We all know of Tracy's struggles. But what of her best friend who started to fall for the son of Motormouth Maybelle? What was Penny going through other than her strict mother? How did other people look at her? And how does Seaweed feel about all this? This takes place in Hairspray Live! Universe from 2016 with Ariana Grande as Penny.

2. Quick Update!

Hello once again everyone! Well, now as you can see I'm doing a Hairspray story! I know I keep doing stories out of the blue without really notifying anyone but my brain is usually always working creatively.

So, I recently watched the 2016 version of Hairspray called "Hairspray Live!" that aired on NBC, and much like the 1988 and 2007 movie versions, I admired and respected the performances! It starred Ariana Grande, Harvey Fierstein, Jennifer Hudson, Martin Short, and many more star casts. I loved it so much that I had to write a story on Penny and her possible struggles that I imagined as she deals with the hardships of being in love with a colored boy.

I adored Ariana's version of Penny Pingleton. Which is another reason I wanted to write this story to possibly explore more of the character. All in all, I hope you all enjoy the story!
