A few days had passed since Desmond and Amber had won Popov's Dance competition. Amber had planned out a victory party at her place in Enchancia, and all of her friends that she had invited had come over. The party's main theme revolved around how she and Desmond had won. Desmond was kind of shy about it, but Amber kept bragging about how great they did.

Hildegard was very sick of this. "Amber, you know you only won because of that dress. It's not fair that my royal dress maker is not as good as yours," Hildegard complained.

Amber was very offended by this. It wasn't the dress that had made them win, well, it might've helped, but it was also very much all the talent they had. "Hildy, that's not true at all. Desmond and I worked very hard for that competition and we won fair and square. I bet you didn't even practice," Amber said with a smirk.

"Zandar and I practice very much, thank you! Hmph," Hildegard lied. Knowing that this was only half true and Zandar was the only one that had practiced the dance. How he managed to practice without her was beyond her. But Hildegard had one more thing to add to the conversation, "at least Zandar pays more attention to me and notices me more. Desmond just ignores you."

"What?! Desmond notices me, he always knows when I need help," Amber defensively corrected.

"Uh huh, of course he does," Hildegard said sarcastically, as she fluttered her fan in front of her face.

"Hildegard, I will let you know that I could prove you wrong right now if I wanted," Amber firmly declared.

Hildegard saw Zandar in the distance getting himself some punch, "Oh Zandar, darling. Could you be so kind and fetch me a bit of Punch to drink? I'm dehydrating and need something to drink so badly!"

Zandar's eyes lit up, Hildegard was actually noticing him for once. In his mind this was definitely some good progress. "Sure thing Hildegard!" Zandar quickly poured punch in a cup, and handed it over to Hildegard.

"Thank you, Zandar," Hildegard gave Amber a smirk, feeling like she had just proved her point.

Amber had an idea of something that'd be way more impressive than a cup of punch, however. Using a soft sweet voice, Amber called Desmond, "Yoo hoo, Desmond! Could you please help me place down all the picnic blankets for lunch?"

To this Desmond agreed. He worked hard in setting up all the blankets for all their friends to sit on for lunch. He did all of this as Amber gave Hildegard a stare and a smirk.

Later as they all sat down on the blankets eating their lunch, with Hildegard and Zandar sitting next to each other, and Amber and Desmond sitting next to each other, Hildegard got an idea. "Zandar, could you please give me a slice of that pie?"

"Sure Hildegard! Your wish is my command," Zandar said with a smile. He was definitely enjoying this.

Hildegard felt accomplished, as she whispered to Amber. "Try and beat that!" She then gave a smirk once again. Amber was getting tired of this back and forth. She knew Desmond would actually do anything for her and she was gonna prove it once and for all.

After lunch, Right before getting up from the picnic, Amber had one last thing she knew not even Zandar would do for HIldegard. "Oh Desmond," Amber started, "would you kiss my hand as I leave lunch?" She said this loud enough that all the kids heard. She then extended her hand and offered it to Desmond.

Desmond was so embarrassed. He held her hand and froze, ALL his friends were staring at them, he knew Amber was only doing this to compete with Hildegard, but that didn't matter. If Amber wanted a kiss on the hand he'd give it to her. He contemplated the situation for a few seconds, but then, he did it. Desmond kissed Amber's hand. Desmond could hear the other kids talking and reacting in shock.

"Ewww gross!" James said in disgust, sticking out his tongue.

"Yuck." Zandar agreed. He loved Hildegard, but not even he could have the courage to do that.

Amber was so proud of this moment, she just smiled and looked at Hildegard, with a look of victory. "I bet Zandar wouldn't kiss your hand."

"Well, he… he might!" Hildegard started, "Zandar, would you…." But Zandar and all the boys (except Desmond who was blushing intensely) had run away. "Hmph!" Hildegard stormed away and didn't try to compete with Amber anymore. Amber had won, but she'd never admit it.

The End.
