Chapter 2 Beach Blanket Babies: Extended Ending the Year 1992

Summary: In this extended scene where Tommy and Chuckie tied Spike's leash to tow the cooler towards the ocean, we see Angelica once again falling victim to karma of the sandy variety.

(Tommy mounts Spike as though he were a horse, preparing to get him to pull the cooler.)

Tommy said Ye-haw!

(He gives Spike the "leg pressure" as he's a horse, and the much stronger Spike begins to run and pull the cooler toward the water at a significant speed with Chuckie running behind to keep up. We now see Angelica happily humming to herself, building a sand castle when she heard something, making her stop what she was doing.

Angelica puzzled) Huh?

She looks up and gasps in alarm to see Spike, with Tommy ride him, cooler in tow as Chuckie kept on running behind.

Angelica yelled Aaah!

(She jumps back, barely getting out of the way just in time, only to accidentally fall back into her sandcastle, causing it to collapse around her and burning her. The moment Spike and the babies left, Angelica pops her head and hands out of the sand, coughing and sputtering. She spat out a mouthful of sand while she frantically tries to brush some out of her hair.

Angelica bleah! said You dumb babies!

(Neither the babies heard Angelica as Spike continued to run towards the ocean, cooler in tow and Tommy still riding him, Chuckie following not far behind. But just as Tommy and Spike were near the water, a huge and dangerous wave suddenly charges forward straight towards them and frightens them away. However, just as the terrified Tommy and Spike turn back and dash away to safety, Spike's leash comes loose from the cooler and leave it behind. Tommy falls off of Spike as the dog continues to run off. Chuckie hurries over to Tommy to help him up.

Chuckie said Oh no!

(The large wave washes up the cooler and pulls it out to the water, where it's remaining contents (including the remaining sea monkeys inside) are spilled out into the ocean and it's lid lost before another wave washes it back onto the beach)

Tommy said We did it, Chuckie! We did it!

(Tommy notices that Chuckie wasn't celebrating over the success of their mission in freeing the sea monkeys. Instead, he looks sad and downhearted.)

Tommy concerned and confused said What's wrong? I thought you wanted to free them.

Chuckie said I know, but I'm not sure they were ready. After all we've been through together, I'll miss 'em. (He sniffles sadly)

(Tommy assumingly said There's still time to say goodbye.

Chuckie call out waving out to sea) GOODBYE, SPIFFY, GOODBYE, SPOT, GOODBYE, BINKY, GOODBYE, OREO, GOODBYE, LEFTY, GOODBYE, MIKE!

(Tommy proudly You did a nice thing for them, Chuckie.

(Chuckie cheering up a bit)

Chuckie asks: "You think so?"

(Tommy assumingly)

Tommy said " Sure. Sea moneys belong in the sea. That's where their real castle is, along with all the sea bananas they'll ever want.

(The camera then begins to pan away from Tommy and Chuckie as they face the sunset.)

Tommy said You did the right thing, Chuckie, and they'll forget you for it.

(The episode ends as Tommy and Chuckie share an emotionally appropriate view of the sunset.)
