The hedgehog thinks to himself, "It's cold." His eyes stay shut. He's not sure why he feels fatigued, but allows his body to rest. He feels wet grass underneath, as well as hears birds chirping above him. "I must've been on a snooze cruise in green... Uh… Green… Green what?" he doesn't understand what compelled him to say that. He doesn't know any place beginning with the word 'green'. As a matter of fact, he can't remember the name of… Well any place.

He decides to gather his bearings, opening his eyes and getting up. Trees scattered as far as the eye can see. A lush forest but no wildlife besides the birds. Unknown to the area, but feeling used to it. The hedgehog walks forward through the forest. It had only been a couple of minutes, but it felt like hours passed. "Man, how big is this forest?" He says to no one but himself, growing more impatient. He begins to speed up into a light jog, or at least that was the intention. His mind is not all there pondering his current situation. He fails to notice the surrounding forest has become quite… Blurry.

The hedgehog isn't paying attention which causes him to collide with a tree. He's knocked on his back, sliding a fair distance on the ground. "Ugh, I should focus on where I'm going" he groans as he gets himself up. Something rustles in the leaves of the tree causing his reality check. He stares at the movement occurring, a curious look on his face. Hovering out of the leaves, the source of the rustling shows itself.

The hedgehog analyzed the pyramid shaped, metallic machinery. The suspense of not knowing what will happen makes him a bit unnerved. A circuitry design is evident on the object as it glows magenta. The color fades and reappears with a two-second interval strobe light effect. On the tip of its pyramid shape, a light forms getting wider as seconds pass. A sound akin to whirring energy pierces the noises of the forest.

Feeling threatened, the hedgehog prepared to run from the contraption. But as he moved a muscle, the light shot at him in the shape of a beam. Yet, the hedgehog was out of the way before the light got near him. "That could've been trouble if I didn't move. But, how could this thingamabob harm anyone with how slow it fires?" he ponders. Time to think cuts short as the sound of whirring energy rings out. Not taking any chances, the blue hedgehog runs from the gizmo. He looks back shocked to see the machine on his tail. The forest looks blurry which he acknowledges this time, "I need to lose that thing!" he thinks while staying on the move. He's unable to register many of the sounds hitting his eardrums. What he is sure of is a rapid succession of beams shot behind him.

He turns his head back to see what's going on, "THERE'S THREE OF YOU?! WHY ARE YOU ALL SO PERSISTENT?! WHAT DID I DO?!" he exclaims out loud, unable to contain his thoughts. He feels an emotion rare to him, making it all the more bothersome… Fear. He hears a slightly garbled voice echo in his head, "G̷o̶ ̶l̸e̸f̷t̶ ̴s̵o̴n̵i̶c̵!̷" He wonders about the name, "Sonic? Is that… Me?!" He doesn't understand, but it's the only thing to give him guidance since waking up. He sees a bright light highlighting an opening in the distance. This is his way out of the forest and from the threats chasing him. Speaking of which, he could hear them cutting through the air on his tail. But, he realized it's been minutes since he last heard a beam fired.

He looks back a third time only to develop a look of horror on his face. The machines concentrated the largest beam of them all. It lands inches behind the hedgehog as he gets propelled by the explosion. But before he's blown far off balance, he feels a sudden burst of energy. He's engulfed by a magenta force causing him to speed through off a cliff. The momentum carrying him, he gets a view of a landscape not full of trees. It's not full of anything. It's quite wide and barren, with lots of hills and vast pastures. There are some waterfalls in the distance and stone architecture around the area.

"WHAT THE HELL!" a voice exclaims. The hedgehog looks down and sees a figure, but can't make out any details. He sees the figure more clearly due to the momentum wearing off as he's plummeting in their direction. "WOAH!" the hedgehog yells getting closer to the figure. He lands on them as a wormhole spontaneously appears, sucking both of them through it.

When he regains consciousness, he groans, feeling an odd sense of déjà vu. The memory of the machines that tried to kill him pops in his head. He gets up. "Oh wow, where am I?" he says out loud as he analyzes his surroundings. It looks like he's in a structure up in the sky. There are fragments of architecture around that all look familiar to him.

An irritated voice behind him then speaks out, "Ugh, hey you! What the hell is your problem, huh?! Were you trying to ambush me?!" The hedgehog turns around to see who the voice belongs to. The figure gets a proper look at him. They gasp, become wide-eyed, then the fiercest scowl appears on their face.

The hedgehog gets a feeling they're not happy with his presence at all. If their face isn't a giveaway, the electricity from their fingertips is.
