This originally was going to be for the 2021 UsaMamo we with the prompt "End of the world" but I never got around to writing it then. Instead, I'm using it for the 2022 UsaMamo week with the Free Day Prompt. Enjoy.

The Last Request of Sailor Moon

June 29th, 9:33 p.m.

The Other Family Chat

Nephrite: Everyone ready for tomorrow?

Makoto: I don't think we could prepare anymore if we tried.

Jadeite: All supplies are ready to go!

Rei: Yeah we need to just take the rest of the night to relax.

Ami: It's important we take the time to appreciate what's around us. Z and I are going to indulge in some Research into the Field of Graberian Philosophy and its Applications in real word scenarios.

Minako: You guys are going to study at a time like this? What is wrong with you two?

Kunzite: Mina-chan. Graber was a researcher in the field of female orgasms. It's their code for sex.

Zoisite: Damn it, man! I told you that in private.

Mamoru: Whatever you all do I want you all to take the time to appreciate each other and your lives. Tomorrow…well We'll deal with tomorrow when it comes.

Mamoru sighed as he finished typing out the message to the group chat. He was glad everyone wasn't worried about what was going to happen tomorrow. Unfortunately, despite his better effort, he was very concerned.

His attention turned from his phone to the night sky as he stood on the balcony of the house he and Usagi shared. It was a relatively clear night, complete with a beautiful full moon. It was the kind of thing he and Usagi would stare at together as they held each other tight. Unfortunately, the full moon wasn't alone in the night sky. A large, red ominous light was flickering close to it on the opposite side of the night's sky.

They had nicknamed the light, the Anomaly. It was a mass of shards of Chaos seeds not strong enough to become full monsters. Instead, they had banded together like a colony of ants, ready to consume the entire world. This was the phenomenon they had defeated in a previous timeline and gave birth to the creation of Crystal Tokyo as a result of the battle.

Of course, things were different in that timeline. Usagi had not become Eternal Sailor Moon, the Outer Senshi had not awakened, and his Shitennsou brothers had not been resurrected. Now, in this new timeline, there was still a good possibility they would defeat the remnant and he and Usagi would become the rulers of the planet. Yet at the same time with so many new variables in play, there was no what would actually occur.

The thoughts of destiny and battle were not what was causing Mamoru touch strife. It was the reason for the Anomaly coming to Earth. The entire team had researched every possible reason why the Anomaly had chosen Earth and only one answer became apparent. The Anomaly wished to consume the Star Seed born from the brightest Star Seed holder in the universe. It was heading straight for Earth hoping to consume his unborn child.

Mamoru sighed again and took a deep breath trying to center himself. He had to stay strong if he had any chance of being the support his wife needed right now. The thought of his wife snapped him from his funk as he decided to check on Usagi and made sure she didn't need anything.

He found her sitting in the spare bedroom. When they had bought the house soon after getting married, they had decided they would make sure to get three bedrooms. One for themselves, one for Chibi-Usa when she eventually came, and a spare room they used as a guest room and an office. Usagi had decided to use it to work on her Manga while on her maternity leave from her job as a manga assistant. Mamoru found her at the desk in the room finishing up some work.

"It's getting late," Mamoru observed, smiling at the sight of his wife being so diligent in her work despite how far along she was in her pregnancy. "Shouldn't you think about wrapping it up"

"I was just about to call it a night," Usagi replied, stretching out her arms over her head. She grabbed the papers she had been working on and handed them to Mamoru. "Give it a read. Tell me what you think."

Maori nodded and accepted the pile of papers his wife had offered. It was the storyboards for her own personal Manga project. The creator she worked for had insisted she take the time to plan out her own work. The creator had been very supportive and helped Usagi to grow with her drawing skills. Mamoru read it over, finding the story to be incredibly detailed and full of a lot of romance and drama.

"It's incredible," Mamoru commented as he read through the storyboards. "You captured the events of your time as Sailor Moon. This will make an incredible series. Are you sure about this name for my surrogate character? Darien Shields?"

"What?" Usagi shrugged. "I think you'd make a great Darien."

"I love the name you chose for yourself," Mamoru added as he looked up at Usagi and flashed her a loving smile. "Serena. It's like a form of Serenity."

"Glad you like it," Usagi giggled, enjoying how Mamoru was so engrossed in reading the storyboards. "I'm hoping I'll be able to get to it once Chibi-Usa can detach from me long enough to spend time with my mom for an afternoon or so. And if I become a Queen…well I guess I'll have to put it on a back burner for a bit longer and release it under a pseudonym."

"If only we had more time," Mamoru mused, unable to suppress a sigh of defeat. "You could finish the entire thing before Chibi-Usa was born."

"Hey, don't give her any ideas," Usagi teased. She looked down and rubbed her hand over her swollen belly. "She's already late. She was supposed to be here three years ago."

Usagi wasn't wrong. Instead of coming when she turned 22, they had not succeeded in getting pregnant (despite countless attempts) until now. The couple had worried about it at first but knew even if the timeline had changed it would only be a momentary delay before they were blessed with Chibi-Usa.

Usagi and Mamoru used the time to grow as people and enjoy each other. Mamoru had become a doctor as he wanted and was an accomplished pediatrician. Usagi had worked as an assistant to a famous Manga creator. The two of them had time to take vacations. They had seen Paris, putting a lock on the Pont Des Arts and put not only a lock for Mamoru and Usagi but also one for Serenity and Endymion.

The pair had also gone to the San Diego Comic-Con and been there when the creator Usagi worked for won an Eisner award. With their acceptance speech, they had insisted that if it wasn't for Usagi's help the ywouldn't have been able to accomplish it. The two had been given the time they needed to bond as a husband and wife.

"It was almost as if she was waiting for her Aunties and Uncle to get married," Usagi smiled as she picked up her phone and looked at her messages. "Oh, so that's what that Graberian thing meant. Ha ha ha."

"Hmm, you have a point," Mamoru admitted as he stroked his chin. Zoisite and Ami had finally tied the knot after being the last to get married. They had gotten engaged before Makoto and Nephrite but waited until Ami was done with her internship. She had just finished and had started a new position after coming back from their honeymoon. "Maybe destiny was letting us all get married to maintain our bonds before finally giving us its next big challenge."

"Well it's not like we didn't earn it," Usagi chuckled dryly. She put down the phone, closed her eyes, and smiled. "Such a peaceful night. Could be the last one for a while."

"Tonight is our last night of freedom," Mamoru replied as he put down the manuscript and stood up. He walked close to Usagi, knelt in front of her, and wrapped both his arms around her with his ear against her stomach. He had been doing this a lot since Usagi got pregnant as he insisted it made him feel like he was at absolute peace. Usagi would stroke her husband's hair as he held her and the pair would get lost in the moment. "Tomorrow we could be King and Queen, but at the very least, we are going to be parents. Whatever I can do for you tonight if it's in my power…I'll do it."

"I have an idea" Usagi replied with a smile as she kissed Mamoru's forehead. She stood up and walked towards the window. "Like you said, tomorrow will change everything snd there is a good chance I'll never be able to do this again. So…I want you to catch me."

Before Mamoru could ask a follow-up question, Usagi pulled her transformation brooch from her pocket and yelled "Moon eternal power makeup."

In a flash of light, Tsukino Usagi became Eternal Sailor Moon. The glamor used to mask her identity to others made her look just like she did the last time she transformed. There was no evidence she was pregnant at all.

"Like I said," Eternal Sailor Moon giggled as she flew out of the room and hovered right outside the window. "Catch me…if you can."

"Gladly," Mamoru smiled as he looked at his angel-winged wife. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his own transformation device, the star pocket watch he had held for the longest time. "Earth Crystal Power Suit Up!"

The magic swirled around him and Mamoru turned into Tuxedo Mask. He leaped out the window and started his own flight. Seeing him transform, Usagi flew off, putting distance between her and her husband. The two heroes flew through Tokyo, occasionally touching down on buildings to bounce higher into the sky.

After some time, Mamoru made a dash toward his wife with his arms wide open, attempting to catch her.

"Gotcha!" Mamoru announced. Unfortunately, Usagi saw him coming and dived out of the way of his advance. He flew over her head and had to pivot against the glass windows of a building to recover.

"Going to have to try better than that," Usagi giggled before blowing him a kiss and flying away.

"Oh you little minx," Mamoru smiled. Without realizing it, he had forgotten all about his worry and was lost in the moment trying to catch his wife. Devising a quick strategy, Mamoru bounced from building to building and began to build up momentum.

Usagi turned and found she had lost sight of Mamoru. "Where did he…"

Before Usagi could react, Mamoru had redirected the momentum he had built up, bounced off the ground, and caught his wife in his arms. He landed on the top of Tokyo Tower, looked down at Usagi with a smug smile, and commented, "I win."

"Baka," Usagi pouted, crossing his arms. "I let you win."

"Baka?" Mamoru chuckled. "Here I thought I'd grown out of being a baka to you."

"You're going to be a baka once in a while," Usagi giggled as she wrapped her arms around Mamoru's neck. The wings on her back folded accordingly as he held her close and soon the pair shared a deep kiss. "But you'll always be my baka."

The pair looked up at the sky and admired the full moon. The pair tried to get lost in the moment as they stared up at the night's sky. Unfortunately, the view was obscured by the ominous glow of the Anomaly.

"Hey Anomaly!" Usagi shouted as she extended her arm and flipped the Anomaly her middle finger. The act took Mamoru by surprise. "You want my baby? The baby I made with my soulmate? Come get it!"

"Yeah…Yeah!" Mamoru shouted, looking from his wife's gesture to the Anomaly. The act had reminded him of just how powerful they were when they stood together. "We've faced a lot worse than some scraps not good enough to become full Youma. You won't lay a finger on our child!"

"Damn straight!" Usagi agreed, wrapped both arms around Mamoru's neck, and pulled him in for another kiss.

"I love you," Mamoru admitted, as they rested their foreheads against each other. "Princess Serenity, Tsukino Usagi, Sailor Moon, Future Neo-Queen Serenity, and the mother of our child. Forever and always…you are my Usako."

"I love you too, Prince Endymion, Chiba Mamoru, Tuxedo Mask, Future King Endymion, and the father of our precious Chibi-Usa," Usagi replied, kissing him gently on the forehead. "You are always my precious Mamo-chan! Now take me home. I want us to cuddle the rest of the night together."

"Your wish is my command," Mamoru admitted as he started towards home with his wife and the treasure she carried safely secured in his arms. He had been reminded of the most important fact he had ever learned: There was nothing that could stand up to the power of the love they shared.

O.O.O

A/N: My thought in writing this one was simple "What would Usagi want to do with the last night she could become Sailor Moon? Have one more night out with Tuxedo Mask of course." Thanks to A Reptile Dysfunction , Dinky Charlie , and Silver Fairy for putting this on.

My usual betas were unable to edit so if there are errors my bad. I'm still working on my other stories. They will be finished…eventually. Reviews are love and help me keep coming back to do more.
