Always get so many people wanting more MerAdd in my other fics so here it is! I started this thinking it would just be a usual one shot but the word count justified spilting it in three. This first part is set a few years after Mer won her Harper Avery, the second part will be set around season 1/2 and the last part will be a mixture. Would recommend listening to the song before/while reading. Enjoy!

Our secret moments in your crowded room, they've got no idea about me and you. There is an indentation in the shape of you. Made your mark on me, a golden tattoo.

Meredith was at another boring event, shaking hands with people she couldn't care less about. She had tried to get out of it but Catherine had firmly told her that she was the face of Grey Sloan and that if needed she would drag her there by her ponytail. Everything changed when she won her own Catherine Fox award a few years ago. People had always been drawn to her at events like these, having a famous mother made her much more interesting than most. But now that she had her own, it made her even more fascinating. The chances of someone winning the award were very slim, but a mother-daughter combo both winning it? It was almost impossible.

It was also almost like before, even though she was a respectable doctor, people still believed that she was where she was because of her Mother. Finally winning the award meant that for the first time she felt like she had stepped out of her mother's shadow and she was finally her own person. Unfortunately that came with even more attention.

She sighed and looked around the room, trying to search for someone she knew so she could make her escape. Her eyes filtered over the crowd and stopped at a familiar head of red hair. She tilted her head slightly, a confused smile gracing her face. Surely that wasn't who she thought it was. She tried to think back to the last time she spoke to her. It must have been a couple of months ago now. The redhead threw her head back and laughed and Meredith felt a shiver run down her spine. She would know that laugh anywhere.

"Excuse me." Meredith muttered to whoever she was talking to and started making her way across the room. She knew Catherine's disapproving eyes would be following her, but she couldn't care less. Her heart was fluttering in her chest with impatience. She finally reached her destination and reached out to touch the redhead on the shoulder. "Addison?"

Addison quickly turned and smiled at the sight before her. "Meredith!" She pulled her into a hug.

Meredith felt herself relax in her embrace. "You didn't tell me you would be here." She mumbled into her ear.

"I know how much you hate these things. I wanted to surprise you." Addison replied, taking a deep breath to inhale the other girl's flowery scent.

Their moment was interrupted by the sound of Addison's companion clearing his throat. They pulled back reluctantly and Meredith plastered a fake smile on her face, ready to meet him.

All of this silence and patience, pining in anticipation. My hands are shaking from holding back from you. All of this silence and patience, pining and desperately waiting. My hands are shaking from holding back from all this.

The two women were glued to the hip for the rest of the cocktail hour and when they were asked to take their seats a frown settled over Meredith's face.

"Where are you sitting?" She asked.

Addison looked around. "I don't know, Daniel had the tickets with our table number, but he's disappeared."

"Oh well. I was supposed to bring a date but didn't. There's a spare seat on my table. Just come sit with me."

"Mer, you're sitting at the main table with the bigwigs."

"I know, that's why you have to come save me!" Meredith groaned, shooting her a hopeful glance.

Addison felt her resolve crack at the look on her face and sighed. "Fine but you owe me."

Meredith felt a rush run through her body. She leaned close to Addison and murmured in a sultry voice. "I'll repay you anytime."

Addison looked at the younger girl in surprise. It had been a few years since their last… encounter. In the first 10 years of their friendship, they had been frequent. It hadn't mattered who they had been seeing at the time. They always made their way back together. But that hadn't happened for a while now, Addison had assumed Meredith had gotten it out of her system and was no longer interested. Despite this Addison still held out hope. There was a reason she had flown all the way to Boston, squeezed herself into a tight dress, and suffered through boring conversation. Her mind had been made up the second she got the invitation. She had known that Meredith would be there and it was as good of an excuse as any to see her.

She hated that she needed an excuse to see her but she knew from experience that Meredith got cagey if Addison showed up without an acceptable reason. She knew her better than anyone else but she had never understood that. She knew Meredith no longer cared what people thought of her, her years of being the center of attention for the hospital's gossip train had given her thick skin. Addison had always assumed it was because she was ashamed of her. That assumption was a knife to the heart whenever she thought about it but she had never asked Meredith. At least with her assumption, there was still a slight glimpse of hope that she was wrong. She didn't think she could handle the rejection if the words came out of Meredith's mouth.

Addison shook the thoughts out of her head. She was here with Meredith, having a good time. She wouldn't let her insecurities ruin that. She sat in the seat next to her and shifted uneasily at the stare of Catherine Fox. The older woman's eyes moved from hers to Meredith's and her eyebrows raised in question. Meredith just shot her a look, daring her to question her. Addison felt very much like a pawn in their game. She didn't know how much of Meredith's insistence she sat with her was because she wanted to be near her. She had a feeling the fact that it pissed Catherine off was also a big factor.

All thoughts in her head disappeared when she felt Meredith's small hand on her thigh. Her breath caught in her throat. She looked to her left and any reservations floated away at the look on Meredith's face. Her green eyes had always been a window to her true feelings and when they met hers, the only thing that was displayed was pure happiness.

Say my name and everything just stops. I don't want you like a best friend. Only brought this dress so you could take it off. Carve your name into my bedpost, 'cause I don't want you like a best friend. Only brought this dress so you could take it off.

The entire dinner had been torture for Meredith. Since laying her eyes on Addison all she had wanted to do was drag her back to her hotel room and do what they did so well together. Instead, she had to smile and laugh while sitting through boring speeches and lame jokes.

That hadn't stopped her hands from wandering under the table. Meredith loved how after all this time she still had the same effect on Addison. She wasn't even anywhere near Addison's center and her eyes were already glazed over and a couple of shades darker than usual. The changes wouldn't be noticeable to anyone else at the table but Meredith could read her like a book. She could play her like a violin as well.

Meredith watched Addison slowly consume more and more alcohol throughout the night with satisfaction. When she was drunk she was ten times more reactive to her touch. It made her come apart faster, harder, and usually more often. Meredith had stuck with nonalcoholic beverages, she had learned long ago that at these events she was held to a much higher standard. While everyone else could get as drunk as they liked, she had a reputation to uphold. Medical royalty. Her friends often used that term to tease her. But it was the truth and just like any other royals, her actions were constantly scrutinized. She was lucky that within the walls of Grey Sloan people were loyal to her and she could be herself. Any mistakes made outside of those walls were spread like wildfire throughout the medical community and impacted her credibility.

But none of that mattered now. The dinner was finally over. Meredith stood up and a knowing look passed between her and Addison. Meredith said her goodbyes with another fake smile on her face and made her way to the exit. She didn't have to check behind her to know that Addison was right behind her. She jumped into a waiting cab and scooted over to allow room for the other woman.

She gave her hotel address to the driver and sat back. Her hand moved to join with Addison's and she let out a breath of relief. Not only could she finally let down the walls that had surrounded her since she had arrived in Boston but she also had the one person who made the whole world slow down sitting next to her.

She knew that she shouldn't be letting herself fall back into this pattern that they had but she couldn't help herself. The years of progress, years of holding Addison at arm's length, only allowing her to be a friend were fading away. She was struggling to remember the reasons why she had stopped in the first place. Did anything matter as much as the calm that passed over her whenever Addison was around?

The cab finally pulled up at the hotel and they both made their way to the elevator not saying a word. With anyone else, the silence would have been awkward and uncomfortable but with Addison, words just weren't necessary. The doors shut and for the first time in what felt like forever, they were finally alone. Meredith turned to Addison and gently moved a piece of her hair out of her face. She leaned in and placed an innocent kiss on her cheek.

"Meredith." Addison sighed blissfully.

Meredith felt her whole world stop at her name rolling off Addison's tongue. It sounded so right. If she had to pick one person to listen to forever, it would be Addison. The elevator doors opening broke them from their trance and reminded them of where they were and what they could be doing just down the hall.

Desire ran through Meredith's body at the thought and all of a sudden she couldn't wait another second. She grabbed Addison's hand and pulled her toward her room. Addison followed eagerly. As soon as they were through the door, Meredith slammed it shut and was pushing Addison against it. Their lips met with a searing kiss, a battle of tongues.

Meredith's hands were all over Addison. One second they were pulling her hair the next they had migrated to caress her breasts. Her mouth moved from her lips and went straight to the spot she had memorized years before. The spot that when she flicked her tongue against, it made Addison moan with the most delicious sound. It wasn't enough for Meredith though. She needed her to be screaming her name out. She stepped back and took Addison's hand, leading her to the bed. She stopped at the foot of the bed and reached for the zip of Addison's dress. She slowly brought it down and groaned in appreciation at the sight it revealed.

"When I picked this dress I imagined you taking it off me." Addison said huskily.

Meredith's eyes flashed with possession and satisfaction. She unclipped her bra and stepped back to admire the other woman. "Get on the bed."

She watched with hooded eyes as Addison positioned herself on the bed, she already knew exactly what was coming. Meredith slipped out of her dress and climbed onto the bed and straddled her. Her lips went straight back to the spot she was previously assaulting but once she had given it the required attention she started moving south. She moved to pull Addison's panties off and cupped the area they had just exposed. Addison's moans got louder and she squirmed under Meredith's touch.

Meredith smiled and slowly moved her finger up through her folds and lightly passed over the center of nerves that were begging to be touched. Addison's body thrashed at the touch and she started panting. Meredith moved her fingers back to her folds and inserted one finger.

"God. Please Mer."

"What do you want Addie?" Meredith asked not moving her hand at all, she loved to make the other woman beg.

"I want you. I need you."

"You need me to what?"

"I need you to fuck me."

Those were the words Meredith so desperately wanted to hear. She withdrew her finger and slammed three back in. Hard and fast, back and forward. She desperately wanted to taste her but she needed to watch her come apart first. She had all night to get her fill and her first orgasm was always the most powerful. She moved her thumb so it was bumping her clit with every pump of her fingers. She knew Addison was close so she started curling her fingers to hit her g spot. It only took a few more seconds and Meredith witnessed the most beautiful scene. Addison's mouth was open in a scream of pleasure and her face was filled with pure bliss. Meredith watched her ride out the waves with a look of pure wonder on her face.

Her heart clenched, she knew she wouldn't be able to stay away any longer.

Let me know what you think! I have the second part mostly writen and ready to go. Would love some feedback before I post.
