kagome giggled, her white doctors coat swung around her calves as she turned to put her supplies away. He looked to his fingers, bandaged once again and pain free. "Midoriya you need to think of another way to fight without damaging your hands. While I can heal you, there will always be a part that I can't." She admits to him, placing a hand on his back.
"Healing quirks are a double edge sword, I can put the muscle and bone back together but I can't bring back the months of endurance and stamina training you've developed. Essentially your body gets reset with my healing." Midoriya looked down, considering the information as he got and went deep in thought.
"Thank you Higurashi-sensei. I will try my best to remain uninjured!"
Yet he was back in her office two days later, with a broken arm and a sheepish grin.
