Evelyn's P.O.V
It's been about three months since that night I talked with Leo. He has truly proven to be a good friend and a trusted comrade. He agreed to help free me from the purple dragons. As a way to pay him back for helping me. We're working together to stop the dragon's ammunition sales. He gave me his cell phone, or should I say Shell Cell. Whenever I hear anyone mention about other ammunition sales. I call Leo and we meet up so I can tell him what I've heard. Since the dragons stole all the weapons from the M.A.R.S Company we've done everything we can to stop those guns from getting out on the streets. With this small tag team we've been able to take down some of the smaller sales. However; the dragons are still getting the weapons out on the streets and into the hands of lowlife thugs. I've warned April as well as Mr. Heng and his wife. The last thing I'd ever want is for them to get mugged by some triggered happy freak with a new toy. They helped us a lot over the years and they became like grandparents to my brothers and I. That's why I trusted them with my father's most valuable treasure. They understand just how valuable it is and promised to take care of it until the time calls for me to use it.
Even though I've come to trust Leo, I haven't come around to tell him the whole truth about me and my persona. I know I have to tell him, but now isn't the time. Still I'm hoping I can keep this charade up. I almost blew it when he said he saw me with my brother and wondered why I was there. So I lied and said that I live in a different location. That way if the gang were to ever follow me home, they wouldn't be able to meet my siblings. Thankfully he bought my bluf. And so I've been riding that lie for a while now. And I've also come to finally learn the identity of my family's guardian angel. Every once in a while I would find extra food or supplies left at our doorstep and it really warms my heart. I've come to truly believe that this friend of mine was heaven sent. If not to help me but help my brother have a better life than the one I'm giving them. He's given me hope that I can finally be free from the Purple Dragons. And with his help I'll be able to give a better life to my brothers. That is why more than anything, I want to put an end to the Purple Dragons once and for all. And their end will be coming.
Tonight I'm at the Purple Dragon's base for some "Important" group meeting and it's all the buzz. It seems like mine and Leo's work is starting to bare fruit. We've created such havoc that even Hun as decided to honor us with his presence. Since we've been behind on out sales his boss is getting annoyed that we aren't making the money that we should be making. Hun goes off on an angry rant as he hits and throws things around the base. He goes on and on how we are failing the "Master". And that if we don't start making cash, he will cause problems for us. This is not exactly the effect that I wanted our work to cause but I'm glad that we're causing something. I can see how much this boss really scares him. And hearing his terrified and worried voice really pleased me. However I wonder; who is the boss or "Master" that Hun refers to. Still that does explain Hun's theft plans over the years. He's too much of a gutter rat to know about some of these high class companies. Anyways after his temper tantrum; he explains about the next ammunition sales and he also mentions that in four days tops, there's going to be a huge sale at one of the "Master's" warehouse. With this new information in mind; I immediately leave the group meeting to call Leo.
Once I'm outside the base I duck behind the nearby fence and start dialing and wait for him to answer.
(Ring... Ring...Ring...)
Leo- "Hello" His voice answers.
"Hey Leo; it's me." I said.
Leo- "Hey Emmett, what's up?" He asks.
"I got news about another ammunition sale." I said
Leo- "Really where?" He asks.
"There's going to be a couple of sales going down on the corner of Eastman and Laird. Nothing that we can't handle." I said.
Leo- "Hm...you're right we can handle those sales." He agreed.
"However in about four days there's going to be a big sales at some warehouse." I informed him.
Leo- "I see, I'm going to need the guys on this one." He said thinking out loud. "Do you think you can get me the location of the warehouse." He asks.
However just before I could answer, I hear someone call my name. I look and it's Hun. I quickly hang up and act normal. That way Hum doesn't get susspious of me. So far I've been able to keep my connection to Leo a secret. And I want to keep it that way.
"When did you get a phone?" He ask me.
"I swiped it off some poor loser when I was on the Subway. It was pretty cool looking so I decided to take it for myself." I lied, hoping that he would buy this lie.
"Oh really, let me see your new cell." Hun says as he walks towards me. Just before he could reach my hand I quickly duck away.
"No way. I don't want your big gorilla hands to crush my new cell." I say teasingly before I stick my cell in my pocket. Hopefully he didn't see it. "What do you want?" I ask in my normal rude and annoyed tone.
"I wanted to discuss with you about the up and coming sales. My master wants the security to be on point. So I want to put you in charge of the security details." He says. This surprises me and actually gives me an idea.
"Okay I'll do it." I say without hesitation.
"Well you seem eager to this. Usually I would have to sweet talk you into agreeing." He says noticing my sudden change in personality.
"Hey, I'm just hoping to get a chance to go at those turtles again." I say trying to not seem different. "I want to get back at that blue masked turtle with the butter knives. I owe him for cutting my arm." I say acting menacingly and hungry for revenge. Thankfully Hun both this becuase he snickered deeply. Proud to see my dark and menacing side. Which seems to have worked.
"Excilent. I will discuss the security plans with you later." He says before we walks away.
I take that as my cue to leave as well. I leave the layer and duck into a nearby subway. I walk down the stairs and blend in with the crowd. Once I'm mixed in with a crowd I follow the flow and step into the train. Once in I get off on the first stop and head towards a near by alleyway. I climb up the fire escape lader and climb up to the top.
Once at the top, look around and see that no one is near and noone should be able to see me from up here. I pull out the phone again and call Leo once again.
(Ring... Ring...Ring...)
Leo- "Hello" His voice answers.
"Hey Leo; it's me again." I said.
Leo- "Emmett, are you okay? When you suddenly hung up, I got worried." He asks worriedly.
It was really nice to hear his worry. It kind of reminded me of when my dad worries.
"I'm alright. I was almost caught by Hun." I said. "Thankfuly he didn't catch me. Almost, but I managed to make him lose interest." I said explained what happened.
Leo- "Oh good. I'm glad you didn't get caught." He said relieved. " I wish I could be there with you. I hate that you have to face those thugs alone." He says.
"I appreciate it man, but I can handle these brainless idiots." I say with a chuckle. "Still what I was going to say is that Hun announced that big sales. And I've got some good news." I say excited.
Leo- "What the good news?" He asks.
"Hun has put me in charge of security details for the sales." I inform.
Leo- "That will actually work to our advantage." He said pleased.
"I thought so too. With me in charge I can tell you and your brothers all the weak points for you guys to get in undetected." I explain.
Leo- "This is perfect Emmett. This is just the edge we need." Leo says happily.
"Speaking of your brothers. When will you introduce them to me?" I ask curiously.
Leo- "I'm still trying to sort it out. I do want them to meet you and for them to know that we have an ally in the dragons." He says, however it sounds like there's more to his words. "But if I'm being honest, I kind of dont want to. For these past months its been fun teaming up with you. It felt great to be able to handle crime like this." He says honestly as I heat his sincerity and joy in his voice. "Its been fun to play Batman and Robin with you and I guess I wanted it to be just the two of us for as long as possible." He says with a chuckle.
"I never pegged you as a comic book nerd Leo." I say playfully as I chuckle along with him.
Leo- "I'm not, my brother Mikey is. He's all about Hero's and comics. He's obsessed. It got to the point where he even tried to be a hero. Called himself, the Turtle Titan." He tells me.
"That actually sounds really cool. But for the record buddy, your Robin. And I'm Batman." I say. "You are too optimistic and up beat. I'm more of the brooding and serious vigilante hero." I explain. "Besides I don't think you have a single brooding bone in your body" I say with a chuckle which I hear reply with his own chuckle.
Leo- "Now who sounds like a comic book nerd." Leo says with a chuckle.
"Haha; maybe but I think at one point in our lives we all believed that we could be hero's. With the cool costumes and powers." I say as I laugh along with him. "Still I wish I could be a hero not just to save the world but to at least be one for my siblings." I say a little deeply as I look out into the sleepless city.
Leo- "But you are one. And I'm sure your siblings already think of you as their hero. You may not have super powers but the fact that you are so strong and so brave to keep them safe and happy is enough to make you their hero." Leo said comfortingly.
His words really hit me deeply. And it made me feel better about myself. And gave me hope that I can be a hero to my brothers. Since all this time; I've felt like I was a villain. But his words reassured me that there is still a chance for me to set things right.
"Thanks Leo, that means a lot." I say greatfuly.
Leo- "Anytime Emmett." He says. Suddenly I hear voices in the background. Sounds like some of his brothers. "Ive got to go Emmett. I'll call you later." He says.
"Okay then, see yeah later Leo." I say before I hang up. I look out into the sleepless city as the lights of the building creates a peaceful atmosphere. It puts my troubled heart and mind at ease. With the help of Leo's words.
"Leo; you really are an amazing being. For all that you've done for me these past three months. I want to do whatever I can to help you and your brothers bring down the purple dragons." I say as determination and strength fills my heart with more power and confident to put an end to these dragons. "That is how I can repay you for what you have done for me and my family." I say to myself. I stay on the roof a little longer before I begin my journey back home, running over roof tops.
Leo's P.O.V
After my phone call with Emmett I walk out of my room and into the living room. Donnie called my name as well as the rest of the guys. My guess is that he must have discovered something.
"What's up Donnie?" I ask as my brothers gather around his desk.
"I did some research and it turns out that almost half of those guns that the Purple dragons stole have turned in and to police." He said as he shows us a list on his computer screen.
"Wow looks like our guys in Blue have really stepped up." Mikey said impressed.
"Actually according to the reports, the guns were left over after the police found the thugs tied up." Donnie said.
"Well sounds like someone is doing our job." Raph said a little annoyed as he crosses his arms. "Looks like we need to up our game. We don't need anyone trying to steal our thunder." He says as he twilrs his sais in his hands.
"Still there are still some guns still out there and the most dangerous ones haven't been reported in." Donnie says.
"Its possible that they maybe holding the more powerful weapons for something special." I said out loud.
"Like what Leo?" Donnie ask me.
"What if the Dragons want to sell the best guns at special kind of action or something." I think to myself. Which of course I already know that they plan on doing that since Emmett told me.
"That would be a possibility. Now all we need to do is figuer out where they will host their so called special event." Donnie said.
"Then that's our mission is to find out where the dragons will host this event and try to stop it." I said as punch my fist into my palm.
"Alright ill try to find some sort of clue." Donnie said before he turns back around to face the comupter.
"And while the braniac is doing his thing. Ill do what I do best." Mikey said.
"Being a complete nitwit and embarase yourself." Raph says teasingly making all of us be Mikey laugh.
"No, beating my high score at Space Inavders game" Mikey says before he runs back to the couch and start pushing buttons on the controller.
Once our little meeting came to an end I decided to go visit Emmett's siblings. Just to see if they are okay.
"Yo Leo where you going?" Raph asks.
"Just going to hit the roof tops to do some training." I awnsered. Hopefully he won't get curious.
"Oh really, you've been going out a lot lately. And have been coming home late." Raph says getting suspicious about me. I was afriad of this. I didnt want the guys to know just yet about Emmett and his siblings.
"Yeah well you know me. Training and training." I say trying to act normally even though I'm very nerouse.
"Maybe I should join you on these midnight training sessions." He suggests.
"No!" I say suddenly which surprises him. "I mean this is something for me. You know so I can just relieve some stress or just to get into my own and to be in my own world." I explain. Hoping he doesn't get suspicious.
"Okay, whatever you say bro." Raph says before he walks back to his room.
Once he's gone, I take this chance to walk to Master Splinter's room. I want him to know where I'm going so he doesnt worry. I knock on the door and wait for him to tell me to come in. When I hear his voice from the other side, I enter the room and kneel before him.
"Master, I'm going out I will be back by dawn." I say as look at him.
"I see. Be well my son." He says. Which I know what his hidden meaning behind his words. It seems that he knows who these three kids are. Which is why he's so concerned for their welling.
"I will sensie." I say as I bow my head. Then I leave his room and head to the surface. Once outside, I start my journey to my destination.
At an abandoned
I arrive at the abandoned house where Emmett's siblings are hiding. I sneak closer to peer inside. From what I can see is that the two young boys are playing together but I don't see the older sister. I climb up to the next level and peek inside. Once I look I spot her brushing her hair. And once again I find myself staring so intensely at her. She's just so beautiful and her eyes. They seem so sad, so lonely. It warmed my heart when I would see her eyes glow with love and care when shes with her brother. But just like Emmett they both share those lonly and burdened eyes. I trully want to give them all a better life. A life with no more hardship and peace. I want to see her smile again.
'Oh great Leo, your crushing on your friends sister. This is just trouble waiting to happen.' I thought to myself as I chuckle softly. However I'm so lost in my thoughts I did not watch my step. I accidently step on a loss bar on the fire escape and it creates a noise. Catching the girls attention. She turns in my direction and I quickly hide.
"Hello." She calls out. She walks towards the window and opens it. As she looks around I do my best to keep quite and still in the shadow of the building I'm hiding in. "I know your there. You've been watching over my brothers and I for awhile now." She says as she continues to look around for me.
I continue to stay quite and stay hidden. Debating whether I should show myself or not. Im not sure if Emmett has told them about me. Since he's so protective of them; he probable hasn't told them. So I think its best for him to tell his family about us.
"Or you may have already left and I'm just talking to an empty alley way, like some weirdo." She says with a chuckle. "But if there is a slim chance that you are still there and you just don't want me to see. That's okay, I understand you want to stay hidden." She says gently as a small smile appears on her face. "So I just want to say, thank you. Thank you for looking after my brothers and me. And I hope to see you someday." She says greatfuly before she closes the window. Once she's away from the window I jump to my usual spot that allows me to see the whole area of their house. My heart would not stop beating as I heard her voice up close. Its so calm and so gentle. I dont know why I'm acting this way. And why she has this strange effect on me. But all I know is that I want her and her brothers to be safe. And I will do eveything I can to protect them.
Eve' P.O.V
After I closed the window, speaking my thoughts to my guardian angle turtle. I go down stairs to get my brothers ready for bed. They do their usual rutine and get ready for bed, then I do the same. Once I'm done both my brothers are already snuggled up in their beds and fast asleep. I tenderly stroke their heads. Smiling to myself as I admire their precious sleeping face. Then I turn my attention to window near our bedroom. It looks out into the nieghberhood. And across the street is a building that was once a store but is now vacant and waiting to be either taken down or reused. There I know thats where Leo is watching us from. Its a perfect spot for him to watch over us.
"One day you will know the truth. And I can finally talk to you as the real me. Not this persona that you have befriended." I whsiper to myself as I continue to look out the window. 'And I hope you will still want to be my friend when the truth is revealed.' I think to myself as I snuggle into my sleeping bag. 'Your my frist real friend and I don't want to lose you.' I think sadly fearing the possibility. Still I have a small spark of hope that he will still consider me a friend when this is all over. With that small sliver of hope filling my heart, it calms my heart and I fall to sleep. Joining my brothers in our own world of dreams and fantasy.
Moments later at a large building hidden deep in the city of stones.
Author P.O.V
At the top level of a large building, with a Japanese exterior design to it, Hun arrives to his Master's office. After his meeting with the dragons, Hun was ordered to appear before his master in his private office. A room that is decorated with traditional Japanese artifacts and antiquities. Sitting in the back of the room behind a deck sits a man. About mid 30'ds with his hair sleeked back. He is dressed in a white and grey traditional japanese style robs with a strange red symbol sitting on his chest. His piercing eyes glear at his muscle bound serpent.
"You summoned me, Master." Hun said as he kneels before the man.
"Ah Hun, I'm glad you could come. I have something very important to show you." The man said as his cold and cruel voice cuts through tge air like a knife.
"What is it that you want to show me master?" Hun asks his master as he looks up at him.
"I had some of my Foot Ninja do some investigating on one of the recent arms sales." The man said as he stand up from his desk. "And what they had discovered, is something that has quite displease me." He continues as he walks down from his desk as walks towards his henchman.
"And what could that be, my master?" Hun asks surprised.
"It would appear that you have a mole hidden in your group." The man saud as he walks around Hun. "And they appear to be working with the use Turtle creatures in order to stop our sales." The man explained as he suddenly stops beside his henchman.
"That is impossible. No one from the Purple Dragons would ever help those turtle freaks." Hun said shocked as he suddenly stand on his feet.
"You dare to question me" The man demands as his voice is raised. He grabs his henchman's hand and twists it in a direcrion that cause pain to Hun.
"N-No M-Master I did not intend to.."Hun tries to speak but is unable to speak clearly through his pain. His master finally lets him go and walks back to his desk.
"Here is what my ninja has discovered. And you tell me what you see." The man says as he pushes a button on his desk. This causes a screen to descend down from the ceiling. Then a video is played on the screen. On the screne it shows a secret base where the weapons that they stole from M.A.R.S was being held. The men on the screen are getting the weapons ready to sell when suddenly two figures appear on the screen. One of those figures is blue masked turtle. And the other is a masked man fighting along side the turtle.
"All I see is some punk fighting along side one of those turtles." Hun said as he stairs at the screen. "I dont understand why you say that one of my men has betrayed the gang?" He asks.
"Look closer at the turtle's partner." The man demanded in a deadly tone.
Hun does what is master says and he looks closely at the video. As he watches intently on the other fighter. He suddenly sees something that chances his eye. The video zooms in on the one of the masked figures hand. And it show an all too familiar dragon tattoo. One that Hun is very familiar with.
"That's Emmett." Hun says surprised as he look at the screen. Completely shocked to find out that one of his own would join the turtles. Espcially someone like Emmett.
"So that is the name of this traitorous dragon." The man said with a snarling at his henchman.
"I...I don't understand stand. Why would Emmett of all people would ever team up with those freaks." Hun says baffled by what he say.
"It would seem that you cannot handle your own men if one of them was able to change sides so easily." The man says with so much venom dripping in his words. "I want this traitor brought before me." He demands as he glares furiously at the video screen where the masked man. "I shall deal with myself. I want him to suffer for his betrayle." He says as he glares furiously at the man before he pulls out his claws. Then fatser than bolt of lighting he cuts the screen into shreds.
"Master Shedder; I may have something in mind. Something that I think you will be very satisfide with." Hun says with a dark chuckle.
"What do you have in mind?" The master asks.
"First there is somthing you should know about Emmett. Something that might be of use for you." Hun chuckles as a sinister smile spreaks across his large face.
