Hey there folks, so this is another commission, this time by FlashFox, or as he is known on Fan Fiction NeroFlashFox. If you are interested in a commission as well hit me up on discord. I check it several times a day, and truth be told I don't keep up with private messages on fan fiction very well, or emails so the best way to get in touch is through discord.

That being said if you are looking for a commission, or a community to just talk with like minded folks that love fan fiction and the original series we base our stories on come check out these two servers.

The first, the Triumvirate is hosted by myself, Kiege, and TheChamp123 aka Madlad. A link for that server can be found right here→ /auc4PQjVtz

With that all out of the way let's get to business.

Chapter One

Lost and Found Again

The Twins

The Uzumaki twins had never had an easy life. They weren't hunted and attacked or chased around unless they had done something wrong, but that didn't mean their life was easy.

What orphan had an easy life? That was a fair thought, and one the leader of Konoha likely used to justify the continued neglect of the two young children left in his care. They would be a Shinobi and Kunoichi one day after all so best they learned to endure hardships from a young age.

That same leader didn't come around long enough to see the complete disgust directed toward these two orphans. He didn't bother checking in on them to see the way the two of them would be terribly bullied by children their age only for no one to step in on their behalf. Some parents even quietly encouraged such things with their children.

So Naruto and Kaede Uzumaki had a hard life. One that taught them to endure from a very young age. One that made them tough enough to stand up for themselves.

By the time both were eight years old, the other children their age had stopped picking on them. After all it was the same as picking a fight with them and the twins had become pretty good at punching above their weight. Even when there were usually more people for them to punch than the two of them.

Today was different though. The group of five older boys they had finished beating the snot out of after they had started saying something snarky about Kaede's hair had only been the appetizer.

They had older and much bigger friends and siblings that hadn't taken kindly to the twins cracking the younger fives' skulls, and planned to exact some revenge. Already tired and a bit bloodied by their fight against greater numbers earlier the two little blondes had no real option but to run for it.

As usual, Naruto and Kaede proved that they were more than initially met the eye as they put distance between themselves and their pursuers despite being tired already. The chase soon took them out of the village proper and into the training areas and wooded areas that filled the additional space within Konoha's impressive walls.

The twins didn't bother paying attention to where they were headed, they just knew they didn't have it in them to win against seven boys that were all genin age. Even when they raced across training grounds they didn't stop.

Eventually they lost their tails but not before getting themselves lost in a portion of Konoha that only Shinobi went into. Even more than that they had managed to wander into the higher security portion of the training yards. This area of Konoha's training grounds were dedicated to the creation, experimentation, and study of the more dangerous jutsu that might backfire and pose a threat if practiced too closely to the village proper.

While the guards had managed to grab the older boys chasing them, Naruto and Kaede had a bit too much of practice avoiding punishments to be apprehended so easily. Normally this would be no trouble. Even if they avoided the first Shinobi they would be caught by the second. This time however, the mixed situation of having others with them and being in such a surprising place to begin with was just enough for the pair kids to slip past.

Nearby the Third Hokage, the man who had made the decision to allow his charges to ensure such neglect in the first place was attending an experiment alongside his old teammates and rival. His former student, Jiraiya was attempting to force activate his own former student's sealing array that allowed for instantaneous travel.

This seal was not quite on par with the Hiraishin. That technique was compacted into a simple looking design to fit onto Minato's trademark kunai. No, this seal was the size of a full field and even then Jiraiya had complained about being forced to cut corners.

"Will it work?" Hiruzen asked the Toad Sage.

"Honestly? No. Minato was leagues past me when he reworked Lord Second's seal for the Hiraishin. What we're trying to recreate is the next step it's way beyond what I am comfortable with but I followed what notes he left behind to the letter so…in theory." Jiraiya said with a shrug.

"We need this to work. Even if we can't use it in combat we can transport supplies instantly maybe even troops. That's too great of an advantage over the other hidden villages to pass up." Hiruzens old rival, Danzo commented.

"It's not a matter of passing it up, old friend. It's a matter of recreating the technique at all. We've had nothing but failure in the past." Hiruzen calmly replied.

"That may be so Hiruzen but-" The heavily bandaged old man began before he stopped as a pair of golden haired children sprinted out onto the formula array set out in front of the old Shinobi.

"The twins? Why on earth are they out here?" Hiruzen's female teammate Koharu asked in shock.

"Apparently running from something." Homura said with a flat tone.

"Are they bleeding? Wait a minute! Oh shit, hey! You two, stop right there!" Jiraiya shouted as his mind pieced together what he knew was about to happen.

"Where were the guards?" Danzo demanded, but he was ignored. Hiruzen and Jiraiya we're already off of the viewing stage and racing toward the sealing array

They didn't make it in time though. Having seen Jiraiya and Hiruzen heading their way Naruto had grabbed his sister's hand and turned to run the opposite direction their newest pursuers were in. By doing so he crossed directly over the mid point of the array where a simple log of would had been placed to experiment on.

Neither had been watching where they were going of course. They immediately tripped over the piece of wood in their path and fell down onto the array, scraping their bloodied knuckles across the formula.

In that instant they vanished. Only the log remained as the two children disappeared from the face of the earth.

Hiruzen and Jiraiya both slowed to a stop at the sight before the Hokage turned to his student with a hopeful face.

"Where did they go Jiraiya?" He asked.

The toad Sage sputtered for a moment before shrugging when he couldn't seem to make his tongue work.

"You don't know…well can you at least bring them back?" He asked a bit more heated.

Jiraiya ran a hand through his long white hair while looking out over the formula before them.

"Sensei I don't even know how this thing worked to send them somewhere. I have no idea where to begin to bring them back." Jiraiya admitted.

Hiruzen turned his attention back to the array for a moment before blowing out a long suffering sigh.

"Well then…shit" The old man growled getting only a nod from his student.

The Fox

Nearly a decade being split into two halves of his being had not done Kurama anything approaching a favor. Having the rest of his being so close by in the other one of the two accursed twins he was sealed within was maddening.

For years he worked to try and weaken the seal keeping him trapped within the puny little humans that acted as his prison or rather prisons. Slowly he found a way to do just as he wished though. Pushing little portions of his chakra into the systems of his jailers had slowly begun to form cracks.

The portion he pushed out was surprisingly absorbed by the children but that was of little consequence. He could feel himself drawing closer to his freedom everyday. A few more years and he might even had been able to try and influence his host's emotions directly. That would be another great step closer to breaking free of these thrice damned Uzumaki whelps.

He ignored whatever bland and forgettable lives the twins seemed to have. Thankfully they remained close by to one another everyday reassuring him of his other half.

That being said, they had always been close as infants but that had been horrible. Not yet use to his chakra bleeding into their bodies he knew it caused them pain, but the bawling they let lose was deafening from within this mindscape.

He almost thanked whatever deities the humans worshipped for it finally stopping when they lost their little whiney voices. Though he was annoyed by the resultant hoarse voices both twins developed from the damage caused as babes.

Today had been disasterous for his eventual freedom though. No that wasn't quite true. It had been disasterous for his freedom on his own terms.

Whatever nonsense the pair of little imbeciles managed to get themselves into had led them into some transportation technique and Kurama could feel the changes occuring not only in himself but in the environment around the two children.

Freedom came for him after so many years spent as the prisoner of the Uzumaki clan but the cost was infuriating. He was ripped from his prison, torn away from his power as he watched powerlessly while it was absorbed, no devoured by the two Uzumaki as they hurtled through a void of starlight and silence.

Kurama was bound to the world of Shinobi. As much a part of it as anything else and a being composed only of chakra and thought. His consciousness could never leave his dimension.

So, just as if he was slain like some of his siblings had been over the millenia, he would slowly reform before regaining a physical form.

Begrudgingly he accepted that fate as his own. At the very least he hoped whatever fate awaited the twins was multitudes worse than his own. His hopes felt rewarded as he watched the twins lose control and break their tight hold of one another before disappearing from the void entirely.

That was his final sight and thought toward the two children as he was forcefully returned to the world he had always known.

Kaede

She tried to hold on as she and Naruto began to pickup speed. One moment they were stumbling over in some field after an honestly shitty day and the next they were spinning in the stars. Or something like that.

The space around them was confusing and really just insane. Too many colors and lights and no noise at all except for her own screaming and that of her brother. Slowly she felt herself slipping and the grip they had held between their hands broke apart.

Almost simultaneously a wave of pain and energy crashed through her body forcing her unconscious. She had no idea for how long.

When she finally woke back up again she was in someplace out of a novel or a movie. A city with towering buildings and bright lights lit up the night almost as well as the sun could. Still there were many dark places, like where she had evidently landed that had hardly any light at all.

Forgotten alleys filled with trash and filth, crawling in rats and home to only the most down trodden of the city's people.

Naruto wasn't here.

That was one of the first things that she noticed. The panicked realization that she was alone for the first time in her life and it was in a very strange place brought tears to her eyes as she began moving around to regain her bearings.

The first thought in her mind was to find her twin. She crept out of the dark depressing alley and looked for him whispering his name and trying not to catch the attention of the throngs of people in the streets nearby.

Her experience was that it was best to avoid them just like the people of Konoha had avoided her and her twin in the past.

Panic drained down into dread though as it became clear that Naruto was not here. She really was all alone. Falling onto the same instinct that had gotten her and Naruto through the hardest times whenever a bully would steal their food money, Kaede went to work trying to find something to put on her empty stomach.

After that she could find a place to sleep for the rest of the night and then finally really get into the search for her brother.

At least that had been the plan. She found some food. The security at these supermarkets was practically nonexistent and she was in and out with enough to last her for a while without them noticing her. Finding shelter was easy enough too.

There were a lot of bridges in this city. Big ones too. One of the smaller ones had several people that were down on their luck or for one reason or other were homeless gathered underneath. They had turned the space beneath the bridge into a sort of maze of misshapen shacks. Easily a hundred people stayed there and Kaede disappeared into their number.

She built up her own shack over the course of a few weeks. Quickly making a bit of a name for herself in this community. She didn't speak a word of their strange language and looked very out of place with her bright clean blonde hair and clear skin. Despite her young age it didn't take long for people to try to take advantage of her.

The first was a young man that wanted to force her out of her little hovel and take it for himself. He left after she broke his wrist. It seemed the people of this place were much more fragile than those back in Konoha. That worked in her favor.

The second person to test her had been a bit smarter about it but in the end it had been the same result. A middle aged woman who looked years older than she truly was and had only three teeth had tried to steal some of Kaede's food. The old bag now had one tooth and a healthy respect for the little blonde girl after she reluctantly gave her a pack of some sort of pasta.

The third and final attempt had come from a bulky muscled man who acted like he ruled the community under the bridge. Kaede had watched him force the others to give things up to him as a sort of 'tax' and when they couldn't pay him he either hurt them or he found other ways for them to pay. He seemed to be a bit happier when the women and girls or younger boys couldn't pay up.

Making his rounds he finally stopped at Kaede's hovel and demanded things in his strange language. She didn't know what he was saying but she had a pretty good idea of what he wanted. He pointed to the bowl of food in her hand and then to himself, but she only drew the bowl in closer to himself.

The man snorted before reaching out and grabbing a lock of her long hair and, surprisingly, gently ran his hand through it. Kaede had lived under the bridge for nearly three weeks by this point and she knew what would come next if she didn't fight. She knew what would happen if she did too.

It wasn't a hard choice for her to make. She slapped his hand away making it clear that he disgusted her. That only seemed to amuse him though. He laughed before saying something in the native tongue and reaching for her again while licking his lips.

Once again she slapped his hands away, and had enough power to hurt him, though his rugged arms took the pain better than others would have and he shook his hands to try and relieve what pain he felt. His smile only seemed to widen at the blonde's resistance though and he lunged toward her then.

His foul smelling hands tightly latched onto her thin wrists and he hoisted her up into the air before pulling her in close to his face to say something once again. Kaede shuddered as he leaned forward to loudly sniff at her neck. It was too much for her and she wanted Naruto here to help her so badly. They had always had one another's backs when it came to others trying to take advantage of them.

Now though it was just her. She had to take care of herself.

With an animalistic lunge forward, Kaede latched her teeth onto his big nose with her teeth and bit down as hard as possible. The sickly taste of copper splashed into her mouth and she realized it was his blood.

The big man screamed in horror and pain as he let her go and she stumbled onto the ground. She spit out the chunk of flesh she had bitten out of his face and barely managed to keep herself from throwing up as the man continued to scream and clutch at his face in pain.

Kaede knew to take advantage of the situation while she still could and after regaining her balance on the ground she planted her backfoot and kicked outward and upward with her other foot as hard as she could.

The screaming stopped almost instantly the moment Kaede's foot planted itself at the junction between his legs. A choked whimpering sound accompanied by a gurgle of blood replaced the ear splitting scream he had been letting loose a moment ago. Slowly he teetered back and collapsed onto the ground, unconscious.

Kaede stood over the crumbled and bleeding form of the big bald bully as she had dubbed him in her mind. The rest of the community was shocked at what had happened but soon they applauded her. Well she imagined they were. They shouted some things and laughed while a couple patted her on the shoulder. Two of the younger men drug the big bald bully off somewhere and Kaede honestly never saw him again.

It was nice, to forget for a little bit how alone she was as the people all seemed to crowd around.

The next day though she woke up alone again. She ate alone again. Then when night came, she went to bed alone as well.

All with her thoughts constantly stuck on where her twin could have ended up.

Naruto

Naruto had been furious with himself as he felt his grip on his sister loosen until she slipped away. They were twins and didn't honestly have any idea on which of them was the elder sibling, but Naruto had been just a bit stronger than his sister. Just a bit bigger. Just a bitter meaner.

So he had taken the 'older brother' role. At least in his mind. He was the one that picked fights when someone said something rude about her. He was the one that risked it to steal more often than not whenever someone had supposedly misplaced their food money. He was the big brother. He was supposed to look out for and protect his little sister.

When he woke up though, she was nowhere to be found. No other thought came into his mind but to find her. He tore the alley he was in apart and when she wasn't there he tore apart the next and the next and the next. The bright lights and crowded streets meant nothing to him as he looked for her.

Eventually his frantic search was interrupted as he managed to stumble into some group of street punks that had cordoned off an alley as their little section of turf. The ensuing fight had been incredibly one sided as Naruto discovered the physical advantage he had over the people of this…place.

With no leads on his sister's whereabouts and no idea what to do, Naruto chose to brutally continued his search through the place he had landed in.

Eventually though, hunger and exhaustion caught up with him and he found himself passing out at the worst possible moment. Just as a new group of thugs circled around him with clear intent to haul him off to some unfortunate fate. He didn't have the same oomph when fighting them as he had while laying out the street punks before.

That being said he was still clearly the superior opponent in the fight and the group of men suffered several painful blows and even some broken bones before they deployed a set of tasers to finally bring him down.

Slowly Naruto passed out just as they clapped a set of cuffs on him and pitched him into the back of a cargo truck.

Hours later he found himself in some sort of cell along with nearly a dozen other boys and girls around his age. He was still cuffed up and additionally had a thick collar locked around his neck with a small white box and a red light on it.

When he tried to get it off the rest of the kids in the cell pressed away from him as if expecting him to explode. Taking in the look of terror on their faces, not directed at him but at his collar, he realized that was exactly what they expected.

Someone had locked a bomb around his neck.

The brief moment of terror for his own safety quickly faded as he feared what had become of his sister. Had she been taken by these people? Was she even alive?

He wasn't given much time to think about it thankfully. Food trays were slid into the cell. It was meager but enough to fill an empty stomach. As hungry as he was, having not eaten for at least two days now, Naruto downed his ration quickly. He could have eaten more but it was enough to survive for now.

Despite having been unconscious for who knew how long, Naruto found himself to still be exhausted. The young blond knew he had no chance of escaping and finding his twin sister while he was in his current state so he decided to try and build his strength up again.

His restless sleep was brought to a loud end when the sound of a loud alarm sounded and red lights flashed along the cold steel hallway outside of his cell. Three men, some of the largest Naruto had ever seen, pushed into the cell that Naruto and the others shared. The remotes in their hands clearly controlled the collars to some degree as Naruto and the other children jolted from a small electric shock passing through them.

The kids were lined up before being marched out of the cell door and down the hall. On either side they passed more and more cells, each one filled with different groups of people. Some in terrible shape, others obviously new arrivals, most were clearly homeless though a couple cells had normal looking people that appeared terrified and in rougher shape than the rest.

Finally they made it to the end of the hall and the leader of the three men, the biggest one too, swung open the door and began ushering them through it.

When Naruto passed the threshold he paused to take in his new environment. Long enough for the burly man to roughly shove him forward into the room. Not that room really did the space justice.

It appeared like some former warehouse of some kind but rudimentary stands had been erected around a fighting ring. The ring itself was more like a large mean looking cage. Sharp edges and bent pieces stuck in every direction and barbed wire coiled tightly around most of the bars.

Blood stains marked patches of the white floor within the ring and a scarred up man with dark hair and one eye bellowed something in his language into a microphone getting some cheers and shouts from the audience. Some exchanged money and others eyed Naruto and the other kids like they were looking over produce on a market shelf.

Naruto and the others were pushed through a gate in the cage wall and formed into a semicircle with the man in the middle as he continued to rile up the crowd with whatever he was saying. Whatever he was saying caused most of the other kids to begin crying while they all looked to try and put some space between one another.

The announcer continued talking as he made his way to the gate and stepped out before locking it behind him.

Naruto knew what was about to happen then. It wasn't hard to put the pieces together after all. He wasn't the first to move though. A taller boy lunged at the smaller child to his left with a raised fist and suddenly every child began fighting one another.

Naruto defended himself from the first to come after him. He thumped the older boy in the head and he dropped unconscious, hopefully, with one hit. The others paused when they saw that while the crowd roared in approval and began exchanging money at a more rapid rate as some of them pointed down into the ring at him.

As if realizing he was the biggest target here the seven other kids that remained in the ring rounded on him and attacked. It was a one handed fight in Naruto's favor still though. He grimaced at the sight of the broken arm he had just caused but otherwise didn't feel all that bad about defending himself. He always had against the bullies he faced in Konoha and this was just a more intense version of the same thing really.

Soon enough he was the only child standing amidst the applause of the audience. The announcer said several things and came in and lifted Naruto's bloodied knuckles up into the air. He had won, but Naruto still had no idea what the man was saying even as he clearly became annoyed by the fact Naruto wasn't responding.

The big men returned then and made it more clear what was wanted of him as they marched him back into the cell area. Except his new cell was just for him apparently.

And there he sat…until they fed him next and then marched him back out for another fight with just a little bit of a shock as an incentive.

The Detective

Bruce Wayne has come to know the darkest parts of Gotham extremely well for someone that would normally be relegated to the highest end of society. Perhaps to the point he actually knew it better than the penthouses and mansions he was supposed to frequent.

Most of that knowledge was spent hunting down and handling the criminals of the city. Most of which preyed upon the most vulnerable portion of the city, it's poorest citizens.

While he did what he could with his family's money to improve the lives and opportunity of Gotham's people, he had always felt his true calling was more hands on.

That had been part of what led him to investigating the strange arrival of a young girl that a few rumors had spread about. From what he gathered the girl had practically just appeared among the homeless population but had quickly gained some sort of attention as she was an apparent metahuman of some kind.

Frustratingly, as soon as he began looking into the situation personally the rumors around her dried up. No one seemed to talk about her or know about her and that had worried him.

Whoever the girl was he suspected she might have become the victim to one of Gotham's many vile gangs or perhaps even worse one of the deranged criminals that frequented the Arkham Institute.

He found no leads and sadly had to turn his attention to more current issues. Soon he had put the events into the back of his mind all but forgotten as he handled case after case of disturbing crimes.

Most recently he had begun to track the perpetrator of a long series of both attempted and successful rapes. The man was preying on young women and girls, primarily teenagers that had run away from home as teens often did, and he had recently shifted to even more violent attacks when he got away with the first few.

Tonight Bruce, or rather Batman had tracked the bastard down to a small homeless community that had recently cropped up in an abandoned mall. The community was large but no one there was willing to open their mouths about crimes that occurred there.

Batman suspected that was part of why the rapist had gotten away with so many in the past. He likely had some sort of violent reputation and it kept most witnesses and victims silent. That was what had led him to have to do his own investigation of the old mall community to try and find something to catch his target before he struck again.

The mess of makeshift homes that filled the building's interior made this especially difficult for him. To the point where he was unable to find any real evidence trail to try and follow to wherever his prey was hiding out.

Instead he had to rely on the foolishness of one young woman that was clearly down on her luck. She seemed unaware of the threats that stalked her in this part of the city if she wasn't careful and almost casually made her way through the old mall attracting the locals' attention.

Thankfully most of these people were far from criminals. They were victims if anything and had no interest in the young woman. A few were not so pure though.

Batman narrowed his eyes at the handful of unsavory figures that watched after the woman for a bit too long. Only one followed her though. As he passed under a flickering light Batman got a good look at his face. A near exact copy from the police sketch gathered from the survivors who had been able to come forward.

He stalked after them along the upper level of the mall. The girl realized she was being followed at some point and made the mistake of trying to lose her pursuer in the less populated service hallways of the building. Now though, with less witnesses her stalker gained on her to make his move.

He grabbed a hold of her by her arms and roughly drug her into an alcove. His dirty palm pressed itself over her mouth to keep her silent after her pinned her against the wall with his greater size.

Just as his now free hand began to creep along her body toward unwelcome destinations Batman made to leap down and end this attack before it could go any further.

He didn't get the chance though as an inhumanly fast figure slammed into the man and sent him sprawling into the hallway. Bruce watched this development in surprise as the hooded figure wasted no time and brought a fist down onto the man's head knocking him out cold without so much as a fight.

The victim of the man's attempt stood shocked before stammering out a tearful thanks and bolting down the hall. The small figure that had just beaten a man four times their size seemed to scan the room for a moment before dragging the downed man up into a sitting position in the same alcove he had just attempted such a heinous crime in.

The small figure was clearly a girl, a blonde one at that as some of her hair fell free while moving the unconscious criminal. Once she had done that though she took off into the shadowy halls of the old mall once again.

Batman kept his eyes on her as she went. He wanted to pursue her immediately but first he needed to deliver the rapist to the authorities. No doubt with a DNA test they could lock him away for a good long while, even just with the victims that had come forward.

As he set things up for Gordon and his men to take the criminal into custody when they found him. He paused at the realization that he had been looking for a lead on the same girl that had just stopped this crime for a short time.

With the bad guy handled he went to work tracking the girl down. She had once more gotten his attention, especially since she appeared to be acting like a vigilante.

He didn't really need another Barbara Gordon running around. One Batgirl was plenty for Gotham. Still perhaps he could speak with this kid and help keep her on the right path.

Finding her again wasn't hard once she dropped the hood. Her hair was long and bright and surprisingly clean for her surroundings. It acted almost like a beacon.

When he dropped down in front of her he had expected a lot of reactions. Perhaps fear, or maybe even hostility. Perhaps some sort of childish joy.

Instead, all he got was a confused look and a frown before she seemed to cock her head in wonder at what he wanted.

When he first began speaking to her he began to think she was perhaps deaf or mute, at least until she let out a short reply composed of a language that he had never heard before. It was distinctly similar to some east Asian languages he knew but clearly not one of them.

While he couldn't understand her it was clear she had picked up a couple words from her short time on the streets here in Gotham. It was impressive really, especially if her first time here was close to the time he first heard about her as a rumor.

If his mind wasn't made up with her saving the woman earlier, the fact that she was clearly intelligent if she could grasp enough information to communicate solidified his plan.

This girl would be his newest ward if he had any day in the matter.

Now he just had to play an incredibly long game of charades to make it happen. Thankfully Kaede, as he managed to discern her name was, was a smart girl just like he figured.

Though he had the sinking suspicion she took him far less serious than others after witnessing him trying to pantomime for her to come with him.

That didn't matter too much to him as he headed back to the waiting Batmobile with young Kaede following after him a bit hesitantly.

The Assassin

As the daughter of the legendary Ra's al Ghul a great many things were expected of Talia al Ghul. Chief among them was of course to be the best assassin at the disposal of the League of Shadows. Second only truly to her father Ra's himself.

That was why she was in Hong Kong. Rather, that was why she was still in Hong Kong. Her other responsibilities such as that of one of the leading members of the League often had her checking in on their various operations and partners around the globe. She had recently come to Hong Kong because one of such partners, a businessman and corrupt political official Xiang Min had been murdered in an aparent robery gone wrong.

The League of Shadows didn't leave things to chance though and sent a team to investigate the situation. They found a large amount of very incriminating materials and documents had been copied. Many of their other partners and agents were compromised, which was a nightmare scenario for the shadowy organization.

At least it was until the fools that had copied the material proved to be idiotic thugs playing at being mob bosses. They had nothing on the Triads and were trying to make a name for themselves. They would get their wish in the worst way possible.

Talia was dispatched by the Demon Head himself to make an example of those that thought they could blackmail the League of Shadows. She made quick work of them. They never blinked when a beautiful woman like Talia came knocking. Within moments of them letting her in, they had begun screaming for mercy.

Of course they received none. They only lived as long as they did because it was imperative that they be known widely for their mistake in finding themselves on the wrong side of the League's ambitions.

She was not done by simply butchering their leadership and moving on. No, her task was to make an example of their entire organization. Top to bottom, none of their associates would live, and none of their operations would remain functioning.

That had been a much more difficult task. Rooting out every cowardly little man and woman that had supported such idiotic bosses. At least some of the job was handled by the fools becoming desperate and trying something foolish like holding a triad member at gunpoint to be smuggled out of the city. She didn't even bother coming to deal with him herself. The triads had a similar mentality to the League when it came to those that threatened their members or businesses.

Unfortunately even with most of the members of the upstart crime family handled, most viciously, their enterprises were a bit more of an issue. It was obvious to Talia why these nobodies had gotten too big for their britches as the saying goes. They had come into too much money and power too quickly and it had developed a sort of high that eventually led to the very bad decision of trying to make demands of the Demon Head.

These business ventures they had were initially supposed to be destroyed outright, but Talia was second guessing that idea when she actually started looking into the books of the fool that had crossed them. They made hundreds of millions and had garnered plenty of blackmail material on politicians and businessmen not just in Hong Kong but across east asia as well.

Now she was waiting for word back from her father with his decision on what to do with them. He had told her he would call her tonight with his decision. It was annoying to her for him to take a full day to decide, but her father was not an impatient man by nature. She however was less prone to waiting around and decided to check out some of the various locations that were awaiting their fate to be determined unknowingly.

The most profitable businesses were for the most part partially legitimate ones that focused on shipping and cargo. The ones that seemed to gain the defunct criminals their most power and success though had been tied to human trafficking in one form or other. Whether through prostitution, labor, or even more disturbing means, they had built a miniature empire.

At the heart of it though was a makeshift sports arena complete with criminal sponsorships and marketing of everything from drugs to hookers. The arena was what was to be expected for an underground sport. As in it was all blood sport.

Various collections of people, primarily from around Hong Kong would be captured, especially the rarely missed homeless. They were then collared with small shaped charges, just enough to kill them should they be too resistant as well as a battery to provide an encouraging electric shock. Different groups were funneled into the arena a handful at a time and the announcer would then announce time for bets. After a short pause to make sure the house got it's money, the 'fighters' would be forced to battle one another.

Fortunately for most of the fighters the fights were not to the death. It was wasteful to simply kill talent left and right after all. Though plenty met a grisly end to keep the audience coming back for more.

Tonight though it was different. The young blond boy being forced into the arena opposite the seven foot monstrosity didn't look like he stood a chance against the burly adult he was set to fight to the death against. Talia initially scoffed at the thought, believing the people were simply excited to see a complete one sided slaughter of some poor child plucked off of the street.

That was when she noticed the bets. They were heavily in favor of the blond boy. He was simply dubbed the Tiny Titan, a stupid name but evidently fitting as he had never lost a fight before. Intrigued, she stayed around to see what would happen.

Talia al Ghul was someone that was rarely stunned by anything. She could take some of the most surprising situations head on without so much as a flinch. The sight of a little boy roughly ten years of age dismantling a full grown man who had clearly taken a few lives in the past was something that even she was caught off guard by.

As the fight finished though it only got more interesting for her. The boy turned to leave, obviously used to the system of coming into the ring, fighting, and then just leaving when he won. Instead, he was turned around roughly by the guards and clearly electrocuted by his collar until he approached the unconscious form of his former opponent.

He was confused until one of the guards made a slashing sign over his throat. The boy's eyes widened but the sudden addition of electricity pacified him easily enough. The act was mercifully quick and shocking efficient for one so young.

After that the boy was led out and Talia hummed in thought while they cleaned the ring for the next fight. The ring of her phone caught her attention and Talia was pleased to see her father was calling with an answer. She didn't say hello as she answered the call, simply waited for him to give his command before she would respond.

"I have decided to absorb the works of our former annoyance into the League. I'll be sending someone to take control of the various venues they controlled, you will help them settle in and return home after they have things in hand." Ra's commanded.

"Understood. I have an interesting note to bring up as well, father." Talia replied as she watched the next fighters be filed into the ring.

"What is it?" Ra's asked with some interest. If Talia was intrigued he likely would be as well.

"I have found something of interest for the League. Or rather someone." Talia said with a grin.

"Truly? Go on then, fill me in." The Demon Head instructed and Talia began telling him everything that she had witnessed.
