Kath didn't know what was going on, she was suddenly walking through a hanger, but she had no control over her own body. She walked out to a tarmac "Where are we?" she heard a voice say. A female echidna in a pilot's outfit walked next to her "Where's your head at?" "In the clouds. Where's yours?" "On my shoulders. About to show these boys how we do it. You ready". Kath grinned "Higher, further, faster, baby" the two high-fived before getting into a jet "This can't be right. Go forward". Another time she was training by climbing a rope and then swinging to another. She missed one and fell to the ground while other cadets laughed at her "Am I the only one confused here". Kath was now lying in the grass with a small echidna child next to her. They laughed after Kath said something then the older echidna appeared "Get you butts inside, it's time to eat" "Prepare for take-off, Lieutenant Trouble" "Charming memory". Kath was now back on the tarmac sitting on the hood of a car. A brown Chao came up next to her and she petted it. The older chipmunk appeared wearing a blue vest "Chocola likes you. She doesn't typically take to people" "Early start for you, isn't it" "Uh, late night, actually. I can't sleep when there's work to do. Sound familiar?". Kath shook her head "Flying your planes never feels like work". The older one shrugged and looked out to hills in the distance "Wonderful view, isn't it?" "I prefer the view from up there" "You'll get there soon enough, Ace". The memory suddenly stopped "Wait! Wait, wait! That's her. Get her back". Multiple versions of the same woman begin to appear around Kath "Focus. Look down". Kath looks down and sees the woman's name tag "Dr Julayla Chipmunk. Hurst" "That's her. Do we have her location? Track it until we find the energy signature". Kath's head started to flash with different images before she was again at the crash site seeing Julayla holding a weapon "Interesting".
They then see the disguised Gal "Hey, hold on. Go back right before this". Kath was now in an advanced jet dodging laser fire from something "That's no Blue Hawk" "This is it. Now let me see where you're headed. Let me see the coordinates". Kath looked to the coordinates but she suddenly closed her eyes "No, don't fight. Focus!". Kath instead pulled the ejector and was launched out of the jet "No. Get her back! Get her back now!". Kath opened her eyes and she found herself upside down with Elias and a Gal porcupine having their backs to her looking at a screen showing her memories. Her arms and legs were restrained, and energy was being beamed into her temples. Elias looked angry "Do we have any information we can act on?" "Just that Julayla was somewhere on Planet C-53. We're on our way" the porcupine took a crystal from the computer containing the information. Elias sighed "Then dig deeper. Julayla is our link to that portal-engine! And everything else". Another Gal approaches Kath who's eyes were closed. He then saw her arm restraints were glowing red. They broke free and she hit him in the face before freeing her legs. Her hands were still trapped in metal cylinders. Another aimed a weapon, but Elias stopped him "NO!". Kath fought of four more Gals before pinning Elias against a wall "What did you do to me?" "We're just after information" "What did you put in my head". Elias narrowed his eyes and stared at her curiously "Nothing that wasn't already there". Kath didn't understand "But those aren't my memories". Elias noticed her restraints glowing red hot "What did they do to you?" "Enough! What do you want?" "We're just looking for the location of Dr Julayla and her portal engine". Kath pushed her arm against his throat "I don't know any Dr Julayla". Elias struggled to speak "I don't know what to tell you. But she's in your head?".
Kath sees more Gals enter and she throws Elias at them before running. She keeps running through the corridors and tries to fire from her hands, but the restraints stop her. She keeps running until she sees a small group of Gals in front of her. She looks the way she came where more Gals appear. She is surrounded on both sides with Gals armed with electric sticks. She sighed and held up her hands "I don't suppose you're here to take these off". They all charged, and she rolled her eyes "Yeah, I thought I not". She swipes knocking the Gals down. One punches her in the face and growls, "Shut up!" she hits him in the face. A larger Gal pins her against a wall and multiple then hit her with staffs electrocuting her. She groans in pain as she absorbs the energy, and she is thrown back. She redirects the energy through her hands shooting off the restraints which knocks two of the Gals down. Kath looks at her glowing blue hands grinning "Yes!". She gets up ready to fight but realises that the Gals were looking up fearfully. She turns and realises her beams destroyed part of the wall which bursts open to outer space. Kath and the Gals grab onto part of the ship. The Gals get sucked out into space, Kath struggles to hold on and her rings light up activating their air-charms inside. She gets pulled out and she falls down to the planet. She fires beams from her hands partially controlling her dissent.
Above her the ship starts to self-destruct and collapses in on itself leaving no trace as multiple escape pods fall to a specific spot. Kath fires her beams directing her in the same direction. She crashes through the roof of a video store. Kath pulled her aching body up to her feet, she looks around at the videos "Kath to Psykore command, do you read me?". She checked her left ring "Hello? Do you copy?". She steps out of the shop into the dark car park. She brushes dust off her shoulders and walks over to a car where a walrus security officer was staring at her in silent shock. She knocks on his window; he is still frozen, so she knocks again. He rolls the window down, Kath leans down smiling "Hi. I'm Kath. Zoah Psykore. Is this C-53?". The walrus continues to stare freaked out. Kath looks confused and glances at her left ring and then back to him "Do you understand me? Is my universal translator working?". The walrus slowly nodded "Uh, yeah. I understand you" "Oh, good. Are you in charge of security for this district?" "Um, sort of. The movie theatre has its own guy". Kath glanced where he pointed "Okay. Do you know where I can find communications equipment?". The walrus looks around the car park and then points at an electronics shop. Kath smiled and nodded to the walrus "Thank you".
Elsewhere on a dark beach a group of Gals rose out of the ocean, Elias was in the lead carrying a dying green monkey. He laid his body down in the sand and took his hand as he struggled to breath "You are taking the next step". The monkey started to slowly morph back into his slug form. Elias took out a small syringe from his belt "And you take your journey. But it shall be done as an individual". He injected his dying brother with the chemical who morphed back into a monkey. He held Elias' hands and nodded thankfully to him before his head slowly fell back and he went limp. Elias lowered his head respectfully before taking out another syringe. This time the injection caused the body to start disintegrating so it could not be taken by this planet's inhabitants. Elias turned to the others "Find the girl. She has more information than she knows".
