It was within the years after Noah's death that we sons of Noah began spreading upon the Earth. From neareth to fareth land we traveled, and thus the lands became cultivated upon.
Though within those times, the lands were barren and the Earth was ripe. We split paths and traveled to all corners of Earth.
In those days, Noah had 11 sons, and I, Abuya, the son who is last born, travled to the far land of Iram, where I settled with my family.
And years later, a guest came and spoke with us wearing the strangest clothes upon his person.
He spoke, "come my ancestors, we must prepare for the slaughter."
We responded with confusion, though he would not leave.
He spoke, "I have been visited by the messengers of your God, who hast spoken by the lips of an angel.
"you shall see a great winged creature within the sky, and you shall lay upon your chest and pray in order to survive."
The man then left, and disappeared into the desert. The man has never been seen.
Thus my family retreated to the house where they began tending to the home.
It was at that time that I fell to my knees and a clash that like none other was heard within the sky.
I turned to see the source of the noise and my eyes beheld that of a great power unlike any ever seen before. It was that of an angel of the lord before me, and no words could describe the feeling within me as I gazed upon it.
For It appeared as a man, though no legs were visible. Surrounding the torso of the being were 9 arms, 8 on each side with one on the bottom of the torso. It's skin was the color of copper, and shone with a mettalic glean.
Upon the head of the angel was an unmoving face, with seven eyes and three mouths. No nose or ears or hair was seen upon the head.
Upon the back were 4 pairs of wings. It carried a sword within each of the hands, all carried the flame upon them.
A shape undescribable, constantly in the metamorphasis, covered in blinking eyes, surrounded the being.
The angel spoke in a tongue unlike that we seeth, without moving any of the mouths. We knoweth not what it spoke, though we knoweth what it say.
It sayeth, "Thou did not heed the warning of the prophet who is indeed your ancestor. Do you doubt the word of God?"
I spoke, "I do not doubt that of the lord my God, o' messenger of God! For I am a child of him."
It sayeth, "Then heed my call, for the leviathan is upon you, and none shall heed its wrath, for you are human."
The angel then left.
The leviathan came soonafter.
The screams of the creature were all I heard, for I layeth upon the earth and prayed to the lord God.
I felt it pass over me, and began shaking in a manner unhumanlike, for the power the beast shown was impossible.
It was as if the creature had a thousand mouths, and all of them were screaming. Soonafter, the screams of my wife and our sons joined the choir, and I could do nothing.
There was nothing left after the creature passed. I stood in the flattened desert, and saw nothing left of the great city of Iram.
