Chapter One: Part A:
The Handsome Man, Steve McGarrett, Former Commander of the Navy Seals, was making sure that everything was perfect for the day. He always wants to make people happy, & never expects anything in return. It pisses his sister, Mary-Ann McGarrett, who hates to see her brother being taken advantage of. She wishes that some luck will fall on him.
"Hey, Big Brother, How's it going ?", She asked, as she looked up from the Hostess Station at the front entrance of the restaurant. "I am doing good, Mare, How about you ?, Do you need anything ?", The Handsome Man asked, as he went to check on the day's schedule. "I am fine, Bro, No, I don't need anything, Joan is fine, I am just worried about you, Are you getting sleep ?, You meeting anyone new ?", as she looked him over with a critical eye.
"I am fine, I haven't found the one yet, I get enough sleep, I don't want you to worry about me, I will be fine, I got you, this place, our ohana, I am set for life", Mary was not convinced, but she'll let the subject drop. She told them that everything is good for the day, They should be able to get through the night.
Danny saw that Steve's Restaurant was all set up for the evening, He was glad that he always packed with customers, who loves his food. He had his favorite protein shake ready for him. He heard from Tani, & kept that piece of information for later usage. The Blond stood at the entrance, & was getting the courage to go in.
He finally found the courage, He made a gift basket full of sweets, & knew that the little girl, Joan, who was his niece, loves them. He entered the back way, & knocked on the open door, Junior Reigns, One of the Five-O'sChefs, gave him a welcoming smile, & asked, "May I help you, Sir ?", He indicated for him to come in.
"I was wondering if you can direct me where Steve McGarrett is ?, I got him a "Welcome" Present, You know to welcome to the neighborhood", He said, as he blushed, as he felt like a schoolboy experiencing his first crush. Junior pointed him towards one of the offices, that Steve is currently in.
When he entered Steve's office, He found that the hunk was organizing his desk, before he went to to do his shift in the kitchen. The Hunky Brunette sensed that someone was there, He looked up at the blond with a smile, & said, "Hello, May I help you ?" , & waved him into the office, indicated for him to come in, & sit down.
"Damn, He is so gorgeous" , He thought to himself, as he refocused his attention, & cleared his throat, & proceeded to introduce himself to the handsome restaurant owner. "Hello, I am Danny Williams, Your next door neighbor, I own Love Of Sweets Bakery, I met your sister, & beautiful niece when they come in for a quick breakfast, I thought I should introduce myself to you" , They shook hands, & said, "I'm Steve McGarrett, But you already knew that", The Handsome Man offered him a beer, as he held one up for him to see.
"Thanks, I brought you a gift", The Loudmouth Man indicating to the basket that he brought with him, & handed it over to him. Steve smiled such a dazzling smile, which the blond wishes that he could keep in place forever. "Thank you, These are my favorite cookies, Thank you", as he placed them on his desk for now. He went to sit behind his desk, & gave Danny all of his attention. "Mare told me that you were very gracious, & kind to her, & my niece, You are a hit with those Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles for breakfast, I would love to return the favor, Dinner on the house for you, & your family", The Blond was speechless.
"You don't have to do that", The Bakery Owner said in shock to Steve's kindness, & the brunette said, "I insist, Anytime that you want a hot meal, Just come in, & we will hook you up, You showed your kindness first, Now we are gonna do the same", The Shorter Man was impressed, & thought he was more attractive, By doing that move. "If I stay longer, I would be dead in a week", The Hunky Man said thinking to himself. Then, He refocused his attention on Danny.
"Can I give you a tour of the restaurant ?", Steve asks his visitor, as they were leaving the office. "I would love it", Danny said with a smile, as he followed out, He loves the fact that Steve is comfortable in his own element, & showing it to other people. "This is really amazing, I am glad that you are showing me this", as they were out in the Banquet Room, as he took everything in, as the hot brunette was explaining everything to him.
Steve treated Danny to a small tasting of a new dish, that he thinks will be popular, & he made the blond comfortable in the Kitchen, as soon as they entered. Danny likes the special treatment, & thinks that he could get used to it. He was given a lemonade, since the dish was summertime cuisine. He took a bite, & thought that it was delicious, & told him so.
"It is really delicious, I think that you will have a hit on your hands, You are talented at this, Just keep doing what you are doing, You will do great", Danny said honestly, & sincerely to him, as he is already a fan. Steve had a bit of insecurity in what he said next, & was having doubts going in his head. "You really think so ?", The Loudmouth Owner wanted to hurt whoever did this to Steve, He controlled his urge, & said this to him with a smile, as he placed a comforting hand on his arm.
"I really do think so, You can just make anyone happy with you being you, & your food, Now, Since you were welcoming to me, & kind, I was wondering if you, your sister, & niece, Along with your staff would like to join me for breakfast with me, & my kids ?", He waited for the dark-haired man to answer.
"I would love to, I am sure the others too, When I tell them", Steve answered with a big smile, "I have to get back to the bakery", The Shorter Man told him regretfully, Steve nodded, & walked him out personally. As Danny got back to his place of business, Both men were glad that they met each other.
