"It's just a little bit of rain. How bad could it get?" Ron said cheerfully. Ever since he and Hermione had gotten together it seemed like there was nothing that could get him down, on the other hand, Harry was looking up at the sky with suspicion.
"Why did you think we should do a camping trip anyway?" Harry asked curiously. It was not like their former camping adventures had left them with positive memories of the situation. Of course, now Voldy was gone, there was no more war or Horcruxes to search for, just the rest of their lives ahead of them.
Ron seemed to think carefully about it. "Well, we are both in relationships now," he paused, and Harry could see his ears turn red. Harry wondered if it was because of Hermione, or because he recently admitted to himself that he was into Malfoy. The two of them hadn't spent much time alone together after that.
"Are you okay with me being gay?" Harry interrupted.
Ron's expression changed and he laughed. "Of course I'm okay with it mate, you are like a brother to me."
The sky seemed to darken even more as they spoke, and the two of them decided it was time to put up the magic tent. Of course Harry got an ostentatious magical tent for the two of them to go camping, it wasn't like the two of them needed to be slumming it in hiding, after all.
"Wow," Ron said as he stepped inside, and Harry grinned.
"Better than the one we borrowed at the World Cup?" He asked.
Ron nodded, doing a quick drying spell before taking a comfy couch by the indoor fireplace. Harry took a seat in a large armchair.
"It's good to spend some time with your mates, even when you are dating someone, you know?" Ron said, wiping his hair from his face.
"Yeah," Harry agreed. "I still don't understand why camping though, but it did give me an excuse to splurge a little."
"A little?" Ron laughed. "I think Malfoy is rubbing off on you."
Harry rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, I have been talking to a mind healer, and I thought it would be good to try to make a positive association with camping, so that we can move forward in our lives."
"Clever, never thought of it that way."
"It really is, Doctor Frankfort has really been helping, you know, the guy Hermione was talking about."
"I remember, and I remember you saying that you would go over your dead body, it seems like that changed."
The noise of thunder shook through the tent, and both men shuddered.
"Yeah, turns out fighting evil villains at age eleven isn't conducive to a healthy life."
Harry sighed.
"Don't," Ron interrupted. "Don't put this on yourself, we had our own choices to make."
"I know but…"
"If you don't stop I'm dragging you to the next session."
Harry laughed. "Okay okay, I'll stop. Let's just enjoy this trip inside this awesome tent while the world rages on outside."
